Environmental Inspections and Audit Findings A total of 1 environmental inspection and audit was
undertaken during the reporting period. These included a combination of daily site inspections, weekly
internal and external inspections, monthly checklists, post rainfall inspections and any additional
monitoring that was undertaken during the reporting period. These inspections identified a total of 2
minor issues all of which have since been closed out within the required timeframes. The majority of
issues identified during these inspections can be attributed to site establishment and have since been
rectified through the implementation of additional checking mechanisms to ensure that all issues are

Monitoring Monthly construction noise monitoring was undertaken during December 2023. Noise
monitoring was conducted at all of the locations outlined in the Environmental Impact Statement and
the EMP. The identification of these sites has been based on noise-sensitive receptors in the project
Environmental Impact Statement and approved for the Elevated metro construction activities. 2 shifts
of additional noise monitoring were also undertaken during the reporting period to support

during the reporting period and during the whole project implementation

• Monitoring There were no fauna deaths in the project for the month of MAY.

• (GRM) This project has not received opposing views or reactions on social media and local
and national media. It has gained the acceptance and approval of society.
• GAP
• Gender There is no gender discrimination in recruitment. The female employee rate of the
project is 5%. The local employment rate of the project is 35%, which is quite high. These
rates can be considered normal or even higher compared to the construction sector rate

Introduction on World Environment Day:
World Environment Day is used to celebrate on the 5th June to make the people
get aware of the Environment and its effects on the daily life of the people. People
are used to celebrate World Environment Day to make them aware about the facts
and effects of the Environment on the life of all the people who are living due to the
Natural Environment.
There are lots of activities which are done by the people in the Environment to
develop some things for the welfare of the people. The environment is a Natural
Thing where people live and do a lot of activities for their own welfare and benefit.
People are used to damage and save the Environment resources by which people
are affected due to various bad as well as good effects of the Environment.
A theme is chosen for World Environment Day each year. 2023 World
Environment Day’s theme was “Beat Plastic Pollution”.

To promote the World Environment in the community, schools, colleges,
workplaces, on roads etc.
To decrease the rate of use plastic.
To encourage all the public to use cloth bags instead of plastic bags.
To make the people aware about the environmental pollution about the plastic
usage.
To encourage all the citizens to plant trees in our surroundings.
To reduce the use plastic bags.
