2. What is a trailer?
A trailer is a commercial for a feature film that will be exhibited in the
future.
They consist of a series of selected shots from the film being
advertised.
As the purpose is to attract am audience, the parts contained in a
trailer are normally the most exciting of the funniest parts.
3. THEATRICAL TRAILER
Usually lasts about 2 and a half minutes which is the maximum
allowed by the MPAA. Each studio or distributor is allowed to exceed
the time limit once a year, if they feel it’s necessary for a particular
film
There are more footages of the film involved (this is usually due to
the fact that the film is in its final days of editing)
It is shown closer to the release date
4. Teaser trailer
Usually lasts about 90 seconds because the producers are in the
early stages of production so they just use the footages that they
have
It creates mystery as if the audience know too much of what
happens in the movie, they may lose interest
