The Relationship Between Taxation And Technological...
Introduction
Profits should be taxed where economic activities deriving the profits are performed and where value
is created 1. The relationship between taxation and technological developments have always been
dynamic and complex. The internet represents the greatest technological revolution since the industrial
revolution. Data show that there is approximately $xxx billion trade occurring through e commerce,
with xxx billion internet users and xx billion domain names as of 20142 and this number keeps
changing every second. This paper takes a look at the current tax issues relating to e commerce and
profit shifting and also the new OECD framework aimed at addressing these challenges.
Tax Issues
Governments and tax authorities face the same problems whilst trying to tax digital or online
businesses: what is the appropriate nexus that permits the application of tax jurisdiction over cross
border sales?
Concerns have been expressed that e commerce could result in base erosion and profit shifting
[BEPS]. Consumption taxes are levied on the principle of taxation at the place of consumption and
according to rates set in individual country or state. E commerce, however, has the potential to
undermine the application of domestic and national tax rules. Tax planning for an e business differs
from tax planning for a traditional bricks and mortar company. In the past, generation of income
depended on the physical presence of assets and activities. This physical presence, permanent

The Pros And Cons Of Fast Food Restaurants
The three friends Steben, Derrick, and Gunther Blackwell all knew that they were in trouble. They
prank called all of the fast food restaurants in town. The three acquaintances called Arby s McDonald
s and every other fast food place they could think of. Can I get uhhhhh boneless ice cube with a side
of salt and a two liter Coke. said Steben holding in all of the laughter.
Sir, we do not serve boneless ice, but you can order from the Mc Pick 2 menu for only $5! explained
Jeff, the McDonald s worker.
No thank you, but my friend would like to have an order of Two chicken sandwiches and a fidget
spinner for the toy on the side. he chuckled.
Sir, we also do not serve chicken sandwiches and we do not have fidget spinners! he grumbled with a
deep sigh afterwards.
Ok, I will have two number nines and a number nine large with a chilli dog on the side and a hog rider
toy at the end. said Steben with a red face just barely holding in all of his laughter.
You know what, I quit this job! ,he squealed, I am also going to track this number down and get the
police on you immature and childish kids!
Jeff could hear them all burst out laughing and he was outraged. He went ballistic after hearing them
all laugh. He felt as if he was in the African savannah with a Cackle of hyenas.
The three friends quickly hung up the phone letting out all of the laughter they had built up from the
prank call. Steben could not believe what they had just done. He was dying of laughter

Robert Frost s Home Burial
In Home Burial, Robert Frost uses language and imagery to show how differently a man and a women
deal with grief. The poem not only describes the grief the two feel for the loss of their child but also
the impending death of a marriage. Frost shows this by using a dramatic style set in New England. In
his narrative poem, Frost starts a tense conversation between the man and the wife whose first child
had died recently. Not only is there dissonance between the couple, but also a major communication
conflict between the husband and the wife. As the poem opens, the wife is standing at the top of a
staircase looking at her child s grave through the window. Her husband is at the bottom of the stairs (
He saw her from the bottom of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Looking at lines 3 9 you are able to see that the wife looks at her world through eyes of fear:
Looking back over her shoulder at some fear.
She took a doubtful step and then undid it
To raise herself and look again...
And her face changed from terrified to dull. (l. 3 9)
Even though the wife may feel that her husband does not understand her grief, he does try to reach out
to her. He implores her, Help me, then (l.46). He knows that he has a difficult time communicating
with her and observes:
My words are nearly always an offence. I don t know how to speak of anything. So as to please you.
But I might be taught. I should suppose. I can t say I see how. A man must partly give up being a man.
With women folk. (l.48 53) The husband acknowledges that she is grieving and asks her, Let me into
your grief (l.62). He pleads with her, Give me my chance (l.64). He asks for help in such a way that
his wife pushes him away again. She throws the accusation at him, There you go sneering now! (l.70).
This starts a second argument between the two. The argument now is whether the husband can grieve
for the child, in the way that he is allowed without society looking down on him? The husband wants
the world to know that he is hurting too, but how can he do this? The husband was never taught to
grieve, so he is in the process of learning how to do this. The wife does not

Group Treatment For PTSD
While America still wages war on terrorism the effects of these wars are very costly. Many Americans
are still coming home with mild or severe cases of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Also, there
are many ways to treat PTSD and groups are highly considered for treatment for PTSD. For example,
according, to Sloan, Bovin, Schnurr (2012) Group treatments for PTSD are assumed to involve a
number of mechanisms that offer benefit beyond those provided by the individual therapy format.
First, patients with PTSD are often socially isolated and have difficulty trusting others (p. 690). They

socially connected with others and offers the opportunity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Researchers have the opportunity to support a breadth of populations by guiding practitioners in the
optimal construction and delivery of group therapy (p. 196).
Logistics is a challenge in all facets of group therapy and with groups it is cost effective to run groups.
For example. Christensen Feeney (2016) state, Despite the importance of group therapy research, new
researchers in the field might be overwhelmed by the logistics of studying such complex interpersonal
processes. Specifically, it is challenging to theoretically conceptualize and statistically analyze
interpersonal perceptions within group therapy (p. 196).
Subsequently they go on saying, Understanding these interpersonal perceptions requires the formal
recognition that a given perception is nested within a dyad that is nested within a group. Thankfully,
the social relations model (SRM; Kenny, 1994) provides group researchers with both a theory and an
analytic structure for understanding interpersonal perceptions (p.

Healthcare Coverage Is Not Affordable
Vibina Koruth
English 3
Mr. Tracy
6 March 2015
Junior Thesis Did you know that healthcare coverage is not affordable to everyone that lives in the
United States? For most people affordable healthcare is not exactly affordable anymore which has
eventually left them no alternative but to not carry health insurance coverage. Individuals that do not
carry health insurance coverage will open themselves up for massive health bills if they get sick, but at
this point those bills look more affordable than the cost of health insurance coverage. All the signs
point to the expensiveness of healthcare coverage and that most individuals cannot afford to get it
especially if their income revenue stream isn t very high. Mortgages, utility bills, possibly car
insurance, social security, loan payments and various other types of bills could leave most individuals,
depending on the financial situation, with not much money left to pay for the health insurance. The
absence of healthcare coverage in the United States exemplifies the financial hardships for families in
America.
One of the key aspects that lead to the financial hardships of Americans when it comes to healthcare
coverage is the expensiveness of the coverage. The expensiveness of the coverage can be attributed to
quite a few factors that directly and indirectly raise the cost. The number and type of technology used
in hospitals, clinics, and other medical institutions absolutely affect the rising cost in healthcare (Ferlie

Personal Finance Midterm Analysis
Personal Finance Midterm
Having financial goals is very important. I personally have three goals that are important to me.
Following a budget is something I want to follow for the rest of my life. I think it is important to have
a budget so you can manage and control the money you spend. Right now, I don t have very much to
budget, but soon I will be taking loans out for school and hopefully getting a stable job. To complete
this goal, I plan on making a budget each month and stick with it. Another financial goal of mine is to
start an emergency fund. I chose this goal because I think it is important to be ready for anything. In
my case I would want around two thousand dollars in mine. For this to happen I must budget out
money each month and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I keep track of everything I buy and make sure it is necessary. Something my friend does is spend less
than she earns. I think this strategy is smart because if you always spend less than you earn you will
always have some money left over, hopefully if I start now by doing this I will have good spending
habits down the road.
My ideal job is to become a registered nurse. I like the idea of becoming a nurse because it means I
get to do one of my favorite things which is help people. The world will always need nurses and
doctors so with a nursing degree I will always have a place to work. A registered nurse makes around
60,000 a year. To achieve this I, must continue going to school and start focusing on classes that will
help me in this career field. Something else that I want to do is an internship program at a hospital or
something so I can get a feel on what it s like to be an actual nurse.
My credit score is basically none existent right now because I don t have any credit cards or loans out
right now. But in the future, I plan on having good credit for the rest of my life. I m going to have
good credit because I know what needs to be done. I am going to pay my bills and credit cards on
time. Another thing I am going to do once I get a credit card is keep the balance on it

Essay about Analysis of Beethoven Symphony 3 and Mozart...
Beethoven Symphony No. 3 and Mozart Symphony 40 Forms
Sonata form is one of the more popular forms of music that is found in a variety of different works
including symphonies, concertos, and sonatas. Sonata form features three distinct sections: the
exposition, development, and recapitulation. Mozart was one of the early composers of this form of
music. I will examine the clear distinctions between each section and how he does not stray from the
typical form. In later years the form would change to become more fluent and focused on the growth
and expansion of the piece. This progression of change was led by the works of Beethoven and the
changes can be clearly seen in his grandiose works. By comparing the first movement of Symphony ...

The recapitulation is much like the exposition, except it does not modulate. All of these sections can
be seen in the Mozart and Beethoven movements that are being analyzed and relatively easy to
identify. In the Mozart symphony, sections defined by strong cadences. An easy example would be at
the end of the exposition where there is a PAC in ms. 99. Following that is a rest and then an
appearance of F sharp minor. This is the beginning of the development. The end of the development
ends with a huge forte with a pedal tone and a cadence at ms. 160. The wind section quietly brings the
section to a close as the strings reintroduce the primary theme back in the original key of G minor.
These large sections are not likely to be mistaken. Beethoven too has clearly defined the large sections
of the sonata form. His exposition begins after two opening chords with the theme in the cello section.
The exposition closes with full orchestral chords in a perfect authentic cadence around ms. 144 148
and after a short link/transition the development begins at ms. 166. The development closes with huge
orchestral chords. The big pictures for Mozart and Beethoven line up, but a closer and deeper look
reveal that the small sections are quite different. Mozart s smaller sections continue to remain clearly
defined, but Beethoven tends to blur it all together. In a typical exposition, we expect to find

British s Government s Intervention during the Great Irish...
The Great Irish Famine happened during the mid 19th century, and was caused by potato blight, which
hit Ireland in 1845 (Grada, Ireland s Great Famine 43). It destroyed a big portion of crops so it became
lethal due to the fact that Ireland was very dependent on potatoes in their everyday meals (Grada,
Ireland s Great Famine 43). This led to a scarce amount of food and many died from starvation, or
other diseases that resulted from the famine (Grada, Ireland s Great Famine 51). In the 1800s, Ireland
had already lost their own parliament, so all legislative and executive power was therefore centralized
at Westminster, which meant the UK parliament of the British government was responsible for Irish
relief in their time of need, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The British government opened soup kitchens to distribute free food (Kinealy, Death Dealing Famine
9). She stated that this intervention directly addressed the problem of starvation, and many people,
over three million, were fed on a daily basis (Kinealy, Death Dealing Famine 9). Although the soup
kitchens did provide free food, the government was unable to sustain that aid, because it only lasted
for a very brief period of time (Kinealy, Death Dealing Famine 9). Therefore, the aid did not last long
enough for it to be considered an improvement on social conditions in Ireland. Also, we must consider
that the government stopped previous relief works before they opened the soup kitchens. According to
Mary E. Daly, relief works were closed in March, and soup kitchens were opened in May (Daly 133).
In that gap, many people suffered and died from starvation, since they lacked any relief from the
government (Ferriter 15). This government intervention was poorly planned and did not improve the
social conditions in Ireland. Although the soup kitchens did eventually feed a large amount of people,
it must be taken into account the just as great amount of people that died, due to the lack in planning
on the government s part, by terminating relief projects before instating another. In addition, the food
provided by the soup kitchen were of low nutritional value (Kinealy, Death Dealing Famine 9).

Origins Of Sexual Orientation
One of many debatable topics nationwide today are the origins of sexual orientation. According to the
Planned Parenthood Federation of America, a leading sexual and reproductive health care advocate
and provider, sexual orientation is the gender(s) someone is sexually and/or romantically attracted to
(What is Sexual Orientation?). Society classifies people who only seek the opposite sex as
heterosexuals and those who adore the same sex, as homosexuals. But what comes to your mind when
you think of the reason for their preference(s)? Do you think that people are influenced by society

He also includes adopted brothers into the study to prove that although influences play a supporting

adoptive brothers of gay men were also gay (150). This previous study contributes to Gladue s

Love, an unrelenting potency, which has an impetuous cogency on one s will to act, leading them to
the peak of incertitude, and educing one s neurosis. This is the very ecstasy of love (2.1.101).
Literature throughout the ages has allegorized love in many antithetic contexts, whether it be: dear
benevolence or quixotic love to amorous romance. Love can be descried, as the inception of perturbed
emotions, and inconceivable incentives. However, it is not egregious in literature to delineate of the
dismal satire of love. Be it love for another person; for satisfaction; or one s aptitude and self fortitude,
this stimulus can motivate one to achieve even the most insurmountable of things. For instance, in

Generic And Name Brand Drugs
While recent advancements in modern medicine have turned it into a field of competition between
generic and name brand drugs, these drugs show very slight differences in ability while they have a
large difference in price. The FDA is in charge of overseeing the creation of these generic and name
brand drugs. Too much diversity in their results is unacceptable to FDA so they keep a close watch on
the makeup and effectiveness of the drugs and how they impact the human body. Along with the
differences in their chemical makeups shown by the results of each drug there are the social issues that
accompany the name brand and marketed drugs vs. the generic drugs which are never advertised and
only sold. The idea that and almost identical product ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both of those companies were under another company called boots who, up until 1986, held the patent
rights to ibuprofen. After 1986 many generic brand labels began to produce ibuprofen. The rise in
generic ibuprofen completely shut out all but one of the name brand producers of ibuprofen as shown
by the disappearance of Nuprin. Generic drugs have destroyed the market for name brand drugs by
being cheaper and just as efficient When a generic drug product is approved, it has met rigorous
standards established by the FDA with respect to identity, strength, quality, purity, and potency.
However, some variability can and does occur during manufacturing, for both brand name and generic
drugs. When a drug, generic or brand name, is mass produced, very small variations in purity, size,
strength, and other parameters are permitted. FDA limits how much variability is acceptable (FDA).
This lack in difference of quality has allowed generic drugs to out sell many name brand drugs since
people understand that what they are buying are practically the same thing so why would they buy
anything more expensive. Generic manufacturers are able to sell their products for lower prices
because they are not required to repeat the costly clinical trials of new drugs and generally do not pay
for costly advertising, marketing, and promotion. In addition, multiple generic companies are often
approved to market a single product; this creates competition in the market place,

Kauai Life In The 1800s
As the oldest island in Hawaii, Kauai has a wealth of history. Over the years, it has gone from ancient
battlefields to a modern economy. First inhabited around 200 to 600 AD, the original settlers most
likely reached Kauai from the Marquesas Islands nearly 2,000 miles away. Since these early
immigrants arrived, an estimated 1,000 of the 1,300 species on Kauai have gone extinct. Centuries
later, the Tahitians arrived and took over the island from the shorter Marquesans.
The Arrival of James Cook
Over the next few centuries, the Tahitians created a civilized society with a strong culture, religion and
laws. Wailua was set up as a sacred birthing ground for the royal family due to its sacredness to the
society. The early of the traditions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

natives was slowly destroyed.
Kauai Experiences an Economic Boom
As Westerners arrived, Kauai quickly became a leading sugar producer. In Koloa Town, a sugar mill
helped to drive this economic boom. Quickly, other entrepreneurs followed suit to create sugar
plantations. They brought in immigrants from across the world to boost the workforce. These new
immigrants gave rise to the unique blend of cultures that exist within Kauai today.
For a brief time period, sugar and pineapple production comprised a large part of the economy. As
these industries fell, tourism became increasingly popular. Ultimately, Kauai lost its constitutional
monarchy in 1893. A group of foreigners conspired to end the Kingdom of Hawaii because the
constitution that was being amended was not in their best interests. Following a revolution, Hawaii
became a United States territory in the 1900s. Later on, it joined the United States as a state in

Orson Welles’s Citizen Kane (1941) and Akira Kurosawa’s...
Introduction:
At first glance, Citizen Kane and Rashomon seem structurally similar to each other and as well each
explores the concept of truth. They both use multiple narratives to tell their stories; however, the idea
of truth is handled differently in each.
Citizen Kane is a fictionalized documentary about the life of wealthy newspaperman Charles Kane. In
Rashomon, while each narration widens understanding of the motivations of the narrators of the event,
only one of the varying accounts is factual.
Theme:
The central theme of Citizen Kane is exploring a person s life after his death. It talks about a person
and what does audience thinks of that person. This film also analyzes the American Dream of
Happiness.
The theme of Rashomon is Humanity and Reality of the world, that is, different kind of people living
in the world. It also talks about self image. We see or want to see things (or reality) in a way which
suits us and which gives better image of ourselves. There is one more theme which comes in a subtle
way, Metaphysical theme, above or beyond the physical world that is, God and Spiritual world.
Focus:
Citizen Kane focuses on the characterizing of a person. Through reporter Thompson, we are taken on
a journey in which we meet a variety of people, all of whom have something to offer us about Kane s
life, though none can give his entire story. It throws question on us whether Kane is what others say or

Narrative Essay About Moving To Canada
As I walked to the parking lot where my mom had arrived to pick me up from school, my sister ran
out of the car, ran towards me and yelled excitedly, We re going to Canada! Having grown up in
Kuwait for my whole life of 15 years, I could hardly believe my sister s words. Going to Canada! I
had only been out of the country twice, each time just to vacation and visit family in the Philippines
where both my parents are from. I had always imagined what life would be like outside of Kuwait,
and now it was finally going to be real. My 15 year old self was devastated We were leaving the only
home I had known for 15 years. It did not take long for my sisters excitement to die when we realized
that we would be leaving our friends and everything we ve ever known and not returning for a long
time. Life in Kuwait for 15 years was comfortable and we were more than financially stable. Moving
to Canada without a job offer in place meant that we would have to start from the beginning all over
again. Goodbyes were hard but my parents encouraged us to see the joys of moving to a place where
we could start over and become accepted citizens of a country. Arriving in Canada, I experienced the
biggest culture shock of my life. Vancouver, BC was cold, wet, and loud. I had thought adjusting
would be relatively easy; I spoke English with a slight accent but I was very shy that it confused some
of the other kids to think I couldn t speak English. I did not understand the culture, which took a

Examining Genetic and Environmental Effects on Reactive Versus Proactive Aggression
Introduction Prior to this study, no other research had studied the genetic and environmental
influences on reactive and proactive aggression. The purpose of this study was to explain how much
genes and (shared and non shared) environmental factors each contribute to aggression, specifically
proactive and reactive. Once a positive correlation between the two types of aggression was
determined, a sub purpose was to find out if any correlation was due to another common factor, such
as physical aggression. And, which factors are unique to proactive aggression and which are unique to
reactive aggression. The article defines proactive aggression, or ... Show more content on

However, there should also be non overlapping/non correlated factors contributing as well, as reactive
and proactive aggression have different predictors, associations and temperamental and physiological
correlates . With these new developments, the researchers carried out a separate test, recalculating a
correlation factoring in the possible overlap of physical aggression.
Methods
Sample. The participants of this study were 6 year olds (N= 72.7 months) selected from another
current study, the Quebec Newborn Twin longitudinal Study. They initially enrolled 648 pairs of twins
but the final sample size was 172 twins (55 monozygotic girls, 48 monozygotic boys, 33 dizygotic
girls, and 36 dizygotic boys) after excluding data from different sex twins and twins who were in the
same class (which might indicate exaggerated similarities between the twins if rated by the same
teacher). The children s reactive and proactive aggression levels were measured using Dodge and Coie
s (1987) assessment, using informant reporting. The informant was the childrens kindergarten teacher
during the spring (enough time for the teacher to get to know the child) in his/her preferred language
(either English or French; translated twice and approved by binglingual judges). The children s
physical aggression was measured using the Preschool Behavior Questionnaire developed by Behar

This process can be viewed in the form of a funnel, where a large number of varied ideas and concepts
can be trimmed down to few of those concepts and ideas that best meet the requirements of the

process, leading to revolution described as Open Innovation by Chesbrough (2003). This open
innovation model is a more dynamic model when compared the traditional model as there is much
more interaction between knowledge assets outside the company as well as inside. Henry Chesbrough

defines open innovation as a concept in which companies must use ideas from inside as well as

The Colonies Of The United States
Captains of these ships were known to throw the sick who can possible get aid when reaching the new
world overboard in order to prevent the spread of epidemics. Small proportion of slaves were
designated for mainland North America. The other majority of slaves landed in Brazil or the West
Indies, where the high death rate on the sugar plantations led to a constant demand for new slave
imports. This was a cycle which had led many slave to their deaths so the higher ups can make a pretty
penny. In the eighteenth century, the numbers of slaves increased steadily. Overall the area that was to
become the United States imported between 400,000 and 600,000 slaves. By 1770, due to the natural
reproduction of the slave s population, around one fifth of the estimated 2.3 million persons living in
the English colonies of North America were Africans and their descendants. (136). The three distinct
slave system was formed because of the growing numbers there are known as the tobacco based
plantation slavery in Chesapeake, rice based plantations slavery in South Carolina and Georgia, and
non plantation slavery in new England and the Middle Colonies. Doing all this they were supplying
countries with valuable agricultural product, while importing large amounts of British goods, and were
closely linked in culture and political values to London. As we have seen, the period after 1680
displayed a rapid shift from indentured servitude to slavery on the region s tobacco

Relationship Between Relationships And Family Structures
Relationships can either be monogamous or non monogamous in nature and its definitions and
functions can vary. A monogamous relationship is traditionally characterised by two individuals who
have dependent children or also as a nuclear family. Monogamy is a hetero normative practice that
involves two individuals in a relationship; the couple is not engaged in extramarital intimacy. Nuclear
families also fall under this practice. Polyamory is a non monogamous practice that refers to multiple
intimate partners and experiences. However, some scholars argue that if, or when one individual
engages in infidelity, Polyamory is a viable option to sustain the relationship. Academic research
positions Polyamory as an option that may successfully ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
underpins marriage in many Western and some non Western countries. Scholars have continued to
argue the success of monogamous relationships. Harville Hendrix (1990) explains that monogamy is a
healing practice. Partners in monogamous relationships go through many stages and struggles as a
committed couple. Through struggle, partners act as healers that help to work through each other s
suffering (Hendrix 1990). Hendrix (1990) believes individuals choose their partners to work through
the pain together and help them grow through life. Monogamous marriage is a spiritual path to
happiness and commitment between two individuals (Hendrix 1990). A committed relationship
requires monogamy, and Hendrix (1990) contends that healthy and spiritual commitments encourage
the sustainability of monogamous relationships. Although Hendrix (1990) contends that monogamy is
an effective practice, research has largely built a case around the consequences of monogamous
relationships.
Debates have circled around the experiences within nuclear families and monogamous relationships,
and Stelbourn (1999) proclaims it is a largely patriarchal practice. Stelbourn (1999) uses Engel s work
during the eighteenth century, to explain the still existent contemporary debate around the
consequences of monogamy. The work of Friedrich Engels (Stelbourn 1999) focused on the division
between mothers as housewives, and fathers as workers in nuclear families. Women were reduced in
power and

as a change over time in any a structure, thought, or behavior that have been adapted by biological or
environmental influences. In my definition of development, the crosswalk tool is an excellent resource
to help with this progression in students academics. There are differences in from child to child in the

Strange Death of Silas Deane
The Strange Death of Silas Deane by James West Davison and Mark Hamilton Lytle creates a new
perspective on what people see history as. Although many people would define history as something
that happened in the past, through The Strange Death of Silas Deane , the authors demonstrate that this
everyday view on history can be profoundly misleading.
In the section, An Untimely Death , the author explains the key events of Deane s life and his death.
Silas Deane began his life as the son of a humble blacksmith in Groton, Connecticut (16). He went
from rags to riches as he graduated from Yale College and opened up a practice. Deane married,
divorced, and married again. He wasn t happy being a businessman so he entered politics. He ... Show

of using his position to make a profit for himself, but that was just an accusation up until now.
Apparently Deane was

acts as frame for the body and keeps us upright, it provides shape and is the main structural frame for
the body. Protection the skeleton provides the protection for the vital organs in the body. For example,
the rib cage protects the heart and lungs. Another example would be the cranium; it protects the one of
the most import vital organs in the body, the brain. Movement the skeleton enables movement. It
provides a large surface area for muscle attachment. When skeletal muscles contract, they pull on
bones at a joint to produce movement. Produce Blood Cells the skeleton enables red and white blood
cells to be produced in the marrow cavities of larger bones of the body. Red blood cells make
haemoglobin and transport oxygen and carbon dioxide around the body. White blood cells help protect
the body against infections. Bones such as the femur and the pelvic girdle produce blood cells. Fat and

Identity Based Encryption is a public key encryption scheme where any string can be a users email
address or name. The advantage of Identity Based Encryption is no certificate is needed to bind names
to public keys. This feature may help to launch a public key infrastructure since receiver does not have
to obtain public key and certificate before receiving encrypted communication. The sender can use
receivers Id as its public key and does not need to obtain and verify certificate on the recipient s public
key.
5. Advantages of ECC over RSA
A. Security
The main advantage ECC has over RSA is that the essential operation in ECC is point addition and it
is computationally very costly. To maintain the same security degree the bits number will increase in
RSA generated key pair. We can see from below figure that RSA should use 3072 bit while 256 bit for
ECC. Hence ECC is more secure than RSA.
B. Space Requirements
Because increasing computation is needed for higher bit encryption more transistors are needed
onboard the smart card to achieve operation. This causes growth in the area of employed processors.
By ECC transistor number can be cut back on since numbers required are much smaller than RSA
with similar level of security. Bandwidth requirements are same for RSA and ECC when message is
long but when message is short ECC is

The Salem Witch Trials For The Puritan Community
Texas Tech University A Town Submerged in Hysteria Cornelius Asmerom History To 1877 Professor
Corye Beene October 23, 2014 The Salem Witch Trials The Salem Witch Trials were a devastating
time period in 1692 for the Puritan community which resulted in 20 innocent people executed.
Pilgrims landed in Plymouth, Massachusetts 9 years before the Puritans landed in Massachusetts Bay.
Puritans wanted to purify the Church of England and ultimately strive to build a utopian society. John
Winthrope who was the first governor of the Massachusetts bay colony described this society as a city
upon a hill . This city upon a hill was not going to achieve itself on its own once the Puritans got to
Massachusetts Bay. The type of government enforced within their community was a theocracy,
meaning that God is the true leader of society, and he expressed his action and will through men and
women. This required the community to attend church daily, and if you did not show up people would
come and look for you. This outdated form of government enforced and allowed the sexist practices of
women because of the strong belief that women were susceptible to the Devils charm. Women had no
legal or property rights, marrying as a teenager and having many kids was the their life. This
community did not tolerate nonconformity, everyone did the same thing and acted the same way. Anne
Hutchinson was a victim of the strict beliefs of the Puritans. Anne Hutchinson was arrested for heresy

Example Of Monopoly In Monopoly
Do you think Indian Railway is an example for monopoly market? What are the types of price

Introduction
Indian railway is one of the best example for showing monopoly. In economics, monopoly exists when
delivery of a particular product or service is completely controlled by an individual or an enterprise.
Indian Railways is the state owned railway company of India having more than 64000 Kilometres of
track and 6909 stations. Indian railways has a position, which is not possible in perfectly competitive

4. Peak load pricing: Practice of charging higher prices during peak periods when capacity constraints
cause marginal costs to be high. Indian railway employs this type of discrimination by differential
discounts in peak and off peak seasons
a. Indian railway launched Empty Flow Direction Freight Discount Scheme . To ensure better

Autobiography Of A Face And Pleasantville Essay
The discovery of oneself is a very prominent theme throughout the stories of Pleasantville and

  • 2. The Relationship Between Taxation And Technological... Introduction Profits should be taxed where economic activities deriving the profits are performed and where value is created 1. The relationship between taxation and technological developments have always been dynamic and complex. The internet represents the greatest technological revolution since the industrial revolution. Data show that there is approximately $xxx billion trade occurring through e commerce, with xxx billion internet users and xx billion domain names as of 20142 and this number keeps changing every second. This paper takes a look at the current tax issues relating to e commerce and profit shifting and also the new OECD framework aimed at addressing these challenges. Tax Issues Governments and tax authorities face the same problems whilst trying to tax digital or online businesses: what is the appropriate nexus that permits the application of tax jurisdiction over cross border sales? Concerns have been expressed that e commerce could result in base erosion and profit shifting [BEPS]. Consumption taxes are levied on the principle of taxation at the place of consumption and according to rates set in individual country or state. E commerce, however, has the potential to undermine the application of domestic and national tax rules. Tax planning for an e business differs from tax planning for a traditional bricks and mortar company. In the past, generation of income depended on the physical presence of assets and activities. This physical presence, permanent ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They prank called all of the fast food restaurants in town. The three acquaintances called Arby s McDonald s and every other fast food place they could think of. Can I get uhhhhh boneless ice cube with a side of salt and a two liter Coke. said Steben holding in all of the laughter. Sir, we do not serve boneless ice, but you can order from the Mc Pick 2 menu for only $5! explained Jeff, the McDonald s worker. No thank you, but my friend would like to have an order of Two chicken sandwiches and a fidget spinner for the toy on the side. he chuckled. Sir, we also do not serve chicken sandwiches and we do not have fidget spinners! he grumbled with a deep sigh afterwards. Ok, I will have two number nines and a number nine large with a chilli dog on the side and a hog rider toy at the end. said Steben with a red face just barely holding in all of his laughter. You know what, I quit this job! ,he squealed, I am also going to track this number down and get the police on you immature and childish kids! Jeff could hear them all burst out laughing and he was outraged. He went ballistic after hearing them all laugh. He felt as if he was in the African savannah with a Cackle of hyenas. • 4. Robert Frost s Home Burial In Home Burial, Robert Frost uses language and imagery to show how differently a man and a women deal with grief. The poem not only describes the grief the two feel for the loss of their child but also the impending death of a marriage. Frost shows this by using a dramatic style set in New England. In his narrative poem, Frost starts a tense conversation between the man and the wife whose first child had died recently. Not only is there dissonance between the couple, but also a major communication conflict between the husband and the wife. As the poem opens, the wife is standing at the top of a staircase looking at her child s grave through the window. Her husband is at the bottom of the stairs ( He saw her from the bottom of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Looking at lines 3 9 you are able to see that the wife looks at her world through eyes of fear: Looking back over her shoulder at some fear. She took a doubtful step and then undid it To raise herself and look again... And her face changed from terrified to dull. (l. 3 9) Even though the wife may feel that her husband does not understand her grief, he does try to reach out to her. He implores her, Help me, then (l.46). He knows that he has a difficult time communicating with her and observes: My words are nearly always an offence. I don t know how to speak of anything. So as to please you. But I might be taught. I should suppose. I can t say I see how. A man must partly give up being a man. With women folk. (l.48 53) The husband acknowledges that she is grieving and asks her, Let me into your grief (l.62). He pleads with her, Give me my chance (l.64). He asks for help in such a way that his wife pushes him away again. She throws the accusation at him, There you go sneering now! (l.70). This starts a second argument between the two. The argument now is whether the husband can grieve for the child, in the way that he is allowed without society looking down on him? The husband wants the world to know that he is hurting too, but how can he do this? The husband was never taught to grieve, so he is in the process of learning how to do this. The wife does not ... Many Americans are still coming home with mild or severe cases of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Also, there are many ways to treat PTSD and groups are highly considered for treatment for PTSD. For example, according, to Sloan, Bovin, Schnurr (2012) Group treatments for PTSD are assumed to involve a number of mechanisms that offer benefit beyond those provided by the individual therapy format. • 7. Healthcare Coverage Is Not Affordable Vibina Koruth English 3 Mr. Tracy 6 March 2015 Junior Thesis Did you know that healthcare coverage is not affordable to everyone that lives in the United States? For most people affordable healthcare is not exactly affordable anymore which has eventually left them no alternative but to not carry health insurance coverage. Individuals that do not carry health insurance coverage will open themselves up for massive health bills if they get sick, but at this point those bills look more affordable than the cost of health insurance coverage. All the signs point to the expensiveness of healthcare coverage and that most individuals cannot afford to get it especially if their income revenue stream isn t very high. Mortgages, utility bills, possibly car insurance, social security, loan payments and various other types of bills could leave most individuals, depending on the financial situation, with not much money left to pay for the health insurance. The absence of healthcare coverage in the United States exemplifies the financial hardships for families in America. One of the key aspects that lead to the financial hardships of Americans when it comes to healthcare coverage is the expensiveness of the coverage. The expensiveness of the coverage can be attributed to quite a few factors that directly and indirectly raise the cost. The number and type of technology used in hospitals, clinics, and other medical institutions absolutely affect the rising cost in healthcare (Ferlie ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Beethoven Symphony No. 3 and Mozart Symphony 40 Forms Sonata form is one of the more popular forms of music that is found in a variety of different works including symphonies, concertos, and sonatas. Sonata form features three distinct sections: the exposition, development, and recapitulation. Mozart was one of the early composers of this form of music. I will examine the clear distinctions between each section and how he does not stray from the typical form. In later years the form would change to become more fluent and focused on the growth and expansion of the piece. This progression of change was led by the works of Beethoven and the changes can be clearly seen in his grandiose works. By comparing the first movement of Symphony ... All of these sections can be seen in the Mozart and Beethoven movements that are being analyzed and relatively easy to identify. In the Mozart symphony, sections defined by strong cadences. An easy example would be at the end of the exposition where there is a PAC in ms. 99. Following that is a rest and then an appearance of F sharp minor. This is the beginning of the development. The end of the development ends with a huge forte with a pedal tone and a cadence at ms. 160. The wind section quietly brings the section to a close as the strings reintroduce the primary theme back in the original key of G minor. These large sections are not likely to be mistaken. Beethoven too has clearly defined the large sections of the sonata form. His exposition begins after two opening chords with the theme in the cello section. The exposition closes with full orchestral chords in a perfect authentic cadence around ms. 144 148 and after a short link/transition the development begins at ms. 166. The development closes with huge orchestral chords. The big pictures for Mozart and Beethoven line up, but a closer and deeper look reveal that the small sections are quite different. Mozart s smaller sections continue to remain clearly defined, but Beethoven tends to blur it all together. In a typical exposition, we expect to find ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. British s Government s Intervention during the Great Irish... The Great Irish Famine happened during the mid 19th century, and was caused by potato blight, which hit Ireland in 1845 (Grada, Ireland s Great Famine 43). It destroyed a big portion of crops so it became lethal due to the fact that Ireland was very dependent on potatoes in their everyday meals (Grada, Ireland s Great Famine 43). This led to a scarce amount of food and many died from starvation, or other diseases that resulted from the famine (Grada, Ireland s Great Famine 51). In the 1800s, Ireland had already lost their own parliament, so all legislative and executive power was therefore centralized at Westminster, which meant the UK parliament of the British government was responsible for Irish relief in their time of need, ... She stated that this intervention directly addressed the problem of starvation, and many people, over three million, were fed on a daily basis (Kinealy, Death Dealing Famine 9). Although the soup kitchens did provide free food, the government was unable to sustain that aid, because it only lasted for a very brief period of time (Kinealy, Death Dealing Famine 9). Therefore, the aid did not last long enough for it to be considered an improvement on social conditions in Ireland. Also, we must consider that the government stopped previous relief works before they opened the soup kitchens. According to Mary E. Daly, relief works were closed in March, and soup kitchens were opened in May (Daly 133). In that gap, many people suffered and died from starvation, since they lacked any relief from the government (Ferriter 15). This government intervention was poorly planned and did not improve the social conditions in Ireland. Although the soup kitchens did eventually feed a large amount of people, it must be taken into account the just as great amount of people that died, due to the lack in planning on the government s part, by terminating relief projects before instating another. In addition, the food provided by the soup kitchen were of low nutritional value (Kinealy, Death Dealing Famine 9). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Generic drugs have destroyed the market for name brand drugs by being cheaper and just as efficient When a generic drug product is approved, it has met rigorous standards established by the FDA with respect to identity, strength, quality, purity, and potency. These new immigrants gave rise to the unique blend of cultures that exist within Kauai today. For a brief time period, sugar and pineapple production comprised a large part of the economy. As these industries fell, tourism became increasingly popular. Ultimately, Kauai lost its constitutional monarchy in 1893. A group of foreigners conspired to end the Kingdom of Hawaii because the constitution that was being amended was not in their best interests. Introduction: At first glance, Citizen Kane and Rashomon seem structurally similar to each other and as well each explores the concept of truth. They both use multiple narratives to tell their stories; however, the idea of truth is handled differently in each. Citizen Kane is a fictionalized documentary about the life of wealthy newspaperman Charles Kane. In Rashomon, while each narration widens understanding of the motivations of the narrators of the event, only one of the varying accounts is factual. Theme: The central theme of Citizen Kane is exploring a person s life after his death. It talks about a person and what does audience thinks of that person. This film also analyzes the American Dream of Happiness. The theme of Rashomon is Humanity and Reality of the world, that is, different kind of people living in the world. It also talks about self image. We see or want to see things (or reality) in a way which suits us and which gives better image of ourselves. There is one more theme which comes in a subtle way, Metaphysical theme, above or beyond the physical world that is, God and Spiritual world. Focus: Citizen Kane focuses on the characterizing of a person. Through reporter Thompson, we are taken on a journey in which we meet a variety of people, all of whom have something to offer us about Kane s life, though none can give his entire story. • 19. Narrative Essay About Moving To Canada As I walked to the parking lot where my mom had arrived to pick me up from school, my sister ran out of the car, ran towards me and yelled excitedly, We re going to Canada! Having grown up in Kuwait for my whole life of 15 years, I could hardly believe my sister s words. Going to Canada! I had only been out of the country twice, each time just to vacation and visit family in the Philippines where both my parents are from. I had always imagined what life would be like outside of Kuwait, and now it was finally going to be real. My 15 year old self was devastated We were leaving the only home I had known for 15 years. It did not take long for my sisters excitement to die when we realized that we would be leaving our friends and everything we ve ever known and not returning for a long time. Life in Kuwait for 15 years was comfortable and we were more than financially stable. Moving to Canada without a job offer in place meant that we would have to start from the beginning all over again. Goodbyes were hard but my parents encouraged us to see the joys of moving to a place where we could start over and become accepted citizens of a country. Arriving in Canada, I experienced the biggest culture shock of my life. Vancouver, BC was cold, wet, and loud. I had thought adjusting would be relatively easy; I spoke English with a slight accent but I was very shy that it confused some of the other kids to think I couldn t speak English. However, there should also be non overlapping/non correlated factors contributing as well, as reactive and proactive aggression have different predictors, associations and temperamental and physiological correlates . With these new developments, the researchers carried out a separate test, recalculating a correlation factoring in the possible overlap of physical aggression. Methods Sample. The participants of this study were 6 year olds (N= 72.7 months) selected from another current study, the Quebec Newborn Twin longitudinal Study. They initially enrolled 648 pairs of twins but the final sample size was 172 twins (55 monozygotic girls, 48 monozygotic boys, 33 dizygotic girls, and 36 dizygotic boys) after excluding data from different sex twins and twins who were in the same class (which might indicate exaggerated similarities between the twins if rated by the same teacher). The children s reactive and proactive aggression levels were measured using Dodge and Coie s (1987) assessment, using informant reporting. The informant was the childrens kindergarten teacher during the spring (enough time for the teacher to get to know the child) in his/her preferred language (either English or French; translated twice and approved by binglingual judges). Scholars have continued to argue the success of monogamous relationships. Harville Hendrix (1990) explains that monogamy is a healing practice. Partners in monogamous relationships go through many stages and struggles as a committed couple. Through struggle, partners act as healers that help to work through each other s suffering (Hendrix 1990). Hendrix (1990) believes individuals choose their partners to work through the pain together and help them grow through life. Monogamous marriage is a spiritual path to happiness and commitment between two individuals (Hendrix 1990). A committed relationship requires monogamy, and Hendrix (1990) contends that healthy and spiritual commitments encourage the sustainability of monogamous relationships. Stelbourn (1999) uses Engel s work during the eighteenth century, to explain the still existent contemporary debate around the consequences of monogamy.
