 Primarily, I learnt to empathize with people’s
problems by developing a problem statement
and working out solutions for it.
 It has broadened my perspective of thinking and
creativity. Ex- In the Ideate assignment, creating
fifty solutions helped me to learn the art of
brainstorming.
 Lastly, I have learnt that there is always “A better
to the best” concept. By improving on every
idea, we keep progressing to an ideal solution.
1. Initially, I felt that the assignments were challenging.
However with a gradual start, I found myself expanding
my thoughts and ideas to cater to the needs of the
assignments.
2. Time management and punctuality are some
important things that I learnt during the course.
Scheduling my time for this course and other academic
courses was indeed a challenge.
 This course of design thinking would indeed
help me in my engineering projects. I can
make my projects more innovative and
creative.
 It also provides a methodology( empathize
and define- ideate- prototype and test) to
approach any obstacle.
 I would like to thank Stanford University for
offering such a wonderful course.
 I would also like to thank Prof. Leticia Britos
Cavagnaro for guiding us throughout the
course.

Three essential takeaways

  • 1.
  • 2.  Primarily, I learnt to empathize with people’s problems by developing a problem statement and working out solutions for it.  It has broadened my perspective of thinking and creativity. Ex- In the Ideate assignment, creating fifty solutions helped me to learn the art of brainstorming.  Lastly, I have learnt that there is always “A better to the best” concept. By improving on every idea, we keep progressing to an ideal solution.
  • 3. 1. Initially, I felt that the assignments were challenging. However with a gradual start, I found myself expanding my thoughts and ideas to cater to the needs of the assignments. 2. Time management and punctuality are some important things that I learnt during the course. Scheduling my time for this course and other academic courses was indeed a challenge.
  • 4.  This course of design thinking would indeed help me in my engineering projects. I can make my projects more innovative and creative.  It also provides a methodology( empathize and define- ideate- prototype and test) to approach any obstacle.
  • 5.  I would like to thank Stanford University for offering such a wonderful course.  I would also like to thank Prof. Leticia Britos Cavagnaro for guiding us throughout the course. V.GAYATHIRI
