The Crookes are a British indie
rock band who formed in Sheffield in
2008. The Crookes have 3 Albums;
âChasing After Ghostsâ, âHold Fastâ, and
âSoapboxâ with a new album coming up
in 2016 called âLucky Onesâ
They are currently 4 members:

3. Chosen Album
We decided to do an âEssentialsâ album, this will involve
pulling together all the most popular songs by the band.
Looking into some other âEssentialsâ albums we noticed
they are quite simplistic look so our chosen album will
follow a simplistic style.
Essentials albums often include the artists top hits in
them so when creating the album we will make sure to
include all of âThe Crookesâ top singles including our
chosen song.
4. DVD Idea
With the DVD we decided to include live performances of a
number of songs, exclusive interviews with the band and a
selection of image reels of band photoshoots and behind the
scenes. We decided to include this as it felt like we were giving
the audience exclusive extras that can only be found on the
DVD. The interviews and secret images is something that loyal
fans would really enjoy as they will feel like they're getting
more than any other fan and finding out more knowledge about
each member on a more personal level.
5. Mood Board and Digi-pak Draft
We wanted to keep to the indie conventions as close as
possible, so we decided to try and keep the digi-pak colour
scheme and style simplistic. We did this by keeping the images
to a minimum and having a black, white and grey colour
scheme so that not much attention is drawn away and also
emphasising the raw talent of the band which is key to many
indie rock musicians.
6. Target Audience
Our ideal target audience ranges from ages of 16 â 30, who
listen to indie rock and have a passion for music, no blinded or
phases by overwhelming cover upâs and colours. To appeal to
this target audience we have included music loving special
features with interviews and exclusive live performances on the
DVD. We also kept as close to the indie style as possible so that
the audience have a sense of familiarity when they see the
digi-pak, poster and music video. The simplistic style will rear
towards the slightly older end of the target age but still be
made eye-catching enough for all of our target audience.
