He then took a step back to facilitate and collaborate with the students as they began creating their own Voki characters.

- 1. Traveling in Time An integrated social studies, language arts, and technology lesson plan for fourth grade Lesson developed by Charmaine Leavell, Casey Morito, Kristen Rowell and Alyssa Wester
- 2. The Lesson Students will read the novel Strawberry Girl by Lois Lenski and participate in a blog with classmates responding to the book. Students learn about the pioneer experience and relate it to their own lives. Students will use technology to record an interview with a family member about when, how and why their family moved to Florida. Students create a multimedia presentation from their interview to present to the class.
- 3. KidBlog Students will create a blog writing their thoughts on the book. Students will be assessed by writing a reaction to the book and respond to fellow student’s blog each day. This blogsite is especially created for Elementary students and is private. Here is an example of a blog entry written by a student:

Teacher Creation Teacher’s should assess their knowledge on Power Point and other multimedia presentation software (imovie) Teacher’s also need to research and find safe blogging sites (Kidblog) Content Knowledge: Book, Strawberry Girl & History of Pioneer life in Florida Teacher’s should become familiar with different recording technologies to provide students choices (video, digital cameras, imovie)
