product and so “Tease” the audience with items
from the finished product.
3. Format
Traditionally a teaser trailer will last for around 1-2
minutes, although there are many variances from
this and so it is not set out. It will often feature a few
major plot points in the film, but not reveal the final
outcome, and so will often have a cliff-hanger and
create suspense for the viewer.
4. Content
The content of a teaser trailer is stereotypically clips
from the upcoming film alongside a narrator, any
clips are kept short and narrations simple as to not
give away too many plot points within the film.
5. Purpose
The main purpose of a teaser trailer is to tease the
audience about the upcoming film, they are largely
there to build hype so that more people hear about
the films release and go to view it upon its release.
