The Integration Of Green Logistic
Integration of Green Logistic Introduction Success of an environmentally friendly supply chain will
require an integration of efforts, such as reduction in transportation requirements, implementation of
reverse logistics practices that are in harmony with environmental considerations, and an intuitive
infrastructure which reduces adverse measures directly impacting the environment. The United States,
being one of the top countries in leading eco friendly supply chain, has a friendly supply chain
aspiration for a company to be successful. Many other countries try to be correct in flourishing
possible developments in producing consumer goods that will attract them to a large fairly straight
forward company. Manufacturers, retailers, and companies in the hospitality sector are valuable
contributors to a greener supply chain surround themselves with thousands of proponents, goods, and
services that maintain a successful ecosystem. Wal Mart is a powerful organization who has developed
itself into the world s largest retailer, eco friendly, and supply chain company (Bonner, 2010).
Becoming an eco friendly supply chain managerial company, a company must focus their efforts
reducing waste to nearly nothing, utilizing 100 percent renewable energy, and selling sustainable
products. Apple, Inc, as well as, Wal Mart, has focused their priorities on creating an eco friendly
supply chain that is competing with multiple factories throughout the world. By developing an eco

The clouds were brewing. A storm was coming. The sunlight that once shunned evil was engulfed by
darkness. Crows encircled the sky as they engulfed their craws with it. I was called for dinner. I lifted
my head to find a fraction of sunlight caress my forehead. Its strength fades away as the day quickly
becomes night. Again, I was called for dinner. I made my way to the hall. The atmosphere was tense.

Essay about Shakespeare’s Macbeth and Milton’s Satan of...
Shakespeare s Macbeth and Milton s Satan of Paradise Lost bear many similarities to each other. Both
characters possess diabolical ambitions to overthrow the natural order of their circumstances for the
lust for power. Both committed atrocious acts that led to others downfalls Macbeth committed
multiple acts of murder, and Satan vowed to corrupt humankind and did so with deceit. Both are
portrayed as complex characters with, in some cases, conflicted feelings about their evil doings. Aside
from these similarities, there are significant differences as well. For one thing, the incitation of both
characters evil doings differ. Macbeth, it could be argued, is a victim of fate, whereas Satan is
portrayed in Paradise Lost as very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Satan s fall can be easily broken up into four steps: he came to think of himself too highly, putting
himself equal to God; he made a following for himself; he plotted a rebellion with his fellow rebel
angels; and he attempted to carry out the rebellion. His attempt to overthrow God and obtain power
was, however, futile and easily thwarted. Satan was severely demoted and he spent the rest of the plot
trying to pervert every good thing as if it would be to any avail to do so. He attempted to exert his own
powers over creation and tried to get a foothold so that he could gain more power. His extreme
arrogance led to his fall from grace. This is the same willfulness which lies behind his rebellious claim
in heaven that he is self begot ...What Satan the general refuses to give up here...is...individual glory,
which he pursues at all costs. (Loewenstein, 56 57). Considering that Satan was an angel in the
presence of God at the beginning, he had no excuse such as ignorance to claim. Satan s rebellion
began within himself with little else to prompt him. Satan had the ambition to raise a rebel force, but
army or no army, he surely would have thought himself more powerful than he ought have. His pride
also got in the way of him ever being restored to his former position. As part of his task of exculpating
God...Satan explains that even if he could repent and get back to heaven by act of grace , it would do

Traumatic Enlightenment
Traumatic Enlightenment
Today s social vocabulary frequently uses the word nihilism interchangeably with the word
pessimistic, such as abstinence and celibacy. Admittedly, famous celebrities and philosophers, with
these characteristics, do share resemblances in their personality traits. Historically, in the mid to late
nineteenth century, the term Nihilism had a completely different meaning. While under the rule of
Czar Nicholas II, the working class complained about how he treated the majority of the nation and
demanded immediate reform. After refusing to acknowledge the pleas of the citizens, the last Russian
Czar and his family were assassinated systematically by those he was set to govern. Afterwhich the
people decided to form a new government, which resulted in the creation of Socialism. Despite its
original ideology nihilistic mindsets do not occur naturally, rather they are a result of traumatic
experiences.
This state of consciousness is often mistaken for one possessing a negative perspective on life. Due to
this inconvenience, nihilist are portrayed on entertainment outlets are as those who have cynical
thoughts or emotions . The entertainment industry, who is responsible for the numerous misleading
concepts, spreads this idea of negativity by broadcasting on public television, utilizing the writers of
movie industries, spreading images/articles on social media, and the clever use of newspaper cartoons.
For example, the Calvin and Hobbes cartoons have

Gender Inequality In The Film A League Of Their Own
Gender Inequality To this day, gender inequality still exists across the world. While it squeezes itself
into our society, four mainly focus on the true aspects on what it is like to experience such inequality.
For example, women in the work force, the family life, the state, and sexes can lead to all forms of
discrimination. Did the screenwriters correctly portray what women back then suffered from?
Director, Penny Marshall s, A League of Their Own, demonstrates a taste of what women during the
1940 s we re told on how to act and live. The movie portrays unfairness between the character s looks
based on gender, and differences within their family. Marshall also shows when and why this
discrimination was occurring. Such as including scenes that displayed the time period and the
importance of continuing on America s favorite activities after men left for war. Adding on, including
the time frame of a book or movie is crucial, because if provides information and gives the audience

Approximately one billion cases of the Common Cold occur annually in the United States, according

Even though there is said to be more than 100 viruses that cause a Common Cold, the rhinovirus is
generally the culprit that enters the body through the eyes, mouth, or nose. The rhinovirus

Common Cold. The signs and symptoms of this mild contagious infection are nasal inflammation,

Who Are The Souls In Dante s Inferno
The second lesson he learns, is how justly God punishes the souls in purgatory. All of the
punishments, or penances, relate to their sin on Earth. Those who were excommunicated, must wait in
Ante Purgatory for 30 years longer than their time excommunicated. With the excommunicated are
those who repented late in life. All the other souls had penance that directly matched their sins on
Earth. The first three terraces contain the souls whose main sin involved love that was perverted. The
sinners loved their neighbors harm, and their own betterment. After they enter through the gate of
Purgatory, the first souls he encounters are the prideful. These souls are bent over with huge stones on
their backs, slowly walking around the terrace. Their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After the terrace of the wrathful, Dante and Virgil lose all the strength in their limbs, and the pair have
to rest. Ironically this terrace is filled with the souls of the slothful and lazy, who always lay dormant
and still. They are forced to run continuously, and never rest. The next terrace Dante goes to is for the
avaricious or the greedy. They are flat on their faces, their gaze fixed on Earth, and their backs to
heaven. This represents the way they acted in life, turning their attention toward Earthly goods,
subsequently turning their back to God. On the next terrace, there is a huge tree with sweet smelling
fruit. They starved souls of the gluttonous have to resist the temptation to eat the fruit, a temptation
they could not overcome on Earth. Also, similar to the slothful, the gluttonous have to run around
forever. The last terrace contains the souls of the lustful. The terrace is surrounded by a wall of fire,
that the souls must continuously run through. These flames represent the misdirected sexual desire
these souls had in life. All the souls in Purgatory have a penance that represents what they lacked or a

The Roman Catholic Church
There are always issues in the world that we have to face, they change with time but a lot of them
seem to have a common theme and that is indifference. I cannot help but think that people are
uncomfortable with anything that is different from the norm. Many of us are set in our ways and we
quickly remove any one who threatens that. A lot of us come from a set of foundations that help create
who we are. While doing research for this paper I searched for topics that interest me. I also searched
for a topic that anyone would be able to give their opinion on. This search lead me to the 266th Pope
of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis. Much to my surprise he is extremely popular in this
modern time. Many call him the pope of the new world. The model of millions of Catholics around
the world. As a child my family often had figures from the Catholic Church around the house. Saints,
crosses and even small statues of popes who served in the past. As I grew older I came to realize that
this was a common trend in a Dominican family home. As I reflect back into what my childhood was
like and how huge of impact religion had on my core foundations. I thought of family members who I
thought had the biggest impact.
I was a caregiver to my aunt, she had stage four lung cancer, this involved me helping her get ready
for the day but before she could do anything in the morning my aunt would watch a church service
with her rosary in hand. This would take an at least an hour of my day

Lab Report Sample Essay
Introduction The exposed roadcut east of the Doc Long Picnic area, about 9 miles north of the town of
Cedar Crest on the east side of the Sandia Mountains, provided an exceptional site to study weathering
processes. The exposed Precambrian Sandia Granite offered a place to collect data and test the
hypothesis that biotite content, grainsize, and associated inclusions have influenced the amount of
weathering that has occurred. The granite underlies the Great Unconformity and the Madera
Formation, which is a carbonate succession with interbedded sandstones, Pennsylvanian in age. The
granitic outcrop composed of the dominant minerals quartz, potassium feldspar (some plagioclase),
and biotite (field book) displayed different degrees of weathering. Different weathering features in the
exposure such as grussification, jointing, and corestones suggested that grain size and biotite content
were not the only influences on weathering processes taking place.
Methods
Data collection for assessing our hypothesis consisted of making several observations along the
exposed granite. The main observations noted included mineral composition, weathering rank, mean
grain size, percent biotite, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Analysis Of I Would Like About Tyler Perry Whose Career...
In this final chapter, I would like to begin by talking about Tyler Perry whose career has been guided
by his faith. He was named the highest paid man in entertainment by Forbes in 2011 having earned
US$130 million between May 2010 and 2011. This is a long way from the boy who grew up being
physically abused by his father and sexually abused by a woman in his neighborhood at the age of
only 10. By contrast to his father s beatings, Perry s mother took him to church where he found a safe
haven and contentment. Although he did not finish high school he was inspired to write by seeing
someone on the Oprah Winfrey Show talking about the therapeutic effect that writing gives a person.
He started writing a series of letters to himself which would eventually become the basis for the
musical I Know I ve Been Changed which was successfully performed in 1998. Using comedy to tell
the story, the play focused on how the two adult protagonists overcame the horrors of their lives by
their profound belief in God. However, before this success Perry was in Atlanta, Georgia and had used
up all of his savings and became homeless. For a period of six years in the 1990 s, he was living in his
car, or as he told Oprah, living in a pay by the week hotel that was full of crackheads. The play was
first performed in 1990 and was based in Christian values with the themes of forgiveness, dignity and
self esteem being very prominent as well as addressing the critical social issues of

weaknesses and threats that I face. By identifying these four factors in my life, I hope to use them to
my advantage as my career progresses. Realizing my own strengths and improving upon my own

Living with an open mind also helps me be more creative. It lets me look at the world around me with
fresh eyes, and it helps me gain confidence in myself and my own ideas. It is important to recognize
my own weaknesses in order to improve upon them and know where I stand with any competitors. My
main weaknesses are my communication skills and falling into the habit of procrastination.
Communication, particularly with a large group of people, is sometimes difficult for me. I find it hard
to speak up and be confident, and to network and find my place within the academic community.
Going forward, I am trying to improve my interview and public speaking skills in order to combat this
weakness. Another weakness that I have is that I become distracted easily, while at the same time I am
a perfectionist. This leads to a great deal of procrastination and issues with time management.
Although I am dedicated to my education, factors such as commitments to friends and family and
occasional lack of motivation keep me off track and lead to procrastination. Having weaknesses is
something that can be harmful when competing with others. However, having weaknesses is
inevitable, so it is important for me to identify and deal with them instead of avoiding them.
According to Robbins and Coulter, opportunities are positive trends in the external environment,
threats are negative trends (239). Throughout the past few years, I have faced threats that

Critical Aspects Of The Education System
One of the most critical aspects of the education system is the assessment of pupils learning. Biggs
Tang (2011) determine that assessment is the senior partner in the instructional process. Get it wrong,
and everything else collapses (page 195 7). Assessment is one of the most important aspects of
teaching and learning, it ensures that student learning is checked and conclusions are made, to put it
simply, assessment shows how well pupils have learned what they were supposed to, and it is the only
feasible way to check if learning outcomes have been achieved or not. Throughout this essay I will be

In 1998, under Margaret Thatcher s government, the Education Reform Act was put into place. This
brought into play compulsory tests for our 7, 11 and 14 year olds. In Scotland, Wales and Northern
Ireland however, SATs for 7 year olds have been abolished, the government has realised children at 7
were much too young to be put under the pressure of tests. When children reach 11 they sit their year 6
SAT s and these results are used in league tables to compare schools. These results can be very
negative for the schools, teachers, and pupils involved. Again this is very different in Scotland, Wales
and Northern Ireland where the year 6 Sat s league tables have been abolished. Why is it that England
is so out of kilter with the rest of the United Kingdom?
In 2003, the QCA asked primary school teachers how long they spent on average each week preparing
children for their year 6 sat s. Shockingly they found that 10 hours a week was spent preparing
children for the end of year SATs and between Christmas and May, schools spend nearly 50% of their
teaching time coaching children. This leaves very little time to teach anything other than the topics
needed to pass the tests. Pupils become very demotivated and stressed with the pressure of failure.
This was shown quite movingly when the BBC Panorama team interviewed a year 6 student, the 11
year old told interviewers: I m really scared about my SATs, the head teacher came and talked to us

The ability to have ownership over something, tangible or not, can give a person a sense of value or
superiority when comparing themselves to others. Furthermore, as humans, it is easy to desire things
as one s own and claim it, but the way something is treated differs from person to person. As a result,
the material items and skills a person has ownership over provides a glimpse of his or her s true
nature.
According to Plato, the ownership of objects can hold a detrimental stake to the character of a person.

as property was a recurring norm in various societies, a vivid description about the white southern

Unlike tangible goods, education and skills, for the most part, should come free and there are no limits
or an extent placed on such concepts. Everyday, people are given an opportunity to learn, in school or

Einstein, there is no limit to how much one can learn and that intellectual growth will only cease at
death. This determination to strive to improve and extend on one s intellect and skills develops from
the ownership of such intangible characteristics that make up a person. Einstein makes a point to never
give up ownership of one s own ability to freely learn and express curiosites, and while it seems
impossible to have intangible objects taken, history reveals times where it has occurred. The most
prominent occurrence would be that of Rosa Parks who, aware of her civil rights, stood her ground

Film Analysis Of Lars Von Trier s Dogville
Jacob Grady
Professor Burrell
English 242
October 12th, 2017
Analysis of Lars von Trier s Dogville Lars Von Trier s film Dogville is an interesting European spin on
how America is viewed. Produced in 2003, performed by an almost all American cast, written by a
Danish director, Dogville becomes not only a film about how Europeans might see America; but how
the audience can interpret what Trier is presenting to them. Dogville, is often viewed and critiqued by
many as a cynical spin on how the United States is perceived. After all, this film is one of the easiest
ways to see how a director can use the many Brechtian techniques to keep the audience from being
absorbed in the film.
Trier places his actors within what the audience can observe to be a small town. He carefully lays out
a map of buildings and other areas on the floor of a huge, undecorated studio. The audience when
introduced to Dogville are able to see a bird s eye view of what the town looks like. The furniture and
props are real, but there are no walls to obscure activities within each defined area; only solid chalk
lines separating what is a house, or a garden, or a town hall. Consequently, the audience can see
anything and everything that is happening all over the town; they may see a character tending to their
garden in the background while the camera is focused on other characters.
For most viewers, myself included for the first time through, Dogville is an oddly presented film that

Since October 1963 the nursing profession has been self regulated in Ontario by The College of

Summary Of The NovelThe Assault By Henry Mulisch
In the novel, The assault, Henry Mulisch s narrative style allows the readers to dig a lot deeper than to
just skim through the pages. By allowing the readers to put themselves inside the story, he brings out
in his novel the true meaning of what a human goes through and how they cope with tragedies from a
serious life event; in this case, a violent assault. By reading Mulisch s novel you get to see inside
Anton s miseries and see his life from a different perspective. Anton is constantly looking for
reassurance in his life for what happened to him in his violent childhood. The violence that had
happened to him has made him suppress his memories and he does not seek to find the true answers to
what had happened that horrible day. He tries to numb himself from his past and push through life to
try to live normally while trying to push past his feelings of his violence. While Anton struggles with
life and his suppressed memories, he faces several aspects of life throughout the time has helped him
stitch in the missing pieces of the violent occurrences of the assault. This brings himself one step
closer to coming to piece with all his memories each time he breaks down a piece of that distance that
he has formed between that life event and himself. This being said, Henry Mulisch shows the readers
how Anton eventually comes to terms with his suppressed memories of his violence from his past with
time.
The main aspect of the novel, The Assault, is the violence that has come upon Anton during his
childhood. The night of the murder of his family has been a heavy memory that has been sitting deep
inside his mind over the years. During the night of the assault, Anton mutters the words For I was born
with bad luck and I ll die with bad luck... (13) This passage is significant to the rest of the novel
because it gives an idea to the readers what kind of misery and misfortune Anton will encounter
throughout his life during each page of this novel. At first, Anton does not accept the violence that has
happened to him and is not willing to move on from his past. He does not want to face the memories
that have brought him such misery throughout his life. The memories of the violent assault are much
more painful to Anton

Overt Racism In Australia
Matthew Rawlings 20112410 Nationalism, Ethnicity, Race Essay
Instead of an overt racism that rejects individuals who do not fit into an existing Anglo Australian
template, contemporary racism relies on fear politics permeating heightened popular nationalism.
Discuss.
As we enter the 21st century, complex issues such as terrorism, immigration, multiculturalism, and
social cohesion have brought about a significant amount controversy and an abundance of emotive
rhetoric within Australian society. The fact that these issues have been politicised around a number of
elections has bought these matters to the forefront of public discussion, but rather than appealing to
the publics sense of compassion, the issues have been approached ... Show more content on

The growing number of displaced persons arising out of the Syrian Civil War in 2011 has become a
significant humanitarian crisis on a global scale, with several countries granting asylum to a number
of those effected. On the 9th of September 2015, the Australian Government announced that it will
make an extra 12,000 humanitarian places available in response to the conflicts in Syria and Iraq,
granting them a permanent visa. Australia has been largely criticised by the international community
regarding its special humanitarian stream identifying those most appropriate for resettlement, but
necessarily the most vulnerable people. The approach taken by the Australian Government, alongside
the continued sharing of news articles portraying migrants as rapists is demonstrative of this
heightened sense of popular nationalism identified in contemporary society, stemming from fear
tactics, as well as the an increased the sharing of information and opinion via new

Gender Bathrooms
Letting any Gender into any Bathroom, a good Idea?
Stores and different establishments around the world are having to face a difficult challenge of letting
people go into gendered bathrooms they assign themselves to, or having to enforce the rule of boys in
boys and girls in girls. There are many cases of this being shown in today s world. Target was the first
of letting people chose what bathroom suites them based on their choice of gender, and now they are
revoking it due to complications and backlash from customers, instead they are now making a
compromise that suites all but will cost them up to twenty million dollars. Although many people will
say gender bathrooms are foolish because gender is a choice, they protect the user, and they

Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children, Power Relationships...
Introduction This essay explores how unaccompanied asylum seeking children (UASC) are oppressed
in the UK. An unaccompanied asylum seeking child is a person under the age of eighteen who has left
their country of origin in order to seek refuge and is separated from both parents and are not being
cared for by an adult who, by law or custom has responsibility to do so (UNHCR, 1994:121). They are
therefore applying for asylum in their own right. Discrimination is the process of identifying that
someone is different and, due to this difference, treating them unfairly (Thompson, 2006). Xenoracism
is discrimination that is aimed at people specifically because they are from a different country, and are
therefore strangers (Sivanandan, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Power is the capacity to act in such a way as to control others (Harris, 1997:28). He argues that
everyone has at least some power, and that this power, for the relatively powerless, can be used to
influence the decisions of the dominant group. Unaccompanied asylum seeking children not disclosing
information can be seen as them exercising the little power they have. This can however have a
negative impact on their lives in the UK, for example, being placed under section 17 of the Children
Act instead of under section 20, which would offer the child more support. Foucault (1977) uses
discourse to relate to how language can be used to construct ideas and thoughts about groups.
Discourses and language can therefore help construct or reduce oppression (Thompson, 2006). If a
group has power, they have the ability and opportunity to fulfil or obstruct personal, relational, or
collective needs (Prilleltensky, 2008). If the dominant discourse of a less powerful group is positive,
the group with power may help that group fulfil their needs. If the dominant discourse of a less
powerful group is negative, such as with UASC, the powerful group may obstruct them in fulfilling
their needs, and therefore will cause oppression. Innes (2010) argues that the negative discourse of
asylum seekers as a threat to British society is portrayed in government literature

Role of Private Bankers and Wealth Managers
Jpz777 02/19/2013 Order # A2086484 With the global economy still struggling to fully recover from
the devastating effects of a sustained recession, the role of private bankers and wealth managers has
taken on a renewed sense of significance, as these professional money managers may be able to help
individuals and families rebuild their shattered finances. A competent and qualified wealth manager is
capable of developing a prudent investment strategy which is customized to best suit an individual
client, transforming simple liquid assets into the engines driving continual prosperity. In order to
maximize a client s return on investment (ROI) ratios, it is important for wealth managers to perform
due diligence by poring through banking records, transaction histories, investment portfolios, and
other factors of their financial health to determine the optimal money management and investment
strategy for their particular needs. This process is integral to the overall philosophy of Asset Liability
Management (ALM), a term which denotes the adaptation of the portfolio management process to
handle the presence of various constraints relating to the liabilities of an investor (Amenc, Martellini,
Milhau Ziemann, 2009), because recognizing a client s limitations is essential to helping them realize
their potential. The most effective and efficient wealth managers are those who actively work with
clients, fostering a personal understanding which strengthens the professional

Cultural Relativism And Morals And Codes
Philosophy has many different topics that are debatable and have been argued throughout its long
history. Cultural relativism is a very interesting and controversial topic in the philosophical/ religious
world. To further understand cultural relativism one must first learn the definition. Cultural relativism
is the view that Different cultures have different moral codes and values, therefore culture is
subjective and arbitrary. When given a closer look at cultural relativism we come to the conclusion
that it is not as plausible as it first appears and that certain moral values are needed in creating a
sustainable and thriving society (57).In This paper I will begin with a short analyst briefly stating the
beliefs of a cultural relativist, explaining their values and examining their views on cultural morals
and codes. Then moving on to analyzing the Argument of cultural differences which discusses the
view that there is no universal right or wrong when examining cultures moral views; a cultures morals
and values are simply a matter of opinion. Lastly I will confirm that every culture has a diminutive
amount moral views and values. As we observe cultural relativism a relativist of this theory would
assume the claim that all moral rules and values are only relative to culture; the views of a culture are
subjective and arbitrary. Meaning there is no real universal standard when examining another cultures
views and morals every standard is dependent on a cultures own

neuropsychological rehabilitation, the photography may be used to recover client s memories, work in
their personal identity, autobiographical history, as well as new roles and emotions (Weiser, 2014).

Pros And Cons Of Conformity
John F. Kennedy once said, Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth. There are
countless opinions, studies, and surveys such as these, which contribute a negative gist towards
conformity. Most individuals concentrate on how conformity damages, and destructs; and very rarely
focus on the constructive and favorable aspects of conformism. No one stops to understand why
people conform in the first place. Conformity benefits society in several ways and contradictory to
most beliefs, not everybody conforms.
Conformity is a vital part of developing a collective identity. While some might debate that conformity
restricts a lot of social liberty within individuals; the other perspective views conformity as an integral

Underdeveloped Medical Practices
The medical practices used today are called barbaric and underdeveloped, causing people in this state
to think that the doctors we have use no sense of logic when treating patients. But, there are a great
deal of people who beg to differ. Also, there are people who agree with the other critics and furious
families who blame the doctors for losing their loved ones. Medical practices, and medicine in
general, have helped the soldiers out on the battlefield in many ways, ranging from the lives that the
people save for quick and efficient surgeries, like amputation, to the sanitation of hospitals and
recovery stations, and the dietary regimes that help the soldiers, and even innocent bystanders, get

Well, in hospitals, of course. These hospitals, makeshift and actual hospitals, are very resourceful in a
way that our men fighting in the War don t have to lay around on threadbare blankets and have very
low food supply while they re healing. Makeshift hospitals right now are made out of old churches,
with volunteers to help the wounded, both men and women. They are installed with beds, and
washrooms where the wounded can clean up independently or with help from the nurses or their
assigned doctors. They have even installed a dietary regime to help the men heal faster! But, there are
still some questionable methods as to what the hospitals do. Our readers ask, What about the mobile
hospitals? and others, What about the training? . Sadly, the nurses in these hospitals aren t really
trained, especially the women. But, who says a woman needs to be trained to help men in need?
Wouldn t anyone help them in any way they can? Also, the mobile hospitals are used for transporting
wounded soldiers to the nearest hospital, while doing what they can to keep the patients stable ( Civil
War (Gale)). They may not be the requested mode of transportation, but they still help our men in the
best way they can. If the people of West Virginia donated resources and money, the female nurses and
male nurses could get training and the mode of transportation will be updated, and work

Project Orangutan Dolphins
Unconsciously us humans take a breath 12 20 times a minute, we go about our days not necessarily
thinking about when we will take our next breathe. Dolphins on the other hand make the choice to
take each and every breath, and when they become too stressed or overwhelmed, they will choose not
to take that next breathe. Ongoing stress and the loss of space to swim in dolphinariums is demeaning
to the incredible creatures and leads to many taking their lives or becoming something they were
never designed to be. Dolphins which are placed in dolphinariums and forced to perform or swim with
humans for excitement are enslaved and not living the life intended. Living quarters for these animals

From the capturing process, to the living and training spaces, to the continuously forced performances
they are required to do daily, these animals face an uncounted for amount of stress. The capturing
process allows men to heard groups of dolphins together and trap them into small coves with nets and
boats, then hand picking the wanted ones and dragging them away to never see open waters again.
Project Orangutan talks about the capturing and the stress it inflicts on these animals, .. during the
capturing process itself as they get entangled in nets and suffocate, others may die from stress. Not
only do these animals recognize the loss of movement but the death of their friends around them. If
the stress of being taken away from their home wasn t enough, they are then forced to live in concrete
cells with no sound reflection. To us that seems fine but when your strongest sense is hearing and
string enough to detect the difference between a ping pong ball and golf ball, the constant screaming
and splashing of water around you begins to take a toll. Dolphins use a type of sound detection called
echolocation, which can be damaged through time by the living conditions of dolphinariums.
Dolphinproject.com talks about the lessening of sounds and vocalization of these animals in captivity,
This reduction in vocalizations is due in part to the effect of the echo caused by the walls of the pools
where dolphins are defined. The high noise frequency surround them for hours a day accompanied by
the loss of socialization through their echolocation causes then even more stress and sadness. This
alone can lead to one of these animals dying involuntarily, or even at their doing. Those who may
think dolphins are only animals who will later forget about the process of being captured or that don t

Nietzsche And Mill s Ideas Of Freedom
Free to Disagree A primary objective of identifying common ground between Nietzsche and Mill s
ideas of freedom is to define freedom adequately so that it can be used as a basis for comparison. Each
theorist s opinion on what freedom is, however, appears to be fairly distinct. Mill might describe
freedom as the absence of constraints to original, individual thought, whereas Nietzsche
conceptualizes freedom as continual self overcoming to evolve a more actualized self. Freedom for
Nietzsche is overcoming wrong beliefs and creating one s own values, whereas for Mill, freedom is
having the leeway to discover one s own values. In effect, Mill focuses on the structural protections or
necessities that allow creativity to flourish, and Nietzsche wants to deconstruct those structures that
impede that flourishing. Mill emphasizes optimizing the political and social realms, which in theory
then provide a safe haven for Nietzsche s intrapsychic or spiritual struggle. Thus, Mill s definition
could be described as political whereas Nietzsche s could be understood as transformational. Both
strive toward achieving the highest level of individual potential, and both want to support discovery of
one s most individualized beliefs. Given that each theorist has such distinct views on the definition
itself, however, one needs to extrapolate the essence of what each would consider freedom to be. So
for the purposes of describing how Mill and Nietzsche intersect, this approximation of a

Love From First Sight Essay
Love from First Sight
Is there anyone who did not have Love in his life? Love is one the most powerful words that we could
hear and it is an important element in our life. It is the first feeling that you have been treated by since
you were born and opened your eyes. Could you count how many love words that you heard in your
life? I do not believe you can because of how many times it has been said to you by your parents or
relatives. The first people who love in your life are your parents. They loved you before you were born
and they had all that much of love since they loved each other and decided to have a son or daughter. I
lived in a society that did not believe in love before marriage. Even the marriages had to be in the
traditional way. Our society believes that love only comes after marriage which is something I
strongly disagree with. I believe that marriage has to be after a relationship in which both side feel that
they have found the right person. I dreamed many times to be in love with a woman that can
understand me more than myself and knew how I felt. I do not want to destroy myself because of the
criticisms of our society. All the challenges by society made me think and ask myself if there is
anyone that had the same feelings that I had? Was there anyone who believed in love from first sight
in our society? Was it real or was just something of our imagination? I believe in love from first sight
now more than ever. It is real and exists and it happens

  • 4. Essay about Shakespeare’s Macbeth and Milton’s Satan of... Shakespeare s Macbeth and Milton s Satan of Paradise Lost bear many similarities to each other. Both characters possess diabolical ambitions to overthrow the natural order of their circumstances for the lust for power. Both committed atrocious acts that led to others downfalls Macbeth committed multiple acts of murder, and Satan vowed to corrupt humankind and did so with deceit. Both are portrayed as complex characters with, in some cases, conflicted feelings about their evil doings. Aside from these similarities, there are significant differences as well. For one thing, the incitation of both characters evil doings differ. Macbeth, it could be argued, is a victim of fate, whereas Satan is portrayed in Paradise Lost as very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Satan s fall can be easily broken up into four steps: he came to think of himself too highly, putting himself equal to God; he made a following for himself; he plotted a rebellion with his fellow rebel angels; and he attempted to carry out the rebellion. His attempt to overthrow God and obtain power was, however, futile and easily thwarted. Satan was severely demoted and he spent the rest of the plot trying to pervert every good thing as if it would be to any avail to do so. He attempted to exert his own powers over creation and tried to get a foothold so that he could gain more power. His extreme arrogance led to his fall from grace. This is the same willfulness which lies behind his rebellious claim in heaven that he is self begot ...What Satan the general refuses to give up here...is...individual glory, which he pursues at all costs. (Loewenstein, 56 57). Considering that Satan was an angel in the presence of God at the beginning, he had no excuse such as ignorance to claim. Satan s rebellion began within himself with little else to prompt him. Satan had the ambition to raise a rebel force, but army or no army, he surely would have thought himself more powerful than he ought have. His pride also got in the way of him ever being restored to his former position. • 5. Traumatic Enlightenment Traumatic Enlightenment Today s social vocabulary frequently uses the word nihilism interchangeably with the word pessimistic, such as abstinence and celibacy. Admittedly, famous celebrities and philosophers, with these characteristics, do share resemblances in their personality traits. Historically, in the mid to late nineteenth century, the term Nihilism had a completely different meaning. While under the rule of Czar Nicholas II, the working class complained about how he treated the majority of the nation and demanded immediate reform. After refusing to acknowledge the pleas of the citizens, the last Russian Czar and his family were assassinated systematically by those he was set to govern. Afterwhich the people decided to form a new government, which resulted in the creation of Socialism. Despite its original ideology nihilistic mindsets do not occur naturally, rather they are a result of traumatic experiences. This state of consciousness is often mistaken for one possessing a negative perspective on life. Due to this inconvenience, nihilist are portrayed on entertainment outlets are as those who have cynical thoughts or emotions . The entertainment industry, who is responsible for the numerous misleading concepts, spreads this idea of negativity by broadcasting on public television, utilizing the writers of movie industries, spreading images/articles on social media, and the clever use of newspaper cartoons. All the other souls had penance that directly matched their sins on Earth. The first three terraces contain the souls whose main sin involved love that was perverted. Ironically this terrace is filled with the souls of the slothful and lazy, who always lay dormant and still. They are forced to run continuously, and never rest. The next terrace Dante goes to is for the avaricious or the greedy. They are flat on their faces, their gaze fixed on Earth, and their backs to heaven. This represents the way they acted in life, turning their attention toward Earthly goods, subsequently turning their back to God. On the next terrace, there is a huge tree with sweet smelling fruit. • 11. The Roman Catholic Church There are always issues in the world that we have to face, they change with time but a lot of them seem to have a common theme and that is indifference. I cannot help but think that people are uncomfortable with anything that is different from the norm. Many of us are set in our ways and we quickly remove any one who threatens that. A lot of us come from a set of foundations that help create who we are. While doing research for this paper I searched for topics that interest me. I also searched for a topic that anyone would be able to give their opinion on. This search lead me to the 266th Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis. Much to my surprise he is extremely popular in this modern time. Many call him the pope of the new world. The model of millions of Catholics around the world. As a child my family often had figures from the Catholic Church around the house. Saints, crosses and even small statues of popes who served in the past. As I grew older I came to realize that this was a common trend in a Dominican family home. As I reflect back into what my childhood was like and how huge of impact religion had on my core foundations. I thought of family members who I thought had the biggest impact. I was a caregiver to my aunt, she had stage four lung cancer, this involved me helping her get ready for the day but before she could do anything in the morning my aunt would watch a church service with her rosary in hand. • 12. Lab Report Sample Essay Introduction The exposed roadcut east of the Doc Long Picnic area, about 9 miles north of the town of Cedar Crest on the east side of the Sandia Mountains, provided an exceptional site to study weathering processes. The exposed Precambrian Sandia Granite offered a place to collect data and test the hypothesis that biotite content, grainsize, and associated inclusions have influenced the amount of weathering that has occurred. The granite underlies the Great Unconformity and the Madera Formation, which is a carbonate succession with interbedded sandstones, Pennsylvanian in age. The granitic outcrop composed of the dominant minerals quartz, potassium feldspar (some plagioclase), and biotite (field book) displayed different degrees of weathering. Different weathering features in the exposure such as grussification, jointing, and corestones suggested that grain size and biotite content were not the only influences on weathering processes taking place. Methods Data collection for assessing our hypothesis consisted of making several observations along the exposed granite. The main observations noted included mineral composition, weathering rank, mean grain size, percent biotite, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 13. Analysis Of I Would Like About Tyler Perry Whose Career... In this final chapter, I would like to begin by talking about Tyler Perry whose career has been guided by his faith. He was named the highest paid man in entertainment by Forbes in 2011 having earned US$130 million between May 2010 and 2011. This is a long way from the boy who grew up being physically abused by his father and sexually abused by a woman in his neighborhood at the age of only 10. By contrast to his father s beatings, Perry s mother took him to church where he found a safe haven and contentment. Although he did not finish high school he was inspired to write by seeing someone on the Oprah Winfrey Show talking about the therapeutic effect that writing gives a person. He started writing a series of letters to himself which would eventually become the basis for the musical I Know I ve Been Changed which was successfully performed in 1998. Using comedy to tell the story, the play focused on how the two adult protagonists overcame the horrors of their lives by their profound belief in God. However, before this success Perry was in Atlanta, Georgia and had used up all of his savings and became homeless. For a period of six years in the 1990 s, he was living in his car, or as he told Oprah, living in a pay by the week hotel that was full of crackheads. The play was first performed in 1990 and was based in Christian values with the themes of forgiveness, dignity and self esteem being very prominent as well as addressing the critical social issues of ... It lets me look at the world around me with fresh eyes, and it helps me gain confidence in myself and my own ideas. It is important to recognize my own weaknesses in order to improve upon them and know where I stand with any competitors. My main weaknesses are my communication skills and falling into the habit of procrastination. Communication, particularly with a large group of people, is sometimes difficult for me. I find it hard to speak up and be confident, and to network and find my place within the academic community. Going forward, I am trying to improve my interview and public speaking skills in order to combat this weakness. Another weakness that I have is that I become distracted easily, while at the same time I am a perfectionist. This leads to a great deal of procrastination and issues with time management. Although I am dedicated to my education, factors such as commitments to friends and family and occasional lack of motivation keep me off track and lead to procrastination. Having weaknesses is something that can be harmful when competing with others. However, having weaknesses is inevitable, so it is important for me to identify and deal with them instead of avoiding them. According to Robbins and Coulter, opportunities are positive trends in the external environment, threats are negative trends (239). Throughout the past few years, I have faced threats that ... Assessment is one of the most important aspects of teaching and learning, it ensures that student learning is checked and conclusions are made, to put it simply, assessment shows how well pupils have learned what they were supposed to, and it is the only feasible way to check if learning outcomes have been achieved or not. This brought into play compulsory tests for our 7, 11 and 14 year olds. In Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland however, SATs for 7 year olds have been abolished, the government has realised children at 7 were much too young to be put under the pressure of tests. When children reach 11 they sit their year 6 SAT s and these results are used in league tables to compare schools. These results can be very negative for the schools, teachers, and pupils involved. Again this is very different in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland where the year 6 Sat s league tables have been abolished. Why is it that England is so out of kilter with the rest of the United Kingdom? In 2003, the QCA asked primary school teachers how long they spent on average each week preparing children for their year 6 sat s. Shockingly they found that 10 hours a week was spent preparing children for the end of year SATs and between Christmas and May, schools spend nearly 50% of their teaching time coaching children. This leaves very little time to teach anything other than the topics needed to pass the tests. Pupils become very demotivated and stressed with the pressure of failure. • 20. Gilded Age Research Paper Argumentative Essay The ability to have ownership over something, tangible or not, can give a person a sense of value or superiority when comparing themselves to others. Furthermore, as humans, it is easy to desire things as one s own and claim it, but the way something is treated differs from person to person. As a result, the material items and skills a person has ownership over provides a glimpse of his or her s true nature. According to Plato, the ownership of objects can hold a detrimental stake to the character of a person. When applied to a more specific case, such as slavery in America where the concept of owning people as property was a recurring norm in various societies, a vivid description about the white southern males who owned ... Everyday, people are given an opportunity to learn, in school or from their surroundings, and gain experiences that they will own forever. According to Albert Einstein, there is no limit to how much one can learn and that intellectual growth will only cease at death. This determination to strive to improve and extend on one s intellect and skills develops from the ownership of such intangible characteristics that make up a person. Einstein makes a point to never give up ownership of one s own ability to freely learn and express curiosites, and while it seems impossible to have intangible objects taken, history reveals times where it has occurred. The most prominent occurrence would be that of Rosa Parks who, aware of her civil rights, stood her ground and refused to subjugate to the racist acts that attempted to strip her of her identity, humanity, and freedom. • 21. Film Analysis Of Lars Von Trier s Dogville Jacob Grady Professor Burrell English 242 October 12th, 2017 Analysis of Lars von Trier s Dogville Lars Von Trier s film Dogville is an interesting European spin on how America is viewed. Produced in 2003, performed by an almost all American cast, written by a Danish director, Dogville becomes not only a film about how Europeans might see America; but how the audience can interpret what Trier is presenting to them. Dogville, is often viewed and critiqued by many as a cynical spin on how the United States is perceived. After all, this film is one of the easiest ways to see how a director can use the many Brechtian techniques to keep the audience from being absorbed in the film. Trier places his actors within what the audience can observe to be a small town. He carefully lays out a map of buildings and other areas on the floor of a huge, undecorated studio. The audience when introduced to Dogville are able to see a bird s eye view of what the town looks like. The furniture and props are real, but there are no walls to obscure activities within each defined area; only solid chalk lines separating what is a house, or a garden, or a town hall. Consequently, the audience can see anything and everything that is happening all over the town; they may see a character tending to their garden in the background while the camera is focused on other characters. For most viewers, myself included for the first time through, Dogville is an oddly presented film that may be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The main aspect of the novel, The Assault, is the violence that has come upon Anton during his childhood. During the night of the assault, Anton mutters the words For I was born with bad luck and I ll die with bad luck... An unaccompanied asylum seeking child is a person under the age of eighteen who has left their country of origin in order to seek refuge and is separated from both parents and are not being cared for by an adult who, by law or custom has responsibility to do so (UNHCR, 1994:121). They are therefore applying for asylum in their own right. Discrimination is the process of identifying that someone is different and, due to this difference, treating them unfairly (Thompson, 2006). Xenoracism is discrimination that is aimed at people specifically because they are from a different country, and are therefore strangers (Sivanandan, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Power is the capacity to act in such a way as to control others (Harris, 1997:28). He argues that everyone has at least some power, and that this power, for the relatively powerless, can be used to influence the decisions of the dominant group. Unaccompanied asylum seeking children not disclosing information can be seen as them exercising the little power they have. This can however have a negative impact on their lives in the UK, for example, being placed under section 17 of the Children Act instead of under section 20, which would offer the child more support. Foucault (1977) uses discourse to relate to how language can be used to construct ideas and thoughts about groups. Discourses and language can therefore help construct or reduce oppression (Thompson, 2006). If a group has power, they have the ability and opportunity to fulfil or obstruct personal, relational, or collective needs (Prilleltensky, 2008). If the dominant discourse of a less powerful group is positive, the group with power may help that group fulfil their needs. If the dominant discourse of a less powerful group is negative, such as with UASC, the powerful group may obstruct them in fulfilling their needs, and therefore will cause oppression. Innes (2010) argues that the negative discourse of asylum seekers as a threat to British society is portrayed in government literature ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Cultural relativism is the view that Different cultures have different moral codes and values, therefore culture is subjective and arbitrary. Then moving on to analyzing the Argument of cultural differences which discusses the view that there is no universal right or wrong when examining cultures moral views; a cultures morals and values are simply a matter of opinion. Lastly I will confirm that every culture has a diminutive amount moral views and values. • 37. Nietzsche And Mill s Ideas Of Freedom Free to Disagree A primary objective of identifying common ground between Nietzsche and Mill s ideas of freedom is to define freedom adequately so that it can be used as a basis for comparison. Each theorist s opinion on what freedom is, however, appears to be fairly distinct. Mill might describe freedom as the absence of constraints to original, individual thought, whereas Nietzsche conceptualizes freedom as continual self overcoming to evolve a more actualized self. Freedom for Nietzsche is overcoming wrong beliefs and creating one s own values, whereas for Mill, freedom is having the leeway to discover one s own values. In effect, Mill focuses on the structural protections or necessities that allow creativity to flourish, and Nietzsche wants to deconstruct those structures that impede that flourishing. Mill emphasizes optimizing the political and social realms, which in theory then provide a safe haven for Nietzsche s intrapsychic or spiritual struggle. Thus, Mill s definition could be described as political whereas Nietzsche s could be understood as transformational. Both strive toward achieving the highest level of individual potential, and both want to support discovery of one s most individualized beliefs. Given that each theorist has such distinct views on the definition itself, however, one needs to extrapolate the essence of what each would consider freedom to be.
