Essay About Abortion
Crafting an essay on the subject of abortion is undeniably a challenging endeavor, as it requires
navigating a highly sensitive and controversial topic that elicits strong emotions and varied
perspectives. The complexity arises not only from the ethical and moral dimensions but also from
the legal, social, and medical aspects surrounding the issue.
Attempting to present a balanced and nuanced discussion demands a thorough understanding of
the historical context, cultural influences, and the evolving nature of the abortion debate.
Striking the right tone, one that is both empathetic and objective, becomes a delicate tightrope
walk, considering the deeply entrenched beliefs on either side of the argument.
Furthermore, researching and incorporating reliable data, statistics, and expert opinions is crucial
for substantiating arguments and providing a comprehensive overview of the multifaceted
aspects of abortion. It is essential to remain vigilant against bias and to approach the subject with
a commitment to intellectual integrity.
As the writer, one must be prepared to grapple with the moral implications of the topic and be
mindful of the potential impact on readers. Addressing the psychological and emotional aspects
of abortion requires a delicate touch, as the subject matter involves personal choices and
experiences that can evoke strong reactions.
In conclusion, composing an essay about abortion demands not only strong analytical and
research skills but also a heightened sensitivity to the diverse perspectives and deeply ingrained
beliefs associated with the topic. It is a task that requires careful consideration of language, tone,
and a commitment to presenting a thorough and well-reasoned exploration of the subject.
For those seeking assistance in navigating the intricacies of such topics, it's worth exploring

Happy Chang Short Story Essay
My initial reaction to this piece of literature was one of happiness. I love sports and
the mostly, the only stories I love to read have sports tied into them one way or
another. The fact that the setting took place at a baseball game was one that got me
interested into the story and grabbed my attention all the way through. With saying
this, I was really confused on how this storied played out. A jealous man that has had
a rough past umpiring a championship gamethat in the end he doesn t he finish
umping? Very confusing and hard to really know why the author set up and told the
story the way he did. When they first mentioned Lori Chang on page 7, I smiled
because of what they described her as. I thoughtof a very innocent girl that is... Show

Part II: Reaction after Class Discussion After the class discussion, I will have to
say that I like the story even more than a initially thought. Me liking the story more
is mainly due to me understanding the story better than I did the first time I read
it. I am just an average reader and the discussion really opened my eyes and made
me realize all of the things that I didn t pick up on or were confused about make
since and all tie in to the importance of the story. A big take away from the
discussion that I did not even think about while reading the story the first time was
the fact that it was a first person point of view and that we only get Jacks
perspective told us. This made me rethink the story in a way that questioned if all
the things Jack is saying is really the truth or is he just delusional. The question of
Why does Tim always side with Carl on calls that Jack made in which Carl argued
came up in class and it was discussed. I think with realizing that the story is from
Jacks perspective really exposes this question because Tim sided with Carl multiple
times in a situation that Lori Chang was supposedly throwing at their players heads
(6,11). Then I wondered why would Jack be trying to protect Lori Chang and luckily
this was also brought up in our discussion. Reading the story, the first time, I didn t
pay much attention to Jacks
My Experience In Poetry
A few years ago, I found myself at a local coffee shop for a poetry slam. It was
around the same time that I was trying to come to terms with life without my
grandmother. She had been in the hospital for quite a long time, and I was
surprised I found even a moment to show up to the poetry slam between my
regular visits to the hospital, school, and other commitments. Nevertheless, I still
found myself before the coffee shop entrance. The aroma and warmth from the
inside were compelling, but I still hesitated. I had on a sweater and a jacket, but
they were not quite enough. I shivered as I nervously entered to shop, my poem
clinched in the numbness of my hand. I had prepared a poem as a final goodbye to
my grandmother, but I felt like I needed it to be recited for practice before I read it
to her. Part of me still hoped that I would not have to read it to her at all. I found
the nearest empty seat and waited anxiously for my turn to read my poem. When
my name was called my heart falls to the floor, the paper in my hand quivered
loudly, and the room was quiet enough to hear it. I paced toward the stage and
introduced myself and the title of the poem once I got there. Then I began to read.
At first I spoke with your basic monotonic I m frightened style of presentation, but I
choke up. I have to pause for a second because there s no way I could continue
without crying out every word on the page. I began to almost scream the words: Ask
someone how they feel about death,
Children Living Apart from Families in Totalitarian
Societies
In many real life and fictionalized totalitarian societies, children live apart from their
families. Why would dictatorial leaders enforce this living arrangement? In the book
Anthem, the children are living in a totalitarian society. This society is usually run by
a dictator and there is very little or no freedom. In totalitarianism, the governmentor in
this case the councils control almost every aspect of life. There is no free speech
or freedom of the press; certain religions or ideas may be banned. We are one in all
and all in one. There are no men but only the great WE, One, indivisible and
forever. This plays a great part in the book because we is what the people refer to as
themselves. Everyone is equal to each other and there is no I . The councils in
Anthem believe that no brother should ever rise above one another. No brother
should outsmart the other.
Knowledge is a powerful thing. In totalitarian societies children are taken away
from their parents at very young ages, so they learn all the same things. All of the
student s knowledge is kept at the same level. All the children know is only what the
government teaches them. It was not that the learning was too hard for us. It was
that the learning was too easy. It is not good to be different from our brothers, but is
evil to be superior to them. This evidence from the book Anthem shows us that it is
not a good thing to be smarter than the other student s. It is a sin. Dictators who want

Shades Of Grey
Fifty Shades of Grey was undoubtedly one of the most anticipated movies of 2015.
When the movie was finally released, audiences all over the world were
overwhelmed and they flocked cinemas that showed it to watch it. Although, it
was banned in some countries, this did not stop it from having massive impact
when it came to the soundtracks from the movie. The most outstanding song was
Earned it by The Weeknd. Now, this song has an enormously great remix by one of
our generation s greatest sex symbols, Trey Songz. I prefer to call this one, Fifty
Shades of Trey, I think it has a creatively nice ring to it. Trey Songz has some of my

You must have unmovable faith in your voice and its ability to pull off such a
recreation. Anything short of as good as his or better will have you judged in the
most embarrassing ways ever. The Weeknd has one of the most unique and
impossible to beat vocals in the industry. But this is not a challenge to Trey, he
steps up to it and he takes the challenge and he conquers. Every bit of this song is
as captivating as the original. Some will even be inclined to say that it s even
better. Personally I think they are both incredible and picking a favorite is
impossible. Trey Songz brings the exceptional factors about his vocals and he lets
them take the lead on this one. Where the pitch must be high, it is perfectly
elevated, when it must be calm, he contains it and everything is beautiful. There is
a playful and teasing element whenever Trey sings about making love and sex and
you will feel it on Earned it (remix). Trey Songz sure knows how to get his ladies
worked up. He knows how to find a way to their hearts and to their other places.
Earned it (remix) I can predict has found and is still finding its way to a massive
number of bedroom playlists. Trey Songz has that
Essay about Wage Compression and Symbolic
Egalitarianism
An organisations internal pay structure can affect the way employees perform to the
business strategy. Where a workers performance not only depends on the level of
pay they receive (Solow, 1979, in Alexopoulos Cohen, 2003), but also takes into
consideration their pay compared to workers above and below them, those within the
same occupational group, and the external labour market (Akerlof and Yellen, 1990).
Pfeffer (2005) argues that wage compression, which is the act of reducing the size of
the pay differences among employees, improves productivity. To gain competitive
advantage, organisations need to acknowledge not only hierarchical wage
compression (between management and employees) but also the differences between
individuals at... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is also a range of returns employees can receive; the psychological relational
returns (learning opportunities, employment security), and total compensation returns
which are transactional (benefits such as work/life balance, allowances, as well as
cash compensation and bonuses) (Milkovich, Newman, Gerhart, 2011).
However, the validity of Pfeffers argument is contestable. Although compressing the
pay structure supports fairness and equality, there is also the problem of creating the
opposite outcome. When wage differentials are eliminated, it may not be perceived
as fair and create a negative effect on effort and motivation (Kraft, 1994). A Swedish
study demonstrates this negative effect, whereby the higher paid workers morale
and effort subsided leading to lower outputs as they did not feel valued for their
skills (Hibbs and Locking, 2000, in Alexopoulos Cohen, 2003). Therefore, wage
differentials aid in distinguishing between workers abilities and responsibilities to
organisational performance (Beaumont Harris, 2003). Theorists have thus developed
a counter argument, that it is in fact wage dispersion that leads to increased effort and
performance (Lallemand, Plasman, Rycx, 2004). Instead of emphasising co
operation, Lazear and Rosen s (1981) tournament theory highlights the need to
differentiate pay, as larger variations are more motivating than smaller or equal
differences.
The Prevalence Of Pressure Ulcers
The prevalence of pressure ulcers in elderly patients is of an epidemic proportion
(Bansal, Scott, Stewart, Cockerell, 2005). The annual cost of treating pressure
ulcers in the United States (U.S.) is estimated at more than $20 billion and is
increasing (Jones, 2013). Pressure ulcers occur when an injury is caused to the
skin and underlying tissue at the pressure points resulting in transient or
permanent damage to the underlying tissue (Margolis, 1995). The prevalence is
seen in patients who are immobile because of chronic health conditions or lying on
hard surfaces for prolonged periods (Pham et al., 2011). A pressure ulcer can be
disruptive and disabling to frail elderly patients (Landi, Onder, Russo Bernabei,
2007). A pressure ulcer can also result in complications, which can lead to mortality
(Nigel Chow, 2002; Gary, Berlowitz Paul, 2001). Development of pressure ulcers is
no longer limited to acute or sub acute facilities alone. As the population is aging,
more elderly are receiving heath care in their homes (Ablaza Fisher, 1998). As a
result, all stages of pressure ulcers are also seen in the homes (Park Lee Caffrey,
2009). However, there are limited studies that show the magnitude of the problem
when compared to acute, sub acute, and nursing homes (Asimus Li, 2011). This
project will conduct a retrospective chart review at a community based primary care
provider to determine the prevalence of pressure ulcers among elderly individuals

What Is Anime In America
The Sophistication of Anime In America
Japanese animation, called anime for short, landed its first major hit in America with
an animation called Astro Boy. This animation was black and white and was created
just like any other animated film would have been at that time, hand drawn and taken
frame by frame. Now however, current anime has surpassed its predecessors and is
full of colorful characters and backgrounds that are appealing to the eye. Anime has
also grown beyond targeting children and is now more targeted towards viewers
with double digit ages and triple digit IQ s or young and old adults, as stated by
Patrick Drazen, author of the book Anime Explosion!: The What? Why? Wow! Of
Japanese Animation. Even so, people still consider ... Show more content on

Acting as a base manga paves a way for anime to flourish into society and also acts
as a guide for an anime s storyline. However, anime doesn t just depend on manga;
manga also depends on anime. Patrick Drazen, author of the book Anime
Explosion! agrees with Chambers on the fact that many Japanese anime begin life
as comic books, and even goes on to say, This has several advantages, including the
goodwill and familiarity of an audience that already knows and cares about the
characters. It also enables the viewer who is familiar with the manga story to fill
in the blanks as they see the counterpart anime (Drazen). Chambers also approaches
anime as a completely different subject addressing how anime and manga are two
completely different art forms. This view can be true with new technologies
emerging around the world, and the method of making hand drawn anime being
replaced by other methods such as CG (computer graphics). An article written by
The Associated Press details small interviews with people in Anaheim s Anime
Expo, which is considered the largest convention of anime and manga in American.
Here, Oliver, an anime director from Los Angeles, states that, CG is becoming
increasingly less expensive to do, and mass produce (The Associated Press). Also
taking a stance on the difference between anime and manga The Associated Press
addresses how unlike hand drawn anime, CG features ultra realistic, fluid movements
and seamless shadows and light. With new methods replacing the old it is very
viable to say that anime has deviated a small portion from its original hand drawing
method. In fact, this deviation is enhancing the features of new anime and, is creating
a more realistic and sophisticated animation

Not only innovation lead to change inside organizations, but also some changes in
side organizations can lead to innovation. Moreover, managing innovation and change
is not an absolute easy process as it seems, as it requires lots of human interaction
with different backgrounds, contexts, cultures that require aligning all your human
resources to respond to new innovations, and related changes and this will only be
done via good and efficient leadership. Generally, innovations and related changes
may include change in organization structure workforce planning, marketing strategy,
geographical distribution , culture, ...ect which directly impact human resources in
any organization , therefore the role of the leader is so crucial to manage tensions,
conflicts, resistances, uneasiness and development areas that usually appear with
new changes and innovations. Leading Innovation and change being part of

Space Debris Essay
Space debris
Space debris is collection of waste objects in space and encompasses both natural
(meteoroids) and artificial particles. The artificial objects and particles in orbit
around Earth are referred as orbital debris. They are objects which no longer serve a
useful function and include non functional spacecraft, abandoned launch vehicle
stages, mission related debris, fragmentation debris, old satellites etc. These objects
travel at speeds over 22,000 miles an hour (35,000 kilometres an hour). At such high
velocity, even small junk can rip holes in a spacecraft or disable a satellite by causing
electrical shorts that result from clouds of superheated gas. For most size regimes,
the flux of orbital debris within 2000 km of the Earth s surface already exceeds the
flux of meteoroids.
Figure computer illustration of density of space debris in low earth orbit
As of 2009, about 19,000 pieces of debris larger than 5 cm (2.0 in) are tracked with
another 300,000 pieces smaller than 1 cm below 200 km altitude. Space debris
smaller than 1 cm (0.39 in), include dust from solid rocket motors, surface
degradation products such as paint flakes, and coolant. Impacts of these particles
cause erosive damage. The damage can be reduced using proper shield but all the

Bianca Williams All Men Are Created Equal
Perhaps this mentality can be true to some extent, but it cannot be denied that we
will be going against the significance and interpretation of the phrase, All men are
created equal. Anyone regardless of race, who steps onto the soil of America has the
right to pursue everything and anything they want and should not be excluded from
any rights or opportunities. As Bianca Williams states, It is my hope that you are
here to build community and repair the fractures that those before us created, and
that we sometimes perpetuate (4). Williams drives us forward to break down or
deconstruct the negative systems and thoughts we have built over the years. The way
to go about is first, our nation needs to go back to the beginning of recognizing that
Diversity in the Galapagos Islands
If not for Charles Darwin, shown on the right, the world might not see the
Galapagos Islands how we do today. The islands hold exotic and extraordinary plants
and animals. Of these animals, some are going extinct or have already gone extinct.
There are many varieties of natural and introduced plant life. Charles Darwinwas born
February 12, 1809 in Shrewsbury, England. He sailed on the HMS Beagle in 1831.
He knew he was going to the Galapagos, but he didn t know that he would discover
the theory of evolution. The plants on the Galapagos Island are very tropical and
numerous in varietes. According to the Galapagos Conservancy there are about six
hundred and forty native species of of plants on the Galapagos Islands. There are
about eight hundred and twenty five introducer species. One hundred of the
introduced species have become established in the wild. There are three major
zones that the plants live in ; the coastal zone, the arid zone, and the highlands zone.
In the coastal zone mangrove trees are very common and have an important role for
bird breeding sites. The arid zone is very dry and has adapted to the drought
conditions. Some of these plants that have adapted to the drought conditions are the
succulent cacti and the leafless shrub, which only grows leaves in the rainy season.
The humid zones are lush and green. There are mosses and epiphytes growing on
trees for support. Some animals like the Galapagos penguin, shown on the right have

I got up, knowing I wouldn t be able to get back to sleep. I turn on the shower and

After I finish applying my makeup, I pause to look up into the mirror. Soft black

Dog Grooming Essay
Be prepared
All dogs need grooming, but some dogs need more grooming than others.
Baxter s owners did not realize that their dog should be combed frequently and
completely to prevent kinks and knots caused by intertwining of hairs or by dirt, grit,
or vegetative matter in the coat. Mats can pull tender skin and cause pain and lead to
hot spots or wounds to irritated skin and eventual infection, general skin outbreaks, or
fungus or insect invasion.
Shaving may be the only solution for felted mats, but it must be done carefully to
avoid nicking the dog or further irritating already inflamed skin.

Before bathing, clear any mats or tangles from Ginger s coat.
Teach her to stand in the tub, then add warm or tepid water.
Soak her to the skin, lather, then rinse thoroughly to prevent dull, sticky coat and dry
skin.
Take care to keep water and soap out of her eyes and ears and clean her face and the
insides of her ears with a sponge or washcloth.
Daily examination
Even if Ginger doesn t need daily grooming, check her thoroughly to make sure she
has no cuts, sores, fleas, rashes, bumps, ticks, or hitchhikers in her coat or dirt in
her ears. Remove fleas with a fine toothed comb and drop them into a container of
soapy water. Remove embedded ticks with tweezers or protected fingers and drop
them in a vial of alcohol. (Grasp the tick body, rock it back and forth, then pull
firmly.) Carefully remove vegetative matter such as grass awns, seed casings, or
thorny twigs with fingers or comb.
During this daily exam, check Ginger s feet and ears, look at her teeth, and feel for
cuts or tumors.
Shedding
Dog hair grows and dies just as human hair does. Some dogs В— particularly hard
coated terriers and Poodles В— hang on to their dead hair, thus requiring special
grooming to remove it. Other dogs give it up quite readily, all over the house.
Double coated dogs generally drop their soft undercoats twice a year and lose their
guard hairs once a year, although some individual dogs might shed constantly
What Are The Stereotypes In To Kill A Mockingbird
The stereotype, that heritage defines education, wellbeing, and personal character,
portrays itself in a non loving manner in many situations. Defining racism specifically
proves itself difficult, but according to definition, Racism is a belief that race is the
primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences
produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. Harper Lee writes a relatable
depiction of this belief in To Kill A Mockingbird
. Racismis an underlying topic that
appears throughout the book showing itself in the relationship between Aunt
Alexandria and Calpurnia, the hatred shown towards Tom Robinson, and also the
discrimination shown to Helen Robinson. Jesus says in Mark 12:31b, Love your
neighbor as yourself. If the world stood on this commandment and portrayed the

sway her. Tom Robinson stayed a good man at heart and demonstrated courage
amongst the hatred of the court and even the fellow neighbors in Maycomb. Helen
Robinson stayed respectful and brave midst the judgement of her skin color from
Mr. Ewell and others. Sadly, these examples of racism in To Kill A Mockingbird are
also illustrations of what goes on in the present day. Let the nations rise up, love

What Is Billy Madison s Personality
The character, Billy Madison from the film of the same name is often accused of
being immature, rude, and downright stupid. But why does he demonstrate these
characteristics? Billy Madison s character can be explained using the psychological
theories of Sigmund Freud, Abraham Maslow, and Karen Horney. By analysing
Madison from the perspectives of these psychologists, it will become clear why he is
callous, self destructive, and why he even goes back to school in the first place.
Sigmund Freud theorized that an individual s personality is driven by the id which
drives behaviour through impulses, the ego which determines behaviour through
logic, and the superego which encourages socially acceptable behaviour. Freud

His father planned to have Eric, an employee of the hotel chain, to take over the

like the perfect life and accept it in a heartbeat. Madison However does not accept
this and comes up with a plan to go back to school to prove he is suitable to take
over the company. The reason Madison decides to go back to school can be
explained using Abraham Maslow s hierarchy of needs. He theorizes that the basic
needs must be fulfilled before higher order needs become important. Madison has
already fulfilled his physiological needs, his need for safety and security, and his
need for love and belonging. Now he must fulfil his need for self esteem. This

Community Service At Northview Church
Community Service is not strange to me because I have been doing community
service at Northview Church since the beginning of my sophomore year in high
school. When I saw the assignment that I have to complete 4 hours of community
services, I knew that Northview church was my first choice. Northview church
was found by Tommy Paino in October 1980. There were only 30 people in the
cafeteria of Carmel Elementary School where they formed the church which later
become Northview Church. Three years later, in the month of July, 1983. 285
people attended the last service at Carmel Elementary School, then they moved to
the church s new place which is located at 131st and Gray Road. In the late 1985,
the church bought an 81 acre of land located at the highest point in Hamilton County
on the southwest west corner of Main Street in the city of Carmel. This is the place
the church is currently located at ( Northview Church History ). Throughout my
service, I learned that the church s mission is to connect people with God and
connect people with people. They value relationships, spiritual growth, and the ability
to reach out to those who are far from God.
During my four hours of community service, I did many things such as mowing grass,
throw wastes into the dumpster by driving a tractor, and clean the sidewalk by using
a wind blower. To other people, it may seem like that there are just light duty work,
but to me every work done will make the community look better no matter how light

What Is The Relationship In The Diary Of Anne Frank
Some parents love and cherish their children, but don t understand them. Most do
what they think is best for their kids, and aim to be admired by their children, but
Mr. Frank is different; he and Anne have a special bond that will last a lifetime. In
the play, The Diary of Anne Frank, by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, the
Franks, the Van Daans, and Mr. Dussel go into hiding during Holocaust because Jews
are being persecuted more and more in Germany. They are sent to concentration
camps to die, and are suffering other versions of torture. Mr. Frank is Anne s
father, the man in charge of the annex, and he is a leader and someone who always
looks out for others. Mr. Frank understands Anne is a teenage girl that need her
father the listen to her. First of all, Mr. Frank understands Anne because he grants
her a gift she desires, a diary. The diary is a major symbolism to display how much
Mr. Frank understands her: all she wants is a dairy to map and write down her
thought. For example, in the play, Mr. Frank announced Anne, There are no walls,
there are no bolts, no locks that anyone can put on your mind (379). Mr. Frank knows
Anne so well, that he perceived that she would go insane without talking or moving,
Anne couldn t even stop laughing at what she continued to writing in her diary....

Frank understands Anne because he gave her the pictures (movie stars). Even
though they could take so little into the annex Mr. Frank realized that Anne would
have a longing for her movie stars that he brought them. For instance, in the play,
Anne shrieking to Mr. Frank, Father! My movie stars! I was wondering where they
were! I was looking for them this morning...and Queen Wilhelmina! How wonderful!
(379). Mr. Frank and Anne absolutely have close of a bond because what father
would bring movie star into a hiding place just so his daughter could be comfortable.
Therefore, Mr. Frank understands Anne so well that he give her movie
Annie Lee Moss Appearance Before Mccarthy s Committee
Annie Lee Moss appearance before McCarthy s committee (1954) In addition to
limiting freedom of speech through the Espionage Act of 1917 and the Smith Act,
Congress continued on a witch hunt to remove all dissenters in any way they
could, often charging and prosecuting individuals based on circumstantial
evidence. This period, often referred to as the Second Red Scare, followed World
War II and came as the United States entered the Cold War, was a time of much
paranoia. One of the many cases during this period that showed how little evidence
was used against individuals to incriminate them was the case of Annie Lee Moss.
According to a F.B.I informant, Ms. Moss was a card carrying, dues paying
member of the Communist party and was brought to testify before McCarthy s
committee, for she was alleged to have examined and correct secret, encoded
oversee messages. (The McCarthy Years) As they began to question Moss, it
became clear that the evidence against her was only circumstantial. For starters,
the F.B.I informant had never seen Moss in person, but just knew her name
appeared in records kept by the communist party. This was clearly not enough to
convict someone of being a spy, especially since it was later said in testimony that
three others name Annie Lee Moss in the area. Second of all, she was said to have
connections with a white man by the name of Rob Halls, who was a well known
Communist, but the Rob Halls Moss knew was a colored man. This once again poked

Ideal Parenthood In The United States
Almost all parents can mention incidents of which they fall short on their
perspective on ideal parenthood. These feelings are common while in retrospection
they analyze a moment of frustration where they taught to be somehow abusive to
their own children. In many cases they were far from being abusive and their
children from being abused. Unfortunately that s not the case for so many parents,
care givers and children in the United States today. By definition there are many
different types of abuse that children might fall victims of. Some types of abuse
include verbal abuse, neglect, and physical abuse. Among the mentioned abusive
behaviors some children suffer a combination of two or more types of abuse. For
example children that are verbally... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is also a problem of ignorance or lack of health care. Some parents ignore the
danger that they exposed their children by not having them take their vaccinations
on time. For example, when a child is a few days old one vaccination that is
crucial is the pneumococcal vaccine. According to Dr. Katherine Poehling, an
assistant professor of pediatrics at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, states
that Children between the ages of two and 23 months of age need to get the
pneumococcal disease vaccine. They benefit tremendously from it, as do younger
infants and even their grandparents. This disease is cause by Streptococcus
pneumoniae bacteria. The bacteria can cause a variety of diseases, including ear
infections, pneumonia, meningitis and the blood infection bacteremia. The more
serious disorders, such as pneumonia, meningitis and bacteremia, are often referred
to as invasive pneumococcal disease. (2006). If parents do not take notice of this
serious disease, children who suffer disorders like pneumonia will have weak lungs,
and as a result they will always be absent from school or work. Also meningitis can
cause cognitive delays. Meningitis is an inflammation of the meninges (the
membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord). It is most often caused by a viral
or bacterial infection. Bacterial meningitis may lead to brain damage, learning
disabilities,
What Does Water Mean To You Essay
To someone I loved, My heart skips a beat, and my mind forgets to tell me to
breathe. My legs become paralyzed, and my mind becomes frozen. Can you tell
when I felt this way? As clichГ© as it may seem, that s how I felt when I saw you
during the earlier days of my growing crush. You took my breath away. I had no
words to describe what I saw. I hoped you were the only reason I would ever lose
my breath, but you weren t. Sometimes I can t breathe because I m exhausted from
all the work I ve done. Sometimes I can t breathe because I m holding my breath

I m being pushed under the water. I m unable to come up for a breath. So
sometimes it s not that I can t breathe. In some situations, it s that I am drowning.
While I ve learned how to swim, I m drowning in everything that is thrown on me.
The weights drag me down deeper into the water. The water becomes more murky

Technology In Dating
Dating is a form of interaction between 2 people who are interested in each other or
love each other to a great extent. In the olden days, men used go to the woman s
house and wait for her to come downstairs and then they would drive off to their
local diner just to have a fun night out together. In the present day, it s much more
different. Men and women meet on social media or datingsites like tinder, go on a
date decide to just go to a club in their separate cars, get drunk and dance the night
away. Technology has changed the world around us and it has changed the future of
dating forever by increasing the interactions between the people involved and by
mediums of social media websites, which have made it easier for people to

Tradition is the teaching and actions that our parents and their parents and so on,
were accustomed to during their time. Traditional values are something, which
won t go away from any society because it defines who we are and what we are
capable of. It is the constant value in the dating equation and the way we approach
dating or interact with our parents revolve around the core traditional ideas such as
eating out, mingling with people and taking romantic strolls with our loved ones.
Traditions evolve, but only to a certain extent. They have evolved because of the
advent of technology. We now communicate with text messages and voice notes,
instead of letters and telegrams. We decide our favorite dating spot by looking at
the images on Google, instead of seeing every single site by our own eyes. In the
article Online Dating: Growth and future challenges, the author tells us how the
teenagers use our phones to keep up with our loved ones instead of talking to them
physically. It is also written how common it has become to date someone as

Figurine Of A Woman Analysis

discussing the art of Figurine of a Woman, Young god, and funerary mask. I will also
reveal important parts from the videos, The Minoans: Ancient Civilization of Crete ,
Mycenae , and
The Minoans (Secrets of Archaeology). Figurine of a Woman, circa 2500 2300
BCE, was represented in the Cycladic art from Syros, Greece. It is made of marble,
eighteen inches high, and can be found in the National Archaeological Museum in
Athens. This artwork wraps their arms around their belly, is highly collectable, and
lacks contrast. A work like this is commonly known as a guardian in the afterlife and

This figure is important because it seems about to move as it is poised and has a

Mycenaean art from Mycenae, Greece. It is from Grave Circle A, is made of

be of a ferryman, which represents the afterlife. His beard is flattened and he
represents the burial good of gold. The Minoans: Ancient Civilization of Crete
reveals moving pictures of stairwell like architecture, hieroglyphics and pottery.
Mycenae expresses the power and wealth in 17th century BCE. It emphasizes the
importance of authority, gold, copper, tin, and the destruction from earthquakes and

eruption, half of the island was lost as was Atlantis. The history of the Minoans was
also told in that its beginnings began with Egyptian art. The equality of women and

What is Patent and Copyright Laws ?
In effort to save/protect the innovators and rewards them all the countries around the
world has some or other form of patent. Some places the law gives one the ability to
patent anything he/she wants or other have imposed a restriction what the innovation
means when we think or talk about the software program and the algorithm. To
reward the innovator the lawmakers has took a step further and added a term (time)
for which one can own the patent and different country has different regulations about
this.
To copyright and patent laws are really two different thing that cannot be mixed

with a particular work, usually a written work and it has to do with the details of

Six Hat Method Of Thinking Is Different From Argument
1. Explain how the Six Hat method of thinking is different from Argument . Also,
explain how it helps organizations to 1) explore a subject, 2) make decisions, and 3)
reduce the time taken for the project discussions.
There is a place for argument, and argument is a useful tool of thinking. But argument
is inadequate as the main tool of thinking. Argument lacks constructive energies,
design energies, and creative energies. Pointing out faults may lead to some
improvement but does not construct something new. Synthesizing both points of
view does not produce a stream of new alternatives.
Traditional argument is totally useless for such a design process. Instead, we need

Inflation in Russia
Introduction
Good day, dear friends. Actually, I considered the topic of the presentation for a long
time and finally I have chosen inflation in Russia. Inflation, as one of the main
macroeconomic issues, is a really urgent problem of today. In some countries the rate
of inflation is 5 %.while in others 15%. Today. we will discuss history and modern
peculiarities of the Russian inflation. So,here is the plan.
Definition
Inflation is a sustained increase in overall level of prices, as measured by some
broad index (such as Consumer Price Index) over months or years, and mirrored in
the correspondingly decreasing purchasing power of a currency. An increase in
inflation means an increase in prices. This affects whether or not a consumer is ...

Therefore local authorities wanted to keep that control, despite the failure of the
government to subsidize such regions.
Taking into account the fact that that the majority of enterprises were monopolists,
and market regulation systems in the country did not exist, the enterprises took
advantage of the situation to raise the prices of goods and services.(as we all know
that it is profit push inflation)
Reasons of inflation in Russia
Usually the causes of inflation are divided by the monetary and non monetary.
However, in our country, this division is very conditional, so at this stage it is better
to talk about specific assumptions of a price growth.
Usually experts name three main causes of inflation in Russia in recent years. First
rising costs of food in the world. Our country is imported from the border a lot of
food and raw materials. After the drought of 2010 the share of imports has increased
significantly.
The second reason the growth of budget expenditures, especially in the social sphere,
and monetary support for the economy. The government continues to pump its
money, that affect the growth of the money supply and as a result reduce the
purchasing power of the ruble.
The third cause of acceleration of inflation the growth of tariffs for state monopolies.
Especially electricity. Most state owned companies raise their prices for gas, for
energy, for tickets. And the government can not stop this
Trucking Compliance
Staying in complete compliance with all the federal regulations is an absolute
necessity for trucking companies, regardless of size. Failure to do so will result in
a variety of problems, including penalties, fines, and may even lead to the company
s privileges being revoked. The vast majority of trucking company professionals are
not compliance experts, however, and they often rely upon the services of a trucking
compliance company to ensure they re meeting the DOT rules and regulations.
Documentation and Recordkeeping Every aspect of a trucking company s operations
must be accurately documented, and the records kept in a safe, secure location. It s a
time consuming, and tedious task, yet it is imperative in the case of an audit, or
investigation due to an accident or other incident. Oftentimes, this is a difficult thing
for companies to accomplish, because they lack experience, have inadequate staff,
and are limited on time. A DOT compliance company, however, has all of the

Jackie O Working Girl And The Despair Of Jackie Kennedy
November 22, 1963. This is the date that Jacqueline (Jackie) Kennedy Onassis
forever lost her husband, John F. Kennedy (JFK). After this tragedy, also
remarrying and losing that husband as well, Jackie found fulfillment in becoming
a book editor shown in Jackie O, Working Girl (Lawrence). Not only does Jackie O,
Working Girl shows how Jackie became a book editor, it also tells women working
is not a bad thing. On the other hand, The Despair of Jackie Kennedy delves deep
into the details of her mourning over the death of her husband. Other than these
two articles talking about Jackie Kennedy, the only other similarity these articles
share is they both use some of the same rhetorical strategies: purpose, tone, and
audience selection. Although their methods in using purpose, tone, and guiding
an audience however is completely different. To begin, the purpose of the articles
Jackie O, Working Girl and The Despair of Jackie Kennedy is considerably
contrary. The purpose of Jackie O, Working Girl is not only to tell about how
Jackie became a book editor, it also shows women that it is okay to work even
when they do not need to. Jackie became a book editor not because she needed the
money, but because it was something for her to do (Lawrence). Jackie described in
an interview why she chose to work. Lawrence wrote that Jackie said, what has
been sad for many women of my generation is that they weren t supposed to work if
they had families. There they were, with the highest education, and what were they
to do when the children were grown watch the raindrops coming down the window
pane? Leave their fine minds unexercised? Of course, women should work if they
want to. You have to do something you enjoy. Women may not need to work, but
what else is there to do when everything has already been finished? The purpose of
The Despair of Jackie Kennedy is to inform people of the true events on how
Jackie dealt with her husband s assassination, and the toll it took on her. Jackie
couldn t stop obsessing over how she could have prevented JFK s assassination. She
would run the scenarios over and over again in her head if only she recognized the
sound of the first gunshot, if only she pulled him down into the car,
Analysis Of The Movie The Help Essay
The film The Help (2011), is a story based on the daily lives of prominent white
women and the relationships with their African American housemaids in Jackson,
Mississippi, during the 1960s Civil Rights movement in America. A well to do
white woman and central character in this film, Eugenia Skeeter Phelan, aspires to
be a journalist and decides to write and publish an exposГ© of the stories of the
housemaids in Jackson to achieve this goal, however, only two maids, Aibileen
Clark and Minny Jackson are willing to discuss their experiences with her. The
other maid s in Jackson resist telling Skeeter their stories, fearing the punishments
they would endure if the authorities were to find out. In spite of this, after the
malicious arrest of one of their befriended maids, all of the maids begin to share
their experiences, which consist of racial hostility and being treated as intrinsically
subservient to white people. The story Skeeter publishes entitled The Help, creates a
disturbance among the white families in Jackson, by exposing the racism the maids
are faced with, forcing the white families to reflect upon how they have treated their
maids. The storyline represented in The Help exhibits examples of the primordial
approach to race and ethnicity, as well as numerous sociological concepts including
segregation, internalized oppression, and white privilege, which will be exemplified
in this paper in order to uncover the race relations evident within this film. The term

Disadvantages Of Bariatric Surgery
In efforts to cut down weight, bariatric surgery presents a very effective and quite
easy alternative. Roux en Y gastric bypass (RYGB) and Sleeve Gastrectomy are two
of the most popular methods of bariatric surgery practiced in the US and around the
world. However, new findings show that these procedures have one major hazard that
should be noted with caution: a risk to developing alcoholism.
With an increasing number of people in the United States opting for sleeve
gastrectomy, researchers from the University of Illinois and Washington University
School of Medicine sort to find their effect on drug absorption after surgery. The
research aimed at finding the action of alcohol in a body which has undergone such a
procedure. This is also known as alcohol pharmacokinetics.
Marta Yanina Pepino, the lead researcher and an assistant professor in the
Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition, said that their findings indicated
that these bariatric surgeries speed up alcohol absorption into the body. Blood
alcohol levels were observed to reach very high levels and at a much higher rate than
would be expected in an individual who has not gone for surgery.
After having a sleeve gastrectomy, if a woman has a couple of drinks, she could
be exposing her brain to blood alcohol levels that are achieved in a woman without
surgery when she consumes four or five drinks, explained the lead author of the
research, M. Belen Acevedo. This can make the casual 2 glasses feel like 6 8
glasses. Such high alcohol content in the body has been associated with an increased
risk of developing alcohol related problems. If a patient is to indulge in frequent
drinking, they can easily fall victim to alcoholism.
Pepino explained further that it is crucial to know the pharmacokinetics of any drug.
This way, the extreme effects of the drug may be determined. The faster a drug is
absorbed, the higher the potential for addiction.
Although research on sleeve gastrectomy has been done before, Pepino says that
findings brought out don t concur with their findings. Out of the three earlier
published research, two did not find any change in blood alcohol levels. The other
one recorded that sleeve surgery causes a higher blood alcohol peak.
The Canadian Inuit And Animals For Supplies
For many of years animal activists have been trying to put a stop to all animal
hunting, abuse, using animals for supplies. The problem with doing this is that it
may effect a large amount of people who live off of these animals, in particularly
the seal. The Canadian Inuit is a large group of people about 46,000 people as an
estimation, that use seals as a multi source. The Canadian Inuit use the seal for a
source of cash through fur sales, they used the seal for meat, and once used seal for
oil lamps. In 1980 animal rightsactivists got their way and made it so that seal
hunting was no longer legal. This affected thousands of Canadian Inuit who lived in
small arctic hamlets who lived off of seal. The question is who is better off the
Canadian Inuit, or the animals rights activists? Peter Singer is a utilitarian a
philosopher who was much different from other utilitarians. The book Doing Ethics
states that Classic Utilitarianismsay that the right action is the one that produces the
best balance of happiness over unhappiness.(page 547) SInger s takes a different
approach. He thinks of including both animals and humans in the word or category
of Everyone The pain and pleasure of all sentient beings much be considered when
we are deciding which action maximizes the greater good.(page547) I believe that
Peter Singer would be one that has the possibility of being in favor of the ban on all
seal hunting even if it would devastate the Inuit, if they did not take pain

One of the ranking factors is how relevant can be your content which represents
your web page according to Google and Bing Page Rank functions. The basic
Search Engine techniques for the content, that can be HTML code. Most of the
web pages might not use an appropriate structure of HTML code [Extra 15], so
when a user search a query those web sites can not show as a results on Google.
Because the keywords can not occur in URL and meta tags, the web site is not a
result. It can be part of the results for specific keywords if the web site content has
the query s keywords. Furthermore, the editor of the web page has to add new
keywords or phrases on web page, for optimizing the web site position on search
engine results page. Additionally, mobile applications are tend to using for search, so
I will build a mobile application which provide keywords idea based on specific
Search Engine techniques and Information Retrieval algorithm.
1.1 Aim
The aim of this project is a mobile application that will be helpful for checking
Search Engine techniques (HTML code) and given new keywords ideas to add

Review of Accounting Ethics Essay
Review of Accounting Ethics
Establishing principles for ethical behavior frequently starts with a policy on ethics.
Businesses acquire a policy on ethics to guide their measures and to set up a general
meaning of correct versus incorrect. According to the American Library Association,
code of ethics is a handbook for suitable behavior (2012).
Given the corporate ethical breaches in recent times, assess whether or not you
believe that the current business and regulatory environment is more conducive to
ethical behavior. Provide support for your answer

Based on your research, describe the organization, the accounting ethical breach and
the impact to the organization related to ethical breach.
Best Buy Chairman and founder Richard Schulze exited Monday after directors
determined he used poor judgment for failing to disclose CEO Brian Dunn s personal
relationship with a young subordinate, a violation of company ethics that led to Dunn
s departure last month. In light of these revelations, Schulze acted inappropriately, by
failing to bring the matter to the company s audit committee. While Best Buy made it
clear that Dunn did not use the company s resources to facilitate his relationship with
the female employee, the internal probe found that Dunn s behavior showed
extremely poor judgment and a lack of professionalism.
Determine how the organizational ethical issue was detected and how management
failed to create an ethical environment.
In April, Dunn abruptly decided to call it quits as the Richfield, Minnesota based
company further investigated his relationship with the subordinate employee. The
internal probe was initiated by the firm s audit committee and completed by an
outside law firm. Dunn is expected to walk away with a severance package worth up
to $6.6 million from the embattled consumer electronics chain. There is still no word
on who will succeed him. Schulze said in a statement that when he questioned Dunn
about his actions, they were denied and now he accepts

Essay About Abortion

  • 1. Essay About Abortion Crafting an essay on the subject of abortion is undeniably a challenging endeavor, as it requires navigating a highly sensitive and controversial topic that elicits strong emotions and varied perspectives. The complexity arises not only from the ethical and moral dimensions but also from the legal, social, and medical aspects surrounding the issue. Attempting to present a balanced and nuanced discussion demands a thorough understanding of the historical context, cultural influences, and the evolving nature of the abortion debate. Striking the right tone, one that is both empathetic and objective, becomes a delicate tightrope walk, considering the deeply entrenched beliefs on either side of the argument. Furthermore, researching and incorporating reliable data, statistics, and expert opinions is crucial for substantiating arguments and providing a comprehensive overview of the multifaceted aspects of abortion. It is essential to remain vigilant against bias and to approach the subject with a commitment to intellectual integrity. As the writer, one must be prepared to grapple with the moral implications of the topic and be mindful of the potential impact on readers. Addressing the psychological and emotional aspects of abortion requires a delicate touch, as the subject matter involves personal choices and experiences that can evoke strong reactions. In conclusion, composing an essay about abortion demands not only strong analytical and research skills but also a heightened sensitivity to the diverse perspectives and deeply ingrained beliefs associated with the topic. • 2. Happy Chang Short Story Essay My initial reaction to this piece of literature was one of happiness. I love sports and the mostly, the only stories I love to read have sports tied into them one way or another. The fact that the setting took place at a baseball game was one that got me interested into the story and grabbed my attention all the way through. With saying this, I was really confused on how this storied played out. A jealous man that has had a rough past umpiring a championship gamethat in the end he doesn t he finish umping? Very confusing and hard to really know why the author set up and told the story the way he did. When they first mentioned Lori Chang on page 7, I smiled because of what they described her as. I thoughtof a very innocent girl that is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Part II: Reaction after Class Discussion After the class discussion, I will have to say that I like the story even more than a initially thought. Me liking the story more is mainly due to me understanding the story better than I did the first time I read it. I am just an average reader and the discussion really opened my eyes and made me realize all of the things that I didn t pick up on or were confused about make since and all tie in to the importance of the story. A big take away from the discussion that I did not even think about while reading the story the first time was the fact that it was a first person point of view and that we only get Jacks perspective told us. This made me rethink the story in a way that questioned if all the things Jack is saying is really the truth or is he just delusional. The question of Why does Tim always side with Carl on calls that Jack made in which Carl argued came up in class and it was discussed. I think with realizing that the story is from Jacks perspective really exposes this question because Tim sided with Carl multiple times in a situation that Lori Chang was supposedly throwing at their players heads (6,11). Then I wondered why would Jack be trying to protect Lori Chang and luckily this was also brought up in our discussion. Reading the story, the first time, I didn t pay much attention to Jacks
  • 3. My Experience In Poetry A few years ago, I found myself at a local coffee shop for a poetry slam. It was around the same time that I was trying to come to terms with life without my grandmother. She had been in the hospital for quite a long time, and I was surprised I found even a moment to show up to the poetry slam between my regular visits to the hospital, school, and other commitments. Nevertheless, I still found myself before the coffee shop entrance. The aroma and warmth from the inside were compelling, but I still hesitated. I had on a sweater and a jacket, but they were not quite enough. I shivered as I nervously entered to shop, my poem clinched in the numbness of my hand. I had prepared a poem as a final goodbye to my grandmother, but I felt like I needed it to be recited for practice before I read it to her. Part of me still hoped that I would not have to read it to her at all. I found the nearest empty seat and waited anxiously for my turn to read my poem. When my name was called my heart falls to the floor, the paper in my hand quivered loudly, and the room was quiet enough to hear it. I paced toward the stage and introduced myself and the title of the poem once I got there. Then I began to read. At first I spoke with your basic monotonic I m frightened style of presentation, but I choke up. I have to pause for a second because there s no way I could continue without crying out every word on the page. I began to almost scream the words: Ask someone how they feel about death,
  • 4. Children Living Apart from Families in Totalitarian Societies In many real life and fictionalized totalitarian societies, children live apart from their families. Why would dictatorial leaders enforce this living arrangement? In the book Anthem, the children are living in a totalitarian society. This society is usually run by a dictator and there is very little or no freedom. In totalitarianism, the governmentor in this case the councils control almost every aspect of life. There is no free speech or freedom of the press; certain religions or ideas may be banned. We are one in all and all in one. There are no men but only the great WE, One, indivisible and forever. This plays a great part in the book because we is what the people refer to as themselves. Everyone is equal to each other and there is no I . The councils in Anthem believe that no brother should ever rise above one another. No brother should outsmart the other. Knowledge is a powerful thing. In totalitarian societies children are taken away from their parents at very young ages, so they learn all the same things. All of the student s knowledge is kept at the same level. All the children know is only what the government teaches them. It was not that the learning was too hard for us. It was that the learning was too easy. It is not good to be different from our brothers, but is evil to be superior to them. This evidence from the book Anthem shows us that it is not a good thing to be smarter than the other student s. It is a sin. Dictators who want to restrain

When the movie was finally released, audiences all over the world were overwhelmed and they flocked cinemas that showed it to watch it. Although, it was banned in some countries, this did not stop it from having massive impact when it came to the soundtracks from the movie. The most outstanding song was Earned it by The Weeknd. Now, this song has an enormously great remix by one of our generation s greatest sex symbols, Trey Songz. I prefer to call this one, Fifty Shades of Trey, I think it has a creatively nice ring to it. The Weeknd has one of the most unique and impossible to beat vocals in the industry. But this is not a challenge to Trey, he steps up to it and he takes the challenge and he conquers. Every bit of this song is as captivating as the original. Some will even be inclined to say that it s even better. Personally I think they are both incredible and picking a favorite is impossible. Trey Songz brings the exceptional factors about his vocals and he lets them take the lead on this one. Where the pitch must be high, it is perfectly elevated, when it must be calm, he contains it and everything is beautiful. There is a playful and teasing element whenever Trey sings about making love and sex and you will feel it on Earned it (remix). Trey Songz sure knows how to get his ladies worked up. He knows how to find a way to their hearts and to their other places. Earned it (remix) I can predict has found and is still finding its way to a massive number of bedroom playlists. • 7. Essay about Wage Compression and Symbolic Egalitarianism An organisations internal pay structure can affect the way employees perform to the business strategy. Where a workers performance not only depends on the level of pay they receive (Solow, 1979, in Alexopoulos Cohen, 2003), but also takes into consideration their pay compared to workers above and below them, those within the same occupational group, and the external labour market (Akerlof and Yellen, 1990). Pfeffer (2005) argues that wage compression, which is the act of reducing the size of the pay differences among employees, improves productivity. To gain competitive advantage, organisations need to acknowledge not only hierarchical wage compression (between management and employees) but also the differences between individuals at... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is also a range of returns employees can receive; the psychological relational returns (learning opportunities, employment security), and total compensation returns which are transactional (benefits such as work/life balance, allowances, as well as cash compensation and bonuses) (Milkovich, Newman, Gerhart, 2011). However, the validity of Pfeffers argument is contestable. Although compressing the pay structure supports fairness and equality, there is also the problem of creating the opposite outcome. When wage differentials are eliminated, it may not be perceived as fair and create a negative effect on effort and motivation (Kraft, 1994). A Swedish study demonstrates this negative effect, whereby the higher paid workers morale and effort subsided leading to lower outputs as they did not feel valued for their skills (Hibbs and Locking, 2000, in Alexopoulos Cohen, 2003). Therefore, wage differentials aid in distinguishing between workers abilities and responsibilities to organisational performance (Beaumont Harris, 2003). Theorists have thus developed a counter argument, that it is in fact wage dispersion that leads to increased effort and performance (Lallemand, Plasman, Rycx, 2004). Instead of emphasising co operation, Lazear and Rosen s (1981) tournament theory highlights the need to differentiate pay, as larger variations are more motivating than smaller or equal differences.
  • 8. The Prevalence Of Pressure Ulcers The prevalence of pressure ulcers in elderly patients is of an epidemic proportion (Bansal, Scott, Stewart, Cockerell, 2005). The annual cost of treating pressure ulcers in the United States (U.S.) is estimated at more than $20 billion and is increasing (Jones, 2013). Pressure ulcers occur when an injury is caused to the skin and underlying tissue at the pressure points resulting in transient or permanent damage to the underlying tissue (Margolis, 1995). The prevalence is seen in patients who are immobile because of chronic health conditions or lying on hard surfaces for prolonged periods (Pham et al., 2011). A pressure ulcer can be disruptive and disabling to frail elderly patients (Landi, Onder, Russo Bernabei, 2007). A pressure ulcer can also result in complications, which can lead to mortality (Nigel Chow, 2002; Gary, Berlowitz Paul, 2001). Development of pressure ulcers is no longer limited to acute or sub acute facilities alone. As the population is aging, more elderly are receiving heath care in their homes (Ablaza Fisher, 1998). As a result, all stages of pressure ulcers are also seen in the homes (Park Lee Caffrey, 2009). However, there are limited studies that show the magnitude of the problem when compared to acute, sub acute, and nursing homes (Asimus Li, 2011). This project will conduct a retrospective chart review at a community based primary care provider to determine the prevalence of pressure ulcers among elderly individuals who are

This animation was black and white and was created just like any other animated film would have been at that time, hand drawn and taken frame by frame. Now however, current anime has surpassed its predecessors and is full of colorful characters and backgrounds that are appealing to the eye. Anime has also grown beyond targeting children and is now more targeted towards viewers with double digit ages and triple digit IQ s or young and old adults, as stated by Patrick Drazen, author of the book Anime Explosion!: The What? Acting as a base manga paves a way for anime to flourish into society and also acts as a guide for an anime s storyline. However, anime doesn t just depend on manga; manga also depends on anime. Patrick Drazen, author of the book Anime Explosion! agrees with Chambers on the fact that many Japanese anime begin life as comic books, and even goes on to say, This has several advantages, including the goodwill and familiarity of an audience that already knows and cares about the characters. It also enables the viewer who is familiar with the manga story to fill in the blanks as they see the counterpart anime (Drazen). Chambers also approaches anime as a completely different subject addressing how anime and manga are two completely different art forms. This view can be true with new technologies emerging around the world, and the method of making hand drawn anime being replaced by other methods such as CG (computer graphics). An article written by The Associated Press details small interviews with people in Anaheim s Anime Expo, which is considered the largest convention of anime and manga in American. Here, Oliver, an anime director from Los Angeles, states that, CG is becoming increasingly less expensive to do, and mass produce (The Associated Press). Also taking a stance on the difference between anime and manga The Associated Press addresses how unlike hand drawn anime, CG features ultra realistic, fluid movements and seamless shadows and light. With new methods replacing the old it is very viable to say that anime has deviated a small portion from its original hand drawing method. In fact, this deviation is enhancing the features of new anime and, is creating a more realistic and sophisticated animation

The artificial objects and particles in orbit around Earth are referred as orbital debris. They are objects which no longer serve a useful function and include non functional spacecraft, abandoned launch vehicle stages, mission related debris, fragmentation debris, old satellites etc. These objects travel at speeds over 22,000 miles an hour (35,000 kilometres an hour). At such high velocity, even small junk can rip holes in a spacecraft or disable a satellite by causing electrical shorts that result from clouds of superheated gas. For most size regimes, the flux of orbital debris within 2000 km of the Earth s surface already exceeds the flux of meteoroids. Figure computer illustration of density of space debris in low earth orbit As of 2009, about 19,000 pieces of debris larger than 5 cm (2.0 in) are tracked with another 300,000 pieces smaller than 1 cm below 200 km altitude. Space debris smaller than 1 cm (0.39 in), include dust from solid rocket motors, surface degradation products such as paint flakes, and coolant. Impacts of these particles cause erosive damage. The damage can be reduced using proper shield but all the object cannot be shielded solar panel, telescope. These components are subject to constant wear by debris and micrometeoroids. The debris can collide with themselves to cause even more waste in

The islands hold exotic and extraordinary plants and animals. Of these animals, some are going extinct or have already gone extinct. There are many varieties of natural and introduced plant life. Charles Darwinwas born February 12, 1809 in Shrewsbury, England. He sailed on the HMS Beagle in 1831. He knew he was going to the Galapagos, but he didn t know that he would discover the theory of evolution. The plants on the Galapagos Island are very tropical and numerous in varietes. According to the Galapagos Conservancy there are about six hundred and forty native species of of plants on the Galapagos Islands. There are about eight hundred and twenty five introducer species. One hundred of the introduced species have become established in the wild. There are three major zones that the plants live in ; the coastal zone, the arid zone, and the highlands zone. In the coastal zone mangrove trees are very common and have an important role for bird breeding sites. The arid zone is very dry and has adapted to the drought conditions. Some of these plants that have adapted to the drought conditions are the succulent cacti and the leafless shrub, which only grows leaves in the rainy season. The humid zones are lush and green. There are mosses and epiphytes growing on trees for support. Some animals like the Galapagos penguin, shown on the right have adapted to the

There were only 30 people in the cafeteria of Carmel Elementary School where they formed the church which later become Northview Church. Three years later, in the month of July, 1983. 285 people attended the last service at Carmel Elementary School, then they moved to the church s new place which is located at 131st and Gray Road. In the late 1985, the church bought an 81 acre of land located at the highest point in Hamilton County on the southwest west corner of Main Street in the city of Carmel. This is the place the church is currently located at ( Northview Church History ). Throughout my service, I learned that the church s mission is to connect people with God and connect people with people. This period, often referred to as the Second Red Scare, followed World War II and came as the United States entered the Cold War, was a time of much paranoia. Taking into account the fact that that the majority of enterprises were monopolists, and market regulation systems in the country did not exist, the enterprises took advantage of the situation to raise the prices of goods and services.(as we all know that it is profit push inflation) Reasons of inflation in Russia Usually the causes of inflation are divided by the monetary and non monetary. However, in our country, this division is very conditional, so at this stage it is better to talk about specific assumptions of a price growth. Usually experts name three main causes of inflation in Russia in recent years. First rising costs of food in the world. Our country is imported from the border a lot of food and raw materials. After the drought of 2010 the share of imports has increased significantly. The second reason the growth of budget expenditures, especially in the social sphere, and monetary support for the economy. The government continues to pump its money, that affect the growth of the money supply and as a result reduce the purchasing power of the ruble. The third cause of acceleration of inflation the growth of tariffs for state monopolies. Especially electricity. Most state owned companies raise their prices for gas, for energy, for tickets. • 35. Jackie O Working Girl And The Despair Of Jackie Kennedy November 22, 1963. This is the date that Jacqueline (Jackie) Kennedy Onassis forever lost her husband, John F. Kennedy (JFK). After this tragedy, also remarrying and losing that husband as well, Jackie found fulfillment in becoming a book editor shown in Jackie O, Working Girl (Lawrence). Not only does Jackie O, Working Girl shows how Jackie became a book editor, it also tells women working is not a bad thing. On the other hand, The Despair of Jackie Kennedy delves deep into the details of her mourning over the death of her husband. Other than these two articles talking about Jackie Kennedy, the only other similarity these articles share is they both use some of the same rhetorical strategies: purpose, tone, and audience selection. Although their methods in using purpose, tone, and guiding an audience however is completely different. To begin, the purpose of the articles Jackie O, Working Girl and The Despair of Jackie Kennedy is considerably contrary. The purpose of Jackie O, Working Girl is not only to tell about how Jackie became a book editor, it also shows women that it is okay to work even when they do not need to. Jackie became a book editor not because she needed the money, but because it was something for her to do (Lawrence). Jackie described in an interview why she chose to work. Lawrence wrote that Jackie said, what has been sad for many women of my generation is that they weren t supposed to work if they had families. There they were, with the highest education, and what were they to do when the children were grown watch the raindrops coming down the window pane? Leave their fine minds unexercised? Of course, women should work if they want to. You have to do something you enjoy. Women may not need to work, but what else is there to do when everything has already been finished? The purpose of The Despair of Jackie Kennedy is to inform people of the true events on how Jackie dealt with her husband s assassination, and the toll it took on her. Jackie couldn t stop obsessing over how she could have prevented JFK s assassination. She would run the scenarios over and over again in her head if only she recognized the sound of the first gunshot, if only she pulled him down into the car,

A well to do white woman and central character in this film, Eugenia Skeeter Phelan, aspires to be a journalist and decides to write and publish an exposГ© of the stories of the housemaids in Jackson to achieve this goal, however, only two maids, Aibileen Clark and Minny Jackson are willing to discuss their experiences with her. The other maid s in Jackson resist telling Skeeter their stories, fearing the punishments they would endure if the authorities were to find out. In spite of this, after the malicious arrest of one of their befriended maids, all of the maids begin to share their experiences, which consist of racial hostility and being treated as intrinsically subservient to white people. The story Skeeter publishes entitled The Help, creates a disturbance among the white families in Jackson, by exposing the racism the maids are faced with, forcing the white families to reflect upon how they have treated their maids. The storyline represented in The Help exhibits examples of the primordial approach to race and ethnicity, as well as numerous sociological concepts including segregation, internalized oppression, and white privilege, which will be exemplified in this paper in order to uncover the race relations evident within this film. • 38. Disadvantages Of Bariatric Surgery In efforts to cut down weight, bariatric surgery presents a very effective and quite easy alternative. Roux en Y gastric bypass (RYGB) and Sleeve Gastrectomy are two of the most popular methods of bariatric surgery practiced in the US and around the world. However, new findings show that these procedures have one major hazard that should be noted with caution: a risk to developing alcoholism. With an increasing number of people in the United States opting for sleeve gastrectomy, researchers from the University of Illinois and Washington University School of Medicine sort to find their effect on drug absorption after surgery. The research aimed at finding the action of alcohol in a body which has undergone such a procedure. This is also known as alcohol pharmacokinetics. Marta Yanina Pepino, the lead researcher and an assistant professor in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition, said that their findings indicated that these bariatric surgeries speed up alcohol absorption into the body. Blood alcohol levels were observed to reach very high levels and at a much higher rate than would be expected in an individual who has not gone for surgery. After having a sleeve gastrectomy, if a woman has a couple of drinks, she could be exposing her brain to blood alcohol levels that are achieved in a woman without surgery when she consumes four or five drinks, explained the lead author of the research, M. Belen Acevedo. This can make the casual 2 glasses feel like 6 8 glasses. Such high alcohol content in the body has been associated with an increased risk of developing alcohol related problems. If a patient is to indulge in frequent drinking, they can easily fall victim to alcoholism. Pepino explained further that it is crucial to know the pharmacokinetics of any drug. This way, the extreme effects of the drug may be determined. The faster a drug is absorbed, the higher the potential for addiction. Although research on sleeve gastrectomy has been done before, Pepino says that findings brought out don t concur with their findings. Out of the three earlier published research, two did not find any change in blood alcohol levels. The other one recorded that sleeve surgery causes a higher blood alcohol peak.

The problem with doing this is that it may effect a large amount of people who live off of these animals, in particularly the seal. The Canadian Inuit is a large group of people about 46,000 people as an estimation, that use seals as a multi source. The Canadian Inuit use the seal for a source of cash through fur sales, they used the seal for meat, and once used seal for oil lamps. In 1980 animal rightsactivists got their way and made it so that seal hunting was no longer legal. This affected thousands of Canadian Inuit who lived in small arctic hamlets who lived off of seal. The question is who is better off the Canadian Inuit, or the animals rights activists? Peter Singer is a utilitarian a philosopher who was much different from other utilitarians. In light of these revelations, Schulze acted inappropriately, by failing to bring the matter to the company s audit committee.
