The Maori, culturally Polynesians, are the indigenous inhabitants of New Zealand. The people who
call themselves the Maori are originally from the Polynesian islands and settled in New Zealand
around the 13th century. The tribes of the Maori did not identify themselves by a collective name
until European settlers arrived and then the use of the name Maori, which means ordinary came
into use. The Maori today make up about 15% (565,329 people) of New Zealand s population
with the majority living in urban area, while there are still few who live in the ancestral tribal
areas. Many also live overseas with 70,000 in Australia and 10,000 in England.
Around 1300 AD, a great migration of people set sail for what is now New Zealand. These

The Ancient Aztecs Complex and Advanced Civilization. The Aztecs were a civilization that
emerged in Mesoamerica around the start of the thirteenth century and existed until 1521 CE. The
Aztecs had their own system of government, a very complex religion, and sports and games were
very important to the civilization. The Aztecs were a civilization that was complex as well as very
advanced in many different areas of their civilization such as their government, religion, and sports.

Aztec government was similar to a monarchy where an Emperor or King was the primary ruler

My Own First Aid Kit
When I was young, many of the neighborhood kids and I would enjoy playing outside. Whether it
was sports, ride bikes, or roller skate, the activities we partook in always involved physical
activity and thus, a higher risk of getting hurt. When such an incident occurred, which was quite
often, we would at times not be able to do much about it since most of our parents worked. We
would rely on them for first aid but when they were gone all of us would not know how to handle
