This document discusses the use of stop motion animation in music videos. It explains that stop motion manipulates images to create the illusion of movement, and was used in the music video for Little Comet. It describes how stop motion is created by taking many photos as the subject moves, and that when played back quickly, it gives the appearance of slow motion. We Decided to use stop motion as the use of this
technique that manipulates images to look as if
their moving, this is often use in videos for slow
beat/indie music, one of the original music
videos for little comet actually used this process
for the whole of their music video and it created
such a interesting outcome of
this jitery filming that however
the appearance in more unique
as compared to recording a
video.

In order to create a stop motion clip, the use of
camera with a high shutter speed is needed.
Multiple picture are taken straight away as the
actor/actress moves and this can take up to 10 to
200 shots. When all this images are uploaded
and previewed, you can see that everything you
change to the following image proceeds to
moving very slow motion but when put together
it creates a quick clip (depending on how long
the images need to last for in the video).

We used stop motions in different ways for
narrative (present the story line), illustrate
(the use of representation) and portray
(locations or actress)our video. We
represented a lot of our clips in stop motion
but still kept the tradition filming, here’s a
example of one of our stop motion clips.
