Recently, we got interacted with one “GRID Graduate” and found this quite interesting. GRID Leadership is based on behavioral science principles that integrate people development with organization development. It challenges mental models related to achieving results with people and develops knowledge, skills and attitudes to foster relationship competency, team building and systematic organizational change. Key lessons include “realization on self-deception”, “intention not the same as action” & “wherever a person in the grid is, change is possible”. Mr. Usman Ghani from USA, author, Grid Expert and partner of Grid International Inc. conduct, GPS Sessions in Pakistan.
After this session, we organized iThink sessions with out team, to find the implement-ability of these concepts in our organization. Many new thoughts are coming and being added in this concept.
One of the core is, concern for People. The concept explained in GRID offered a particular value of Individuals.
But, we have found that concern for people should be divided in two parts. Different parts (Individuals, Systems & Processes) are the factors involves. We should count them as variables. Being experts, we should find the correct relationships between these variables. So, the better we are in finding the relationships b/w these variable and closest to the results can give us the leverage to be 9x9. Hope, these presentations will serve the purpose, to add more value in GRID concepts.

Introduction to geomorphology in GRASS GIS - by Skyler SorsbySkyler Sorsby
GRASS GIS comprises a powerful geographic tool with which to analyze topography and tectonics. Specifically, GIS aids investigation of elevation data and fluvial hydrology. Here is my personal introduction to the creation and manipulation of the data from DEM's in GRASS GIS.

Standard A-A' topographic profiles are widely used in the geosciences to construct cross sections and investigate surficial processes. However, simple line profiles fail to capture the wider topographic regime. Here, I present a workflow to calculate a swath profile in GRASS GIS. The basic premise is, a swath profile "looks off to the side" along each step in a standard profile line, and calculates min/mean/max elevation, hence producing a statistically-relevant 2-d approximation of topography.

A journey from a bad kpi to an excellent strategyAleksey Savkin
When I face a business challenge I'm trying to see the root of the problem. Having a quick-fix solution is fine, but what if a quick-fix solution is not possible unless fundamental issues are resolved. I see this often with KPIs. People ask to help with KPIs for this or for that, but the problem that they actually experience is a fundamental one - they have a vague strategy that is hard to follow.
Recently I had a conversation with Pablo, one of our Spain-based customers. His company is a leading national manufacturer and his question was about a KPI to help with the poor performance of their business. Our dialog was really insightful for both of us. Pablo sorted out things about strategy and KPIs; I was able to trace verbally the problem of a bad KPI back to its root - a poorly formulated strategy.
The result is not an article, but a dialog between me and Pablo. Together we completed a journey from a pointless KPI request to ideas about formulating a better strategy:

Dac for high speed and low power applications using abacuscsandit
This paper proposes a Chinese Abacus Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) for high speed and
low power applications like audio and video applications. This circuit of DAC uses resister
strings to get a good analog output. The designed DAC uses the algorithm of abacus. Instead of
using binary code, here we use abacus code to control the switches. So the complexity and the
area will be reduced automatically. The 8-bit DAC is comprised of 12 resistors and 24 NMOS
switches. The 8-bit Abacus resistor DAC requires 12 resistors and 24 switches. The 8-bit
resistor-string DAC requires 255 resistors and 256 switches. The most important advantages
are that the numbers of both resistors and switches are all reduced effectively. The simulation
environment uses 1 μm process technology.
Intruders are the attackers who attempt to breach the security of a network. They attack the network in order to get unauthorized access. Intruders are of three types, namely, masquerader, misfeasor and clandestine user.
The schematic diagram is the hallmark of the design room of the electronics industry. It is a diagram that shows the connections and functions of a circuit arrangement by means of graphical symbols. It does not show the physical relationships of the components within a circuit.
Such a diagram makes it possible for a person schooled in electronics to trace a circuit with comparative ease. For this reason it is used for:
• design and analysis of circuits
• for instructional purposes
• for trouble-shooting.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:
