an organisation knows it s stakeholder, then it can determine where, there is prospect for business and
also by analysing stakeholders, business can set its operational activities (Graham, 2005). However,
stakeholder analysis can be successful if stakeholder mapping is done by selecting the appropriate
stakeholder at correct stage. Stakeholder mapping consists two axis, whereas horizontal axis reveals
the level of interest an individual has in the organisation and level of importance business will put on

Personal Identity In Romeo And Juliet
In the play, Romeo and Juliet it s about the two lover s that go against their fate of two different
families that hate each other, but will soon end their relationship when Romeo and Juliet die together.
The horrible love story creates Romeo and Juliet s relationship of being loving and caring.
Shakespeare uses metaphors and symbolism to show personal identity through love. In the play by
William Shakespeare uses metaphors to show the personal identity of Romeo s character traits of
being loving and caring before Romeo meets Juliet. One quote that shows Shakespeare uses
metaphors to use personal identity before Romeo meets Juliet is when Romeo expresses his feelings of
having nobody to love by stating, Love is a smoke made with the fume of sighs (1.1.189). This shows
how Romeo was affected when he lost his love, Rosaline. The quote relates to the central idea because
it shows how Romeo is always caring about the people he loves. It proves my thesis of personal
identity because he expresses his own feelings. Another quote that uses metaphors to use personal
identity before Romeo meets Juliet is when Romeo describes how love is important to him by stating,
The precious treasure of his eyesight lost (1.1.190). This quote shows that Romeo wants a pretty girl
to love and care for. The quote relates to the central idea because it shows how love is important to
Romeo. It proves my thesis of personal identity because Romeo s character traits will help him find
his true love later in the story. Shakespeare uses metaphors to build a personal identity before Romeo
meets Juliet. Shakespeare uses symbolism to show the personal identity of Juliet s character of
becoming independent and reserved. One quote that shows Shakespeare uses similes to use personal
identity before Juliet met Romeo is when the nurse describes Paris as a lady s man by stating As all
the world why, he s such a man of wax (1.3.77). This quote shows how Juliet is getting pressured by
her mom and nurse to marry Paris, but decides not to. This relates to the central idea of personal
identity because the nurse and her mother are pressuring Juliet to marry Paris but doesn t want to, this
shows how Juliet is really independent and reserved by making

Mem Company, Inc.
CASE SUMMARY (PROBLEM STATEMENT) After sluggish sales growth in 1980, MEM
Company, Inc. was considering ways to increase sales for the company s line of men s toiletries. Two
main options surfaced; either 1) to expand distribution into food stores or 2) to introduce a new line
called Cambridge. MARKET OVERVIEW The men s toiletries market was divided into three groups
based on pricing, namely, exclusive, medium and mass priced category. MEM had competed primarily
in the medium priced market. Its principal toiletries were marketed under the English Leather line of
which generated 68.3% of total sales revenue. This was substantially more than any other line it
owned and it also had a market share only second to its main competitor, ... Show more content on

Initial 5 forces conclusions seem to hinge on a lack of competitive advantage to launch Cambridge in
the short run. RECOMMENDATIONS After a SWOT and 5 forces analysis, we would recommend
that MEM: 1. Delay the initial launch of Cambridge and in the meantime do the following: 2. Divert
energies and resources to expansion into food stores 3. Try to advance and maybe extend the product
life cycle of Racquet Club and Musk to a more mature stage 4. Phase out ‘dogs – Lime, Windrift and
Timberline based on BCG 5. Monitor the sales response for Blue Stratos, if negative, launch
Cambridge. The most important reason for delaying Cambridge s launch would be to help MEM avoid
direct competition with Shulton s Blue Stratos, since obviously; people never wear 2 types of colognes
at once given that these 2 lines have the exact same target market. Hence, it would make sense to
adopt a ‘wait and see strategy. Secondly, since MEM also has a strong opportunity to expand into
food stores, we feel it would be a more effective use of resources and manpower in this expansion in
the meantime rather than in Cambridge. This expansion into food stores could create greater brand
awareness for the MEM name as well as its other lesser profitable lines besides English Leather.
Furthermore, from our SWOT analysis, we believe the launch of

AIA Contract
In the instant matter, the 2007 settlement agreement reflects an intent to modify the prior AIA
Contract, not to fully extinguish it. Or, in the words of Judge Wallace, the 2007 settlement agreement
was merely a narrowing of the universe of potential claims, (E. 2283), but not an extinguishment of
the old contract. Leisner, 252 Md. at 564. First, paragraphs nineteen (19) and twenty two (22) of the
2007 settlement agreement expressly provide, this agreement shall not operate to release any claims or
rights that Metropolitan may have against WCS and/or its sureties under any warranty or guarantee or

at 214, all the rights and obligations of the prior agreement no exceptions. (E. 2267, 2269; Appellant s
Brief at p. 21). In this matter, the plain and unambiguous terms of the 2007 agreement consistent with
National Surety s concessions to this effect demonstrate that it was not clearly and satisfactorily
intended to fully extinguish[] all of the provisions of the earlier contract so as to completely discharge
the prior agreement. I.W. Berman Props., 276 Md. at 8; Clark, 286 Md. at 214; Restatement (Second)
of Contracts § 279 cmt. a. Accordingly, National Surety s position is ultimately implausible because:
1) the 2007 agreement expressly incorporates provisions of the AIA Contract; 2) the integrated
provisions of the AIA Contract further incorporate the AIA Contract in its entirety; and 3) various
other provisions that fall outside the scope of the 2007 agreement still governed the parties
relationship. As such, the 2007 agreement was not a substitute

The During The Civil War
As tumultuous as the United States was during the Civil War, the period of reconstruction was filled
with a similar sense of uncertainty; the Confederate states had to be assimilated back into the Union
but there were many conflicting views on how this should be done. While the Thirteenth Amendment
had already emancipated the Africans living in the Southern territories, it did not guarantee them equal
treatment. Still up for debate was whether Africans would be given the equal protection under the law,
citizen status, and the right to vote. While the South had been defeated militarily, it still fought to
preserve its way of life through politics, and much of the political debates during the Reconstruction
period would define the futures of the African Americans.
The position of blacks in America had long been a point of debate, both ethically and politically. Many
Northern people before the Civil War sympathized with African slaves and recognized that slavery
might be morally wrong, but could not care less when it came to doing something about it; slavery, for
the most part, was a Southern tradition and not their issue. However, as more states were being
admitted to the Union, the issue of slavery became politically important for the North when
maintaining the balance of slave states and free states. With the release Uncle Tom s Cabin, causing
more Northern people to join the abolitionist movement, and the election of the slavery opponent
Abraham Lincoln, the South felt

Cultural Identity Among Sudanese Youth
Who are we? A study on cultural identity among Sudanese youth. Background Who am I or who are
we? are both questions that require in depth knowledge of identity. A complex sociological and
psychological phenomenon, identity has been classified into many types. Self identity is defined as an
individual s awareness and expression of their distinctive characteristics. Weinreich (1986) highlighted
that it is influenced by both the individual s past experiences and future aspirations and contributes to
the formation of one s self esteem, and individuality. It also indicates the individual s capacity for self
reflection (Leary Tangney 2003). Cultural identity is the shared identity by all members of a social
group and describes the expression of that group s affiliations (Weinreich Saunderson 2003). It helps
them gain a sence of belonging and creates strong bonds of association. This sence of cultural identity
can be through similarities in nationality, locality, ethnicity, social class, religion, generation or any
form of distinct social group characteristics. However, there may be differences between members
with these shared cultures. Ancestry, skin tone, spoken language, and political attitudes can all
distinguish between individuals within social groups (Holliday, 2010). This can lead to discrimination,
tribalism and racism as society members evaluate those who are in the group from those who are out
of the group (Cote Levine 2002). Sudan has a population

Being organized will help you so much throughout middle school. The main reason to be organized is
because it will make you feel less stressed. Let s say you just stuff homework in your backpack when
your backpack is already full of papers, then the next day you will have so much stress rummaging
through your backpack for a single paper. Being prepared is essential. I have seen many people get
written up or even a detention because they forgot a book. Time management is key in middle school.
If you get homework from every class and it is all due the next day, don t do it all at 10:00 PM, this is
single handedly the worst thing you can do in middle school. Also don t procrastinate. Now this falls
under the same category as time management, but this usually has to do with projects, not homework,
Let s say Mrs. Delucia gives you a project to do over Christmas break, don t wait until the last
weekend before we come back to school to do the whole science project, If you do two things will
happen, one, you will have a stress filled weekend and that is not good. Number two, you usually won
t get a good grade on the project because you rushed the project that was meant to be done over a span
of two weeks, and you decided to do it in two

Cardiothoracic Surgeon Research Paper
A cardiothoracic surgeon is a physician who specializes in the surgical performance of any tissues and
organs located between the collarbones and the diaphragm. Which would include the heart, lungs,

Noah s Piety In The Play
In the York Corpus Christi Plays, many of the characters are so over top, so remarkably buffoonish
that those characters are ultimately quite comedic in effect. To a modern audience, a comedic biblical
character may seem blasphemous it may seem morally wrong to laugh at Jesus s executioners as they
struggle to crucify Christianity s most important figure. However, when examining exactly how those
characters function in the play, the comedic nature of those characters may not be wholly blasphemous
in effect. For example, do those comedic executioners only make the audience laugh at Jesus s
crucifixion, or do they emphasize Jesus s calm and solemn nature? Similarly, plays about Noah s ark
and the great flood include comedic characters, yet those plays do not feel totally blasphemous.
Instead, the inclusion of a variety of characters in these plays seems more nuanced. In the York Corpus
Christi Play The Building of the Ark, Noah s piety is established through his undying trust in God and
his general ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout his encounter with God, Noah does not question God s intentions or his plan. The only
thing Noah questions is his own ability to perform such great actions (which is, again, related to his
pious humility), never God s general plan. God explains to him his plan, and Noah ends the play by
telling God that he will go and fulfill God s wishes: Abowte this werke now bus me wende, (PAGE #,
l. 148). Not only is Noah humble, he is also obedient and trusts in his God. In attributing Noah s piety
to humility, trust in God, obedience, and gratitude, The Building of the Ark subsequently praises these
attributes and establishes them as virtues. Thus, the play not only categorizes Noah as pious (and
explains what exactly makes him a pious character), the play also makes the public aware of how one
can become pious like

Financial Disclosure Of A Company
In any business operations, full financial disclosure refers to the provision of the necessary
information about a company for better decision making by the people accustomed. It is the financial
revelation of a given company. There are some financial disclosures in any business that ensure proper
understanding of financial statements to the financial readers, or potential auditors. Examples are the
annual financial reports and the financial declarations of the company. The annual financial reports of
the enterprise are very useful since they discloses the revenues recognized in the business, and the
accountability of the inventories plus the income taxes accounted for during that period of operation.
Second, is the disclosure of this financial statements which gives the actual revelation of the company

Essay on Bench Press
Bench Press
For lifters looking to create the classic He Man physique, the single most important upper body
workout is the bench press. The bench press builds the upper arm, chest, and shoulders. The muscles
here have a great impact on making it look like you posses great strength, which is an important factor
for many lifters. This workout is also one of the easiest lifts, since you are lying down on a static
bench that prevents most unnecessary movement.
To perform the bench press, lie face up on the bench with your eyes directly under the weight bar.

and let it hang down in front of your body with your arms fully extended. From there, slowly bend
only your elbows and swing the weight upward until it touches your chest. Lower the weight by
merely reversing the previous motion. Let the weight fall back down into its starting position with
your arms locked, where you will be ready for another rep.
Keep your back completely steady when lifting the weights up and lock your elbows after every rep. It
is common for lifters doing curls to rock backward without fully extending their arms, but doing so
risks injury and doesn t give a full bicep workout.

Squats are the single most important workout for the lower body. This workout alone will exercise
over sixty percent of your body s muscle. This is because the squat works your buttocks, thighs,
hamstrings, and more. As you can see, your legs have the highest concentration of muscle in your
body. For a well rounded routine, then, it is essential to do the squat lift.

What Was The Influence Of Ashoka
The world has had many great leaders, but some of those leaders were ruthless and violent. Let s
travel back to 304 BC, when the new prince Ashoka Maurya was born to Rani Shubhadrangi and
Maharaja Bindusara, in the ancient city of Patliputra (Which is now alongside modern day Patna).
Ashoka grew up to be a dauntless, troublesome and savage young man. He admired hunting, and
legend has it, he killed a lion only with a wooden stick. His older half brothers were alarmed by this,
as they feared Ashoka, and persuaded their father to post him as a general to distant borders of the
Mauryan Empire.

What Was The Truman Doctrine
Stalin s occupation of Eastern Europe was not self serving nor was it aggressive.
This can be supported by noticing the positive impacts Stalin s occupation made and by using America
as a comparison always noting that America had many more self serving incentives.
The US and USSR both would have both preferred that the other disappear but since this would
involve mutually assured destruction a system of global management called the Cold War was
established.
According to the orthodox view, the Cold War was caused by Soviet aggression in which the USA
tried to contain and protect the world by means of the Marshall plan and Truman doctrine. It is

The US used Western Europe as a source of income by supplying it with exclusively American

3.1Introduction to power and authority
As Weber suggested one of the way to understanding how organizations change was to study the
power and authority. In Weber s model, there are differences between power and authority. Power
means the chance that someone within a social relationship, and will be in a position to perform his

authority? Authority was defined as the probability of certain controls or the orders which being

Near the archaeological site of Kouyunjik in ancient Nineveh, the capital of Assyria, now modern
Iraq, one of the most astounding and significant discoveries was uncovered in northern Mesopotamia
by an English archaeologist named Austen Henry Layard. The Royal Library of Ashurbanipal, named
after the last great king of the Assyrian Empire (668 627 BC), contained a collection of thousands of
cuneiform tablets dating from the 7th Century BC buried in the Royal Palace of King Sennacherub.
Another set was found in the same mound three years later yielding the Palace of Ashurbanipal. Found
in late 1849 and 1852, the collection has opened windows into the ancient cultures that flourished
even before the period, their science, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Revelations of Izal, Jebidiah stated, had great significance to the narrative of the Book of Gates.
Written in the Akkadian cuneiform script, the twenty four clay tablets comprising the Nurubi
Fragments contain histories, records and divinations of a prophet named Izal, while others contain
clay tablet engravings of the individual text narratives depicting his miracles, the cities and the First
Gods. Collectively they are called The Revelations of Izal or the Miracles of Izal . For all the texts in
the tablets only ten contain prophetic interaction with the prophet Izal s connections with the Book of
Gates. Two contain a front Title Page introduced by another ancient priest named Vol Hom of Ita,
another a Corean map. Another a tablet called Izal and the Celestial Alignment. The last
representations of two end time characters. Together they introduce the land of Cor, an even more
ancient collection of nations that existed before recorded history, and was according to Jebidiah
believed to have been located within the boundaries of the Caspian Sea, that fell birthing the first
Sumerian city states during the prehistoric Ubaid and Uruk

Debt and Usury Case Usury
History and Background To begin my research, I wanted to get a clear understanding of just exactly
what usury was and how it came about. The word usury is derived from both the Medieval Latin word
usuria, meaning interest or excessive interest , and from the Latin word usura, which simply means
interest . At that point in time, the definition of usury meant the charging of interest on loans, but over
time after the legislation of countries to limit the rate of interest on loans, the definition of usury came
to mean the interest above the lawful rate. As it stands today, usury would be found to mean the
charging of unreasonable or relatively high rates of interest. The practice of usury can be traced back
over four ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Adam Smith, who was considered the Father of the Free market Capitalism and known for his general
advocacy of laissez fair economics, however, was strongly in support of controlling usury (Jadlow,
1977; Levy, 1987). While he didn t want to completely exclude interest, he was in favor of the
imposition of an interest rate ceiling (Smith, 1937). Another reformist was Silvio Gesell, a successful
nineteenth century merchant in Germany and Argentina, who condemned interest on the basis that his
sales were more often related to the pride of money than people s needs or the quality of his products
(Gesell, 1904). His proposal of making money a public service subject to a use fee led to widespread
experimentation in Austria, France, Germany, Spain Switzerland, and the United States under the
banner of the so called stamp script movement , but these initiatives were all squashed when their
success began to threaten the national banking monopolies (Kennedy, 1995).
Usury Law
Generally, usury law is used for the most part in the handling of consumer credit cases that involve the
statutes and regulations which limit the charges that creditors may assess when extending credit to
consumers. There are many statutes and regulations which restrict credit charges. The oldest of these
are referred to as general usury statutes which are established to set the maximum rate of interest that
can be charged in any loan transaction in a

Under The Dome Research Paper
INTRODUCTION
October 29, 2015, the People s Republic of China s (PRC) state run news agency Xinhua announces
the government s plan to end the iconic one child policy initiated by Deng Xiaoping in the 1970s,
allowing up to two children per family. Originally implemented to preserve economic growth from an
excessively fast growing population, this new move marks a watershed in China s situation,
confronted to a low female to male ratio and an aging population. Yet, despite massive dissuasion
campaigns, fines, and forced abortions, flaws in the enforcement of this policy have given way to
many means of bypassing the law. Some hospitals in Southern China propose fertility drugs designed

These methods constitute modern examples of the concept at the center of our study: circumvention of
established order. By circumvention, we understand the act of getting around or skirting something,
and by order, we mean not only government authority and laws, but also administrative institutions,
traditional economic practices and customs, as well as social and moral standards.
In Under the Dome (穹顶之下), a documentary film on air pollution in China released on February
28, 2015, former China Central Television journalist Chai Jing does not simply blame industrialists
responsible for steel and coal factories and state owned oil and gas companies, mainly China National
Petroleum Corporation and its sub branches PetroChina and Sinopec. She also, and perhaps most
importantly, points out the responsibility of the government and its Ministry of Environmental
Protection, who are unable to enforce environmental regulation and anti pollution laws in a society
focused on economic performance. Rather than a factual and scientifically accurate account of China s
situation, Ms. Chai s documentary takes on a simplified but didactic approach and

Slumdog Millionaire Sociology
Media plays a significant role in our society. It is all around us, from the music we listen to on the
radio, the shows we watch on the television, to the articles that we read from the internet. Its main job
is to entertain, inform and educate society about what is going on in the world. Without it, the world
would be a dull place and people wouldn t know what is going on in the society. Listening to songs or
watching movies can be both delightful and relaxing, but this entertainment could possibly have a
negative effect; For instance, it could shift your behavior. While media can be very useful, it can also
impact our attitude negatively or positively depending on what we are listening or watching to.
So how exactly does the media change ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a matter of fact, it can shape people s attitude in a positive way. Let s take Slumdog millionaire,
directed by Danny Boyle, as an example. This movie is about Jamal, an 18 year old orphan from the
slums of Mumbai and a former street child, who is a contestant on Who Wants to Be Millionaire and is
one question away from the grand prize. But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on
suspicion of cheating because of the impossibility of a simple Slumdog with very little education
knowing all the answers. Desperate to prove his innocence, Jamal tells the story of his life in the slum
where he and his brother grew up, of their adventures together on the road. Long story short, Jamal
manage to answer the last question correctly and wins the grand prize. This movie shows that people
should not judge others from their origins. I used to think that people from the slums were ignorant
before watching this movie. It certainly change my perspective and the way I view people from the
slums. Another thing that I learned from this movie is that if you have determination and perseverance
to pursue your goals, you will eventually reach them. Jamal works very hard to work his way up from
the slum to winning the grand prize. Overall, this movie inspires me to work harder and don t give up

The Secret Of The Undergraduate Program
Guiding Undergraduate Students
The secret in education lies in respecting the student. The role of the undergraduate program is to
understand what is being learned in the classroom, and taking it out of the educational structure. As
professionals, it is significant to have an outreach where the students are involved, can learn around
the student experience, are guided into real life jobs, and have a mentor who will be an advocate for
them. The foremost goal is trying to make the students more involved. If we can set up an
environment of positivity and influence, formerly, we can set the groundwork for their development in
the professional world. The professionalism that we put forth, and setting examples, that if their name
is attached to it, that it should be done to the best of their abilities; that there are no excuses not to give
all they have towards their goals.
Furthermore, making sure their experience and involvement in the school has reached beyond just
success in classes, nonetheless, finding success in their careers of choice. The message we should
stress, is learning as the primary activity and goal of the college environment; learning to challenge
the status quo while becoming innovators. In other words, the priority should be to set up a
comfortable environment where the students will be able to grow beyond what they learn. It should be
our job to give them this environment where they are comfortable to talk about almost any subject
manor. Additionally,

Flaws Of The Laws Against Sex Offenders
Flaws in our Laws According to the Center for Sex Offender Management It is estimated that one in
every five girls and one in every seven boys are sexually abused by the time they reach adulthood .
The United States has many laws aimed to reduce sexual offenders but the annual percentages for
sexual offenses have stayed the same ever since the laws were established. This research is not
intended to lessen the gravity of sexual offenses but to understand that our laws against sex offenders
are not preventing the sexual offenses. The main problem with the laws against sex offenders, are the
sex offender registries, the registries fail to act as a deterrent for sexual offenses and they encourage
vigilante justice. Also, people convicted of a minor sexual offense face harsh punishments and sex
offenders face many restrictions. In order to understand why the United States sex offender laws are
the way they are, we need to know the story behind on why they were created. In 1993, the Jacob
Wetterling Crimes Against Children and Sexually Violent Offender Registration Act was established
when Jacob Erwin Wetterling, an 11 year old boy, who was kidnapped, raped, and murdered by a
sexual predator, that lived near him. According to the article Rethinking Sex Offender Registries by
Lehrer, Eli, the Jacob Wetterling Crimes Against Children and Sexually Violent Offender Registration
Act required all states to establish their own registries . After the Wetterling Act was established an

Three Human Body Systems
The Three Human Body Systems
Describe the overall function of each system
Systems Function
Respiratory system The function of the respiratory system is to carry oxygen to the lungs. Oxygen in
the air diffuses out of the lungs and into the blood, while carbon dioxide diffuses in the opposite
direction, out of the blood and into the lungs. When we breathe, we inhale oxygen and exhale carbon
dioxide.
Digestive system The function of the digestive system is digestion and absorption. Digestion is the
breakdown of food into small molecules, which are then absorbed into the body.

My Mother has had a Positive Influence on My Life Essays
There have been a vast number of lives that have touched mine. Many different people have shared a
piece of their soul in my formation. However, it is my mother who is the most important and most
influential person in my life. My mother raised me by herself since the day I was born. My father was
abusive and she left to make a better life for the both of us. She has worked as many as four jobs at
one time. My mother wants to make sure my brothers and I have a better life than she did. It hasn t

Education is the key to success and without it you will not have a future. That is embedded in my
brain. As a teenager you listen to your parents nag on you all the time about school and just think it s
easier said than done. But for me I lived through paradigm, my mom went back to school while
raising us and working two jobs. She graduated from ASU with a 4.0 GPA and was honored and on
the news because of all she s done and went through in her lifetime. I have a difficult enough time
doing my homework and going to basketball training. My mother went to school full time, had two
jobs, cooked for us, cleaned, paid bills, went to our games and still managed to get a 4.0. She always
tells us if I can do it you can. Nothing in life comes easy you have to work for it, then you will be a
success, if it is just given to you then you will never recognize the value of it. My mother has taught
me to be courageous and always stand up for what I believe in. Every day, when I think about all that
she went through while raising us, I really am astonished. She has basically given up her life for us
making sure that we be successful in everyway. I can remember her letting me try out for club
basketball when I was in sixth grade, the money didn t even daunt her she always found away.

Some of their ideas are that the government should give a full time doctor and medical facility to the
disposal of the tribe, also to provide them work within the plant and a paycheck every week. Another
option is to lay down roads that connect the region to the mainland and then provide permanent
housing for all members of the tribe. Unfortunately, many African governments are known for being
unfair and uncivilized, and even corrupt, so how are we to know that they Kiyuku tribe would ever see
any of the money or other benefits they are being offered? What is to say they don t keep the money
for themselves and give away the housing and medical to other civilians in the country and not the
tribe people? Many people are lead to wonder if the tribal leaders are fully aware of the ramifications
tied to the plans that Colney and Pitts are offering them. For thousands of years this tribe has thrived
in this land, without the need for money, doctor training, permanent housing. One thing is perfectly
career with regards to the Kiyuku and its people, they have been surviving without the modern
technology in medicine, without machine driven construction of their homes and without farm hands
and tractors to grow their food. They have been surviving strong with the same skills that started with

Tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union in...
The Cold War was the name given to the time period from 1945 to 1991. After World War II, tensions
began between the United States and the Soviet Union. Fighting between the United States and Soviet
Union did not happen directly against each other. Instead they fought with arms races, space races, and
spying. Both superpowers set aside their differences to defeat Adolf Hitler, even before the war the
United States distrusted the Soviet Union. The United States disliked the way the Soviet Union ran
government. They believed that the Soviet Union wanted to overthrow the non communist
governments.
The Cold War was rising when a revolution in Russia occurred. One of the socialist majority parties,
the Bolsheviks overthrew the Czar, and it led to a communist government. The creation of the Union
of Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) feared America that the Soviet Union challenged the democratic
values of the United States. President Woodrow Wilson saw that the Bolsheviks leader Vladimir
wanted to spread communism around the world. Wilson sent troops in 1919 to try to defeat the
revolutions.
Before World War II, Soviet troops occupied most of Eastern Europe. Stalin promised to hold free
elections in these Eastern European nations. Later he broke that promise. By 1948, Communists
controlled the governments of every Eastern country except Yugoslavia. In each country the Soviets
placed dictators.
In 1946 British statesman (respected leader or figure) Winston Churchill, warned

Why Smoking Is A Public Health Problem
Why this issue is important to you?
Hookah smoking is an issue because it is a socially acceptable way to consume tobacco, especially
among young adult, due to its attractive fruity tastes and odor contrary to regular cigarettes. Hookah
lounges are a preferable place for many people to smoke, socialize, and in some cases to study. In my
opinion the spread of such lounges could increase the number of smokers, not to mention second hand
smoking. This is unfortunate, especially with the huge progress we have made in the fight against
cigarette smoking, while hookah lounges are getting more popular and may weaken our progression in
this matter. The pictures that were taken show how hookah lounges are clearly targeting college
students by opening across the street from main campus, to them this is just business, while to others
this is an important public health concern.
Why it is a public health problem?
Hookah smoking is a public health problem that is growing rapidly nationwide, especially among
young adults and college students.1 Hookah consumers have a perception that it is less harmful than
smoking cigarettes, while evidence show that hookah smoke contains many of the same harmful
toxins as cigarette smoke and has been linked to lung cancer, respiratory illness, low birth weight, and
periodontal disease. A report from the World Health Organization showed that a hookah smoker may
be exposed to a larger dose of smoke in one smoking session when compared to cigarette smoking,

brethren in the East of the yoke of Islamic rule and [liberate] the tomb of Christ .1 The acts of
these men, who were captivated by the declaration of this holy war, were written according to the
fervor within their hearts for God and the noble commission entrusted to them. Restoration of the

Kingdom of Jerusalem under Frankish rule. The presence of historically significant characters in
the film begs the question of accuracy from a historical perspective. Raynald of Châtillon, being
of the knightly class, was a crucial figure during the period of time presented in the film, which
provided a seemingly precise and parallel portrayal of the traditionally noted villain.
Furthermore, the idealized vision of the Kingdom was shared by the men of this time, notably
those portrayed in the film, as a once holy enterprise spoiled by the corruption of the men
embarking in this holy war. The Kingdom was more than stone upon stone in a foreign land, but
rather, a metaphysical entity in its own right.

Persuasive Essay On Dreaming
When humans are asleep they create new realities in their brains. To most people these realities are
called dreams. Dreaming occurs during the process of REM. REM is rapid eye movement. One of the
most asked questions about dreaming is why do humans dream. Humans dream because they have
certain wants or desires that cannot be achieved while being awake. Creating a new reality with
accomplish these desires and leave the person feeling good. Dreaming can create many feelings.
People think that dreaing only happens to creative people. But that is not true, everyone dreams!
Dreaming can come in many different ways. Dreams. What are they? Dreaming is the process when
humans are sleeping and they create stories based on their pleasures. Researchers have found that
there is still more to discover about the process of dreaming because the author says As with many
things concerning the brain and unconscious thought, there is so much that remains unknown about
dreaming (Hannah Nichols). Based on Hannah s article Dreams: Why do we Dream?, some possible
explanations for dreaming are unconscious desires and wishes. Every human wishes something in
their life, even when they do not realize it. Being asleep unlocks those desires and humans make a
reality where that wish comes true. The next possible explanation for dreaming is to interpret signals
from the brain and body. When humans fall asleep our brains are the most active than being awake.
Our brains try to process what is

Breast cancer is one of the prominent causes of death amongst women of all ages and ethnicities.
However, not many people are informed that men also are at risk for breast cancer. Many non profit

support for women but not men. Unfortunately less research and promotion of breast cancer in men is

Breast cancer in men is relatively uncommon but its incidence has been rising. Traditionally, the
management of breast cancer in men is based on extrapolation from clinical trials of breast cancer in
women, due to the much more extensive data available in women with this disease. There are,
however, unique characteristics that distinguish breast cancer in men and these should be taken into
consideration when managing this patient population (Massarweh, Alfred, Choi 1). Male breast cancer
is a rare disease that accounts for less than 1% of all cases of cancer in men (Sasco 1993). Limited
research has been conducted in this setting and most available data comes from observational
retrospective studies. Therefore treatment of male breast cancer has been extrapolated from results of
trials conducted in female patients, which renders knowledge uncertain about the optimal therapy in
this setting (Sousa, Berta 1). Studies account for less than 1% of all cases of cancer in men, men are
still capable of getting cancer. Though the rate is acute for men getting breast cancer or any other
cancer they should not be counted out of studies and not focused on, because the rate is so low, that

The Book Of Daniel Character Analysis
What makes a person a person? Some might say that we are human because we were born from our
parents having sex and creating us stemming from a unicell zygote. Others believe that a person is the
kind of entity that has the moral right to make its own life choices, to live its life without
(unprovoked) interference from others. (Illinois State University) So who is Daniel and how is he
defined as a person? Well, throughout The Book of Daniel by E.L. Doctorow, Daniel is portrayed as a
man whose rough childhood has sparked him in his adult life to victimize every single person around
him, especially his wife. It also seems that Daniel is not capable of enjoying any activity that a healthy
person would be able to, and also points towards him living a destructive and violent nature lifestyle.
According to Robert Forrey in his article Doctorow s The Book of Daniel : All in the Family. , The
Book of Daniel is about the fucking within and of the Jewish family, fucking in the literal, sexual, and
the figurative senses. (Forrey 168) Throughout the book, the narrator and Daniel display multiple
forms of sexual thoughts and actions which predominantly deal with his wife Phyllis. Daniel goes on
abusing Phyllis both mentally and physically. One of the first instances, when we picture Daniel as a
sexually violent person is when soft Phyllis from Brooklyn suffering yet another penetration and her
tormentor Daniel gently squeezing handfuls of soft ass while he probes her virtue.

Stakeholders can be directors, customers, employees, government, agencies, owners, suppliers, unions and the community from which the business draws its resources (Campbell, 2002). However, stakeholders are a crucial part for the success of business. If an organisation knows it s stakeholder, then it can determine where, there is prospect for business and also by analysing stakeholders, business can set its operational activities (Graham, 2005). However, stakeholder analysis can be successful if stakeholder mapping is done by selecting the appropriate stakeholder at correct stage. Stakeholder mapping consists two axis, whereas horizontal axis reveals the level of interest an individual has in the organisation and level of importance business will put on them. In contrast, vertical axis shows the level of influence or power an organisation has in the organisation. • 3. Personal Identity In Romeo And Juliet In the play, Romeo and Juliet it s about the two lover s that go against their fate of two different families that hate each other, but will soon end their relationship when Romeo and Juliet die together. The horrible love story creates Romeo and Juliet s relationship of being loving and caring. Shakespeare uses metaphors and symbolism to show personal identity through love. In the play by William Shakespeare uses metaphors to show the personal identity of Romeo s character traits of being loving and caring before Romeo meets Juliet. One quote that shows Shakespeare uses metaphors to use personal identity before Romeo meets Juliet is when Romeo expresses his feelings of having nobody to love by stating, Love is a smoke made with the fume of sighs (1.1.189). This shows how Romeo was affected when he lost his love, Rosaline. The quote relates to the central idea because it shows how Romeo is always caring about the people he loves. It proves my thesis of personal identity because he expresses his own feelings. Another quote that uses metaphors to use personal identity before Romeo meets Juliet is when Romeo describes how love is important to him by stating, The precious treasure of his eyesight lost (1.1.190). This quote shows that Romeo wants a pretty girl to love and care for. The quote relates to the central idea because it shows how love is important to Romeo. It proves my thesis of personal identity because Romeo s character traits will help him find his true love later in the story. Shakespeare uses metaphors to build a personal identity before Romeo meets Juliet. Shakespeare uses symbolism to show the personal identity of Juliet s character of becoming independent and reserved. One quote that shows Shakespeare uses similes to use personal identity before Juliet met Romeo is when the nurse describes Paris as a lady s man by stating As all the world why, he s such a man of wax (1.3.77). This quote shows how Juliet is getting pressured by her mom and nurse to marry Paris, but decides not to. This relates to the central idea of personal identity because the nurse and her mother are pressuring Juliet to marry Paris but doesn t want to, this shows how Juliet is really independent and reserved by making ... • 6. Mem Company, Inc. CASE SUMMARY (PROBLEM STATEMENT) After sluggish sales growth in 1980, MEM Company, Inc. was considering ways to increase sales for the company s line of men s toiletries. Two main options surfaced; either 1) to expand distribution into food stores or 2) to introduce a new line called Cambridge. MARKET OVERVIEW The men s toiletries market was divided into three groups based on pricing, namely, exclusive, medium and mass priced category. MEM had competed primarily in the medium priced market. Its principal toiletries were marketed under the English Leather line of which generated 68.3% of total sales revenue. This was substantially more than any other line it owned and it also had a market share only second to its main competitor, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Initial 5 forces conclusions seem to hinge on a lack of competitive advantage to launch Cambridge in the short run. RECOMMENDATIONS After a SWOT and 5 forces analysis, we would recommend that MEM: 1. Delay the initial launch of Cambridge and in the meantime do the following: 2. Divert energies and resources to expansion into food stores 3. Try to advance and maybe extend the product life cycle of Racquet Club and Musk to a more mature stage 4. Phase out ‘dogs – Lime, Windrift and Timberline based on BCG 5. Monitor the sales response for Blue Stratos, if negative, launch Cambridge. The most important reason for delaying Cambridge s launch would be to help MEM avoid direct competition with Shulton s Blue Stratos, since obviously; people never wear 2 types of colognes at once given that these 2 lines have the exact same target market. Hence, it would make sense to adopt a ‘wait and see strategy. Secondly, since MEM also has a strong opportunity to expand into food stores, we feel it would be a more effective use of resources and manpower in this expansion in the meantime rather than in Cambridge. This expansion into food stores could create greater brand awareness for the MEM name as well as its other lesser profitable lines besides English Leather. Furthermore, from our SWOT analysis, we believe the launch of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. AIA Contract In the instant matter, the 2007 settlement agreement reflects an intent to modify the prior AIA Contract, not to fully extinguish it. Or, in the words of Judge Wallace, the 2007 settlement agreement was merely a narrowing of the universe of potential claims, (E. 2283), but not an extinguishment of the old contract. Leisner, 252 Md. at 564. First, paragraphs nineteen (19) and twenty two (22) of the 2007 settlement agreement expressly provide, this agreement shall not operate to release any claims or rights that Metropolitan may have against WCS and/or its sureties under any warranty or guarantee or any claims or rights that Metropolitan may have against WCS and/or its sureties under any warranty or guaranty or any claims or rights that Metropolitan may have against WCS and/or its surety for latent defects[,] (E. 887 (emphasis ... In this matter, the plain and unambiguous terms of the 2007 agreement consistent with National Surety s concessions to this effect demonstrate that it was not clearly and satisfactorily intended to fully extinguish[] all of the provisions of the earlier contract so as to completely discharge the prior agreement. I.W. Berman Props., 276 Md. at 8; Clark, 286 Md. at 214; Restatement (Second) of Contracts § 279 cmt. a. Accordingly, National Surety s position is ultimately implausible because: 1) the 2007 agreement expressly incorporates provisions of the AIA Contract; 2) the integrated provisions of the AIA Contract further incorporate the AIA Contract in its entirety; and 3) various other provisions that fall outside the scope of the 2007 agreement still governed the parties relationship. • 8. The During The Civil War As tumultuous as the United States was during the Civil War, the period of reconstruction was filled with a similar sense of uncertainty; the Confederate states had to be assimilated back into the Union but there were many conflicting views on how this should be done. While the Thirteenth Amendment had already emancipated the Africans living in the Southern territories, it did not guarantee them equal treatment. Still up for debate was whether Africans would be given the equal protection under the law, citizen status, and the right to vote. While the South had been defeated militarily, it still fought to preserve its way of life through politics, and much of the political debates during the Reconstruction period would define the futures of the African Americans. The position of blacks in America had long been a point of debate, both ethically and politically. Many Northern people before the Civil War sympathized with African slaves and recognized that slavery might be morally wrong, but could not care less when it came to doing something about it; slavery, for the most part, was a Southern tradition and not their issue. However, as more states were being admitted to the Union, the issue of slavery became politically important for the North when maintaining the balance of slave states and free states. With the release Uncle Tom s Cabin, causing more Northern people to join the abolitionist movement, and the election of the slavery opponent Abraham Lincoln, the South felt ... • 9. Cultural Identity Among Sudanese Youth Who are we? A study on cultural identity among Sudanese youth. Background Who am I or who are we? are both questions that require in depth knowledge of identity. A complex sociological and psychological phenomenon, identity has been classified into many types. Self identity is defined as an individual s awareness and expression of their distinctive characteristics. Weinreich (1986) highlighted that it is influenced by both the individual s past experiences and future aspirations and contributes to the formation of one s self esteem, and individuality. It also indicates the individual s capacity for self reflection (Leary Tangney 2003). Cultural identity is the shared identity by all members of a social group and describes the expression of that group s affiliations (Weinreich Saunderson 2003). It helps them gain a sence of belonging and creates strong bonds of association. This sence of cultural identity can be through similarities in nationality, locality, ethnicity, social class, religion, generation or any form of distinct social group characteristics. However, there may be differences between members with these shared cultures. Ancestry, skin tone, spoken language, and political attitudes can all distinguish between individuals within social groups (Holliday, 2010). This can lead to discrimination, tribalism and racism as society members evaluate those who are in the group from those who are out of the group (Cote Levine 2002). Sudan has a population ... • 13. Noah s Piety In The Play In the York Corpus Christi Plays, many of the characters are so over top, so remarkably buffoonish that those characters are ultimately quite comedic in effect. To a modern audience, a comedic biblical character may seem blasphemous it may seem morally wrong to laugh at Jesus s executioners as they struggle to crucify Christianity s most important figure. However, when examining exactly how those characters function in the play, the comedic nature of those characters may not be wholly blasphemous in effect. For example, do those comedic executioners only make the audience laugh at Jesus s crucifixion, or do they emphasize Jesus s calm and solemn nature? Similarly, plays about Noah s ark and the great flood include comedic characters, yet those plays do not feel totally blasphemous. Instead, the inclusion of a variety of characters in these plays seems more nuanced. Not only is Noah humble, he is also obedient and trusts in his God. In attributing Noah s piety to humility, trust in God, obedience, and gratitude, The Building of the Ark subsequently praises these attributes and establishes them as virtues. The bench press builds the upper arm, chest, and shoulders. The muscles here have a great impact on making it look like you posses great strength, which is an important factor for many lifters. This workout is also one of the easiest lifts, since you are lying down on a static bench that prevents most unnecessary movement.
