2. Research Paper On The Abrahamic Covenant
Deals are made between people daily, whether one person must owe something or both
have a repayment to make. The deal between Abraham and God is referred to the
Abrahamic Covenant. This covenant between Abraham and God is said to be
unconditional because God has debts owed to Abraham. God promises Abraham land and
to spreadhis offspring across the land, while Abraham has nothing to owe to God.
However, Abraham does pay God in a spiritual way. Unlike the physical gifts that God
promises to Abraham, Abraham spreads the word of God, builds alters, and praises,
obeys, worships, and fears God. The Abrahamic Covenant would then be considered as
conditional. The Abrahamic Covenant is introduced in Genesis 12:1 3 with God
promising Abraham a great nation, abundant blessings, a significant name, and to bless
those who bless Abraham, while cursing those who curse him. In verse seven, God then
shows the land that he will grant to Abraham s offspring.... Show more content on

Although, without Abraham following through with all of the actions he took there
is no possible way that God could have trusted Abraham to spread his faith. God
delayed giving Abraham all of the promised expectations for years to ensure that he
was ready. Abraham received all that was promised to him in the covenant and God
has received what he expected with his faith still spreading today. The Abrahamic
Covenant can be viewed as conditional through the findings in multiple chapters of
Genesis. Abraham receives the promises God gives while God has his faith grown
through Abraham and his offspring. The difference between God s and Abraham s
promises is that God explained what he would do for Abraham, yet Abraham did not
know what he was giving for God. This covenant was made between Abraham and God
over many years, as are some deals today. Whether conditional or unconditional, deals
between people will always have a place in
3. The Effect Of Reaction Time On Cyclohexanone
Results and discussion
4.1. Polymerization mechanism
In base catalyzed aldol condensation of cyclohexanone (A), KOH or NaOH acts as a
non nucleophilic agent. In presence of base, cyclohexanone initially turns to enolate by
losing О±пЂhydrogen. The formed enolate then reacts with the carbonyl group of the
second molecule and leads to the formation of aldol intermediate. The polymerization
reaction proceeds further by the reaction between the carbonyl group of third molecule
and the activated methylene group of the second molecule. In the present study, the effect
of reaction parameters on conversion of cyclohexanone and the product properties was
extensively analyzed. The most probable dimeric (monomer repeating unit (n) =1) and
polymeric (n ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

**VL = viscous liquid. Fig. 3. Effect of reaction time on (a) Monomer conversion, (b)
Hydroxyl value, and (c) Iodine value of products (reaction conditions: temp. = 110 п‚°C,
A/K ratio = 0.2).
The result (Table 2) shows that there is no significant change in acid values of the
products with reaction time. The average acid value of the product samples is around
0.29. The analysis shows that solubility of the products in MTO decreases with the
increase of reaction time. The reason for the gradual decrease in solubility may be due
to the increase in average molecular weight of the products with time. The measured
solubility of 20 hrs sample is 65 wt%, whereas the solubility of monomer is around 92
wt%. The data also shows that viscosity of the products increases with the increase of
reaction time. Both the phenomena (i.e. decrease of solubility and increase of viscosity
with time) clearly indicates that the extent of polymerization reaction increases with
reaction time. The average value of moisture content in the products is 1.82

Good morning/afternoon Year 10s. Murder. A single simple word which still
provokes thousands of emotions to swirl and huge debates to erupt. It is an ongoing
serious issue and thus, there are a countless number of articles written by the media on
murder. In this generation of technology and new innovations, we expect and assume
that the news delivers fair, balanced and accurate representations of people, issues and
events. However, now I ask you, is this true? An example of how murder is presented
in the media can be seen in the articles Esplanade death: Family threaten to kill 11 year

In the first article, the victim; Patty Slater is said to be found unconscious shortly
afterwards with wounds to his chest, ankle and a deep cut to his head which were too
distressing for court giving the readers a horrifying image of the occurrence. The
second article does not focus on any of the injuries caused but magnifies on only the
boy and his current situation, refusing to mention any information on the violence. For
example, Daily Telegraph writer reports on how the boy has only one soccer ball and
allowed into the yard for only 20mins a day . This convinces us, the audience that he is
still a normal child and makes us pity the poor childhood he is experiencing. In
conversely, in the first wounds are described in detail but with very little description of
the boy s current struggles. Another example of how the media selects information is
the use of one sided quotes and the exclusion of others. In article one, quotes only from
the victim s family are mentioned, especially the victim s cousin. Although in the
second article, the victim s mother s quotes are mentioned, the majority are from the
boy s family friends. These two articles fail to present the opposition side and as a
result, the articles do not provide a fair report of the event. Examples of these

Abstract
In 2010 the Institute of Medicine (IOM) generated a report making recommendations that
outline progressive planning for the future of nursing. The Institute has responded to
barriers and offers solutions to the rapidly changing healthcare model in light of the
affordable care act (The future of nursing: Leading change, advancing health, 2011). This

The patient may become sicker and acquire hospital complications. It not only costs the
patient more money, but could in turn cost the hospital as well. That bed could have been
used for another patient in need of care.
Nurses Role as a Leader
Hand in hand with education progression and nurses being full partners, the IOM fully
expects that many more nurses will emerge as leaders. The report proposes that
leadership be embedded in nursing education to prepare nurses for this role. It describes
the importance of mentorship in helping nurses to achieve advancement, leadership and
partnership. Along with leadership roles a nursing residence or preceptorship program
would be prudent to better transition nurses all the way from novice nurse into more
multifaceted responsibilities and roles (The future of nursing: leading change, advancing
health 2011). What a culture change this would be from nurses who are rumored to eat
their young to nurses who mentor and guide those around them. A culture of teamwork
working towards a common goal would increase nursing retention, satisfaction and in turn
produce happy nurses who make happy patients!
Meeting the Goals of the IOM
Many challenges lay in the way of implementing the goals of the IOM. While the goals
are necessary, they may be difficult to implement. The challenges are:
1. Achieving a higher education, may be difficult for many. A large percentage of homes

Under the Constitution the federal government can unquestionably suspend the
privilege of the writ of habeas corpus if the public safety requires it during times of
rebellion or invasion. The issue is whether Congress or the president holds this power.
Historical perspective on that issue in the context of the Civil War requires a study of
the actions of Congress and the president, Lincoln s defense of his suspensions of the
writ, and presidential and congressional dealings with and reactions to each other. The
relationship between Lincoln and Congress, like the power of suspension, has received
limited historical attention, with the only extensive treatment a 1907 article by
University of Wisconsin professor George Sellery.
The writ of habeas corpus provides individuals with protection against arbitrary and
wrongful imprisonment. But it does not necessarily protect other rights, such as the
entitlement to a fair trial. In our country anyone accused of a crime is presumed
innocent until proven guilty. This seems to be the case unless you are accused of
terrorism, then you are held outside of the US and are not subject to the same laws or
privileges allowed within US jurisdiction.
Habeas corpus is important to the current situation because it has to do with the right of
defendants to be charged with a crime and tried for that crime in a timely manner.

7. Malnutrition, Its Impacts And Consequences Essay
Discuss and define malnutrition, its impacts and consequences in both adult and
paediatric patients, reflecting on your experiences from classroom discussions, A
placement and the key evidence base. Include discussions of screening and use of the
nutrition support algorithm and describe and discuss the tools used in settings to enable
effective nutritionsupport.
Malnutrition is the imbalance of body nutrients, energy and protein, which cause
negative impacts on the body and its functions. Imbalances can mean levels exceed
bodily requirements (overnutrition), leading to conditions like obesity and vitamin
overdose effects. Malnutrition also refers to insufficient intake (undernutrition), which
can cause conditions such as anaemia.
From a clinical perspective, malnutrition is a body mass index (BMI) of less than 18.5kg
/m2, unintentional weight loss greater than 10% within the last 3 6 months, a BMI of
less than 20kg/m2 and unintentional weight loss greater than 5% within the last 3 6
months (Malnutrition Task Force, 2013, p.7).
One suggested cause of malnutrition is financial limitations, as not all families can afford
nutritionally rich, balanced diets. The National Children s Home (NCH) Poverty and
Nutrition Survey 1991 found that two thirds of children and more than ВЅ of the parents
(of families attending NCH Family Centres) were eating nutritionally inadequate diets
(Leather, 1996, p.20). From A Placement observation of a paediatric outpatient clinic, it is

Gulliver s Travels, a satire by Jonathan Swift, highlights various aspects of English
society, of its time period, through Gulliver s voyages and exposure to different
cultures. On the surface, this satire is simply a fairy tale, but with observation, Swift s
satirical comments can be easily identified and related to his society and even today s
American; such comments are criticizing aspects of society. These aspects include the
struggle between those in powerful versus common man, corruption, and the true
inner of honorable people One topic that this piece focuses on is the struggle between
empowered men and unfortunate men. Gulliver arrives onto the floating island of
Laputa which is filled with strange people who fail to make practical use of their
knowledge. These people do have a king and Gulliver soon discovers that he is a
tyrant. Below the island, is a region known as Balnibarbi which is in total control by the
king. As a matter of fact, the king punishes any town in the region for their disobedience
using two methods. If any town should engage in rebellion or mutiny, fall into violent
factions, or refuse to pay the usual tribute, the king has two methods of reducing them to
obedience (Swift #). These punishments include covering the town from above, or, in
extreme cases, dropping the island on the town itself. The first and the mildest course is,
by keeping the island hovering over such a town, and the lands about it, whereby he can
deprive them of the benefit

Aesthetics is the branch of philosophy that deals with the principles of beauty and
artistic taste. In other words, both sides of things like the Beauty and the Ugly. Aesth

Emotion. Aesthetics is broken up to a lot of things. In the following essay, we will be
focusing and discussing the Theory of mind, and Sensation. The theory of mind starts
with Descartes Dualism. Descartes was a man that believed that the body and the soul
are different kinds of things. He called these substances. The body is a material
substance, meaning it is not only physical, but it is also the matter in which something
is made. On the other hand, the soul is an immaterial substance, meaning it is something
spiritual. A person has the combination of both of these things which help create the
Mind Body Dualism. The Mind Body Dualism is a way to solve a problem between the
two different kinds of facts: the physical facts of a person like there features such as
parts of their body and mental facts such as what they believe in. The body has physical
facts while the mind has mental facts. Descartes wanted to prove this by imagining the
body without the mind, and the mind without the body. He said if the two things can
survive without one or the other, then they are not the same. This concludes that the body
and mind are two completely different things. This is called the Conceivability argument
for dualism. This helped

A critical analysis of the Theory of Endosymbiosis and it s supporting evidence
Abstract
Introduction
The endosymbiotic theory is an evolutionary theory explaining the origin of Eukaryotic
cells from Prokaryotic, and is at present; the most widely accepted evolutionary theory of
the Eukaryotic cell. The theory explains the origins of mitochondria and chloroplasts and
their double membranes, suggesting that chloroplasts and mitochondria represent
formerly free living bacteria that were taken into a cell as an endosymbiont. Molecular
evidence suggests that mitochondria developed from proteobacteria and chloroplasts
from cyanobacteria. It is thought that the Prokaryotes may have entered the host cell as a
parasite or source of nutrient for the host, however avoided digestion. The primitive
chloroplast may have provided the host cell with crucial nutrients, and the primitive
mitochondrion may have aided the exploitation of oxygen for the extraction of energy. In
return the host cell offered a protected environment for the Prokaryotes to live in. This
was the beginning of a symbiotic relationship between the primitive chloroplast and
mitochondria, and the Eukaryotic cell.
The theory was ridiculed for years due its controversial nature, however in 1967 Lynn
Margulis, a biologist from Boston University, developed the modern Serial
Endosymbiosis Theory.
Primary Endosymbiosis vs. Secondary Endosymbiosis
Primary endosymbiosis involves the engulfment of a bacterium by another

debut on Super Nintendo released in the 1990 s. When it was released on the Super
Nintendo it was meant to compete with Street Fighter by going after their fan base
(Duncan, 2013). This game has its own fighting combination system and character roster
that makes it difficult to play while separating itself from the competition.
Statement of Credibility: I have played both the original and the new release of Killer
Instinct and learned the basic mechanics of the game myself. I have done further research
on the history of game to inform myself about Killer Instinct and how it evolved.

18. How Did Nero Influence Rome
Emperor Nero was the most detrimental emperor to Rome. He burned Rome so he
could build Rome as he imagined it, he blamed the fire on the Christians, and he
persecuted the Christians. Those are the acts that have been proven to be done by him
that have affected Rome the most. He has also done some despicable things to become
and stay emperor. Emperor Neroruled Rome from 54 AD to 68 AD. He was originally
named Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus, but his name was changed to Nero in 49 AD
when Lucius s mother Agrippina married Emperor Claudius. Historians have read that
Nero s fate was inevitable. His real father, Gnaeus Domitius, who died when Nero was
three, was extremely violent. It is written that Gnaeus once deliberately ran over a
young boy with his chariot as he drove through a local village. When his friends
congratulated him upon hearing of the birth of his son, Nero s father said that anything
born to Agrippina and him would be unlikeable and a disaster. Because of these traits in
Nero s father, the people knew that hardly any good could come out of it. The people of
Rome were right.
One of the most despicable manifestations of human flesh ever to disgrace this planet
was Nero Claudius Caesar. Born in A.D. 37, Nero was educated at the feet of the
philosopher Seneca (whom he eventually forced to commit suicide). Nero murdered his
way to the imperial throne, which he occupied from A.D. 54 68. His life was

understanding what my role should be in the community. Being an AU Eagle also means
taking action; as a potential student, I am eager to learn how to effectively instigate
change by immersing myself in an environment that values learningthrough service. I am
personally interested in helping to minimize the educationgap in underserved
communities. At AU, I could further my own awareness of how to help under resourced
communities in a socially conscious manner.
I participate in a tutoring program for elementary students in Dorchester, an underserved
community in Boston. Working with the children has helped me eliminate preconceived
ideas that led me to believe schools were bad because the parents did not pay enough
attention to their children s educations. I now realize that the problems in education have
more to do with the amount of funding that goes into certain schools. Ignorance and
distance from reality caused me to believe that struggling neighborhoods inherently
produce bad students. I now understand that the problems within the school do not reflect
the students abilities.

A large part of my club is about fundraising; some of the money we raise goes to the
school itself, for them to spend as they like, while the rest of it is spent on a bus to take
us to the underprivileged school. This problem is consistent across a lot of community
service where more money is spent on transporting the privileged to underprivileged
places. Recognition of a problem is often the first step in solving it. I want to continue my
education with the intent to understand harmful patterns such as this one and learn from
examining the past in order to decipher the

Data Structure queues methods and abstract data types are included in this elementary
slot. ( 2, 3, 4, 5,6, 7)
Robert s defined abstract data type as the algorithms operations that are preformed rather
than implemented the data structure and algorithms operating on it should refer to
anything inside, except through function and procedure calls for the fundamental
operations. The main reason for the development of abstract data types has been as a
mechanism for organizing large programs. Abstract data types provide a way to limit the
size and complexity of the interface between (potentially complicated) algorithms and
associated data structures and a potentially large number of programs that use the
algorithms and data structures, making it easier to understand large program and more
convenient to change or improve the fundamental algorithms .(2:pg30)
Arrays and linked list are refinements of a basic abstract data type called the linear list,
because each can support operations such as insert, delete and access on a basic
sequentially data ordered structure. These operation suffice to describe the algorithms
and the linear list abstraction can be useful in the initial states of algorithms development.

22. The Pros And Cons Of Community Health Grants
Grants have a great value in providing dental care in community health centers
particularly dental clinics that represent a large public investment to address the dental
health needs of a diverse underserved rural and urban communities, and uninsured
populations. The grants that fund community health centers play a critical role in
financial support to provide dental services for patients in Medicaid non expansion states
who are more likely to be uninsured. Grant funding enables community health centers to
provide services not covered by most programs, such as adult dental care, transportation,
translation services, and use sliding fees for privately insured patients who cannot afford
their deductibles and cost sharing (Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, 2017). The Pros
and Cons of Receiving a Grant... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The pros of receiving federal or state grants and some private charitable foundation
include providing free technical assistance. The federal grants encompass large funds that
can support the mission of the CHC with access to a large network of multiple partners,
resources and guidance (Stombaugh, 2016). The cons of receiving grants include; the
complexity of the grant applications especially the federal types when compared to
private foundations due to red tape. The drawback of grant funding is increased oversight
and monitoring of how funds are spent and whether results achieved matched those
promises (Stombaugh, 2016). Although private organization, community foundations
provide smaller grants; they may have simplicity in process of grant applications for
eligible applicants and they may provide technical assistance through hotline and
23. Kant Theory and Justice
Immanuel Kant concerns himself with deontology, and as a deontologist, he believes that
the rightness of an action depends in part on things other than the goodness of its
consequences, and so, actions should be judged based on an intrinsic moral law that says
whether the action is right or wrong period. Kant introduced the Categorical Imperative
which is the central philosophy of his theory of morality, and an understandable approach
to this moral law. It is divided into three formulations. The first formulation of Kant s
Categorical Imperative states that one should always act in such a way that the maxim
of your action can be willed as a universal law of humanity ; an act is either right or
wrong based on its ability to be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The action so far seems good, but we must test its universality. Can we imagine
ourselves living in a world in which all societies seek to aid the underprivileged and
the disadvantaged at the slight expense of others? Absolutely yes. It is important for
one to bear in mind, however, that it is the very action of helping that is being judged
as inherently good or bad, and not the action s admirable or overbearing surrounding
consequences. Secondly, we must test that the action is regarding everyone involved as
ends and not as means to any particular purpose. Since the aim of affirmative action is to
help the current predicaments of those people who were victimized in the past, focus is
placed on respecting every individual s autonomy. In this way, we can see that affirmative
action is not a devious plan that seeks to manipulate, but one that seeks to compensate by
adjusting the means (circumstances) and not the ends (individuals). Lastly, we must see
if the action is establishing a universal law governing others in similar situations; one
should behave as if one is the absolute moral authority of the universe. Is completing this
action consistent with the application of moral law? If so, the affirmative action passes
these three tests and the action is good.
In his Objections to Affirmative Action , James Sterba talks about why he believes that
Affirmative Action is morally wrong. He argues that a person s race shouldn t control his
or her point of interest. Sterba
24. English Language Learners For My Assessment
Profile
The intended English language learners for my assessment would be primary aged
students who are at the beginning level, according to WIDA. Primary aged students are
students in kindergarten through grade 2, and WIDA describes students as beginning if
they (a) understand and speak conversational and academic English with hesitancy and
difficulty, (b) understand parts of lessons and simple directions, and (c) are at a pre
emergent or emergent level of reading and writing in English, significantly below grade
level. (http://ell.dpi.wi.gov/sites/default/files/imce/ell/pdf/elp levels.pdf). Although my
students would be young, they could be classified as significantly below grade level if
they cannot identify letters and perform poorly on the kindergarten screening and
running records. Most ELL students at this age are not literate in their native language,
which may make learning English literacy more difficult.
Rationale
The test I designed I could currently use with some of the students in my classes. I teach
kindergarten and first grade English Language Arts and Social Studies and we have a
moderate number of immigrant students whose parents do not speak English. Although
we do not have an ESL program, our bilingual program draws many native Spanish
speaking students to our school because their families want them to maintain their
Spanish. We also have immigrant students from other countries, such as Middle Eastern
and African countries. This exam covers some of

Why Do 2004 FBC and Newer Roof Decks Comply and not the 2001 FBC?

So based on R301.2.1.1 we look to the 2004 Florida Building Code Building for our
nailing pattern. For wind speeds greater than 100 mph we have to look at the 2004
Florida Building Code Building, and within Table 2304.9.1 for wind speeds great that
100 mph the nailing pattern is 6 inches along the edges and 6 inches within the field and
4 inches along the edge strip. This nailing pattern is deemed to comply with current
Florida Building Code requirements.
Therefore, Single family residential structures permitted under the 2004 Florida Building

generation but also what our modern day America stands for. At first glance, American

something we, the new Americanas do! Yes, we smoke marijuana! Yes, there are black
moms who have children with white dads (vice versa)! Yes, there are men marrying
other men and women marrying other women! Does this makes our generation messed

our media contains drugs and sex, doesn t mean that s what your everyday common
teenager is concerned with. There are many young adults, who don t condone drinking,

Just as with any system that has to be maintained, inspection is a big part. Before you
can fix anything that broken in a system, you have to find the failure first. Same goes
for bridges. In order for bridges to maintained and kept safe, routine bridge inspections
have to be performed, and any problems that make the bridge unsafe have to be fixed.
Bridge maintenance activities generally involve coatings and coating removals, repairing
cracked or spalled concrete, damaged steel beams, damaged expansion joints, and bent or
damaged railings.
There are different ways of maintaining bridges. It can be done in the form of repair
maintenance that occur after some failure occurs on the bridge such as a damaged beam
or a cracked deck. It can also be done in the form of preventive maintenance.
Preventative bridge maintenance ensures that minor bridge repairs can be performed on
the bridge structures before the specific structure fails. Preventive maintenance also
ensures that large scale costly repairs are avoided and the structure is safe for use. It also
has less impact on the
28. Greenhouse Gas Pollution
In the United States, the two largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions are
transportation and electricity. Although limiting the emissions from electricity will be
important in the future, transportation would be much easier to fix now. Greenhouse
gases such as methane, carbon dioxide, water vapor and nitrous oxide not only pollute
the air we breathe, but they also store energy that could be causing climate change. These
molecules trap heat from leaving our atmosphere which is believed to cause the earths
increase in heat. Most Americans see climate change to be an issue that should be acted
on, and since greenhouse gases could be causing climate change the emissions of these
gases need to be limited. Recent studies show that transportation produces nearly 27% of
greenhouse gases in the United States(Sources of Greenhouse GasEmissions, 2017). In
addition, the leading producer within the transportation category is light duty vehicles.
Many people say that airplanes and ships are to blame for the majority of greenhouse
gas production in transportation, but the majority of the pollution actually comes from
the cars Americans drive every day (Fast Facts on Transportation Greenhouse Gas
Emissions, 2015). The United States government needs to take charge and make changes
that will help limit the production of greenhouse gases. To fix these issues, the
government could limit the cars that citizens are allowed to own or change existing tax
laws to benefit drivers of fuel
29. The History of Cambridge University
The beautiful city of Cambridge has an enviable reputation as one of the world s
greatest universities as well as being an agreeable place to live and work. The
inhabitants enjoy low unemployment, a cluster of good schools and plenty of green
spacious parkland. The river Cam provides a focal point in the summer with its flotilla
of punts gliding around gentle bends overhung with lush willows. It is a city of two
vibrant communities, that despite a chequered past of friction and confrontation now
seem to co exist with ease. Both the students and locals go about their business, almost
independent of each other. Many scholars are completely unaware of the delights the
city has to offer away from the seclusion of their learned places and locals would be
hard pressed to tell you where any university building was apart from King s College
Chapel and maybe the University Library, with its huge soaring tower. Most central
colleges face inward to courtyards hidden behind castle like buildings, giving no clue to
the enclosed delights (that can include a lake with huge fish). Secret and enchanting
places only accessed by gatehouses guarded by porters keepers of the portcullis. Within
the city boundaries are a dense collection of architectural styles ranging from medieval,
Jacobean, classical and Victorian. This city is an architectural historians paradise where
examples of one style evolving into another are abundant. The relationship between the
colleges and the university is
30. Essay On Lord Krishna
Description
Lord Krishna is one of the most popular Gods in Hinduism. Krishna is considered the
supreme deity, worshipped across many traditions of Hinduism in a variety of different
perspectives. Krishna is recognized as the eighth incarnation (avatar) of Lord Vishnu, and
one and the same as Lord Vishnu, one of the trimurti and as the supreme god in his own
right. Krishna is the principal protagonist with Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita also known
as the Song of God, which depicts the conversation between the Royal Prince Arjuna
and Krishna during the great battle of Kureksetra 5000 years ago where Arjuna
discovers that Krishna is God and then comprehends his nature and will for him and for
mankind. In present age Krishna is one of the most widely revered and most popular of
all Indian divinities.
Each incarnation of Lord Vishnu on the Earth is with a purpose and to accomplish some
definite tasks. Lord Krishna came to the Earth to kill king Kansa and to relieve the
people of Braj from his torture and tyranny. Later Krishna participated in the events of the
Mahabharata and Lord Krishna s participation had profound effect on the Mahabharata
war and its consequences.

theological traditions. They portray him ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

31. The Discrete Event System
In the Discrete Event Systems (DES) literature, deadlock avoidance for sequential,
complex resource allocation sys tems (RAS) is a well established problem that arises
from many contemporary technological applications [1], [2]. In its basic positioning, this
problem concerns the coordinated allocation of the system resources to concurrently
executing processes so that every process can eventually proceed to its completion. In
particular, by utilizing the information about the current allocation of the system
resources and the available knowledge about the structure of the executing processes, the
applied control policy avoids the visitation of RAS states from which deadlockis
inevitable.
The work presented in this paper is an extension and an application of the symbolic
framework that has recently been proposed in [3], [4] for the computationally efficient
de velopment of the maximally permissive deadlock avoidance policy (DAP) for
various classes of RAS. More specifically, by modeling any given RAS instance in the
modeling frame work of the extended finite automata (EFA), the approaches

32. Compare And Contrast Modern Culture In Beowulf
Beowulf was written in the 6th century in Scandinavia by an Unknown author. Although,
written many years before our time presents quite a few ancient cultures that are applied
to modern society. Beowulf being a great piece of Old English poems during an Anglo
Saxon era are no different to modern cultures. In Beowulfyou ll notice a great amount of
drinking, entertainment, reputation through violence, and the society s loyal relationship
with their leaders. The 6th centuries such as Beowulf share very similar cultures or habits
to modern society. The first noticeable similarity in Beowulf is drinking. King Hrothgar
built a Heorotto accommodate many guests to all sorts of events whether it be
welcoming a new guest or in celebration of victories are always accompanied by
drinking alcohol of some sort. The Heorot is basically a grand bar to serve alcohol just
like in modern society we have many pubs or bars to accommodate people with their
celebrations. In Beowulf they are in the Heorot, just as much as modern society in pubs
or bars having a drink. Just as thousands of years ago, present in modern society we
celebrate birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, engagements, holidays, and
accomplishments with drinking. Entertainment thousands of years ago were enjoyed just
as much as in modern society. Beowulf there would be a scop, an Old Englishpoet, who
would sing and tell stories as a form of entertainment for those who gathered at the
Heorot. Modern society has highly
33. The Melting Pot Problem In The United States Today
It s now safe say that america is a melting pot(a place where different people, styles,
theories, etc., are mixed together). The united state is a place where different race and
people culture. But even though the u.s is a melting pot there are still many prejudice
and poor opinion about other races that may not always have the best opinion about
other races or their beliefs. this can be seen by the way people think about Muslims. By
the way people view the Muslimpeople with hatred remarks, or even hate crime that
even may lead to death. But people always feel like Muslims are the problems in the
united state today. In the history of the united state there always been hatred toward other
races and culture. This can be seen by
