IBM Software Group Readiness Plan
 A Framework to facilitate communications between IBM and the Customer, designed
to set proper expectations prior to solution implementation, establish ownership
and responsibilities, assess risk and identify issues, and set a proper course of
action to assure that the solution will work for the customer.
 A readiness plan is a living document collaboratively created by team members from
the customer and IBM.
 A readiness plan can be used as part of or the complete documentation for a project.
 A readiness plan can also be used as an infrastructure or development lifecycle
reference document
 There is no cost to the customer for creating a readiness plan
 A core readiness plan contains three sections: support, education, and skills gap
analysis.
 These three sections are the foundation of a readiness plan and may be all you ever
need if you have your environment and processes documented elsewhere.
 The different sections can be use to document diagrams, processes, personnel contact
information and other data relevant to your specific project or environment.
 The readiness plan can be used as a customer project or infrastructure "handbook"
that you can give to new team members or consultants to get them up to speed quickly
on the details of your project or infrastructure.
