Persuasive Essay On Pet Ownership
According to the 2017 2018 National Pet Owners survey, about 68% of American
households own a pet. Someone could view pet ownership from many perspectives, on
the one hand some pets are costly and someone may have an allergy to them, but on the
other had pets can bring an immeasurable amount of love and joy to a family. Owning a
petcan give their pet owner so much compassion, and help them learn responsibility, and
how to priorities their tasks. Someone can not teach compassion, but something
everyone must have to understand and respect others. A pet can give their pet owner so
much of love and joy. When I get stressed out my cat, Smokey, comes over to me and sit
right on top of whatever I happen to try to work on at the moment. This even happens
when I get right into the middle of my homework and she thinks I needa break so she lays
down right in the middle of my homework. Many types of pets that will show someone
compassion, but when it comes to dogs they seem to really know when their owner
gets upset and need help. Duke, my nine year old labrador, gets so excited to see me
when I get off the bus that he knows the time that the bus comes and if he is outside
then he will run to the bus and wait there for my brother and me to get off. When I go
down to the barn to think the chickens will heard around my feet and not leave me
alone until I get their food for them and cracking up because they jump all over me.

Symbolism In Sweet Potato Pie
1.A) I believe that the phrases the dry September of the dirt roads, grassless yards of
the shanty town, and a brilliant splash of sunny yellow against the dust contribute to the
atmosphere by revealing specific details of the setting. When the author uses the phrases
the dry September of the dirt roads, and sunny yellow against the dust, it portrays the
setting as dry and dusty. This is further supported by the phrase grassless yards, which
allows the reader to picture the landscape as bare, dry ground. The term shanty town
means an area consisting of a large amount of roughly made houses.
B) The atmosphere of the story is impoverished.
C) The selected phrases contribute to the atmosphere because, as mentioned above, they
include terms such as shanty town, dirt roads, and against the dust that reveal the setting
as a poor, dry landscape. This, in turn, contributes to the overall atmosphere of poverty....

The use of flashbacks as a literary device is similar to those in Sweet Potato Pie
because they both involve the main character looking back at the place where he or she
grew up. They are also similar because of the fact that the main characters past home
was not very financially stable. This is supported by the use of the term shanty, meaning
crude dwelling, in both of the stories. However, they are also different in the fact that
Buddy lived alone with his family in Sweet Potato Pie, while the main character in
Marigolds lived in a community.
3. The setting of the story does appear relevant to the plot of the story. I believe this
because the main character lives in a poor community, which would definitely influence
the story and add to the various problems and conflicts of the

The Rise Of Special Effects Make Up
Samantha Kowal Professor Bauer English AOS 42 January 28, 2014 The Rise of
Special Effects Make up Make up artist have been influential in artists productions
throughout time; everything from Shakespearean theater to the IMAX big screen.
Although their craft is stared at by audiences around the world, they do not get the
respect and recognition they deserve. Without make up there would be no beautiful
actress or gruesome creature to intrigue the audience. Special effects artist are masters
of illusion and molders of beauty. They have the skill to transport a person to a
completely different realm of imagination. To come at this essay from a stronger

I was blown away with everything I tried and even got stuck on a few of them for
years. No matter who I went with, I always managed to find myself in a different
world; every one of them filled with such beauty and passion. Many were truly
amazing but I would always come to a point where I couldn t take it any further. I
wanted more expression and more of me in the art. Honestly, I think I wanted to stand
out from my families talents and excel on my own; do something better than they
could. I needed to have world of my own. Then it hit me. I was watching a movie
called Nightmare on Elm Street, after being petrified by the gruesome creature known
as Freddy Krugar my mother kept reminding me that it wasn t real. I became obsessed
with that concept. He isn t real yet we fear him so much, he was an illusion that was
beautifully executed through the art of make up. A make up artist named, Robert
Englund, took the time to make this horrific character, which may have been make
believe to us but was very real to him. He was able to take the back story of a crazed
child rapist and produce a creation from his imagination and bring it into real life. It
not only was the character itself dark and twisted but the anatomy of him was just
unbelievable. He managed to manipulate our eyes and portray this very real person,
simply by tweaking some ones anatomy. In a way he was creating not only a character
but a whole new life all together, and this concept kept me in awe for years.
Jazz Has Been A Part Of American Culture Throughout
History
Jazz has been a part of American culture throughout history that is still being explored
today. Jazz has a rich history that goes back many years. Jazz has also developed into
many different styles that trace to places all around the world. There have been many
jazz musicians throughout the years. Jazz music has a very complex, but good musical
tune and instrumentation to it. Jazzhad started, when musicians came to New Orleans to
play, most of the people that came to play were former slaves of African descent. The
African American people had traced their ancestry back to West Africa, and with this
knowledge they began to make a new kind of genre of music called jazz, based on
ancient African tribal music, that people in Africa had been... Show more content on

Note that the transition from ragtime to jazz, was one of melodic style, harmony, and
mentation, though it involved a change of approach, swing being more purely
improvisatory art (Louis 176). Much of the total development of African pitch was
based upon quarter tone scales quite beyond a half tone unit, confusion about certain
tones of the diatonic scale, particularly the third, fifth, and seventh, resulted in the
creation of the blues. Specific aspects of this evolving Negro music were represented
at first by folk blues, gospel music, spirituals, and stomps; later by boogie woogie,
struts, rags, one step, and finally jazz evolved. During this evolution one basic
characteristic has always been there, a fundamental pulse of quarter notes joined with
a harmonic fabric moving in unit with half notes, whole notes, etc (World of Music
200). The first combination of musical ideas to achieve popularity among both blacks
and whites was called ragtime. In its heyday, between 1896 and 1918, ragtime
overshadowed all other forms of popular music. The music was in the style of European
popular song, but with a ragged rhythm. It was usually played on solo piano, with a left
hand setting down a steady march beat accompaniment over which the right hand played
a melody that was syncopated, with stressed notes off the most important beats of the bar
(The story of Music 42). Jazz of the 20th century continued to develop
The Themes In The Time Machine By H. G. Wells
One night, I heard loud tapping noises, I got up because of the noise and I thought I
needed to investigated. At this point, I m walking up the stairs and I see a large
shadow coming from the window. I slowly walk over to the window and the noise is
getting louder. I look up in the window and I see a person. I look closer and I see it
was actually just my dad outside taking a call and the tapping has from my dog s tail
hitting the window, who was outside with him. The Time Machineby H.G. Wells is about
The Time Traveller, who created a time machine and wanted to explore the future.
When he got there, society looked peaceful and great, but after he discovered the
morlocks and he realized society was falling apart in the future. So, he realized he
needed to go back to his time and then the story ends with him joining his friends at
dinner. The theme best presented in The Time Machineby H.G. Wells is that things aren t
always what they appear to be.
The theme in The Time Machine is that things aren t always as they seem. First, the text
points out that the world was too perfect to The Time Traveller. According to The Time
Machine by H.G. Wells it states, The too perfect security of the Upper worlders had led
them to a slow movement of degeneration, to a general dwindling in size, strength, and
intelligence. This is when The Time Traveller is describing the world to his audience.
This supports that the world up there was too perfect. This supports the theme because it

Security Cameras Dbq
Have you ever thought of the idea that someone is watching over you at school without
knowing it? With today s modern technology, there are schools that use cameras for
various reasons. Otherwise known as Closed Circuit Television (CCTV). It is a TV
System in which signals are not publicly distributed but are monitored, primarily for
surveillanceand securitypurposes (Prompt). However, what you might not be aware of is
that you are not given as much privacyat school than at home. Schools should have
security cameras, because they are a useful entity to protect civilians on campus, could
serve as deterrents for those bad teachers, and create an overall better learning
environment for everyone.
Primarily, security cameras are only one of the many pieces of technology that schools
use as a security system to prevent intruders. As quoted in Source 2, Tragedies such as
the school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut in 2012 have raised alarms for increased
school security ; cameras could have been a useful tool in this situation. On the other
hand, many opponents would support the cost issue. Conversely, ... Show more content

Reports from students may be enough to stop a corrupt teacher, but cameras are
revolutionary way to keep an eye on them. As cited from Source 2, Advocates have also
argued that cameras could serve as deterrents to those bad teachers who do exist,
particularly in special needs classrooms where students may have difficulty
communicating instances of abuse to their parents . Despite, how corrupt some teachers
may be, cameras can be a pressurizing factor on teachers as communicated in Source 3,
Of the teachers who feel that keeping cameras out of the school classroom is the best
policy, most fear an invasion of the teacher pupil relationship . While, some teachers
worry that it s an invasion, others agree that cameras increase security to protect everyone

a fun day of learning and ask them about characters that were on their clothing. Once
everyone arrived for the day, Ms. Ann would have the students find a buddy and hold

Symptoms And Treatments Of Chemotherapy Induced Nausea
And...
Cancer patients frequently experience chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting which
affect their nutritional intake, quality of life, activity of daily living and the course of
chemotherapy treatment. Whereas most acute chemotherapy induced nausea and
vomiting are treated with anti emetics during chemotherapy, anticipatory and delayed
chemotherapyinduced nausea and vomiting can have a detrimental effect on the patients
quality of life and increase readmission rate. This paper discusses the different types of
chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting, the problem statement and objectives,
literature reviews, evidence practice guidelines and interventions for chemotherapy
induced nausea and vomiting. BACKGROUND
Chemotherapy can increase a patient s life span and improve the outcome of cancer
treatment. However, the side effects of nausea and vomiting can be debilitating to the
patient s quality of life. According to Navari, (2013), specific patients characteristics and
the type of chemotherapy administered can increase the risk of chemotherapy induced
nausea and vomiting. For example history of motion sickness and pregnancy induced
nausea and vomiting increases a patient s risk, women are more at risk than men and in
younger patients whilst patients with high alcohol consumption experiences less risk
(NCCN, 2011).
Chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) can be classified as acute, delayed
and anticipatory, breakthrough and refractory. Acute CINV occurs within 24
The Views Parents And Teachers Have On Inclusion And
How...
The purpose of this report is to outline the views parents and teachers have on inclusion
and how these views impact on classroom inclusion strategies. This report will discuss
inclusion and the benefits for all students. The discussion will then focus on
recommendations for bringing these views into line with current policies. This will be
investigated by reviewing literature on inclusion through recently published journal
articles and internet sites. According to Inclusion Now (2015) inclusion means that all
children, regardless of their background or ability, are given the chance to play, learn and
interact together , meaning every person regardless of their age, gender, race, religion or
disability is given the opportunity to be included in situations and services equally and
fairly. The views parents, teachers and the community hold have an impact on classroom
inclusion strategies. These are the three main stakeholders in a child s education and all
of them contribute to the outcomes of these students. Teachers Teachers in particular
have a major influence on their student s individual learning. Their attitudes towards
inclusion have a significant impact on the strategies they may or may not use within their
classroom. The teacher s views towards inclusion can be determined by many factors.
Teachers who have been more educated in this area may have a more positive outlook on
inclusive education. Teachers need to provide their students with different learning
Comparing Virtual and Augmented Reality
1.Definition of the virtual reality and augmented reality
Definition of the augmented reality is a meaning of enhanced reality because augmented
reality is a technology that gives a real physical view to the users. Normally the process
of the augmented is just adding some extra data to the perception of things around users
which are not visible in the memory.
Definition of the virtual reality is a meaning of reality with the imaginary because
virtual reality are normally refers to the simulation of the reality in the way that it looks
and feels real but it s actual is not real.
2.Difference between augmented reality and virtual reality
2.1Immersion
Augmented reality (AR) is a technology that gives real insight to the users. Besides that,
augmented reality also can create a physically real view of the world environment whose
elements are augmented or supplemented by computer generated sensory input example
like sound, video, graphic or GPS data in the augment reality.
Besides that s, augmented reality are required users to continue to be in touch with the
surrounding world because the users are still aware that they are in the real world as
compared to the full immersion in a virtual world. Normally the users are always use a
related device such as a smartphone or a wearable device that are completed with a
webcam or others software that are suitable to the users to using it. Example the software
that can help users to recognises the image when the users are

these terrible living conditions.
They finally met with the confederates in the Henrico County, Virginia for the Battle of
Fair Oaks. Booker went to take a position secluded from as many people as he can,
hoping that he wouldn t have to kill anyone. He was up on a slightly elevated part
behind a few trees laying down, watching as the men got closer to each other. Finally
after they reached a position close enough to each other, the battle began. Booker
couldn t believe how loud it was. He turned away and heard the screams of men getting
shot. He heard the artillery being fired and crashing down on a group of soldiers. He
didn t know what to do. Booker never wanted to fire his gun. Eventually he looked
back through the rifle and saw a bullet fly into one of his fellow soldier s head; the
bullet entered the man s head and was stuck there. Booker saw the pieces of the man s
skull flying through the air, blood running down his head, Booker even heard his
screams. Booker threw up immediately afterwards. Eventually Booker finally was able to
look through the sniper scope again. He saw hundreds lying there, dead. Some were lying

Copper Carbonate Lab Report
The reaction characteristics of basic copper carbonate

mole ratio. The reaction mole ratio of sodium carbonate to copper chloride (II) was
controlled from 1.08 to 1.68. Fig. 1 shows the XRD patterns of copper carbonate powder.
At a reaction ratio of 1.08, paratacamite (Cu_2 Cl(OH)_3 ), beside alkali copper

Lack of sodium carbonate may cause incomplete reaction with copper chloride (II)
because of low pH (6.0) of the solution [12]. The copper content according to the reaction

The malachite basic copper carbonate formed as CuCO3 в‹… Cu(OH)2 shows bright

this study, most of the manufactured copper carbonate was converted to malachite basic
copper carbonate of bright green at the reaction mole ratio of 1.20. In the case of low
reaction ratio of sodium carbonate, m, the stoichiometric coefficients of CuCO3, is
higher than n, the stoichiometric coefficient of Cu(OH)2, so that the amount of CuCO3
is generated is more than that of Cu(OH)2. With increasing reaction mole ratio of sodium
carbonate, m is lower than n so that the generation rate of CuCO_3 is lower than that of
CuгЂ–(OH)гЂ—_2. Therefore, copper content increased with increasing sodium
carbonate. With assumption of same value of m and n, theoretical copper content

Research Paper On Pony
Looking for the perfect pony? Who isn t? Good ponies those who can teach kids the
ropes when it comes to horsemanship are said to be worth their weight in gold.
What exactly is a pony, by definition? How does it differ from what we call a horse?
Well, a pony is, in fact, a horse. Ponies are a sub classification of light horses, which are
those used for riding. The main difference between a pony and a horse is that a pony is
under 14.2 hands. To this end, just about any horse who meets the height requirement can
be shown in pony classes. However, there are certain breeds where all the individuals
registered must meet pony requirements. These are called pony breeds.
Like other horse breeds, pony breeds vary in size, color, and gait.

by cross breeding Shetland Ponies with Appaloosa horses, as well as Quarter Horses
and Arabians. POAs share the breed characteristics of their founding stock, and range in
height from 11.2 hands to 13.2 hands. Because of their Appaloosa heritage, they come in
a wide variety of coat patterns. POAs work well for both riding and driving.
Connemara
The Connemara is an Irish pony that has Arabian horses in its ancestry. Connemaras
are known for being one of the taller pony breeds, as many of them stand in the 14.2
hand range. Connemaras are often gray or black, although registry rules also allow
them to be brown, bay, or dun. Connemaras have very smooth gaits, are willing
learners, and are often very athletic. They excel in a wide variety of disciplines, from
riding to driving, and are well suited to both children and driving adults.
When looking at ponies, there are several breeds from which to choose. Knowing
certain breed characteristics will help you determine if the pony you are looking at is a
good representative of his breed. Good luck finding the perfect pony!

Cultural Diversity in London
The phrase British culture is often used carelessly, as if it completely and
comprehensively defines all of the 63 million people living in Great Britain as well as
their culture. People who use terms such as this either willingly or unconsciously forget
the fact that Great Britain is a culturally diverse country, the biggest representative of
this being its largest and most populated city London. In order to understand things
better, we should take a few steps backwards and attempt to define these two important
terms (1) culture and (2) cultural diversity. According to Longman s Dictionary of
Contemporary English , culture is primarily defined as the beliefs, way of life, art, and
customs that are shared and accepted by people... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

What is also interesting is that in most London boroughs, the majority of pupils speak
a language other than English at home. For example, in Tower Hamlets, Newham,
Westminster and Brent this amounts to more than 60%. Richmond upon Thames,
Sutton, Bexley, Bromley and Havering, where the rate is less than 20 per cent, are
exceptions to this rule. The biggest contributor to such a huge level of diversity in all
major cultural aspects is without doubt immigration. London had been the trade
capitol of the world for a long time, and its numerous colonies provided it with
abundant workforce in the past. Even today, when this is not the case, London is the
city with the second largest immigrant population (after New York) , as no less than
36.7% of its population are foreign born people. LIFE IN THE MELTING POT It is
now perfectly clear why London is often reffered to as the melting pot of nations .
However, it is necessary to say that this term is also wrongly used, as melting pot
suggests a homogyny in culture, i.e. a common culture for all people in a society, which
does not apply to London. But how do exactly all these nations, with all their personal
beliefs and traditions, get along in this so called pot ? The capitol s culture has been
shaped over time by the many nationalities and their cultures into a highly heterogenous
yet progressive environment. Testament to this are the numerous annual

creation. Through all of the various types of love in this world, God s love is the most
abundant. His love is cast over every being on earth. This specific love, Divine Love, can
be coupled with charity.. These two attributes contribute to Gods love for mankind,
mankind s love for God, and mankind s love for one another. God s love for mankind
is portrayed by the sacrifice of his son on the cross for our sins. Through the suffering
and death of his son, we have the hope of eternal life. Those who believe in him will be

For example, believing in Him as the Triune God, praying, and essentially love fellow
humans. The Divine Servant is a key symbol when talking about loving others. To
follow in jesus footsteps and to help the homeless, blind, weak, lame, and crippled is
truly love. In my personal opinion I believe many Christians flaunt this statue and talk
the talk, but do not walk the walk. Although some may walk the walk, they do it with
bad intentions in their heart. They may be servicing a human who is less fortunate
just for publicity or praise. In today s society people are indulged in social media and
cell phones which makes it extremely easy for one to boast about the service he/she
did. So, many may fall short in loving humans, therefore fall short in loving God. In
this situation, a saying near and dear to my heart The unseen is eternal (I m sorry for
taking a biblical sentence out of context) comes to mind. I believe this saying is
relevant because acts of kindness and love that are unseen by others are longer lasting
than acts performed in front of others with faulty motives. Others on this earth may not
be able to tell between good and bad intentions, but God can. Ultimately, that is who we
will all answer to one day. For God knows us better than we know ourselves. This lack
of love for fellow humans makes it easier for one to love him/her self or materialistic
things, which relates back to the demons. Unfortunately, this may be the deciding factor

Someone can not teach compassion, but something everyone must have to understand and respect others. A pet can give their pet owner so much of love and joy. • 3. Symbolism In Sweet Potato Pie 1.A) I believe that the phrases the dry September of the dirt roads, grassless yards of the shanty town, and a brilliant splash of sunny yellow against the dust contribute to the atmosphere by revealing specific details of the setting. When the author uses the phrases the dry September of the dirt roads, and sunny yellow against the dust, it portrays the setting as dry and dusty. This is further supported by the phrase grassless yards, which allows the reader to picture the landscape as bare, dry ground. The term shanty town means an area consisting of a large amount of roughly made houses. B) The atmosphere of the story is impoverished. This is supported by the use of the term shanty, meaning crude dwelling, in both of the stories. However, they are also different in the fact that Buddy lived alone with his family in Sweet Potato Pie, while the main character in Marigolds lived in a community. 3. Without make up there would be no beautiful actress or gruesome creature to intrigue the audience. Special effects artist are masters of illusion and molders of beauty. No matter who I went with, I always managed to find myself in a different world; every one of them filled with such beauty and passion. Many were truly amazing but I would always come to a point where I couldn t take it any further. I wanted more expression and more of me in the art. Honestly, I think I wanted to stand out from my families talents and excel on my own; do something better than they could. I needed to have world of my own. Then it hit me. I was watching a movie called Nightmare on Elm Street, after being petrified by the gruesome creature known as Freddy Krugar my mother kept reminding me that it wasn t real. I became obsessed with that concept. He isn t real yet we fear him so much, he was an illusion that was beautifully executed through the art of make up. A make up artist named, Robert Englund, took the time to make this horrific character, which may have been make believe to us but was very real to him. He was able to take the back story of a crazed child rapist and produce a creation from his imagination and bring it into real life. It not only was the character itself dark and twisted but the anatomy of him was just unbelievable. He managed to manipulate our eyes and portray this very real person, simply by tweaking some ones anatomy. In a way he was creating not only a character but a whole new life all together, and this concept kept me in awe for years.

Note that the transition from ragtime to jazz, was one of melodic style, harmony, and mentation, though it involved a change of approach, swing being more purely improvisatory art (Louis 176). Much of the total development of African pitch was based upon quarter tone scales quite beyond a half tone unit, confusion about certain tones of the diatonic scale, particularly the third, fifth, and seventh, resulted in the creation of the blues. Specific aspects of this evolving Negro music were represented at first by folk blues, gospel music, spirituals, and stomps; later by boogie woogie, struts, rags, one step, and finally jazz evolved. During this evolution one basic characteristic has always been there, a fundamental pulse of quarter notes joined with a harmonic fabric moving in unit with half notes, whole notes, etc (World of Music 200). The first combination of musical ideas to achieve popularity among both blacks and whites was called ragtime. In its heyday, between 1896 and 1918, ragtime overshadowed all other forms of popular music. The music was in the style of European popular song, but with a ragged rhythm. It was usually played on solo piano, with a left hand setting down a steady march beat accompaniment over which the right hand played a melody that was syncopated, with stressed notes off the most important beats of the bar (The story of Music 42). Cancer patients frequently experience chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting which affect their nutritional intake, quality of life, activity of daily living and the course of chemotherapy treatment. Whereas most acute chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting are treated with anti emetics during chemotherapy, anticipatory and delayed chemotherapyinduced nausea and vomiting can have a detrimental effect on the patients quality of life and increase readmission rate. This paper discusses the different types of chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting, the problem statement and objectives, literature reviews, evidence practice guidelines and interventions for chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting. BACKGROUND Chemotherapy can increase a patient s life span and improve the outcome of cancer treatment. However, the side effects of nausea and vomiting can be debilitating to the patient s quality of life. According to Navari, (2013), specific patients characteristics and the type of chemotherapy administered can increase the risk of chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting. For example history of motion sickness and pregnancy induced nausea and vomiting increases a patient s risk, women are more at risk than men and in younger patients whilst patients with high alcohol consumption experiences less risk (NCCN, 2011). Chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) can be classified as acute, delayed and anticipatory, breakthrough and refractory. Acute CINV occurs within 24

The purpose of this report is to outline the views parents and teachers have on inclusion and how these views impact on classroom inclusion strategies. This report will discuss inclusion and the benefits for all students. The discussion will then focus on recommendations for bringing these views into line with current policies. This will be investigated by reviewing literature on inclusion through recently published journal articles and internet sites. According to Inclusion Now (2015) inclusion means that all children, regardless of their background or ability, are given the chance to play, learn and interact together , meaning every person regardless of their age, gender, race, religion or disability is given the opportunity to be included in situations and services equally and fairly. The views parents, teachers and the community hold have an impact on classroom inclusion strategies. These are the three main stakeholders in a child s education and all of them contribute to the outcomes of these students. Teachers Teachers in particular have a major influence on their student s individual learning. Their attitudes towards inclusion have a significant impact on the strategies they may or may not use within their classroom. The teacher s views towards inclusion can be determined by many factors. Teachers who have been more educated in this area may have a more positive outlook on inclusive education. Teachers need to provide their students with different learning

In the case of low reaction ratio of sodium carbonate, m, the stoichiometric coefficients of CuCO3, is higher than n, the stoichiometric coefficient of Cu(OH)2, so that the amount of CuCO3 is generated is more than that of Cu(OH)2. With increasing reaction mole ratio of sodium carbonate, m is lower than n so that the generation rate of CuCO_3 is lower than that of CuгЂ–(OH)гЂ—_2. People who use terms such as this either willingly or unconsciously forget the fact that Great Britain is a culturally diverse country, the biggest representative of this being its largest and most populated city London. In order to understand things better, we should take a few steps backwards and attempt to define these two important terms (1) culture and (2) cultural diversity. According to Longman s Dictionary of Contemporary English , culture is primarily defined as the beliefs, way of life, art, and customs that are shared and accepted by people... For example, in Tower Hamlets, Newham, Westminster and Brent this amounts to more than 60%. Richmond upon Thames, Sutton, Bexley, Bromley and Havering, where the rate is less than 20 per cent, are exceptions to this rule. The biggest contributor to such a huge level of diversity in all major cultural aspects is without doubt immigration. London had been the trade capitol of the world for a long time, and its numerous colonies provided it with abundant workforce in the past. Even today, when this is not the case, London is the city with the second largest immigrant population (after New York) , as no less than 36.7% of its population are foreign born people. LIFE IN THE MELTING POT It is now perfectly clear why London is often reffered to as the melting pot of nations . However, it is necessary to say that this term is also wrongly used, as melting pot suggests a homogyny in culture, i.e. a common culture for all people in a society, which does not apply to London. But how do exactly all these nations, with all their personal beliefs and traditions, get along in this so called pot ? The capitol s culture has been shaped over time by the many nationalities and their cultures into a highly heterogenous yet progressive environment. Testament to this are the numerous annual

To follow in jesus footsteps and to help the homeless, blind, weak, lame, and crippled is truly love. In my personal opinion I believe many Christians flaunt this statue and talk the talk, but do not walk the walk. Although some may walk the walk, they do it with bad intentions in their heart. They may be servicing a human who is less fortunate just for publicity or praise. In today s society people are indulged in social media and cell phones which makes it extremely easy for one to boast about the service he/she did. So, many may fall short in loving humans, therefore fall short in loving God. In this situation, a saying near and dear to my heart The unseen is eternal (I m sorry for taking a biblical sentence out of context) comes to mind. I believe this saying is relevant because acts of kindness and love that are unseen by others are longer lasting than acts performed in front of others with faulty motives. Others on this earth may not be able to tell between good and bad intentions, but God can. Ultimately, that is who we will all answer to one day. For God knows us better than we know ourselves. This lack of love for fellow humans makes it easier for one to love him/her self or materialistic things, which relates back to the demons. Unfortunately, this may be the deciding factor
