• Transfer of learning means, the use of
previously acquired knowledge and skills
in new learning or problem solving
situation. It is the process of extending
and applying behavior.

• When learning in one situation in have positive
effects while applying in another situation. it is
known as positive Transfer Of Learning.
• For example: Driving a Scooty facilitates driving a
motorbike.
Negative Transfer Of Learning
• When previous learning block or interfere with
performance or learning in a new situation. It is
known as negative transfer of learning.
• For example: Pronunciation of mother tongue
becomes obstacle while pronouncing English
language.
Zero Transfer Of Learning
• No effect of previously learnt knowledge.
• Neither positive nor negative.
• For example: If a person learns to play guitar and
loves to play badminton too.
