This document provides an overview of trigonometry, including its origins in Greek mathematics, the six main trigonometric functions defined in terms of right triangles, and trigonometric identities. Trigonometry is the study of triangles and relationships between sides and angles, with the six functions—sine, cosine, tangent, cotangent, secant, and cosecant—defined based on ratios of sides. Special angle values and identities are also discussed as important concepts in trigonometry.

Trigonometry is a field of mathematics that studies relationships between side lengths and angles of triangles. The field emerged in the Hellenistic world during the 3rd century BC from applications of geometry to astronomical studies. Though many modern students who pursue this career are unaware of its history, it has always been important to engineers. Pythagoras, the Pythagorean Theorem and Archimedes’ The Great Bridge are just a few of the timeless concepts that the mathematics of triangles can be applied to. Trigonometry has two primary components: arithmetic and geometry. Geometry describes geometric relationships between lines and angles. Arithmetic is the study of multiplication, division, integration, and multiplication.
The concept of trigonometric ratios is important in Maths trigonometry. Some of applications and procedures are discussed here for easy understanding the concept clarity.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The Indian economy is classified into different sectors to simplify the analysis and understanding of economic activities. For Class 10, it's essential to grasp the sectors of the Indian economy, understand their characteristics, and recognize their importance. This guide will provide detailed notes on the Sectors of the Indian Economy Class 10, using specific long-tail keywords to enhance comprehension.

3. ORIGIN
The word trigonometry comes from
the Greek words trigonon (“triangle”)
and metron (“to measure”).
Trigonometry in the modern sense
began with
the Greeks. Hipparchus (c. 190–
120 BCE) was the first to construct a
table of values for a trigonometric
function, (Brown, 2006).
4. WHAT IS TRIGONOMETRY
• According to Dalal (2013), trigonometry is the branch of mathematics that
studies triangles and the relationships between their sides and the angles
between the sides.
5. THE SIX TRIGONOMETRIC FUNTIONS
Trigonometric functions from a right triangle perspective. functions of the acute angle.
sine
cosecant
cosine
secant
tangent
cotangent
6. THE RULES
• Sin = opp/hyp
• Cos = adj/hyp
• Tan = opp/adj
• Csc = hyp/opp
• Sec = hyp/adj
• Cot = adj/opp
9. Special Angles continuation…
• The table on the previous slide shows special angles which remains the same
throughout.
• Often when asked to find a solution to a problem without using a calculator,
you will then be required to know the table of special angles by head.
• Others also use the fan method or drawing an acute triangle with the aim of
remembering the degrees and their values without the use of a calculator.
