Accident Report Involving Human Errors
NTSB Accident Report Involving Human Errors
Abstract
The American Airlines Flight 1420 fatal accident is reported as a runway overrun accident. The NTSB
(National Transportation Safety Board) investigated the accident on what would result in the accident.
This work s basic objective is to put emphasis on the human aspects that resulted in the accident by
applying the Human Factor Analysis and Classification System (HFCAS). It also incorporates the
Swiss Chess approach to link the series of events that eventually became the set of events that
triggered the accident.
NTSB applied the HFCAS in the analysis of the human factors in the flight, and it was enlightening to
see that it proved on how the fatal even occurred. The HFACS synergized with the Swiss Chess
illustrates the manner in which one occurrence resonates to the other. Also, the model revealed that the
resources and regulations of the company after inadequate monitoring, combined with the prevalent
weather conditions and fatigued flight crew instigated unsafe actions. This includes wrong judgment
and errors that took place before and during the landing of the airplane.
Introduction
The American Airlines Flight 1420 was on its way to Little Rock National Airport on the 1st June
1999. The pilot of the airplane was regarded as an experienced one. NTSB (2001) reports that the
aircraft used in the flight is a McDonnell Douglas DC 9 82 (MD 82). The flight was scheduled to
touchdown at 11:50 P.M. and had an on

Essay on History of The U.S. Military
History of The U.S. Military
The history of the United States military is a very prestige, brave, heroic, and memorable one at that.
Starting on September 3, 1793 the United States was officially it s own nation and it s own military. At
that time many other countries didn t believe that we would succeed but, now we are one of the
strongest, freest, and most prestige country to possible ever be developed.

After several months of failed experiments they had finally made a bomb to test. On July 6, 1945 they
had tested this new bomb at Los Alamos. Then one month later the 2 nuclear bombs were dropped on
Japans Hiroshima and Nagasaki. One of the main reasons that Truman had initiated the dropping was
because he belived it would end the war.
Once every one had realized that the Manhattan Project was a success the Soviet Union had begin to
make there own form of a nuclear weapon. Thus the begin of the atomic arms race had started. This
had also started the beginning of the cold war as well.
In 1949 the cold war had started , China had turned communist, and the Soviet Union tested there first
atom bomb. The testing of there atom bomb was one of the many reasons why this war had started.
One of the other reasons was that communism was taking over the east and the nations of the U.N.
were afraid that there allies or profits might be lost to communism. When China had became
communist with as many people it has making a large workforce could spell trouble for the
democracies. Communism was also flexing it s muscles in the Soviet Union after making sure the

How Energy Can Be Conserved, The Fiscal Value Of...
Introduction In the world that we live in today, energy is in high demand. Businesses and family
budgets require energy efficiency in order to get their money s worth. Technology is being constantly
developed to help make our energy sources more efficient. More efficient lighting, like LED light
bulbs are being produced to conserve energy, along with more efficient vehicles. Some of these
technologies are more readily implemented, and affordable than others, but efforts are still being made
to make the world a more energy efficient place. In addition to energy efficiency saving money for
businesses and households, it also helps reduce the emission of greenhouse gases that contribute to
global climate change.
Summary

Sources of greenhouse gases include: 1) Domestic gas used in homes for heating water, the stove, and
the house in general. This tends to be the most noteworthy source of emissions by individuals.³ 2)
Electricity used for running refrigerators, dryers, and televisions, and charging devices uses
approximately 4,000 units of electricity per annually.³ 3) Traveling by air is also a part of the average
person s carbon footprint; although the tendency tends to be for a person to either rarely fly, or fly
often (as in about twenty flights yearly).³ 4) Electronics like phones, iPods, and laptops use up energy,
and have to be charged often.³ 5) The food that we eat is also a component of our carbon footprint.
The fertilizers used to grow, and produce the food that we buy is the main source of greenhouse gases
in the food process; although packaging, and transporting food is also a small part of it.³ 6) The
production of the clothes that we wear has an impact. Manmade materials give off less emissions
opposed to products like cotton and wool.³ 7) Paper uses up a lot of energy when it is produced.
Recycling helps reduce the amount of energy expended in paper production.³ 8) Water and sewage
takes up energy because of the power it takes to pump water to houses and buildings, and treating
water also produces

The Principles of Communication
Communication is an ever developing topic in which human beings can express their feelings and
emotions on a daily basis whether they were positive or negative in the most suitable way. According
to Preja (2013) the term Communication can be traced back to the Latin word Communis which
stands for to be connected to or to be in a relationship with . Communication can be classified to two
types, verbal and non verbal. Verbal communication focuses mainly on vocals while non verbal
communication is innate and takes into account the speechless signals people do, not say, when
interacting with each other. It takes several forms, such as voice characteristics, body language,
chromatics and chronemics. In this report, the importance of non verbal communication concept will
be discussed as well as an explanation and examples of each of these types. Non Verbal refers to a
communication use no words but use haptics, proxemics ,kinesics and chromatics rather than words
spoken or written , it can give people s real feeling. However, non verbal communication is a use of
body language and paralanguage such as tone, laughter and facial expression. Acccording to Leemann,
kolly Dellwo (2014) Supra segmental voice characteristics show that individuals can be recognised by
hearing their voices even if they are not familiar, Such observations reveal that speakers carry
individual features in their voices ,the fact that human voices demonstrate their individuality can be

Essay on The Shawnee Tribe in Central Pennsylvania
The Shawnee Tribe in Central Pennsylvania
His name is Wautheeweela. It means Bright Horn, referring to horns on a deer. He is ten years old, and
ready to make his journey to prove his manhood. He and other boys from his Shawnee tribe have been
physically toughened and taught to be independent since an age of around six. In winters, they have
had to break the ice to jump into the freezing river to continue their daily routine of learning to survive
with Nature and its elements. Now will be his test of endurance. He is sent into the woods with a bow
and arrow and told not to come back until he had shot something to eat. His face is blackened with
charcoal, a sign to all who saw him that he is on his quest and cannot be helped. He would ... Show

The large buck comes out from behind a tree and shows itself. He pulls back his arrow. This is the
moment of truth for this young boy, a part of growing up in the Shawnee culture in central
Pennsylvania.
Central Pennsylvania was never known as to have been the permanent settlement for any large group
of Native Americans. It was more of a stop for traveling tribes or a place of refuge. The Cherokees
once passed through here in the early 17th century (Wallace, 1970). The Susquehannock Indians were
an Iroquois Indian tribe that settled the Susquehanna watershed before they migrated to Maryland,
near the Chesapeake Bay (Cadzow, 1936). The tribe that stayed the longest and had the most influence
on Central Pennsylvania was the Shawnee. The Shawnees were an Algonkian people whose original
home was most likely the Cumberland River in Tennessee. This southern position gave them the name
Shawnee, meaning southerners in the Algonkian language. The Shawnees split up often and moved
around a lot, they are noted to have lived in parts of Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and
Pennsylvania. Their first known appearance in Pennsylvania in great numbers was in 1697 (Harvey,
1855). The tribe had five main groups: Chillicothe, Kispokotha, Pique, Sawekela, and the Makostrake
(Johnson, 1937). These became so intermixed that they are now indistinguishable. The reasons for
these groups were mainly for political and ritual purposes and did not affect

The Dream Team Of Quality Management
W. Edwards Deming and Joseph Juran, at times are considered the Dream Team of quality
management in the workplace. Along with Edward Deming and Joseph Juran, Crosby forms the troika
of management gurus who made quality the buzzword in corporate USA, Europe and Japan in the
1970s and 1980s. MANAGEMENT: Beyond zero defects. (1998) W. Edward Deming, Joseph Juran
and Philip Crosby at one time or another have been described by the Japanese as being among their
greatest teachers in the quality control movement. As with any specialty, the TQM field is populated
by hundreds of experts, self proclaimed and otherwise, whose publicists refer to them as
internationally known consultants. For the bluffer s purposes, however, there are only five names
worth committing to memory: Deming, Juran, Feigenbaum, Philip B. Crosby and Kaoru Ishikawa.

Barbie Doll Analysis
Not Like a Barbie The poem Barbie Doll written by Marge Piercy is about the pressure of fitting in
society. We look at a healthy girl that had a normal childhood. She grew up playing with toys
according to her gender and was considered smart at school. This girl had an endless number of
qualities for having a wonderful future. Everything for her lost value when in her adolescence a
classmate made her feel not beautiful because she did not look like a Barbie doll. There was a time in
my life when I experienced similar situations that connect me with the poem. There s a line that says,
you have a great big nose and fat legs (6) takes me back to my puberty. That is the time when our
body undergoes huge changes and sometimes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this part of the poem the speaker is not saying that she mutilated herself. The real meaning is that
she went into surgery trying to fix her nose and legs and make them look small like a Barbie doll.
Clearly, we have to evaluate to what degree we fit in or to what degree we must reject the negative
messages society send us. No one should go to the operating room because there are some beauty
standards that we must meet. In my case, I do not have plastic surgery because I consider that we do
not need them. If we do decide to have plastic surgery, we must be careful. Nowadays, the number of
people undertaking surgery is increasing, and men also undergo surgery. I think that those procedures
are very delicate, and people risk their lives in the operating room. Sometimes people survive, but they
do not like the way they look. Some doctors are very demanding because they are performing these
surgeries illegally in their houses or the patient s homes at affordable prices. They also do not care
about their patients and are not using the appropriate equipment, and sometimes there are cases of
people being deformed or dead. I think that those who want plastic surgery might undertake it only
with the qualified personal. We must love our body and if we plan to change some part of it should be

Japan During The Meiji Period
From the early to mid 1800s, the United States expanded rapidly. With this expansion, the United
States sought out new areas for trade commerce. With Britain and other countries heavily involved in
China, the U.S. searched for another of trade within the region. President Millard Fillmore dispatched
Commodore Matthew C. Perry with a letter demanding Japan to open their ports for commerce. Upon
the first arrival, Americans were great with a completely new experience for people. Some people
considered found the Japanese s culture to be repulsive while others were very fascinated. This paper
discusses the experiences of two Americans who visited Japan during the Meiji Period compared to
initial experiences. There were numerous reasons why the United States had an interest in forming
diplomatic relations with Japan. The opening of China s ports for commerce along with the new
acquisition of a California made the United States want to expand its influence in the world. One of
the most abundant resources needed was coal. With steam ships replacing sailing ships, the United
States had to establish a coaling station for refuel. With the heavy influence of the British over in
China, Japan made for the perfect geographic location. America was involved in whaling for their oil.
Prior to Commodore s Expedition to Japan, there were preconceptions of the type of people they were.
American sailors left stranded on the island of Japan were typically imprisoned. This inhumane

When we start our own business, it is very vital to recognize our passion and vision so that we know
what we want our business to be and set appropriate strategies and plans to pursue it. Also, weighing
our weaknesses and strengths is important. It lets us know who and what type of people we can bring
on board to strength our weaknesses and how we utilize our strengths in suitable areas. The second
step is to pick a car. It refers to how to choose the right channel to market the products or ideas. The
third step is to identify any potential partners who have similar interests and are able to give
constructive opinions. Cooperation and teamwork always help get things done efficiently. The forth
step is to optimize our fuel. It means that we have to recognize what our motivations and
determinations are in order to keep going. Some people usually give up when they encounter
challenges. We have to keep reminding ourselves about our dream. The last step is to scan the road.

The Existence Of Latin American Culture
The question of what exactly Latin American culture is was brought up very early in the text. Does
Latin American culture exist outside of the european spectrum it has been put in? Was there ever such
a thing as latin american culture in the first place?
Although this question sounds merely ignorant and condescending, it is in fact questioning the very
existence of Latin American people in what is now known as the American Continent.
According to Retamar, these questions of existence have to do with colonialism, neo colonialism and
imperialism. All three are used to suppress the voice and expression of people of color all throughout
the Americas causing a cultural hierarchy that does not express the true nature of Latin America and is
forcing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For Retamar, Sarmiento represents all of the pro United States, pro capitalist, ethnocentric, and racist
values that Martí opposes (25). Martí s vision of a mestizaje culture, on the other hand, is the only
authentic aesthetic for Latin America. Retamar goes further than Martí in his proposition: he argues
that the only way to realize this authentic mestizaje culture is through a socialist revolution: Our
culture is and can only be the child of revolution, of our multisecular rejection of all colonialisms (38).
Therefore, he views the Cuban Revolution as a great success despite its imperfect outcomes and as an
exemplary move for all of Latin America. For Retamar, the European educated elite is the bourgeoisie
while the mestizo population is the proletariat. While the bourgeoisie continues to hold a monopoly
over culture, the general population has no agency. Therefore, a socialist system is a way to ensure the
democratization of education and economic resources in order to reclaim culture for the

The Influence Of Tax Credits
The Influence of Tax Credits The impetus behind the tax credits appears to be two fold. As taxpayers
work to improve energy efficiency, decreasing usage, and lessening the environmental impact of their
daily activities, they may receive financial rewards based on their actions. The offer of tax credits is an
attempt to achieve a certain behavior from the consumer. However, two important things must take
place before the consumer takes action. First, the consumer must be aware that a tax credit is
available. Sales are highly publicized, but publicity relating to tax credits is limited. Once the
consumer is made aware of a tax credit, they must view the tax credit as a reduction in price, but a tax
credit is much more complicated with several caveats. Environmental tax credits offered by various
levels of government are extremely popular with both the governing bodies and those who benefit
from the credits. Government is seen as taking a positive step not only towards improving the
environment, but reducing the United States dependency on fuel from other countries which in turn
allows for greater security. Tax credits allow the individual or business to decide how to spend their
money and the financial benefit of a particular behavior. The financial benefit may be in the form of
reduced operating costs or taxes. However a closer look at eco friendly tax credits for the individual
consumer points to a class discrepancy. These tax credits require an initial and

The townspeople want to know who the baby s father is but Hester refuses to tell them, even when her
former husband inquires about it. As her punishment, the officials make her wear a scarlet letter A so
everyone will know what sin she committed. Throughout the book, Hester and Mr. Dimmesdale each

Melinda is a greedy and selfish girl. No one liked Melinda very much because of her malicious
attitude. She was also very greedy and selfish. This flaw comes back to bite her in the end. In Those

selfish wishes. She said, During the rest of the walk to school, Melinda was occupied with wonderful
ideas. She would have beautiful clothes. Wish number two, that I will always be perfectly dressed, and
she was just that. She did not wish for anything good for the world. She wished that she could be
better than everyone. She only thought for herself and she is very selfish for doing that. Her greed
controlled her actions. Perhaps the most obvious section where the theme is apparent is at the end of
the story. Melinda finally gets the repercussions of her greedy and selfish behavior. Once Melinda
realizes she had not studied for her test because she was too caught up with the snail she takes out her
anger at the snail. She then wishes, I wish I were dead. This is the ultimate payback for being greedy.
She was being very greedy throughout the story and finally she wishes she was dead and of course it
came true. Melinda let her greed overcome her and she payed for it. The theme of Those Three Wishes
is that greed can control you. Melinda gives us an example of this in the story. She acts in a greedy
and selfish way and she gets her payback. Melinda realizes the outcome of being greedy. Being greedy
gets you nowhere and the author gave us that theme through the story of Melinda. The author showed

Understanding The Roots Of Crime
One may avoid negativity for any kind of reason. One may be distressed by it, or perhaps one may
find negativity traumatizing to their emotions. Whatever it may be, some people attempt to dodge any
sort of negativity. The topic of my independent novel serves to not only challenge the idea of avoiding
any kind of depressing news, but to bring light to new ways of thinking that humanity should adopt
should we want to understand the roots of crime. Furthermore, we should use our knowledge of these
roots to prevent crime.

Soon after, Sylvia became incontinent, and Gertrude locked her in the basement. A bathing regime

Analysis Of Lorna Crozier s Poem The Eye Rhyme
A strong masculine rhyme consisting of a single stressed syllable My Tongue is generations dead, My
Nose defiles a comely head; (5 6) gives a weight to these lines and provides rhetorical emphasis. It
creates a break by bonding these lines tightly to each other. Because it is a perfect rhyme, it sounds a
bit cutesy and childish, so it creates levity to contrast and enlighten the theme of death. The eye
rhyme, For hearkening to carnal evils My Ears have been the very devil s (7 8) creates more
dissonance and thus disjunction in the reader. This irritation allows passage back into a state where it
easier to empathize with the devil and evil. More furtive then the Hand in low And vicious venery Not
so! (11 12) exemplifies an imperfect or partial or approximate or slant or pararhyme which supports
the theme of deception and dissent articulated by the words, furtive (11) and, Not so! (12).
3.What is the chief symbol in Lorna Crozier s poem Forms of Innocence (Geddes, 751)? What does
the symbol suggest beyond its literal meaning?
The chief symbol in Lorna Crozier s poem is the black swan. The swan evokes the dark passionate
mysterious mystic of wild unpredictable dark feminine energy that holds the quiet potential power of
creation. The swan is the companion of the love goddesses Saraswati and Venus in Roman mythology.
It represents the flight of a young girl s innocent ignorance towards the sky as it is ripped away by the
powers of sexual enlightenment. The bird acts as a

The Abandoned Colony by Karen Ordahl Kupperman
Thesis: The Roanoke colony proved to be an unsuccessful venture in the New World for England,
since leaders of the expedition held the viewpoint that privateering would prove to be the most
profitable aspect of founding the new settlements in the West. However future, still unsuccessful
attempts to make a permanent colony at Roanoke, helped England understand how to build a
prosperous one; and it became a building block for establishing future colonies for England and
helped shape the ideas that would help launch their empire.

They had a strange relationship, since many of the colonists respected the Indian s way of life and
were amazed by how they lived. Many attributed their strength to the tobacco that they consumed.
Others saw them as savages and wanted to convert them to the European way of life. The colonists
ended up waging war with them and killed some Croatoans. White went back to England to request
supplies, and when he came back, the colony was abandoned, with evidence that they joined the
Croatoans. CRO was written on a tree, a sign that the colonists left to tell him where they had gone.
However, they were to carve a cross over the name if they were forced to vacate, but there was no
such mark. An entrance post also had the word Croatoan carved into it, also without any crosses. Big
items like weapons were left behind, but all smaller supplies were gone. The book uses Professor
David Quinn s theory to explain what happened. The bulk of the colony moved to the Chesapeake Bay
and lived in peace while the rest stayed behind to guard the heavier equipment. However, the Spanish
threat and Indian hostility forced them to leave. They were the ones who left the notes. Rumors
continued to spin when Indians told stories to the people of Jamestown in the Chesapeake Bay about
whites living with the Indians. Unfortunately, White, Ralegh, and everyone else searching for the
colony never found them. Even after hearing of why Roanoke failed,

John Basilon Leadership Essay
For our legacy leader paper I have been assigned to select a leader who has had a positive impact on
my growth as a leader and a Military Intelligence professional; as well as discuss the legacy that I
would like to leave behind. In this paper I will discuss lessons that I have learned from the story of
John Basilone. John Basilone was a Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp who earned
the Medal of Honor during World War Two. He was a leader who left a resonating impression in the
Marine Corp and the American people during a time of great turmoil; and while not a military
intelligence soldier his story has left an impression on me as a leader in today s Army. On the 25th of
October 1942 John Basilone and his Platoon were engaged in a battle at Guadalcanal that had already
endured for two days. At midnight the Japanese began an attack in which hundreds of Japanese
infantrymen rushed the remaining American lines. Sergeant Basilone, who was an experienced
machine gunner was in charge of two heavy machine gun sections, quickly organized his formation
and began to manage the fight. There are numerous accounts of the actions he took on the battlefield
that day including running through gunfire and grenade bursts to resupply his men with ammunition
and operating the machine gun himself. Eventually during a small break in the fighting, Sergeant
Basilone managed to reorganize his machine guns and remaining men into an improved defensive
position which ultimately lead to

through dramatic situations in her life she used cooking as one her strengths to help her to be strong.
In the article Feminism in Like Water for Chocolate it states, it is through food that Tita both compares
and understands her own emotional and physical state. This statement explains to the readers that Tita
can only figure out her emotions when it comes to the kitchen and cooking. Cooking to Tita is
important because she entered the world right there on the kitchen table amid the smells of simmering
noodle soup, thyme, bay leaves, and cilantro. Cooking become a huge impact on Tita life because she
felt like she can only express herself when it came to cooking. Just in the same way, Tita had another
strength that attributed toward her which includes, the long lasting love she has for people. In the
novel, the author Laura Esquivel explains how Tita is a person who is nurturing and self sacrificing.
For examples, in the novel she states, the baby s cries filled all the empty space in Tita s heart. She

Writing In A Social-Media Related Context
The following text addresses my personal view about writing in a social media related context.
Since my early days as a student, things have changed a lot; from the mostly handwritten way of
writing, being attentive to good calligraphy, and paper neatness, to using typewriters to have more
consistent and presentable results. Then, there was the time of the early computer word processors
that, nevertheless, brought new resources to the average writer. Writing was mostly an individual
experience, generally limited to essays, term papers and interpersonal correspondence, but that has
changed a lot since the advent of the internet.
The use of electronic mail, website commenting, and blogging is here to stay as a form that many

Everyday Use Theme
Everyday Use By Alice Walker
In Alice Walker s short story Everyday Use Mama is the narrator. She speaks of her family of two
daughters Maggie and Dee. Through the eyes of two daughters, Dee and Maggie, who have chosen to
live their lives in very different manners, the reader can choose which character to identify most with
by judging what is really important in one s life. Throughout the story three themes consistently show.
These themes show that the family is separated by shame, knowledge, and pride.
Maggie is shamed from her scares of being burnt by their previous house. As her mother describes,
She has been like this, chin on chest, eyes on ground, feet in shuffle, ever since the fire that burned the
other house to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Maggie is mostly saying Uhnnnh if anything at all throughout the whole story. Mama portrays Maggie
as a girl who will stand hopelessly... homely and ashamed of the burn scars down her arms and legs
from the fire, and who feels inferior to Dee (Walker 86). These burns and scars that Maggie has may
be the reason of her lack of knowledge simply because she was ashamed to be in the learning
atmosphere. Dee, unlike Maggie, is very brilliant. There seems to be some tension and or jealousy of
how smart Dee is. Mama and Maggie used to listen to Dee read to them while they where trapped
sitting there ignorantly. Mama said it was knowledge they didn t need to know. She also said that she
often fought off the urge to shake her. Since Mama didn t get a chance to go to school, she feels
inferior to Dee s skill of knowledge. Mama s tension is because she didn t get a chance to learn as
much as Dee has (Walker 87 88).
Pride is the theme that seems to separate this family the most. It s having pride versus not having it.
Maggie doesn t have it. She does not speak for herself when Dee wants the quilts. She lets mama
speak for her. Like a scalded dog, she hides behind Mama when Dee arrives. Mama compares Maggie
to a Lame animal...run over by a car... (Walker 88). Pride mostly comes from respect and she doesn t
get much. Dee maybe has too much pride. This probably comes from the world not knowing how to
say no to her. She has looks and she s what one would describe as

Looking For Work By Gary Soto Summary
An Analysis of a Young Boy s Subconscious
Although it may not seem like it, we all have witnessed this experience: think one thing, and do
another. For some reason or another we have a subconscious separation between our desires and
needs. While we think we might want something, our subconscious is in the background dictating our
actions behind those desires. Such is the human mind so silently conceited. This is especially true of
young children, for example, more often than not asking a child why they preformed an action you ll
most likely get the age old, I don t know . While it is not always a function that ends with a positive
conclusion, it most certainly does in Gary Soto s Looking For Work. Mr. Soto s narrative starts with

She gave him 20 cents to fetch a Coke from the liquor store, and when he returned she gave him a
nickel. Soto then proceeds to do another job for which he is rewarded with a whole quarter and two
peaches that he proceeds to eat rather sloppily in the alley behind his house. As he finished the last
one, his friend Little John comes by. It was a blistering hot day so Little John suggested that they head
to Roosevelt High School so that they could take a swim to cool off. The problem was that Little John
was short five cents, but Soto quickly lent him his nickel. They began to board the bike, when Soto s
little sister came around a corner crying because she couldn t go. Now Soto, being the wonderful
brother that he is, waved her to climb on to the bike. All three of them proceeded to spend the rest of
the day swimming under the hot afternoon sun until their skin darkened. The previous is an example
of how you may begin with one idea in mind, and end with a totally different one, seemingly without
even being aware of your original intentions. Soto wanted the money to appear rich in the eyes of
those around him, namely the white neighbors that never seemed to like him. His subconscious
reacted and registered this action as one that could negatively effect him, and overrides his intended
outcome. All the money he wanted for showing off, was spent on a fun day with a friend and his

Character Analysis Of Yetta In Brave
3. One of the characteristics that give Yetta an advocate is her voice. She is not afraid to speak up for
the cause. She even knows that there are going to be consequences to her going out Yetta isn t exactly
fearless for everyone has fears but she is brave. Brave is going out and doing what you believe in
despite of what is happening all around you. When Jane saw Yetta being taken in by the police, she
said, She s that free... That free, even on her way to jail. You can see how Yetta is actually that free in
what she does. Yetta knows what it is like to have that constant fear of danger around, because of the
pogroms in Russia and Rahel telling them to her. I saw people burned alive. I saw people lighting

I believe she truly did love her father, but just hated what money had done to him. She thought that
she had been tricked all her life about her father actually loving her. Jane became very close with Bella
and Yetta, so she probably thought that if she went back to her father, that she would become a traitor.
One of the main things that set Jane off was when she realized that her father had hired strikebreakers.
I don t want anything that your money buys, if that s how you got it? Jane yelled. Hiring
strikebreakers, hurting people, probably starving them too . This shows how upset Jane was about the
issue. I believe that deep down Jane knew that her father actually loved her. I also think that Jane
thought her father was on Miss Milhouse s side before talking to Mr. Corrigan. Miss Millhouse said to
her, ...You re nothing. Just a bit of fluff your father s going to use to marry off, to enhance his
business. To try to make Jane think that her Father would be on Miss Milhouse s side, she also states,
And whom do you think he ll believe?... Moi, his longtime, faithful servant? Or you, his useless,
troublesome daughter, who wants to consort with guttersnipes? I think that Miss Milhouse made Jane
doubt even more about her father s love for her. The last reason she did not send the letter is because
her father would see her lower now, because she now was a servant for an immigrant family, her
clothes were out of style, and she lived in a tenement. I believe that the thing that wouldn t allow her
to contact her father was that she probably did not want to go to the post office by herself, for it was
common for a man to do that business. Another reason for her not going to the post office is that Jane
could not afford the money to send the

Fast and Furious will employ a global low cost leadership strategy and pursue a competitive advantage

Some of these specifications include 8mm image sensors, 230k pixel lcd display screens, 2704x1520

Similar to our cameras, we designed our drones with basic features and mid level product
enhancements, to produce a two point two star level product. Some of these specifications include
front and rear obstacle sensors, 6 rotors, and an 8 minute battery pack, etc. By producing only three
models of low quality drones, we were able to manufacture and sell our product at a lower cost. We
produced our drone for $460.85 and sold it for $1150 to $1550. Similar to our cameras, we invested in
research and development, longer warranties, and retailer support/recruitment. Furthermore, our
investment in our website product displays and info increased in all regions over the years as we
realized a rise in e commerce for UAV drones, and reacted in order to remain competitive. Our
business strategy and operations varied globally considerably more than it did for our entry level
cameras. Since we had the lowest market share in North America, we invested a large amount of our
marketing efforts in this region. However, consumers in this region were willing to pay more for our
product, and our profit margin was highest in this region (56.9%). Our investment in search engine
advertising was also significantly higher in this region because North Americans are highly engaged
with search engines. Buyers of UAV Drones in Latin America and the Asia Pacific regions are the

The cost of Apple s product differentiation acts as a barrier to entry, thus preventing the threats of new

highly price due to the high quality of products. Yet, new entrants usually will target on the market
towards customers with a lower price range as they are using market penetration pricing in order to

The Ethical Principles Of Ethics
Ethics is a crucial principle in human lives. It is necessary here to clarify exactly what is meant by
Ethics. The term ethics may be defined as a set of principles and concepts that guide people to
determine what behavior helps or harms sentient creatures (Paul Elder, 2006). Generally, in all nations
and cultures, parents always teach their children the importance of truthfulness, forgiveness and
honesty and all of that consider as parts of morality. Thus, in individual level, morality is significant,
therefore, in organizational level morality and integrity should be at the same level of importance.
It is generally believed that ethical policies are highly necessary in every organisation or association.
Research environment is one of the areas, which highly require some moral regulation and policy
especially in some developing countries. In this paper, the terms Research ethical regulations are used
to describe group of principles and policies that aim to regulate each step of research (Oates, et al.,
2010). The safety of all volunteers is one of the major concern in research ethics (Rawnsley, 2014).
This policy does not only aim to ensure that there is no physical harm to any participant, but also
intend to prevent the occurrence of any psychological effects for volunteers (Rawnsley, 2014).
Furthermore, the availability of such policy emboldens and keep the best ethical research practice
(Oates, et al., 2010). In addition to the previous point, this policy

Introduction
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a tasteless, odorless, and colorless toxic gas that is produced primarily as a
result of incomplete combustion of carbon material. Due to humans inability to perceive this gas CO it
is commonly referred to as silent killer. Inhalation of CO is the leading cause of accidental deaths in
the United States. Excluding deaths caused by fires, there are around 2,700 deaths as a result of carbon
monoxide poisoning annually. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that
around 450 deaths are caused by accidental CO toxicity every year. While the total number of deaths
seems low, an estimated 50,000 people in America visit the emergency hospital departments showing
signs of CO poisoning. Exposure to CO results ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It causes death by the CO binding rapidly to the haemoglobin (Hb) resulting in the
carboxyhemoglobin (COHb) formation. As a result, the blood s oxygen carrying capacity is reduced
leading to tissue hypoxia (Chand Meena, 2014). The presence of COHb changes the Hb s oxygen
affinity by altering oxyhemoglobin dissociation reducing the oxygen delivered to the tissues, leading
to tissue hypoxia. More importantly, other oxygen carrying hemeproteins such as cytochrome P 450,
myoglobin, and cytochrome c oxidase also compete with oxygen for binding sites (Caughey, 1970). It
has been demonstrated that cytochrome oxidase oxygen affinity causes impairment of mitochondrial
respiration. Even though the level of COHb is a vital clinical measure of carbon monoxide exposure,
the most crucial mechanism by which carbon monoxide causes toxicity is its combination with
cytochrome oxidase. In addition, carbon monoxide may produce toxicity by binding to myoglobin
causing impairment of the cardiac output and leading to cerebral ischemia. The dissociation of
carboxymyoglobin is slower compared to COHb because of CO s increased affinity for myoglobin

Panopticism Essay
In his essay Panopticism, Michel Foucault introduces the Panopticon structure as proof of modern
society tending toward efficient disciplinary mechanisms. Starting with his example of the strict,
intensely organized measures that are taken in a typical 17th century plague stricken town, Foucault
describes how the town employed constant surveillance techniques, centralized a hierarchy of
authorities to survey households, partitioned individual structures to impose certain behavior, and
record current information about each individual.
As society has progressed, Foucault explains, these practices have expanded into other institutions
such as hospitals, schools, prisons and asylums. Bentham s Panopticon embodies such disciplinary ...

The Panopticon functions as a kind of laboratory of power, Foucault declares; indeed, much
knowledge can be ascertained by penetra[ting] into men s behavior (379).
Foucault introduces the modern police force as an example of Panopticism. He explains that the
development of a more centralized police force in the late eighteenth century stemmed from the need
of sovereigns to maintain a sort of surveillance over all miniature details. With a mobilized, invisible
force stretched from even the most extreme limits , it becomes possible to extend constant supervision
to reach the most elementary particle (Foucault 386). The organization of the police became the
vehicle in which political power could keep a permanent, exhaustive, omnipresent gaze on the entire
population; a regular Panopticon for the city. Beyond duties of surveillance, the police would also
pursue and punish criminals, plotters, and opposition movements as a way to demonstrate the
consequences of bad conduct; fear would then keep the population as pure as possible and accustomed
... to order and obedience (Foucault 387).
As Foucault remarked, many disciplinary mechanisms and practices are still kept alive in today s
modern institutions. The Patriot Act is one example; one highly controversial provision of the act
allows the FBI to acquire personal records (such as email, documents, library records) for the purposes
of gathering

Positive Impacts Of The Crusades
The Crusades resulted in a more negative way. The Crusades resulted in a more negative way because,
many crusaders destroyed muslims property, and killed a lot of them. More reasons why the crusades
were more negative was because they killed a lot of people including many innocent people like
women and children. Crusaders also destroyed many buildings, synagogues and holy books, and Jews
were being attacked. The last thing is the crusaders did things they were not supposed to do. For
example they attacked other places when they were hired to do other things not including attacking
anything, so they lied and did the opposite of what they were going to do. So, in result with this many
people were angry and the crusades came out as more negative than positive.
The Crusades were a very harsh and gruesome wars between religions. This whole fight/war was all to
take back the Holy Land. There are many reasons why the results of the Crusades were so negative.
Document 4 states that Moreover, the assault of one christian people on another, when one of the goals
of the fourth crusade was reunion of the Greek and Latin churches, made a split between Greek and
Latin churches permanent . This basically states that they split up Greek and Latin churches from each

In my esoteric journey to figure out who I am and what my purpose is, I have noticed that I am

foreign shows. Though I was able to experience a taste of each culture, I always had a deep desire to

believe that my next step is to fully immerse myself in other cultures. Instead of looking within, I must

The term volcano can either mean the vent from which magma erupts to the surface, or it can refer to

Pelean eruptions are similar to vulcanian eruptions but have even more viscous lava; domes from over
the vents, and ash flows commonly accompany the dome fountais. Plinian eruptions, also known as
Vesuvian eruptions , are volcanic eruptions marked by their similarity to the eruption of Mount
Vesuvius in AD 79 (as described in a letter written by Pliny the Younger, and which killed his uncle
Pliny the Elder). Plinian eruptions are marked by columns of gas and volcanic ash extending high into
the stratosphere, a high layer of the atmosphere. The key characteristics are ejection of large amount
of pumice and very powerful continuous gas blast eruptions.

four quarters of decline during The Great Recession. Nominal GDP for 2009 rebounded to $14.418
trillion Q1: $14,381 trillion Q2: $14.342 trillion Q3: $14.384 trillion Q4: $14.564 trillion Or The Real
GDP for 2009 was 13,973.7
a. What does GDP tell us?
The gross domestic product (GDP) is one the primary indicators used to gauge the health of a country
s economy. It represents the total dollar value of all goods and services ... Show more content on

National income accounting records the level of activity in accounts such as total revenues earned by
domestic corporations, wages paid to foreign and domestic workers, and the amount spent on sales
and income taxes by corporations and individuals residing in the country.
h. What is the difference between GNP and NI? GNP measures the market value of all final goods and
services produced by a country s citizens or residents. The difference is subtle but important. GNP
excludes economic activity that occurs in the U.S. but is owned by foreigners and includes American
economic activity that occurs in other countries. GDP is place based whereas GNP is ownership based.
So, if a foreigner creates an Internet startup in Silicon Valley, this will count as GDP, but not GNP. If
General Electric opens a new plant in Poland, this investment will be included in GNP, but not GDP. i.
How did NI change from 2008? In 2008, the money value of GDP expands to $4,500m but during the
year, inflation is 3% causing the general index of prices to rise from a 2007 base year value of 100 to
103 in 2008.
j. What caused these changes? The financial crisis was created from the housing bubble and the
mortgage industry. Additionally, this caused a fall in national income, which lead growth in GDP in
negative territory. I changed

The Democratic And The Republican Parties Dominate...

Government 110
Political Ideology
The Democratic and the Republican parties dominate American politics. They are both different in
their philosophies and ideals. Political parties win elections, operate the government, and determine
public policy. They compete with each other for support of the voters over issues that have to do with
the economy, national security and individual liberties. Political parties determine and make the
important choices that affect our everyday lives. Democratic is liberal and left leaning, the symbol is a
donkey and the representing color is blue. Republican is conservative and right leaning, the symbol is
an elephant and the representing color is red. The three political topics that stick out to me the most
are abortion, gun control, and gay rights/marriage. The Democratic Party was founded on March 3rd,
1828. The founders of liberal democrats are Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. They became
recognized in the mid nineteenth century. Some popular current democrats would be President Barack
Hussein Obama, former senator and secretary of state Hillary Clinton, and former president Bill
Clinton. The word is a Greek origin meaning ruled by the people. Slave activists founded Republicans
on March 4th, 1854. Some popular republicans today are Ted Cruz (senator), Orrin Grant Hatch, and
John Boehner speaker of the house of reps. The word Republican originates from the middle French
meaning belonging to a republic. One

The exhibit is located at Texas State University, San Marcos and I visited on December 1st. The titles
of the work I chose was The Photographer, Getting Even, Carousel Bartender, Chandelier and Alex s
Music Room. The year this work was published was in 2003. The art shown is photographs in black
and white and is hand tinted with color oils. The subject of this art is to showcase events in everyday
life. By expressing it emotional and creativity by capturing the things many people wouldn t think that
are a realty Paint of the artwork is really has a lot of going on outside of the main attraction. In Alex s
music s room the first thing that captures your eyes is all the red in the painting and the violins, harper
and the cymbal on the floor. When you look closer into the painting you can see crazy details. Like the
lions laying around in the music room and the candles in the pieced looks as if it s a person not really
a candle. The decoration on the chandelier looks like there is really gems hanging in the art. In the art
piece Getting Even its isn t as detailed but it makes you wonder how did Schenck catch this moment
on his camera. The painting its taking place in some field of flowers. It s late at night and it looks like
a man is about to kill another person but the other human being is just standing there. I guess the
person is getting even by homicide since that s the name of the painting. The painting doesn t really
focus on the people in it. It focusses more on the scenery because its more emphasized in the painting.
The people are more a shadow and in the background I would say. My favorite painting out of the five
would have to the be the Carousel Bartender you can see it in my expression. When I was looking at
the art this was the first painting that caught my attention. The lights caught my attention since its

Critical Analysis Of Walt Whitman s Death Of Abraham Lincoln
In his essay Death of Abraham Lincoln , Walt Whitman recalls the first time he ever saw the future
president elect when Lincoln silently passed through New York City on his way to Washington D. C.
Then Whitman remarks on the rapid succession of the well known, recent, and still yet painful events
of the Civil War. The strata of session sympathizers, the assassination of Lincoln at Ford s theatre by
John Wilkes Booth five days after the end of the Civil War, and the effect Lincoln s death will forever
have on our nation. Walt Whitman was an American poet, essayist and journalist in addition to
publishing his poetry was a volunteer nurse during the American Civil War. The Civil war lasted from
1861 to 1865 and was the result of four ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My Captain! Our fearful trip is done; The ship has weather d every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port Is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting, While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel
grim and daring... Now in this essay Whitman compares Lincoln to the famous Captain Odyssesus the
Greek hero of the Trojan War (which coincides with end of the Bronze Age) of Homer s Odyssey,
Book XII, when he says the dreaded Scylla of European interference, In Greek mythology a monster
that lived on one side of a narrow channel of water... , and the Charybdis, ...opposite (Scylla s)
counterpart. of the tremendously dangerous latent strata of secession sympathizers throughout the free
States (447). The idiom, between Scylla and Charybdis has come to mean being between two dangers,
choosing either of which brings harm, known to us today as between a rock and a hard place. The
Odyssey is a major ancient Greek epic poem, a sequel to the Illiad, the oldest extant work of Western
literature composed near the end of the eighth century BC. The poem is fundamental to shaping

  • 2. Accident Report Involving Human Errors NTSB Accident Report Involving Human Errors Abstract The American Airlines Flight 1420 fatal accident is reported as a runway overrun accident. The NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) investigated the accident on what would result in the accident. This work s basic objective is to put emphasis on the human aspects that resulted in the accident by applying the Human Factor Analysis and Classification System (HFCAS). It also incorporates the Swiss Chess approach to link the series of events that eventually became the set of events that triggered the accident. NTSB applied the HFCAS in the analysis of the human factors in the flight, and it was enlightening to see that it proved on how the fatal even occurred. The HFACS synergized with the Swiss Chess illustrates the manner in which one occurrence resonates to the other. Also, the model revealed that the resources and regulations of the company after inadequate monitoring, combined with the prevalent weather conditions and fatigued flight crew instigated unsafe actions. • 12. The Influence Of Tax Credits The Influence of Tax Credits The impetus behind the tax credits appears to be two fold. As taxpayers work to improve energy efficiency, decreasing usage, and lessening the environmental impact of their daily activities, they may receive financial rewards based on their actions. The offer of tax credits is an attempt to achieve a certain behavior from the consumer. However, two important things must take place before the consumer takes action. First, the consumer must be aware that a tax credit is available. Sales are highly publicized, but publicity relating to tax credits is limited. Once the consumer is made aware of a tax credit, they must view the tax credit as a reduction in price, but a tax credit is much more complicated with several caveats. Environmental tax credits offered by various levels of government are extremely popular with both the governing bodies and those who benefit from the credits. Government is seen as taking a positive step not only towards improving the environment, but reducing the United States dependency on fuel from other countries which in turn allows for greater security. Tax credits allow the individual or business to decide how to spend their money and the financial benefit of a particular behavior. The financial benefit may be in the form of reduced operating costs or taxes. However a closer look at eco friendly tax credits for the individual consumer points to a class discrepancy. Since my early days as a student, things have changed a lot; from the mostly handwritten way of writing, being attentive to good calligraphy, and paper neatness, to using typewriters to have more consistent and presentable results. Then, there was the time of the early computer word processors that, nevertheless, brought new resources to the average writer. Writing was mostly an individual experience, generally limited to essays, term papers and interpersonal correspondence, but that has changed a lot since the advent of the internet. Through the eyes of two daughters, Dee and Maggie, who have chosen to live their lives in very different manners, the reader can choose which character to identify most with by judging what is really important in one s life. Throughout the story three themes consistently show. These themes show that the family is separated by shame, knowledge, and pride. Maggie is mostly saying Uhnnnh if anything at all throughout the whole story. Mama portrays Maggie as a girl who will stand hopelessly... homely and ashamed of the burn scars down her arms and legs from the fire, and who feels inferior to Dee (Walker 86). These burns and scars that Maggie has may be the reason of her lack of knowledge simply because she was ashamed to be in the learning atmosphere. Dee, unlike Maggie, is very brilliant. There seems to be some tension and or jealousy of how smart Dee is. Mama and Maggie used to listen to Dee read to them while they where trapped sitting there ignorantly. Mama said it was knowledge they didn t need to know. She also said that she often fought off the urge to shake her. Since Mama didn t get a chance to go to school, she feels inferior to Dee s skill of knowledge. Mama s tension is because she didn t get a chance to learn as much as Dee has (Walker 87 88). Pride is the theme that seems to separate this family the most. It s having pride versus not having it. Maggie doesn t have it. She does not speak for herself when Dee wants the quilts. She lets mama speak for her. Like a scalded dog, she hides behind Mama when Dee arrives. Mama compares Maggie to a Lame animal...run over by a car... (Walker 88). • 27. Looking For Work By Gary Soto Summary An Analysis of a Young Boy s Subconscious Although it may not seem like it, we all have witnessed this experience: think one thing, and do another. For some reason or another we have a subconscious separation between our desires and needs. While we think we might want something, our subconscious is in the background dictating our actions behind those desires. Such is the human mind so silently conceited. This is especially true of young children, for example, more often than not asking a child why they preformed an action you ll most likely get the age old, I don t know . While it is not always a function that ends with a positive conclusion, it most certainly does in Gary Soto s Looking For Work. Mr. Soto s narrative starts with him ... Soto then proceeds to do another job for which he is rewarded with a whole quarter and two peaches that he proceeds to eat rather sloppily in the alley behind his house. As he finished the last one, his friend Little John comes by. It was a blistering hot day so Little John suggested that they head to Roosevelt High School so that they could take a swim to cool off. The problem was that Little John was short five cents, but Soto quickly lent him his nickel. They began to board the bike, when Soto s little sister came around a corner crying because she couldn t go. Now Soto, being the wonderful brother that he is, waved her to climb on to the bike. All three of them proceeded to spend the rest of the day swimming under the hot afternoon sun until their skin darkened. The previous is an example of how you may begin with one idea in mind, and end with a totally different one, seemingly without even being aware of your original intentions. Soto wanted the money to appear rich in the eyes of those around him, namely the white neighbors that never seemed to like him. • 32. The Ethical Principles Of Ethics Ethics is a crucial principle in human lives. It is necessary here to clarify exactly what is meant by Ethics. The term ethics may be defined as a set of principles and concepts that guide people to determine what behavior helps or harms sentient creatures (Paul Elder, 2006). Generally, in all nations and cultures, parents always teach their children the importance of truthfulness, forgiveness and honesty and all of that consider as parts of morality. Thus, in individual level, morality is significant, therefore, in organizational level morality and integrity should be at the same level of importance. It is generally believed that ethical policies are highly necessary in every organisation or association. Research environment is one of the areas, which highly require some moral regulation and policy especially in some developing countries. In this paper, the terms Research ethical regulations are used to describe group of principles and policies that aim to regulate each step of research (Oates, et al., 2010). The safety of all volunteers is one of the major concern in research ethics (Rawnsley, 2014). This policy does not only aim to ensure that there is no physical harm to any participant, but also intend to prevent the occurrence of any psychological effects for volunteers (Rawnsley, 2014). Furthermore, the availability of such policy emboldens and keep the best ethical research practice (Oates, et al., 2010). In addition to the previous point, this policy ... Due to humans inability to perceive this gas CO it is commonly referred to as silent killer. Inhalation of CO is the leading cause of accidental deaths in the United States. Excluding deaths caused by fires, there are around 2,700 deaths as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning annually. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that around 450 deaths are caused by accidental CO toxicity every year. While the total number of deaths seems low, an estimated 50,000 people in America visit the emergency hospital departments showing signs of CO poisoning. Exposure to CO results ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It causes death by the CO binding rapidly to the haemoglobin (Hb) resulting in the carboxyhemoglobin (COHb) formation. As a result, the blood s oxygen carrying capacity is reduced leading to tissue hypoxia (Chand Meena, 2014). The presence of COHb changes the Hb s oxygen affinity by altering oxyhemoglobin dissociation reducing the oxygen delivered to the tissues, leading to tissue hypoxia. More importantly, other oxygen carrying hemeproteins such as cytochrome P 450, myoglobin, and cytochrome c oxidase also compete with oxygen for binding sites (Caughey, 1970). It has been demonstrated that cytochrome oxidase oxygen affinity causes impairment of mitochondrial respiration. Even though the level of COHb is a vital clinical measure of carbon monoxide exposure, the most crucial mechanism by which carbon monoxide causes toxicity is its combination with cytochrome oxidase. In addition, carbon monoxide may produce toxicity by binding to myoglobin causing impairment of the cardiac output and leading to cerebral ischemia. The dissociation of carboxymyoglobin is slower compared to COHb because of CO s increased affinity for myoglobin (Myers, Linberg, Cowley, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Starting with his example of the strict, intensely organized measures that are taken in a typical 17th century plague stricken town, Foucault describes how the town employed constant surveillance techniques, centralized a hierarchy of authorities to survey households, partitioned individual structures to impose certain behavior, and record current information about each individual. As society has progressed, Foucault explains, these practices have expanded into other institutions such as hospitals, schools, prisons and asylums. The Panopticon functions as a kind of laboratory of power, Foucault declares; indeed, much knowledge can be ascertained by penetra[ting] into men s behavior (379). Foucault introduces the modern police force as an example of Panopticism. He explains that the development of a more centralized police force in the late eighteenth century stemmed from the need of sovereigns to maintain a sort of surveillance over all miniature details. With a mobilized, invisible force stretched from even the most extreme limits , it becomes possible to extend constant supervision to reach the most elementary particle (Foucault 386). The organization of the police became the vehicle in which political power could keep a permanent, exhaustive, omnipresent gaze on the entire population; a regular Panopticon for the city. Beyond duties of surveillance, the police would also pursue and punish criminals, plotters, and opposition movements as a way to demonstrate the consequences of bad conduct; fear would then keep the population as pure as possible and accustomed ... to order and obedience (Foucault 387). The Crusades resulted in a more negative way because, many crusaders destroyed muslims property, and killed a lot of them. More reasons why the crusades were more negative was because they killed a lot of people including many innocent people like women and children. Crusaders also destroyed many buildings, synagogues and holy books, and Jews were being attacked. The last thing is the crusaders did things they were not supposed to do. For example they attacked other places when they were hired to do other things not including attacking anything, so they lied and did the opposite of what they were going to do. So, in result with this many people were angry and the crusades came out as more negative than positive. The Crusades were a very harsh and gruesome wars between religions. They are both different in their philosophies and ideals. Political parties win elections, operate the government, and determine public policy. They compete with each other for support of the voters over issues that have to do with the economy, national security and individual liberties. Political parties determine and make the important choices that affect our everyday lives. Democratic is liberal and left leaning, the symbol is a donkey and the representing color is blue. Republican is conservative and right leaning, the symbol is an elephant and the representing color is red. The three political topics that stick out to me the most are abortion, gun control, and gay rights/marriage. The Democratic Party was founded on March 3rd, 1828. The founders of liberal democrats are Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. They became recognized in the mid nineteenth century. Some popular current democrats would be President Barack Hussein Obama, former senator and secretary of state Hillary Clinton, and former president Bill Clinton. The titles of the work I chose was The Photographer, Getting Even, Carousel Bartender, Chandelier and Alex s Music Room. The year this work was published was in 2003. The art shown is photographs in black and white and is hand tinted with color oils. The subject of this art is to showcase events in everyday life. By expressing it emotional and creativity by capturing the things many people wouldn t think that are a realty Paint of the artwork is really has a lot of going on outside of the main attraction. In Alex s music s room the first thing that captures your eyes is all the red in the painting and the violins, harper and the cymbal on the floor. When you look closer into the painting you can see crazy details. Like the lions laying around in the music room and the candles in the pieced looks as if it s a person not really a candle. The decoration on the chandelier looks like there is really gems hanging in the art. In the art piece Getting Even its isn t as detailed but it makes you wonder how did Schenck catch this moment on his camera. The painting its taking place in some field of flowers. It s late at night and it looks like a man is about to kill another person but the other human being is just standing there. I guess the person is getting even by homicide since that s the name of the painting. The painting doesn t really focus on the people in it. It focusses more on the scenery because its more emphasized in the painting. The people are more a shadow and in the background I would say. My favorite painting out of the five would have to the be the Carousel Bartender you can see it in my expression. When I was looking at the art this was the first painting that caught my attention. The lights caught my attention since its almost ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
