This Powerpoint is the updated Unit Plan at the end of the semester after learning all of the new technology tools and how to effectively and efficiently use them in the classroom.
In a mobile, digital age how can students be connected to learning? This session will discuss how students are connecting outside school hours and the implications for learning in the classroom. Access to digital learning resources, catering for students with varying abilities, personalised learning, monitoring and reporting progress, group and individual activities and professional learning for teachers will all be discussed.

This is a presentation given at the recent VITTA12 conference. Although the conference was face to face, my presentation was made virtually. Technology is changing learning spaces into digital, mobile, virtual and global ones. Stories from the classroom and some useful resources are shared.
Paradise Presentations
Integration of presentations to your classroom is a must for this school year! It’s like the high fashion accessory must have for 2016-2017. Come learn some amazing tools to take your students learning from boring to BAM! Best suited for teachers grades 2-8.
This document is my written commentary, or analysis and reflection. It was typed following my lesson plan I taught to the first grade class. It is based upon documentation requirements of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
I was assigned to follow 5 accounts on Twitter and write paragraphs about each of the accounts and what they're about. I was also asked to include snapshots of tweets I commented to or about.
These are my before pictures for the Digital Imaging Photoshop. They were too big to post directly into Livetext so I created a document slideshow instead.

Acetabularia Information For Class 9 .docxvaibhavrinwa19
Acetabularia acetabulum is a single-celled green alga that in its vegetative state is morphologically differentiated into a basal rhizoid and an axially elongated stalk, which bears whorls of branching hairs. The single diploid nucleus resides in the rhizoid.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
2. Analyze Learners
My classroom:
• 5th Grade
• 26 students-15 girls, 11 boys
• 6 students have IEPs
• Three boys are medicated for ADHD.
• Three students have LDs in reading.
• Rural Caucasians
• Low income families
3. Main Objective
• My students will identify and describe the parts
of a narrative and create a story of their own by:
analyzing examples of narratives in the forms of
children’s literature, videos, and podcasts in
groups and as a class discussion; utilizing and
practicing Digital Storytelling links and resources
provided on the class Wiki; taking a quiz on
twtpoll; exploring links on my blog; conversing
with Zello; creating a poster that aligns with their
story on Powerpoint; and creating a robot. They
will do so in 8 class days with 100% accuracy.
4. Day by Day
• Monday-Students will recall the parts of a
narrative by watching a video, taking notes, and
discussing examples on a poster. Then, they will
identify the elements in a story in a read aloud of
Tops & Bottoms.
• Tuesday-Students will listen to When Sophie Gets
Angry, a podcast, and identify the elements.
Then, they will watch Young Sloppy Brush and do
the same.
5. Day by Day
• Wednesday-Students will explore the links and
resources on the class Wiki page Storytelling
and my blog and begin their ideas for their
own stories.
• Thursday-Students will create their stories,
whether it be a podcast, a video, using an
online link for a digital cartoon, or typing and
illustrating.
6. Day by Day
• Friday-Students will present their stories to
the class and we will discuss the elements in
their stories. Students will be expected to
comment on two peers’ stories on their Wikis.
• Week 2 (Mon-Wed) – I will demonstrate how
to use the Arts & Bots kit. Students will then
design, construct, and program robots that
align with their stories and we will discuss the
connection with the science unit.
7. Technology
• Microsoft Word
• Wiki
• Blog
• Youtube
• Zello
• Photoshop
