The security Dilemma is the them of the presentation and it has been explained exactly why states goes to war
Security is the deepest and most abiding issue in politics. At its heart is the question: How can people live a decent and worthwhile existence, free from threats, intimidation and violence?' The search for security is therefore linked to the pursuit of order; and for the establishment of relative peace and stability amongst individuals and groups with different needs and interests. These concerns are commonly thought to resolved in the domestic realm by the existence of a sovereign state, a body capable of imposing its will on all the groups and institutions within its borders. Nevertheless, domestic security raises important issues, particularly about the roles of the institutions of the 'coercive state'; the police and the military. However, the issue of security is often considered to be especially pressing in international politics because the international realm, unlike the domestic realm, is anarchical, and therefore threatening and unstable by its nature. There has been fierce theoretical debate about whether this implies that international conflict and war are inevitable features of world affairs, and about the extent to which states are able to keep war at bay through cooperation. These debates have become increasingly pressing due to the advent of new challenges to international security, such as the rise of transnational terrorism and the proliferation of nuclear weapons. Finally, growing interest in the concept of 'human security' has shifted attention from the security of the state to the security of the individual, and, in the process, widened the notion of security to include, for instance, economic security, food security and personal security.
Realists advance a power politics model of world affairs in which security is primarily understood in terms of 'national security' and war is kept in check by the balance of power. The liberal belief in interdependence and balance in world affairs inclines them to place their faith in 'collective security', while critical theorists have either emphasized the extent to which state interactions are mediated by beliefs, values and assumptions, or exposed masculinist biases in the conventional realist paradigm.
Though the worst intelligence failure, the USA took maximum advantage of the 9/11 tragedy and embarked on the mission to accomplish the objectives set forth in the infamous neo-con paper, known as the American Century.
America employed all its -military, diplomatic and financial, to wage a war of terror on several countries besides Afghanistan-its starting point.
Whether it was a stellar success or a dismal failure, it has cost the world massively in terms of loss of human lives, financial losses, refugees crises, missed opportunities, and surprisingly, increased global terrorism

In this presentation given at Planning-ness 2014, Dr Lisa Azziz Zadeh of USC discussed some neuroscience studies that reveal how the brain works during creative problem solving. She then translated these into actions that could be taken to promote creative thinking.
How to make the ordinary extraordinary Planning-ness
Ordinary is defined as “not unusual, different, or special”—essentially, a synonym for boring. But why is it that we are so quick to put negative connotations around this word? The majority of our lives are made up of ordinary things that might seem small, but can be some of the most meaningful parts of our days. In this session Megan Averell teaches us how to strip back our fascination with the extraordinary, and get in touch with ordinariness, bringing it back from discredit, and with it, bring back some relevance.

How to prevent humanitarian debacle in the contemporary worldFernando Alcoforado
It is time for humanity to provide the most urgently possible of tools necessary to take control of their destiny and put in place a democratic governance of the world. This is the only way to end war and terrorism and, ultimately, stop the decay in the course of humanity. Democratic world governance is unbelievably necessary because there is no other means capable of building a world in which every woman, every man of today and tomorrow have the same rights and the same duties, and in which the interests of the planet and all nations, all forms of life and future generations, are finally taken into account.
How to prevent humanitarian debacle in the contemporary worldFernando Alcoforado
One observer aware of what happens in the world realizes that we live in a process of unprecedented economic, political and social breakdown in human history whose product has been widespread violence in all parts of the Earth. The main responsible of all this are, on the one hand, the chaotic capitalist economic system and on the other, the ungovernable international system. From its origins in the sixteenth century as a mode of production, capitalism has been characterized by barbarism which means savagery, cruelty, inhumanity, incivility. Massacres, genocides and multiple forms of human degradation characterize capitalism in its historical development. In turn, the international system has not prevented wars between great powers and imperialist action practiced by them for centuries against the peripheral capitalist countries even less establish world peace.
The writer sets out to study excerpted samples of the war speeches made across the world between the World War eras and the present with a view to finding out the linguistic choices favoured by war leaders over time to drum up support for wars. It is argued here that there may be something unique in the linguistic choices made in war speeches which convince people to support the prosecution of wars despite the wanton destruction that follows them. Framed on a descriptive research design, with stylistics as the theoretical framework, the study examines the excerpts chosen by deliberate sampling so as to identify and analyze the features they share. The analysis reveals that the speeches share many linguistic features in common, all of which may be responsible for the control of the minds and actions of the people.
Historically, all the wars that have taken place throughout the history of mankind shows that one of its consequences is the emergence of refugees from conflict areas such as occurred during the Second World War in Europe. The recent wave of refugees has as Western powers most responsible led by the United States that occupied and disrupted Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, in addition to the attempted military intervention in Syria, among other countries. This makes it becomes imperative the end of disorder, of chaos that has characterized international relations throughout history.
Urges the creation of a new world order to be able to prevent wars and international conflicts which result in major humanitarian crises such as those that occur at this time.

A world without war is a utopian idea embraced by most peace-loving citizens of the world. Contrary to the wish of the vast majority of the world population, war happens for one reason or the other. So long as the war-mongers and the war industry exist, wars are here to stay depriving humanity of the prospect of world peace. Some of the reasons why nations go into war are over a territorial dispute, natural resources, annexation of a neighbouring country, etc. Despotic leaders wage war for the purpose of spreading their ideologies and establishing their fame and glory. At times, in their hunger for power, they are prepared to kill their fellow citizens of the country. History provides ample evidence as to the number of people killed in wars perpetrated by tyrannical leaders. Leaders like Adolf Hitler (1889-1945), architect of the Holocaust, Benito Mussolini (1883-1945), Joseph Stalin 1878-1953), Mao Tse-tung (1893-1976), Slobodan Milosevic (1941-2006), and many others waged war to establish their power. Pol pot (1925-1998), Vladimir Lenin (1870-1924) and the likes brutalize their own people to be in the seat of power. After fighting wars on land, sea and sky, superpowers are heading towards a space war. They are planning to install missiles in space and fire them with a push of a button from their command centre on earth. In realizing the agony and horrors of war, the unanswered question in all of our minds is that, after hundreds of years of our human civilization and modernization, why have we not come to think of a way how we can end the war and achieve global peace. While leaders are still thinking of holding on to their power and glory, peace-loving citizens of the world are still hopeful of a better world that can be created in the absence of war in the world.

What will happen to Russia after Putin? National project Russia XXI: Smart Ru...Azamat Abdoullaev
The first quarter of the XXI century for Russia can already be called the era of Putin.
How and when will the president change: with or without shocks, in 2018 or in 2024, will finally determine both the character of the era and the immediate future of Russia.
Today in the age of the digital world and smart technologies, any country has only two development scenarios: bad, stupid or deadlock "development" with all forms of decline and collapse or clever, including development with all forms of recovery and flourishing.
The main tasks of the "Russia 21" Project: SMART RUSSIA - SMART RUSSIA are defined as:
Creation of a high quality of life through large-scale use of innovative development strategies, introduction of the latest information and communication technologies and eco-efficient solutions in the urban and rural environment, in the economic sector, in the social sphere, in the sphere of environmental protection, in the field of civil security, as well as in the everyday life of citizens.

21st century cities: smart cities in India, or how to develop future citiesAzamat Abdoullaev
The success or failure in meeting the world’s most pressing challenges will be decided in cities, which are reaching a tipping point on many issues:
poor governance and weak institutions (#1 perceived impediment to prosperity);
inadequate infrastructure (US$78tn of investments needed over the next 10 years);
rising inequality (1bn living in poverty in cities, 75% of cities worse off than 20 years ago; housing (881mn living in slums, 1bn new homes needed in cities);
crime (top concern for citizens); environmental challenges (cities occupy 2-3% of land mass but account for 75% of natural resource use and emissions, 70% are already dealing with the effects of climate change);
and new and pervasive risks (terrorism, higher securitisation, disease and pandemics) (source: UN-Habitat, UN, World Bank); 21st Century Cities: Global Smart Cities Primer, Bank of America, ML, 2017].
Physics X.0: Nobel prizes, Universal Principle, Mathematics of NatureAzamat Abdoullaev
We review Physical Science by formulating the universal principle of reversibility in terms of force, convertibility, unity, and mathematics of relationship.
The Reversibility Principle is advanced as the essential construct of nature integrating the basic natural phenomena and bringing forth a single strategy of physical science for the future Nobel Prize discoveries.
It produces a systematic modelling of diverse physical forces and energies, processes and phenomena to predict the ac-tions of physical forces and effects, to discover and exhibit natural relationships.
The fundamentality of discovery implies if there is the Faraday effect, Lorentz-Zeeman effects, Doppler effect, Einstein’s photoelectric effect, Compton effect, Cherenkov effect, Mössbauer effect, Hall effects…., there MUST be the Inverse Faraday effect, Lorentz-Zeeman effects, Doppler effect, Einstein’s photoelectric effect, Compton effect, Cherenkov effect, Mössbauer effect, Hall effects,…, by LAW, of Reversibility of Effects and Convertibility of Forces and Energies.

On the First Principles and Laws in Physical Science: Force-Relations, Convertibility, and Reversibility
The Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded 109 times to 201 Nobel Laureates between 1901 and 2015, according to the Nobel Foundation. The key achievements lie in the serendipitous and intuitive and ingenious discovering of empirical physical laws and effects, as the Einstein’s law of photoelectric effect, the Compton effect, the Cherenkov effect, the Mössbauer effect, the Hall effects and others, enriched with new discoveries of subatomic entities, symmetry principles, conservation laws and unified force fields theories.
The formulated Principle of Process Reversal and its Convertibility Laws enable the description of diverse physical processes and phenomena and the prediction of actions of physical forces and effects in the systematic and consistent ways without having to consider the details of the courses of physical processes and systems.
It is shown that the Principle of Process Reversal combines all the key attribute of universal laws of nature: asserts the interdependence between varying quantities of physical properties; states that physical events occur in an invariant order; supports cause and effect relationships, and states a constant regularity in the relations or order of physical phenomena in the world, embracing the empirical regularities of numerous physical effects.
Above everything, the Reversibility Law implies that if there is some physical effect in nature, there must be its inverse, converse or reversed action, otherwise it is not a real effect. Or, if there is the Doppler effect, there must be the Inverse Doppler effect by LAW, the Law of Reversibility.

Working with data is a challenge for many organizations. Nonprofits in particular may need to collect and analyze sensitive, incomplete, and/or biased historical data about people. In this talk, Dr. Cori Faklaris of UNC Charlotte provides an overview of current AI capabilities and weaknesses to consider when integrating current AI technologies into the data workflow. The talk is organized around three takeaways: (1) For better or sometimes worse, AI provides you with “infinite interns.” (2) Give people permission & guardrails to learn what works with these “interns” and what doesn’t. (3) Create a roadmap for adding in more AI to assist nonprofit work, along with strategies for bias mitigation.
