Thesis Statement Of Career Motivation
6. DISCUSSION OF RESULTS
Because of the nature of the construction industry, it was not surprising that most respondents were
male. In generally, the respondents profile indicate the responding have the require information to
offer unbiased feedbacks on the survey. As may be seen from Tables 3 through 5, the motivational
factor of programme choice selection is attributable by five constructs. Two of the five sub hypotheses
were substantiated in hypothesis 1. A positive relationship is found between career motivation factor
and satisfaction with choice is not unexpected. This is because serious shortfall may exist if there is a
mismatch between the learning satisfactions with career motivation. The consequence is truancy, poor
grade and dropout, in turn, the lower satisfaction with the decision made. Career motivation is very
critical for most people or graduate. For a prospective student, career motivations involve the
decisions and behaviours the students anchored the choice of the study programme. The career
motivation dictates career path. In generally, what motivates more students to select a programme is

As may be seen from Table 6, the hypothesis of a relationship between career motivation factor and
academic performance is mediated by satisfaction with the decision is substantiated. Therefore,
students that select a programme because of career motivation will be more passionate to a higher

Hannah Bailey s Imaginary Adolescents
In American Teen, Hannah Bailey is an adolescent who lives with her grandparents. A teenager who
likes art, film, and photography. She is considered a Rebel in the film. She describes herself as strange
and different. Hannah does not fit in with the rest of the people in Indiana, she is just trying to get
through her last year in high school and leave.
In the beginning of the movie, Hannah comes off as a bright, happy, and outgoing girl. However, it
soon changed after her boyfriend, Joel, broke up with her. She really loved him and stated, I can never
imagine not having him in my life . (American Teen) When she found out he cheated on her it broke
her heart. She did not attend school for several days because she was miserable and could not deal
with the breakup. Hannah thought people would think of her as disgusting, worthless, stupid, and ugly.
It illustrates the idea of imaginary audience. Adolescents think that all eyes are on them and that
everyone is interested in what they do. In the same fashion, Hannah thinks that everyone at school will

grandparents about moving to California and pursuing her career in film and photography. However,
her grandparents do not think it is a good idea and try to persuade her to stay in Indiana. She then goes
on to say that, she does not want to be like everyone else and tells her grandparents I would take your

she grows up. She wants to do something different and do something she will be remembered

Dharma Bums Literary Analysis
Throughout the book Dharma Bums, by Jack Kerouac, the characters resist the urge to normalize their
peculiar behavior. This particular idea of nonconformity is present throughout the entirety of the book.
The ultimate source of uniformity, to which Japhy Ryder and Ray Smith are definitely opposed to, is
the middle class. The majority of the American population, who are trapped in the rat race of money
making and social climbing, rely on these social norms to create class distinction. Kerouac delivers the
overall theme that obedience of societal norms is aberrant. To deliver this theme, Kerouac uses long
syntax, detailed imagery, and anaphora to present the overall idea that conformity is irrational.

Kerouac uses the idea of the silence being so intense to show the idea that uniformity in society is
wrong. Mad raging sunsets poured in seafoams of cloud through unimaginable crags, with every rose
tint of hope beyond, I felt just like it, brilliant and bleak beyond words. Everywhere awful ice fields
and snow straws; one blade of grass jiggling in the winds of infinity, anchored to a rock. This was the
life I was meant to live. (Kerouac,41). This quote helps create a visual image of the lives of Japhy and
Ray. Kerouac purposely used this elaborate imagery to portray that Japhy and Ray don t obey the
societal norms that are apparent. They continue to venture into the wilderness and find their own

Most Common Stereotypes At Comic Con
People Watching At Comic Con
If you ve ever been to a comic convention you might ve accidently mistaken it to be Halloween day.
The diversity of people walking in and out of those convention doors is limitless. Most people at a

Oxygen therapy is used in those patients who have a condition that causes oxygen levels in the blood
to be too low. Thus the patient can breathe through this form of treatment increases the amount of
oxygen that the lungs receive and deliver to the blood. Therapy can be received in different ways. It
may be through tubes resting on the nose, a face mask, or a tube placed in the trachea. Patients who
have low blood oxygen levels may feel short of air, tired or confused, and can harm your body.
Because oxygen therapy can be administered for short or long periods of time, it can be used in

Smoking in homes where oxygen is used is not allowed. Candles, matches, wood stoves and even
sparkling toys should not be used, as they may be sources of ignition. Oxygen cylinders should be
kept at least five feet from a source of heat, open flames, or electrical devices. Because body oil, hand
lotion and items containing oil and grease can light easily, they should be kept away where the oxygen
is in use. Nor should aerosols contain combustible materials near oxygen3
Doctors who prescribe medical oxygen should take into account potential hazards when used in the
home and that these hazards must be managed to ensure the safety of all concerned. We must assess
the patient s ability, and the home environment to initiate medical oxygen in the community. This
assessment should ensure the safe storage of equipment and ensure that the patient or caregiver can
administer oxygen therapy at home. This includes an understanding of equipment operation and the
ability to handle shut off valves, flow meters, and other controls.4

how to handle simple problems, preferably with the available reference material. Appropriate signage
should also be provided to alert health professionals and emergency services that oxygen therapy

The Bears have an easier time negotiating the straight world than the Butches. The Bears aren t looked

The Causes And Effects Of Recidivism
With so many studies on recidivism and rehabilitation, and so few that were considered successful,
there were aspects that made many skeptical of why these programs simply did not work. Different
researchers conducted different types of research and came up with different results. Of the 231
studies that were finalized after making it through the rigorous elimination process, some researchers
seen the net widening process as the beginning of the entombed rehabilitation and recidivism.
Researchers did not coordinate their individual meaning of many terms, including recidivism and
rehabilitation. Whether it was for simply being arrested and charged, adding a new charge all together,
or taken into custody and being released. The diversity in the research would become both the
entombing and the rebirth on recidivism and rehabilitation. Researchers seem to vacillate even more
on the effects of recidivisms and rehabilitation we know very little about the recidivism effects of
various degrees of security, finding out will be compounded by the probability that these effects will
vary widely according to the type of offender that we re dealing with (Martinson, 1974). Eliminating
certain factors from the studies only skewed the results the way the researchers wanted them to be
viewed in the beginning. With each study of a successful result, there is another with a failure result.

state of Indiana. Have you ever wondered what the names of these butterflies are and in what areas
you can find them? Well, look no further, because this book will give you those pieces of information,
along with a bunch of other cool facts! After reading this book, you will be able to identify ten of the
most common butterflies in Indiana: the Buckeye, the American Snout, the Cabbage White, the
Eastern Tailed Blue, the Monarch, the Silver spotted Skipper, the Question Mark, the Pearl Crescent,
the Black Swallowtail, and the Red spotted Purple. Soon, you ll be on your way to becoming a

Basic Butterfly Information Before you learn about Indiana butterflies, you ll need to know some
butterfly basics. First, butterflies are insects with wings made of colorful scales, a curled up mouthpart
called a proboscis, and clubbed antennae, with thick ends like baseball bats. Butterflies are part of an
insect order, a category level entomologists (people who study insects) use to organize insects into
groups, called Lepidoptera, along with moths. The name Lepidoptera comes from the Greek words for
scale (lepido) and wing (pteron). The scales on a butterfly s wings are actually modified hairs arranged

Employee Engagement and Organizational Success
Leaders also try to achieve the same quality for their own status, which allows them to pursue greater
strength, achieve personal goals and future endeavours. According to a recent study conducted by
Psychometrics Canada a pioneer in research assessment, has mentioned in one of its report that
employee engagement in the organisation plays a major role in the success of any organisation.
Accordingly it says that the best way to increase the relation is by working out a strategy that builds
positive environment and culture relations between the workers and ensuring a good leader to fit for
the purpose. Leaders in the organisation can try to achieve a better employee engagement by listening
to followers opinions, communicating his vision with a clarity, providing and developing strategies
and solution for the success, and finally recognising the ability of the followers and praising their
contributions. Thisaspect of leadership is displayed by general feedback, generating ideas and possess

described by DAVID J. BOBB(David J B, 2013) in his book saying following servant leadership is

Delving Into Gothic Design With Annamarie Lopinto
Delving into Gothic Design with Annamarie Lopinto If you want an interior design that is striking and
romantic, Annamarie Lopinto states that the Gothic Design is ideal for your taste. This design style,
which is often confused with Medieval design, is similar in some aspects, but much different in others.
The Gothic design era was actually after the Medieval design reign, and incorporated some new
characteristics along the way. A recurring theme in the Gothic design philosophy is that of the flying
buttress, an architectural engineering feat that includes beautiful archways and columns.
Understandably, this type of design element is not practical for most common residential rooms,
especially for those with a standard height ceiling. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
11. Travel the Decades with Retro Design and Annamarie Lopinto When Annamarie Lopinto hears the
term retro , she knows that it can refer to any of the design characteristics of the 1950s, 1960s, or
1970s. Each decade has its own unique qualities, and offers a different take on the theme desired.
1950S retro is very much influenced by the end of World War II, when consumerism was at its peak in
the United States. 1950S retro design can use a variety of color palettes, from bright color to more
muted tones. The furniture created in the Eames style is very appropriate for that decade of style. In
1960s retro, the designs gravitate towards more of a groovy feel, with swirling lines and interesting
patterns. The colors used can be complimentary or contrasting, and the textiles will include obscenely
large prints. The furniture is very surreal, with odd lines, and often an utter lack of symmetry. Pop art
and posters are found on the walls, tastefully framed. Lighting will have bold cloth lamp shades, or
even colored glass globes as an accent. 1970s retro takes the design concepts of the 1960s and adds an
urban or ethnic twist. This style is what could be called psychedelic today. A hip mix of Boho chic,
beatnik, and hippie, 1970s retro seams to have a true split personality. Annamarie Lopinto explains
that the 1970s retro style also includes all of the design elements of the disco music era as well,
complete with glittery disco

this disease; in case of point, researchers have yet to discover a way to slow the progression of the

Intubated Patients Develop Ventilator Associated Pneumonia
Critically ill patients who are intubated on mechanical ventilation for more than 24 hours of are at an
increased risk of 6 to 21 times of developing ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP). Patients
intubated for lesser than 24 hours are at 3 times the risk of acquiring VAP.15 VAP is the parenchymal
lung infection and alveolitis, the accumulation of inflammatory exudates and infiltration of airway
mucosa can lead to unfavourable respiratory mechanics occurring at least 48 hours after initiation of
mechanical ventilation. VAP is one reason for high costs and prolonged length of hospital stay in the
intensive care units (ICU).9
The morbidity and mortality of VAP is increasingly high, mortality rates ranges from 20% to 41%.
The risk of development of VAP increases days of ventilation by 4 days, critical care by 4 days and
lengths of hospital stay by 9 days, respectively and these factors adds to additional costs per VAP
case.16
VAP prolongs the need for mechanical ventilation that may keep patients with a poor prognosis from
their underlying commodities in the ICU. Both these factors would increase the probability of death
rates in the ICU among patients who have developed VAP. 17
A prospective, matched cohort study was conducted to evaluate the attributable morbidity and
mortality of VAP in intensive care unit (ICU) patients. One hundred and seventy seven patients
developed VAP and stayed in the ICU for 4.3 days longer and had a trend toward an increase in risk of
death

Positive Memories Essay
Create Memories. Try various activities together and have some fun. Create great memories by taking
up a new hobby, or travelling together. Most any activity you do together that you enjoy will produce
positive memories. So do something that you both can enjoy and develop wonderful remembrances of
the times. These memories will serve you well when your relationship hits a rough patch, as most
relationships do. You can reflect back on the good times and they will sustain you while going through
the rocky roads on your relationship journey. The times you share will be forever with you as your
relationship grows.
Be Sensitive. Don t be rough and abrasive. Some say they prefer a more overt personality, others say
they like the conservative and timid type, and truth is we all want something in between. Be attentive

A lunch date would suffice in the middle of a busy week or a quiet dinner date at your favorite
restaurant can turn a blah day into a romantic delight. It doesn t matter the time or day, just be to do it.
Time Apart. This is another one of those tips that may seem a little unorthodox, but it is imperative for
the success of your relationship. You are both individuals, you will have different views, different
perspectives and probably different friends. With all these differences surely you will enjoy different
things. To be sure that you maintain your individuality within your relationship, you will find it
necessary to spend time apart. Respect each other and discuss the parameters of the time and the

Ethical Theory Summary
Ethical Theory Summary
This is an outline and summary of three of the most prominent ethical theories in the history of
philosophy. (Note that all three of these represent different ethical absolutist/universalist theories. A
view known as ethical relativism follows these.) Please take this as a sketch that invites you to
investigate these ethical theories further. After each brief sketch, I will provide some web links that

A rule utilitarian, on the other hand, begins by looking at potential rules of action. To determine
whether a rule should be followed, he looks at what would happen if it were constantly followed. If
adherence to the rule produces more happiness than otherwise, it is a rule that morally must be
followed at all times. The distinction between act and rule utilitarianism is therefore based on a
difference about the proper object of consequentialist calculation: individual actions or rules?

Deontology (Duty Ethics) (especially Immanuel Kant)
From Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deontological_ethics):
Deontological ethics or deontology (Greek: δέον (deon) meaning obligation or duty) is the theory of

the rightness or wrongness of an action does not depend on the goodness or badness of its

maximizes or satisfies good consequences as determined by an impartial determination of good and

Family Dynamics Chapter Summary
Reading reaction 2
This chapter tell us about what they called the creator of the family movement Mr. Bowen. In this
chapters the lectors could find the theoretical formulations where some angles are form to describe the
union or functions of the family and how they are connected to each other (e.g., emotional triangles,
process, cutoff, society, genogram, differentiation, etc.) and so forth, (Nichols M. 2017; pg. 71 87).
Personally as we all grow and learn from each chapter of the book every information is important on
our careers. The information that I most retain in this chapter are the theoretical formulations and
strategies that will help us understand the family dynamics. Chapter five tells us family problem
solving; there is a six steps ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The information that was new to me is the six steps models. As professionals we need to learn all the
information and techniques that we can apply to the benefit of the family.
Chapter six talks about structural theory this is important because every family has a structural base in
place; some concept are boundaries, subsystems, alignments, and complementary which are easy to
apply in therapy. The family structure is how is the interaction of the family, then how they interact
with each other and their own personal boundaries between each other. To be able to provide an
effective outcome in family therapy is imperative to consider the entire family members. The chapter
provide a guideline for structural family assessment as we can observe in page 120 (Nichols M. 2017).
The information provided in this chapter open the view of observing the interaction within the family
members and how it relates to the conflicts. All the information in this book it is imperative, however,
the family assessment was a good key for us as beginners. Learning all this material help us grow as
professionals in our careers.

Thank you for taking the time on being interested in this plan. The goal is to open a new Maritime
Training Center in Las Vegas, Nevada and become an established Safety Training Center in the
maritime industry to various commercial enterprises and most importantly Military Sealift Command,
the largest operator of civilian manned logistic support vessels for the U.S. Navy. Before we get into
want everyone wants to know, let me start off with a bit about my background and myself.
I m Captain Edward Santillan, and a current employer with Military Sealift Command. I have been
working with MSC for the last 20 years, started as an entry level position in the Supply Department
and worked by way up to Master Unlimited Tonnage. I m and ... Show more content on

This is something Las Vegas can capitalize on as there is no training site available. There are a good
percentage of sailors that live in the area, as most sailors desire to live in a tax free state. I am one of
them!
There are 8 maritime academies that are pumping out 800 Third Officers and Third Assistant
Engineers every year. These new junior officers that end up sailing will eventually require attending
the courses we will be providing. Now, they are creating Junior Supply Officer(s), which I intend to
create courses to support advancement in this rate.
There are various Gun Ranges to support Small Arms Training, which is a high demand course
requirement in Military Sealift Command, even with the Unions who are contracted by Military
Sealift Command. This course alone would pay for the overhead cost at the training center. However,
this business plan is not about one course; it s about two dozen courses we can start without having to
invest in high price training aids like a simulator. However, once we get established the goal will
become a full service Maritime Center with a Simulator.
The proposed training center will be only 5 hours away from the Military Sealift Command CSU W
pool in San Diego, where CIVMARs are backlogged sometime waiting weeks for openings on their
required training. We will provide transportation to and from the San Diego

Bilbo Conflicts
Man Vs Himself
Conflict; the struggle between opposing forces. In the book the hobbit the protagonist named Bilbo
conveys a struggle between his personality. His mother, born into the took family has always had an
extreme thirst for adventure. Although his father was born into the Baggins family, which life consist
of normal hobbit behavior. Bilbo is torn between following his adventurous pursuits or continuing to
live a typical hobbit life.
Bilbo s conflicts affect Gandalf the grey and the Dwarves. Characters in the story are affected by
Bilbo s mixed heritage in many ways. Gandalf is trying to convince Bilbo to join him on a journey to
the lonely mountain to recover the stolen gold. Although bilbo s answer is split by his family s
heritage. He is indecisive as to whether he should go with Gandalf or continue to live his normal life
as a hobbit. The Baggins family can be best described as cautious and fearful whereas the Took family

One literary device used in J.R.R Tolkien s The Hobbit is Foreshadowing. The fact that the protagonist
bilbo has split heritages makes it obvious that by the end of the story he has to choose one. In The
Hobbit, Bilbo states Sorry! I don t want any adventures, thank you. Not Today. Good morning! But
please come to tea any time you like! Why not tomorrow? Good bye! (Tolkien 6). Bilbo does not want
to go on a journey. Gandalf and the dwarves asking Bilbo to follow them on the journey to recover the
stolen gold and the fact that he has an adventurous side to him easily conveys that he will go on the
adventure. Tolkien also tend to use personification in his writing . Smilie s also contribute Tolkien s

The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights
With the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), the concept of human rights has gradually
become one of the most commonly accepted universal norms, referred to in United Nations
resolutions, national constitutions and regional and international treaties. Even so, human rights
violations occur on an almost daily basis in countries around the world. The term seems to be at the
forefront of contemporary political discourses, with its meaning at most times remaining unclear. In
theory, human rights serve the sole purpose of protecting the inherent dignity of all representatives of
the human family (UDHR 1948) However, there is much disagreement when it comes to theoretically
justifying that each human being has rights by virtue ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This will then serve as a basis for my main argument that human rights are socially constructed and do
not exist outside of the realm of politics. This will then feed into the second part of the question where
I shall discuss the prioritisation of community values over an alleged universal foundation.
Structure
The first part of the essay will concern itself with a more genealogical approach by looking at early
philosophical origins of human rights and how these evolved over the years. With this I seek to outline
the fact that while efforts to institutionalise human rights were initially a reaction towards global
injustice and oppression, in contemporary politics they are used to create power relations, and
implicitly, inequality. This will provide a good basis for the second part in which I will look at the
incompatibilities within the theory religion versus Rawls consensus based theory. Analysing the
multitude of frameworks with their different ways of approaching and grounding rights underlines and
reinforces the fact that there can t be a universal foundation for human rights. The third part will deal
with the fact that trying to ground rights into one universal foundation creates an exclusion of those
who are different and how we can seek to move away from this problem.
Natural Law and Natural Rights
The origin of the modern rights discourse is that of natural law dating back to antiquity. Plato was one
of the first advocates for a universal

Base 10
There are a variation of different ways numeric and alphanumeric data can be represented within a
computer system.
Base 10 (Decimal)
As humans from an early age we learn to count using the base 10 system, this is a system to tell us
how many times we have counted to 10 with the addition of any extra, for example the number 17 the
1 on the left shows us we have counter to 10 once and the 7 shows we have an additional 7, the
number 52 shows us we have counted to the number 10 five times and an additional 2. As humans we
find this base 10 system easier due to the simplicity of it, and our relation to the number 10, as we
have 10 fingers which can be used as physical representations of the number. Computer systems can t
use this method due to it only being able to recognized and deal with 2 states, on of off (1 and 0).
Base 2 (Binary)
Due to the computer not being able to handle base 10 and only being able to recognized 2 states, on or
off, 1 or 0. It uses a method called base 2. This base 2 method is called binary which uses the numbers
1 and 0 to calculate. An example of this base 2 system would be the number two which we know to be
2 which is a base 10 number, in base 2 the number 2 would be 10. Another example of this is the
number 110111 in base 2 is the same as the number 55 in base ten.

Formal And Formal Events
Programs are little square sheets of paper that are used to list the time of events at mostly formal and
sometimes informal events. They sometimes can be boring have no color and just printed out in black

This was the first time that Rabobank would venture into the Eurobond market. Note: Because of

Morgan had an AAA credit rating, and an international reputation, this guarantee effectively lowered

Magic In Mama Day By Gloria Naylor
Mama Day by Gloria Naylor portrays magic as a central force in the lives of the characters living on
Willow Springs, including George who is an outsider brought on the inside. The art of enchantment or
magic is the reason the island manages to sustain itself, regardless of pressures on the outside (white
capitalism) or on the inside. The entire novel is set on the premise of the existence of an island so
surreal and arguably idealistic, that black people are successfully governed by themselves. Willow
Springs could be portrayed as a utopia for African Americans living in a racialized America. This
paper seeks to explore the extents to which supernatural influences characterize the lives of Sapphira,
Miranda and Ruby, as well as establish the roles they serve individually.
Sapphira Wade is made out to be the life force of Willow Springs, although she is dead, rendering her

Throughout the movie, we see frequent montages of the city and get accustomed with its vibrant
nature. Yeo crafted the story with utmost care, deliberately setting it to a slow, rhythmic pace to match
the intensity and mental state of the characters. The characters do not converse much, instead they
choose the path of contemplation and confession, trying to revisit their past.
His wonderfully written dialogues help to create a calming influence on the film, which reveals the
depressing nature of the characters. For example, when the woman asks the man if he still enjoys his

Sometimes you get used to things. After fifteen years it s not a matter of whether you like it or not.
You just forget about the tiny details.
The term tiny details is closely related with the flow of the movie as we see the band members, who

movie, which indicates the director s desire to come full circle. The same applies to the time when a

Teacher planning
I got to help the teacher decorate for Halloween in the hallway
I helped the teacher check homework and see who tuned it all in or not
Math skills
The children worried on a path packet and a skills paper
We then tought them a new math skill o I got to help the read the word problem and then explain how
they get the answer.
Two events:
Today we went to ST math before PE and I noticed something interesting. Most of the children were
on the same lesson and had the same trouble. They all were having trouble with less than, equal to and
more then. In the program there were blocks on each side and the child had to either take some away
or add some to make them equal. I helped mean children with this lesson and each time I found new
ways to help them. I showered a few ways with counting on my fingers and others by connecting it to
a math problem. They mostly all understood it better with the visual. This was a good learning
experience for me and showed me how differently the kids learn. Next time I want to find different
ways to explain how to do the lesson. I could maybe relate it to something they know or draw some
pictures.
I was also given the choice to lead the lesson on math skills. I chose to do it thinking it would be good
experience and help with my confidence. The lesson was on word problems and how to make them
into a math problem. I thought it was going to be easer then what it was. Teaching a child is very
different individually then when teaching a whole class. I learned a lot doing this and got a lot of help
from the teacher. One thing she told me was that the kids in the class had different reading levels in it,
so when reading the word problem with them so they know what the word are. I was also having
trouble explaining it and how to go about it all. The teacher helped me out a lot with this. She

Virginia Horn Project Essay
1.0 Summary Historic data analysis, 3D models, interpretations of geophysical data, prospecting
results and a mineral potential map of the Virginia Horn (VH) project are presented. Comparison of
data from the VH to analog gold hosting rocks in Canada suggest that future exploration should focus
on identifying Au bearing veins in the Midway sequence, within 300 meters of the Pike River fault
(PRF). Specifically, exploration drilling should be conducted in the buried area north of the Jola and
Sopp excavation pit, where the PRF is inferred to have experienced compressional bending and a
silicified/arsenopyrite rich metasediment (?) boulder has been discovered. A high resolution
aeromagnetic (or electromagnetic) survey would enhance a geologic interpretation of the VH, but may
not be necessary as currently available data justify further exploration in the high potential area
outlined in this report.
2.0 Introduction
The VH is located in northern MN, USA, approximately 60 miles north of Duluth and 3 miles
southeast of Virginia. It is named for the abrupt bend in the Proterozoic Biwabik iron formation and

Women In King Arthur s Knights Of The Round Table
The Woman s Image So much for equality. In King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table by
Roger Lacelyn Green, women are evil, seductive temptresses, and liars.
First of all, women in this version of the story are depicted as evil. Give me the head of this knight
who but now drew the sword which the damsel brought. . . . Evil woman! he cried (p. 25). In this
quote, the Lady of the Lake is demanding the he ad of Sir Balyn because King Arthur owes her a

simply because she is a woman. and to speak my last word of warning . . . Have good care of the

As a result, another term must be used to refer to the power and domination that white people have
over minorities; therefore, in this paper I will use the term white supremacy as opposed to racism. In
the Constitution, in slavery, and even in our cities today, white supremacy has been prevalent
throughout our history. White supremacy and black inferiority are the two main problems that our
cites face today; once white supremacy and black inferiority are ended in our country, then the
majority of the problems in our cities will cease to exist.
White supremacy and black inferiority have been an epidemic in our nation since the founding of our
country. Our country is said to be one of the greatest democratic countries of all time; nevertheless, we
have faced great problems such as slavery and unfair distribution of wealth. Our Constitution has
helped to shape one of the greatest democratic countries, but it can simultaneously be deprecated for
its promotion of institutional racism. People such as Thomas Jefferson, who owned slaves, wrote the

A Comparison of Poetry Essay
A Comparison of Poetry In this essay two poems will be juxtaposed. One of the poems is called My

The rhythm in Funeral Blues is a very slow one which emphasises the sadness of the poet whereas in
the poem My parents kept me from children who were rough there is a medium pace rhythm which
accelerates gradually during the poem and then slows down at the end to a slow pace. Both My
parents kept me from children who were rough and Funeral Blues have four lines in every verse but
the amount of verses in each poem differ since the poem My parents kept me from children who were
rough has only three verses whereas Funeral Blues has four. In the poem My parents kept me from
children who were rough all three of the verses are set in the past tense whereas in Funeral Blues three
of the verses are talking about the present and only one is talking about the past. The verse, which is
referring to something in the past, is the one that talks about the man who died. In the poem My
parents kept me from children who were rough lines similar to I feared more than tigers their muscles

abuse and images, which is stated in the poem, is And who threw world like stones and who wore torn

imagery in Funeral Blues is one of a heart broken man who is very sad and depressed

Overview of SK Telecom in South Korea
Defining the Problem
The position with SK Telecom in South Korea seemed like a dream job for Linda Myers, who would
become one of the first American female executives in the South Korea (p. 124). Yet Myers, and her
organization, underestimated the importance of understanding the nuances of Korean culture. Myers
had worked abroad as an expatriate before and assumed that all countries outside the United States
would pose similar challenges. She was wrong to make this assumption. Although she d been in new
cultural situations before, this one seemed more difficult to navigate, (p. 124). If Myers had been more
willing to consider what Korean business culture would be like, she might have avoided some of the
problems that occurred. Her experience prepping clients to work for Western multinationals in China
and other countries did not easily translate to her situation in Korea, showing the importance of
treating each situation, and each new country or culture, differently (p. 126).
The problem is not Myers alone, though. She had no official orientation and no detailed guidance
from her superiors, (p. 124). This is an organizational issue, stemming from poor management
decisions related to human resources. Moreover, Myers felt isolated, as she was not given any
opportunity to form relationships with her new colleagues in Seoul (p. 124). Moreover, human
resources managers failed to choose someone who might better fit in with the Seoul business culture
than Myers, if

FINA 3088 Case Study 1 Chase s Strategy for Syndicating the Hong Kong Disneyland Loan (A) (B)
Bid Strategy of the First Round
The first round bid was to show its commitment and price, while detailed proposal would be submitted
after being shortlisted. Thus, Chase had mainly three kinds of concern at that stage: risk, profit and
reputation.
Reputation
From Exhibit 6, there is no doubt that Chase was the top bank in syndicated finance in the US and
over the world. However, it recorded limited performance in Asian market though Chase had put
numerous resources into its global group. At the same time, Chase was among Disney s top
relationship banks and Disney as well as its project in Hong Kong had a noticeable market signal. ...

Although Chase argued that this term is rarely invoked and in Asia they have never invoked it, Disney
was paying for a fully underwritten deal expressly to avoid syndication risk, especially the amount of
the loan. If the syndication amount suddenly changes in the economy crises, it may bring serious
trouble to the Disney s operation and financial stability. At the same time, if the price were to increase
dramatically, it would be a high burden for Disney to pay the interest.
Since Disney is one of the large clients, Chase may have to do some amendments to smooth the
negotiation process. As chase, to remove or alter the rights to change the amount of the syndication
may be acceptable as most of the loan have been assigned to other banks. However, some flexibility in
terms of the pricing must be guaranteed to ensure the profitability of Chase in some certain economy
downturn.
Syndication Strategy for the loan
We now discuss the syndication strategy in terms of the following components:
Number of Tiers fewer tiers
It can be argued that more tiers can increase the number of banks to involve, thus

to enforce laws to increase the working conditions that enslaves of St. Dominique were working

James Bonds Gender Roles
The gender representation in the James Bond franchise are displayed quite differently throughout time.
The 1964 Goldfinger, written by Ian Fleming, portrayed women as sexual objects that were there for
one plain and simple reason: amusement. Whereas in the modern 2015 Spectre film, directed by Sam
Mendes, women are presented with a lot more empowerment and strength, which was absent within
the 1964 film. Women in Goldfinger were objects that were used for Bond s entertainment. On the
other hand, women in Spectre were different, and they became strong characters who had a clear
purpose in the film. The presentation of men in the Bond franchise have also developed, and they are

Women develop their own personality, and they start to have more vital roles in the film. An example
of this is Madeleine Swann. She was the primary woman in the film, and she was there to assist Bond
with his mission when he needed it. Madeleine supported Bond in the scene where he was getting
beaten up by an enemy in the train. He was starting to weaken and wear out, and using Madeleine s
stunning bravery, she hit the enemy on their head. She gave a chance for Bond to stand up on his feet
again, and have the upper hand in the fight. The fact that Madeleine wasn t just standing there
screaming and watching the events unfold, amplifies the bravery and courage that women today are
exhibiting to the world. She in no longer a weak woman who was scared of getting involved in action.
She did what the audience would be screaming at her to do: go and do something. This shows the
development of women in Bond films, and the way they have adapted to suit modern society and
target audience. They are no longer objects for Bond s amusement, in fact, they are now intelligent
characters who are not concerned about being portrayed as petit or pretty. The audience watching this
would be proud of how Madeleine acted, and they would relate to how strong women are becoming in

How Is The Concer Differ In The Canterbury Tales
The Canterbury Tales: The Franklin vs. The Merchant
In Geoffrey Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales, a set of pilgrims have a story telling competition while
travelling to Canterbury to visit the the shrine of Saint Thomas a Becket. The Merchant and the
Franklin both participate in this competition. The Merchant s Tale is a response to a previous tale (The
Clerk s) and inspired by a personal experience. The Franklin s Tale is a retelling of an older tale. The
Merchant is the last person to tell a vulgar tale, dealing with a theme such as lust. The Franklin, who
tells his tale after the Merchant, tells a tale that lives up to the chivalric code . Prior to The Merchant s
Tale, the Clerk tells a tale about a wife that is put through a series of tests by her husband. Even with
the unnecessary and extremely difficult trials, the wife remains faithful and loyal to her husband. In
his prologue, the Merchant says he can relate to the sadness that marriage can bring although he has
only been married for two months. The Merchant says that marriage is a trap and is asked to further
explain his theory. The Merchant s Tale is about a knight named January, who had lived for sixty years
without a wife. He gets married and his squire goes behind his back to have an affair with his new
wife. As the tale ends, the Host prays aloud that God will keep him from such a deceitful wife. But he
stops himself from telling more stories about his own wife, fearing that one of the pilgrims will tell on
him. The Franklin s Tale is about a knight named Arveragus desires a wife. He marries a young
maiden named Dorigen. While her husband is away on a crusade, Dorigen is stressing in his absence.
Then Arveragus returns and finds Dorigen extremely distraught. Dorigen then explains everything to
him and he says she must keep her promise, even though it hurts him. Dorigen presents herself to
Aurelius. However, when Aurelius learns of Arveragus actions and how he lives up the chivalric code,
he cuts off the deal and sends Dorigen back to him. The two tales have similar character structures, a
female and two males. The two tales deal with the topic of medieval love, faithfulness and
commitment in marriage. It can be argued that Chaucer doesn t

The Violence Of The Media
From 2000 to 2013 there were a total of 160 active shooter incidents and that number is increasing
every year. The main reason shootings have become so prominent is because the media has
oversaturated the news with pictures of the shooter, their life stories, and their histories of mental
illness. Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Park Deitz has repeatedly told the media to localize mass shootings to
the area effected because the more they fan the flames across the nation of potential shooters, the
greater likelihood that another mass shooting will occur in the following weeks ( Charlie Brooker s
Newswipe 25/03/09 ). If the media continues to overflow the minds of their viewers with nothing but
24/7 coverage of mass shooters, then we are increasing the likelihood of someone committing such an
atrocity. We need to stop the media from extensively covering these stories of men and woman
shooting up the public in order to keep the peace. Many people want to know when a shooting occurs
so they are in the know , this is completely normal and okay, but when the media plasters the TV
screen and websites with nothing but updates and stops all other newsworthy information, it can be
excessive. The news should be delivering the news in not only a respectful manner, but also in a
consistent manner; but when we have updates every 5 minutes, then the accuracy of the information
the media delivers is significantly lower because they are trying to keep the viewers engaged by

Construction Projects For The Construction Industry
Introduction Construction projects contain a high level of complicated procurement processes. Not
only the revenue or profit is critical in the construction industry, but market intelligence and
construction procurement knowledge are also important. The bidding process in the construction
industry is illustrated by many different involved parties including the architectural and engineering
firms, client, general contractors, material suppliers, specialized contractors, manufacturers, etc.
(Halaris, 2001). Preparing proposed documents, appraising bids, and awarding the contract to the
winner of the bid are among the major duties of the client (Gokhan et al, 2006). (Gokhan et al, 2006)
Fig. 1. Bid proposal preparation process Sub contracting has comprehensively been used in the
construction industry. It allows general contractors to employ the lowest workforce in construction
projects and promotes specialization (Maturana, 2005). Many general contractors only play a role as
construction management agents in construction projects, for example, they sub contract a large
volume of their work to sub contractors (Shash, 1998). The characteristic bidding process is showed in
Fig. 1. Bidding requirements and procedures vary and have disparate requirements that are created by

Delving Into GothicDesign With Annamarie Lopinto Delving into Gothic Design with Annamarie Lopinto If you want an interior design that is striking and romantic, Annamarie Lopinto states that the Gothic Design is ideal for your taste. This design style, which is often confused with Medieval design, is similar in some aspects, but much different in others. The Gothic design era was actually after the Medieval design reign, and incorporated some new characteristics along the way. A recurring theme in the Gothic design philosophy is that of the flying buttress, an architectural engineering feat that includes beautiful archways and columns. Understandably, this type of design element is not practical for most common residential rooms, especially for those with a standard height ceiling. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 11. Travel the Decades with Retro Design and Annamarie Lopinto When Annamarie Lopinto hears the term retro , she knows that it can refer to any of the design characteristics of the 1950s, 1960s, or 1970s. Each decade has its own unique qualities, and offers a different take on the theme desired. 1950S retro is very much influenced by the end of World War II, when consumerism was at its peak in the United States. 1950S retro design can use a variety of color palettes, from bright color to more muted tones. The furniture created in the Eames style is very appropriate for that decade of style. In 1960s retro, the designs gravitate towards more of a groovy feel, with swirling lines and interesting patterns. The colors used can be complimentary or contrasting, and the textiles will include obscenely large prints. The furniture is very surreal, with odd lines, and often an utter lack of symmetry. Pop art and posters are found on the walls, tastefully framed. Lighting will have bold cloth lamp shades, or even colored glass globes as an accent. 1970s retro takes the design concepts of the 1960s and adds an urban or ethnic twist. This style is what could be called psychedelic today. A hip mix of Boho chic, beatnik, and hippie, 1970s retro seams to have a true split personality. Annamarie Lopinto explains that the 1970s retro style also includes all of the design elements of the disco music era as well, complete with glittery disco ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Intubated Patients DevelopVentilator Associated Pneumonia Critically ill patients who are intubated on mechanical ventilation for more than 24 hours of are at an increased risk of 6 to 21 times of developing ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP). Patients intubated for lesser than 24 hours are at 3 times the risk of acquiring VAP.15 VAP is the parenchymal lung infection and alveolitis, the accumulation of inflammatory exudates and infiltration of airway mucosa can lead to unfavourable respiratory mechanics occurring at least 48 hours after initiation of mechanical ventilation. VAP is one reason for high costs and prolonged length of hospital stay in the intensive care units (ICU).9 The morbidity and mortality of VAP is increasingly high, mortality rates ranges from 20% to 41%. The risk of development of VAP increases days of ventilation by 4 days, critical care by 4 days and lengths of hospital stay by 9 days, respectively and these factors adds to additional costs per VAP case.16 VAP prolongs the need for mechanical ventilation that may keep patients with a poor prognosis from their underlying commodities in the ICU. Both these factors would increase the probability of death rates in the ICU among patients who have developed VAP. 17 A prospective, matched cohort study was conducted to evaluate the attributable morbidity and mortality of VAP in intensive care unit (ICU) patients. One hundred and seventy seven patients developed VAP and stayed in the ICU for 4.3 days longer and had a trend toward an increase in risk of death ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Universal DeclarationOf Human Rights With the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), the concept of human rights has gradually become one of the most commonly accepted universal norms, referred to in United Nations resolutions, national constitutions and regional and international treaties. Even so, human rights violations occur on an almost daily basis in countries around the world. The term seems to be at the forefront of contemporary political discourses, with its meaning at most times remaining unclear. In theory, human rights serve the sole purpose of protecting the inherent dignity of all representatives of the human family (UDHR 1948) However, there is much disagreement when it comes to theoretically justifying that each human being has rights by virtue ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This will then serve as a basis for my main argument that human rights are socially constructed and do not exist outside of the realm of politics. This will then feed into the second part of the question where I shall discuss the prioritisation of community values over an alleged universal foundation. Structure The first part of the essay will concern itself with a more genealogical approach by looking at early philosophical origins of human rights and how these evolved over the years. With this I seek to outline the fact that while efforts to institutionalise human rights were initially a reaction towards global injustice and oppression, in contemporary politics they are used to create power relations, and implicitly, inequality. This will provide a good basis for the second part in which I will look at the incompatibilities within the theory religion versus Rawls consensus based theory. Analysing the multitude of frameworks with their different ways of approaching and grounding rights underlines and reinforces the fact that there can t be a universal foundation for human rights. The third part will deal with the fact that trying to ground rights into one universal foundation creates an exclusion of those who are different and how we can seek to move away from this problem. Base 10 There area variation of different ways numeric and alphanumeric data can be represented within a computer system. Base 10 (Decimal) As humans from an early age we learn to count using the base 10 system, this is a system to tell us how many times we have counted to 10 with the addition of any extra, for example the number 17 the 1 on the left shows us we have counter to 10 once and the 7 shows we have an additional 7, the number 52 shows us we have counted to the number 10 five times and an additional 2. As humans we find this base 10 system easier due to the simplicity of it, and our relation to the number 10, as we have 10 fingers which can be used as physical representations of the number. Computer systems can t use this method due to it only being able to recognized and deal with 2 states, on of off (1 and 0). Base 2 (Binary) Due to the computer not being able to handle base 10 and only being able to recognized 2 states, on or off, 1 or 0. It uses a method called base 2. This base 2 method is called binary which uses the numbers 1 and 0 to calculate. An example of this base 2 system would be the number two which we know to be 2 which is a base 10 number, in base 2 the number 2 would be 10. The art of enchantment or magic is the reason the island manages to sustain itself, regardless of pressures on the outside (white capitalism) or on the inside. The entire novel is set on the premise of the existence of an island so surreal and arguably idealistic, that black people are successfully governed by themselves. Willow Springs could be portrayed as a utopia for African Americans living in a racialized America. This paper seeks to explore the extents to which supernatural influences characterize the lives of Sapphira, Miranda and Ruby, as well as establish the roles they serve individually. Sapphira Wade is made out to be the life force of Willow Springs, although she is dead, rendering her to have omnipotent and omniscient powers. The legend according to the book is that Sapphira Wade is an African woman who killed her former slave master and father to her seven children, Bascombe Wade in 1823, and had him will the island to her. For example, when the woman asks the man if he still enjoys his work he says: Sometimes you get used to things. After fifteen years it s not a matter of whether you like it or not. The term tiny details is closely related with the flow of the movie as we see the band members, who the director shows for a brief moment towards the start of the film, appearing again at the end of the movie, which indicates the director s desire to come full circle. They all were having trouble with less than, equal to and more then. In the program there were blocks on each side and the child had to either take some away or add some to make them equal. I helped mean children with this lesson and each time I found new ways to help them. I showered a few ways with counting on my fingers and others by connecting it to a math problem. They mostly all understood it better with the visual. This was a good learning experience for me and showed me how differently the kids learn. Next time I want to find different ways to explain how to do the lesson. I could maybe relate it to something they know or draw some pictures. I was also given the choice to lead the lesson on math skills. I chose to do it thinking it would be good experience and help with my confidence. The lesson was on word problems and how to make them into a math problem. I thought it was going to be easer then what it was. Teaching a child is very different individually then when teaching a whole class. I learned a lot doing this and got a lot of help from the teacher. One thing she told me was that the kids in the class had different reading levels in it, so when reading the word problem with them so they know what the word are. Virginia Horn ProjectEssay 1.0 Summary Historic data analysis, 3D models, interpretations of geophysical data, prospecting results and a mineral potential map of the Virginia Horn (VH) project are presented. Comparison of data from the VH to analog gold hosting rocks in Canada suggest that future exploration should focus on identifying Au bearing veins in the Midway sequence, within 300 meters of the Pike River fault (PRF). Specifically, exploration drilling should be conducted in the buried area north of the Jola and Sopp excavation pit, where the PRF is inferred to have experienced compressional bending and a silicified/arsenopyrite rich metasediment (?) boulder has been discovered. A high resolution aeromagnetic (or electromagnetic) survey would enhance a geologic interpretation of the VH, but may not be necessary as currently available data justify further exploration in the high potential area outlined in this report. 2.0 Introduction The VH is located in northern MN, USA, approximately 60 miles north of Duluth and 3 miles southeast of Virginia. Overview of SKTelecom in South Korea Defining the Problem The position with SK Telecom in South Korea seemed like a dream job for Linda Myers, who would become one of the first American female executives in the South Korea (p. 124). Yet Myers, and her organization, underestimated the importance of understanding the nuances of Korean culture. Myers had worked abroad as an expatriate before and assumed that all countries outside the United States would pose similar challenges. She was wrong to make this assumption. Although she d been in new cultural situations before, this one seemed more difficult to navigate, (p. 124). If Myers had been more willing to consider what Korean business culture would be like, she might have avoided some of the problems that occurred. Her experience prepping clients to work for Western multinationals in China and other countries did not easily translate to her situation in Korea, showing the importance of treating each situation, and each new country or culture, differently (p. 126). The problem is not Myers alone, though. She had no official orientation and no detailed guidance from her superiors, (p. 124). This is an organizational issue, stemming from poor management decisions related to human resources. Moreover, Myers felt isolated, as she was not given any opportunity to form relationships with her new colleagues in Seoul (p. 124). How Is TheConcer Differ In The Canterbury Tales The Canterbury Tales: The Franklin vs. The Merchant In Geoffrey Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales, a set of pilgrims have a story telling competition while travelling to Canterbury to visit the the shrine of Saint Thomas a Becket. The Merchant and the Franklin both participate in this competition. The Merchant s Tale is a response to a previous tale (The Clerk s) and inspired by a personal experience. The Franklin s Tale is a retelling of an older tale. The Merchant is the last person to tell a vulgar tale, dealing with a theme such as lust. The Franklin, who tells his tale after the Merchant, tells a tale that lives up to the chivalric code . Prior to The Merchant s Tale, the Clerk tells a tale about a wife that is put through a series of tests by her husband. Even with the unnecessary and extremely difficult trials, the wife remains faithful and loyal to her husband. In his prologue, the Merchant says he can relate to the sadness that marriage can bring although he has only been married for two months. The Merchant says that marriage is a trap and is asked to further explain his theory. The Merchant s Tale is about a knight named January, who had lived for sixty years without a wife. He gets married and his squire goes behind his back to have an affair with his new wife. As the tale ends, the Host prays aloud that God will keep him from such a deceitful wife. But he stops himself from telling more stories about his own wife, fearing that one of the pilgrims will tell on him. The Franklin s Tale is about a knight named Arveragus desires a wife. He marries a young maiden named Dorigen. While her husband is away on a crusade, Dorigen is stressing in his absence. Then Arveragus returns and finds Dorigen extremely distraught. The Violence OfThe Media From 2000 to 2013 there were a total of 160 active shooter incidents and that number is increasing every year. The main reason shootings have become so prominent is because the media has oversaturated the news with pictures of the shooter, their life stories, and their histories of mental illness. Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Park Deitz has repeatedly told the media to localize mass shootings to the area effected because the more they fan the flames across the nation of potential shooters, the greater likelihood that another mass shooting will occur in the following weeks ( Charlie Brooker s Newswipe 25/03/09 ). Not only the revenue or profit is critical in the construction industry, but market intelligence and construction procurement knowledge are also important. The bidding process in the construction industry is illustrated by many different involved parties including the architectural and engineering firms, client, general contractors, material suppliers, specialized contractors, manufacturers, etc. (Halaris, 2001). Preparing proposed documents, appraising bids, and awarding the contract to the winner of the bid are among the major duties of the client (Gokhan et al, 2006). (Gokhan et al, 2006) Fig. 1. Bid proposal preparation process Sub contracting has comprehensively been used in the construction industry. It allows general contractors to employ the lowest workforce in construction projects and promotes specialization (Maturana, 2005). Many general contractors only play a role as construction management agents in construction projects, for example, they sub contract a large volume of their work to sub contractors (Shash, 1998). The characteristic bidding process is showed in Fig. 1. Bidding requirements and procedures vary and have disparate requirements that are created by the owners. There is a challenge of a bidding procedure is the quantity of paper based forms that need to be filled, revised, and filed. This spends a large amount of time, which the contractor changes very ...
