The Tragedy Of Julius Caesar Essay
Writing an essay on "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar" is no simple task. It requires a comprehensive
understanding of Shakespearean literature, historical context, and the intricacies of the characters
and their motivations. The play itself is rich in symbolism, themes, and complex character
dynamics, making it a challenging subject to dissect and analyze.
To begin with, delving into the historical background of Julius Caesar and the Roman Republic is
necessary to provide a solid foundation for the essay. Understanding the political landscape, the
rise of Caesar, and the conspiracies against him are critical elements that must be explored. This
demands extensive research and a keen eye for historical accuracy.
The characters in the play, each with their own motivations and conflicts, add another layer of
complexity. Analyzing the tragic flaw in characters like Brutus or the political ambitions of
Cassius requires a deep dive into their dialogues, actions, and relationships. Interpreting the
nuances of Shakespearean language and poetry further complicates the writing process.
Moreover, crafting a thesis that captures the essence of the tragedy and successfully weaving it
throughout the essay is a challenge. The essay should not merely summarize the plot but offer
insightful interpretations, connecting the dots between the characters, themes, and historical
context.
Maintaining a coherent and compelling argument while addressing the various facets of the play
can be daunting. It's crucial to strike a balance between analysis and interpretation, ensuring that
each paragraph contributes meaningfully to the overall narrative.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar" demands not only literary and
historical knowledge but also critical thinking and analytical skills. It is a task that requires
dedication, time, and a deep appreciation for the complexities of Shakespearean drama.

Changes in Web Standards
Throughout the last decade web developers have been experiencing changes in Web
Standards as well as a different markup language called HTML5. HTML5 a markup
language used for structuring and presenting content for the World Wide Web.
HTML, or Hyper Text Markup Language forms the backbone of almost every site on
the internet. The most important technologies right now are HTMLand devices
evolving HTML platforms (Anglin). Although HTML5 is the most recent updated
markup language today, it has many advantages and disadvantages when it comes
to web development. HTML4, the last major iteration of the language, debuted in
1997 and has been subsequently poked and prodded so that it can handle the
demands of the modern Web (O Brien). In order for web developers to fully
understand the meaning behind HTML5, throughout this article I will be
discussing why HTML5 is such a big deal, what it can actually do, the many
advantages and disadvantages, the benefits that favor HTML5, and arguments it
has for the web today. Have you ever found yourself rolling your eyes when a web
designer or developer talked to you about HTML5, I completely understand. So
why is HTML5 such a big deal in web development today? As it turns out, it really is
something that s exciting and better and could really be worth investing into for your
next Web site project. HTML4 has been tweaked, stretched and augmented beyond its
initial scope to bring high levels of interactivity and multimedia to Web sites

Summary Of Angela Liddel
Angela Liddel stares forlornly out of the window in the limousine. Movies and
novels often romanticize boarding school, but the concept is daunting to the
sixteen year old. The Atlantic Ocean is rather unimpressive; nothing like she d
expected, and so far feels general disappointment amid arriving at Madame LeFoux
s Academy for Exemplary Young Ladies. Angela wasn t certain what she was
expecting, but this certainly wasn t it. She treks up the steps to the large mansion,
uncertain of what would come next. Angela takes a deep breath, and sounds the
large lion head knocker, and the door swings open. Hello? Angela calls out, but
there is no response. She decides to search for the headmistress s office so that she
might become more acquainted with the building. As she turns a corner she
collides with a petite woman. Pardon me, darling. She says, picking up her
pocketbook from the ground. As she returns to standing, she sees Angela clasping
on to her suitcase for dear life. This must be the new student, Miss Liddel. The
woman murmurs to herself. Her chestnut brown eyes smile fondly down at the
student. Yes, it s Angela Liddel. The girl says uncertainly, Who might you be?
Pleased to make acquaintances Miss Liddel, darling, I am Headmistress Ariadne
LeFoux, but you may simply call me Madame. I am the headmistress. If you d like
to follow me, let s begin by giving you a tour of these grounds. The woman s grin is
startling, as she doesn t seem the type to smile very often. The headmistress leads
Angela to the dining hall, and as they approach the room, Madame pauses before
throwing the double doors open. The dining hall is vast, with long wooden benches
and identical long tables fill the room. It s a grand room, and ornate in style. What
sort of classes are available? Angela asks, even more disappointed. This school
intends to teach stuffy rich girls how to embroider and keep house. A highly unusual
education is in store for you, Miss Liddel, darling. We specialize in more...
investigative skills and covert operations. Madame LeFoux replies, eying Angela s
reaction cautiously. Pardon, Madame. I don t understand... This is spy school?
Angela asks, utterly dumbfounded, I thought that your

The Main Conventions of James Bond Movies
The character of James Bond is seen to the audience as a hero. Everyone wants to be
James Bond because of his charming good looks and the gorgeous, seductive and

the years
Women characters have not specifically changed during the years, each bond girl as
attractive as the other. In most bond films women are seen as useless and incredibly
passive however in Live and Let Die, the women are surprisingly more intelligent,
important and useful.

The uses of gadgets and technology have seriously changed in the course of over
forty years, In Dr. No the car chases were incredibly short and basic but in just ten
years other bond films such as Live and Let Die had numerous car and boat chases
that were not only longer but more complex and dangerous making the viewer even
more excited. Over the years the creators have tried and taken this to the next level
by even using cars that can fly, boats that can drive and planes that can swim. In the
more recent bond films they have even chosen to use other modes of transport like in

What Is Nanotechnology Based Drug Delivery System
Overview
Nanotechnology based drug delivery systems are the use of capsules between 1nm
and 100nm large to store medicine within them and protect the drugs until it
reaches the affected area it must treat. This method allows smaller amounts of
drugs to enter the body and prevent severe side effects by reacting with unaffected
parts of the body. These nanocapsules travel in the bloodstream and release the
drugs once in close proximity to the affected area. The main focus for this
application is to treat cancer, where the capsules can either identify and attach to
cancer cells or a magnet worn by the patient can trigger the capsule once it reaches a
specific place in the body.

This technology is also being looked into for creating diagnostics to identify
abnormal cells in the body. Currently, none of this technology has been applied to
clinics as there is not enough data to support the safety of nanoparticles in the body.
However, experiments and further development are still occurring to allow for its use
in the future.
Current Regulations/Suggestions The Canadian Environmental Protection Act allows
the regulation of nanomaterials that are imported or produced in Canada. Importers
and manufacturers of nanomaterials must provide information about the products to
government officials who can evaluate the potential effects it may have on the
environment and the people living in Canada. A change to the act has been proposed
to increase the regulation of nanotechnology in Canada. Currently, products don t
need to indicate the use of nanotechnology and there is not enough information to
conclude the possibility of pollution towards air, water, and soil. As nano drug
delivery systems are still in the developmental stages, there aren t any regulations
currently set in place. However, these nanoparticles must be examined for any
hazardous properties and potential issues that may occur if it were used in a patient
such as a reaction to an unaffected area or poisoning.
Health/Safety Precautions Protection is mandatory to avoid nanoparticles from
entering the body or environment and cause serious harm. Nanoparticles can enter

Effects Of Eugenics
In the Early 20th century the Eugenics movement was a popular one, taking root in
all facets of civilization. Darwin s theories of evolution had been a starting point for
many in the scientific community to form what is known as Eugenics. The fear of
the inferior, being considered weak, and immigration caused many to grasp onto
eugenicsas gospel. Eugenics was so deep seeded at this point it was embraced by
scientists, politicians, as well as being a curriculum taught in schools. America had
become the dumping ground for many of the unfit from other countries. This caused
America to enforce stricter laws, tests, and punishments such as sterilization. During
this time, a man by the name of Adolf Hitler was about to commit the biggest crime...

The laws pretty much stated that Jews are different and are not the same as
Germans. They will not be allowed to have the same rights as the Germans, and
anyone who sympathizes with the Jews will be considered an enemy of the state
and will be punished. Soon after, Hitler and the Nazi s began to carry out their
eugenics experiments which were broken into 2 parts, positive and negative eugenics.
The positive part focused on increasing the population of the pure race, or Aryans.
The negative part was meant to stop the breeding of the unfit, or those that didn t fit
the profile, through sterilization and eventually kill them off (Saetz, Van Court, and
Henshaw). Hitler compared his views on killing off the weak to that of a cat eating a
mouse, and that governments must understand the laws of nature and the belief in
survival of the fittest

As mentioned, the job of a therapist to create the machinery of therapy, to set it in
motion, and to keep it operating with the maximum effectives (Yalom, 2005). First
and foremost, the relationship between clients and therapist must be established for
specific tasks and techniques to be of quality effectiveness. The group therapy for
the therapist is indirect, which underlies the difference of roles in a group setting
and on a one to one. One fundamental tasks is the creation and maintenance of the
group by the group leader that serves as unifying force. Concepts and techniques are
vital to process group creation to provide consistency. Expose the importance of key
factors to provide a safe and stable environment that illuminates positives vibes;

certain group members may be cooperative but others may cause disruptiveness. This
is where the therapist needs a balance and make adjustments as needed to provide a

Huron Community Reflection
I found a quote about three years ago on a wall at my camp that has stuck with me

quote is by an American politician by the name Barbara Mikulski and although I do
not know what her personal beliefs are, personally this is a mantra I aspire to live by.
I want to make a difference in the world, and my first step out of high school on that
path would be at the Centre for Global Studies at Huron University College. I

The Importance of Being Earnest, by Oscar Wilde
The play, The Importance of Being Earnest, by Oscar Wilde was written in the
Victorian Age of England. During this time morality was connected with sexual
restraint and strict codes of conduct in public. This play hilariously critiques
Victorian moral and social values while the characters in the play try to figure out
the meaning of earnestness . Wilde uses humor and irony to publicly ridicule the
self aggrandizing attitude of the Victorian upper classes, as well as to expose their
duplicity and hypocrisy in regards to their social behaviors. The characters in the
play are the primary source of the humor and irony. In Otto Reinert s Satiric
Strategy in the Importance of Being Earnest he points out that, Wilde s basic
formula for satire is their (the characters) assumption of a code of behavior that
represents the reality that Victorian convention pretends to ignore (Reinert 15).
The main character, Jack Worthing, is a prime example of this. To function in
society he creates an alter ego named Ernest. This way, he can be Ernest in town
and Jack in the country (Wilde 1737). Jack represents his conventional Victorian
side he has responsibility as a guardian in the country, where it is his duty to adopt
a very high moral tone on all subjects (Wilde 1738). Ernest, however, enables Jack
to throw away his real life troubles and act carelessly, something he could never do as
Jack. The dual nature of his character satirizes the hypocrisy in conventional Victorian

He was finally able to participate in World War I as a voluntary ambulance driver
for the Red Cross, after repeatedly being rejected because of his damaged eye,
caused by his boxing. On July 8, 1918 the nineteen year old was severely injured on
the Austro Italian front and hospitalized in Milan and had an affair with a Red Cross

punctuated Ernest Hemingway s life and career (Ernest Hemingway 1024). The
relationship is said to have formed the basis for one of
Hemingway s most popular and critically acclaimed novels was A Farewell to

made big influences in Hemingway s writings. War itself is a major theme in
Hemingway s works. In 1937 he was a correspondent in Spain; the events of the
Spanish Civil War inspired For Whom the Bell Tolls. After he returned home to his

same year his first son, John, was born in Toronto. But in 1927 he divorced Hadley
Richardson and married Pauline Pfeiffer. He later moved to Key West where he had
two boys named Patrick and Gregory.
Moral Dilemmas At The Yorktown Gym
Moral Dilemmas In the Workplace: Yorktown Gym Ethical dilemmas can arise in
any situation and they can happen in a group setting or an individual setting.
Workplace dilemmas can occur at any time and can appear as minor situations, or
they can be a more serious situation. In individual settings, ethical dilemmas may
seem more prominent and harder to determine what the right action to take would
actually be, because no one else is present to say whether something is right or
wrong. This is the situation in my case. I work at the Yorktown Gym for Robert
Morris University as one of the health club monitors, and during my shift, I work
alone. Because of the situation that other employees and I are in, we face multiple
dilemmas every time we work. While I would never actually give in to any of
these dilemmas, I face the dilemmas of lying about my hours, working out on the
job, and leaving work whenever I want. All of these situations go along with
ethical theories that explain why these dilemmas are right or wrong the reasoning
behind them. The first ethical dilemma that employees and myself face at work is
lying about our hours. To clock in, employees sign into a website and enter their
start and end times. At the end of the pay period, the times are checked off and sent
in to determine our paycheck. However, people switch shifts all the time so
employee s times are always changing. Whenever another employee or myself clocks
in, we could lie about the times that we were
Giant Hogweed Research Paper
The control and eradication of invasive species in Washington State is an important
part of maintaining the diversity and wellbeing of our ecosystems. One invasive
species common to us, Heracleum mantegazzianum, otherwise known as giant
hogweed, is a Class A weed and must be eliminated where encountered (Noxious
Weed Control Board). H. mantegazzianum is recognizable by its immense height of
up to 20 feet, and its thick stalks support umbels of small, clustered white flowers. It
can be distinguished from plants of similar appearance by purple blotches located on
the stems (Noxious Weed Control Board). They are commonly found near riverbanks
and roadsides. (New York State Department of Environmental Conservation). H.
mantegazzianum owes much of its success as an invasive species to its reproductive
capabilities as an angiosperm. According to Reece et al, sexual reproduction for the

Firstly, it is a threat to native species and perilous to the ecosystems they colonize by
stealing resources. Second, the formation of their roots contributes to soil erosion by
the creation of bare soil. Finally, the sap contained within all parts of the plant
sensitizes human skin to UV radiation and leads to photo dermatitis (Noxious Weed
Control Board). For these reasons, it is imperative that this weed is eradicated in the
state of Washington. Different methods of eliminating giant hogweed exist, with
varying results. For young plants, cutting the root 6 inches below the earth can be
effective when infestations are small. For larger infestations and with greater success,
herbicides containing triclopyr or glyphosate may be applied to giant hogweed.

The Walking Dead and the Social Contract
The award winning television show, The Walking Dead, is used as a tool to explain
the complexities of the human behavior when faced with the need for natural
survival. The show depicts the world after a zombie apocalypse. Society and
government as we know it had been torn down. The show is an example of what
lengths people would do to survive. Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, and Jean Jacques
Rousseau are some political philosophers who explain their versions of how political
societies form and how societies stayed together when they follow their versions of
the laws of nature. Thomas Hobbes ideas of the social contract and the state of nature

Rick s wife and son, and other survivors are living outside the city in a small camp.
Rick s best friend, Shane, is the unofficial sovereign. He steps into power because
he is the most strong and able; he is the natural leader. The others in camp follow
Shane s judgement and rule. When Rick gets to camp, it is apparent who leads.
When other s get into an argument they go to Shane for the final judgement call.
Clearly they are all following the sovereign in benefit for the greater good. I believe a
true Hobbesian society is what has formed. The group has surrendered freedom and
submitted to the impromptu authority; exchanging their freedom for protection.
The other philosophers, Jean Jacques Rousseau and Locke have both explained the
concept of giving up certain rights in return for the protections and benefits that
come along with societies. The reasoning behind The Walking Dead being
Hobbesian over a Lockean or Rousseauian deals with the idea of rebellion. In a
Hobbesian society, the idea of an uprising is unjust. One may not revolt against the
government because even the concept of an overthrow imbalances the scales and
causes a civil unrest
A Theory Of Justice By John Rawls Essay
In my discussion of this piece of text I will attempt to present an argument which
suggests rational individuals behind a veil of ignorance would assent to the two
primary principles of justice found in Rawls A theory of justice . I will also analyse
the extract, in particular debating whether various propositions made by Rawls in this
extract are true. Initially it is important to situate the extract of discussion. Section 3
of A theory of justiceis the opening of Rawls argument in A theory of justice , where
he introduces his original position, stating how rational individuals in a hypothetical
scenario, behind a veil of ignorance, would agree to two principles of justice which
would determine the way social institutions would be organised and how primary
goods would be distributed. This section also shows Rawls agreement with the idea
of hypothetical consent , an idea which suggests that because free and rational
individuals behind a veil of ignorance would agree to Rawls two principles of social
justice; they hypothetically consent to the principles of the social contract.
Initially I will analyse this extract in detail, focusing the claims and propositions
made by Rawls. Rawls claims that no society can...be a scheme of cooperation
which men enter voluntarily . Rawls belief in this leads to his agreement with the
idea of hypothetical consent, however, what if it is possible for society to be a
scheme of voluntary consent, perhaps taking part in a vote
Descriptive Essay On A Place In The Woods
For many people they have that one place they can go and just relax. For me it s

The first reason this picture practically shouted at me was because this reminds me
of a spot at home that I would visit frequently. I live four hours away in the country

In 1905, Mr. H Piper filed a patent for a gasoline engine electric motor powertrain.
According to him, the electric motor would augment a gasoline engine, allowing a
vehicle to accelerate from zero to 25 miles an hour in 10 seconds, much faster than
the gasoline engines of that time. Ironically, when finally Mr.H Piper was granted
the patent a few years later, normal engines were capable of producing the same kind
of acceleration.
Due to rapid advancements in the gasoline engine, the popularity of a hybrid car
slowly diminished untill again in the early to mid 1970s, the time of oil crisis. Many
companies poured funds to build experimental Hybrid Electric Vehicles. But as the
oil became available again, the surge for HEVs died down immediately.
The Europeans and Japanese researching on reducing production costs and making
HEVs more salable. Companies like Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi came up
with ways to reduce emissions and better the mileage.
Toyota introduced the Prius in 1997 (in Japan and in 2000 in the US) which proved
to be a huge success. Recent sales figures indicate that well over 300,000 units of
Toyota Prius have been sold the world over justifying the concept of a clean family

Essay About Pegasus
Pegasus is the winged horse of Greek mythology. The horse is usually white in
color, beautiful and is the symbol of strength, inspiration and flight. It was born
from the blood of Medusa (a lovely young maiden), when she was slain by Perseus
with his magical sword. The God of earth, Poseidon was Pegasus father.
Poseidon became infatuated with Medusa, he seduced her into the temple of Athena
(goddess of wisdom). Because of this, Athena became infuriated and took her anger
out on Medusa. She was so angry that she turned the maiden into a Gorgon, a
terrifying female creature with hairs of venomous snakes and whose glance will turn
a person to stone.

However, knowing that they were unbeatable, Bellerophon became proud and wanted

caused him to fall to the ground. His attempt failed, and instead of becoming a god,
he became blind and crippled.
Pegasus, however, was honored by Zeus. The horse was given a special stable and
was allowed to fetch thunderbolts and lightning for Zeus. Pegasus later found a mate,
Euippe, and they had two offspring, Melanippe and Celeris. From this family came a
new race of winged horse. Although Pegasus was not immortal, Zeus transformed
him into a constellation on the last day where we can still see him today.

Early Western Attempts At Colonialism Can Generally Be
Early Western attempts at colonialism can generally be categorized as ruthless and
deceitful. The destruction was not limited to environment, More people in the
western hemisphere died during the sixteenth century than in any other demographic

TaГno and Incapeople had different initial responses to the arrival of Western powers.
The TaГno people initially responded to Western arrival and encroachments with
attempts at coexistence. They used Christopher Columbus appearance as an

As these are island civilizations, they were unable to maintain the maroonages for

The TaГno people of Haiti, specifically, were deeply misrepresented in early
colonial literature. Guillermo Coma of Aragon, who went on Columbus Second
Voyage, wrote to his friend in Sicily, Nicolo Syllacio who translated his letters to
Latin and distributed them to the Duke of Milan, Lodovico Maria Sforza about the
people they encountered. Coma writes of Peter Margarita, a Spaniard whose word

TaГno, first writing, They are a savage race and capable of the greatest endurance.
This statement attempts to establish both a paternalistic and physical justification for
subjugation. He later describes them quite differently,

Cullen s Incident
The poem, Incident is a part of Cullen s book called Color , which clearly portrays
the racism shown among the blacks, even among the children. The transition from
innocence to experience may also be seen in the poem My Last Duchess by Robert
Browning. It starts off with the innocence of a young child most likely riding on a
subway who makes eye contact with another young boy on the same car. Though
neither is described to be older or smaller than the other boy. Cullen goes on to say
that from May until December of all the things that had happened, this incident was
the only thing he could remember. The tone in the poem quickly goes from a highly
optimistic attitude of the boy towards the city then turns to a depressing tone a
because of that one word. The poet clearly explains that racismis painful and no
matter at what age you may have to face it, it leaves a scar in their minds for a
lifetime. When the word which is quoted is uttered by the other boy a separation is
brought upon that people of that time couldn t look past. Their first judgments of
another person came from their first look and the impression they are able to
conceive at that moment. This impression in most cases during the time was very
prejudiced. In My Last DuchessBrowning describes the Dukeof Ferrara who is trying
to negotiate with a servant for the hand of the count s daughter in marriage. During
the negotiations the Duke is taking the servant for a tour into his own private art

Decision Making Process Paper

Abstract
The decision making process has six stages. These stages consist of identifying and
diagnosing the problem, generating alternative solutions, evaluating alternatives,
making the choice, implementing the decision, and evaluate the decision. Choosing
to go back to school and what school to attend was a problem that I had that needed
to be figured out. I did not use the decision making process; if I had I am not sure if
my decision would have been the same.

Also if I had taken the steps to talk to daycares about putting my youngest child in
one, I would not have to worry about finding a babysitter when I went to school.
The decision making process would have made me ask questions about what I
wanted and what I could do. The process also would have allowed me to evaluate
my decision and determine if a community college would have been right. My
problem was going back to school and which school to attend. I may not have
followed the decision making process but I do believe I have made the right choice.
The decision making process has six stages: identify and diagnose the problem,
generate alternative solutions, evaluate alternatives, make the choice, implement the
decision, and evaluate the decision. The decision making process can be very
effective if one were to use it.

Violence In Fight Club And First Blood, By Edward Bond
Violence has been a common behavior that has existed among the human race for
as long as we have existed. It has swept across nations and has left desolation in its
path. It has also caused the rise of countries, creating a rebirth of freedom and
independence. Violence is a weapon that is wielded in both hands by too much
power or too little. As said by Edward Bond, a playwright, violenceshapes and
obsesses our society, and if we do not stop being violent we have no future. In the
culture of men, it is something that has to exist if masculinityis desired. In the culture
of the world, violence exists to create change. While Fight Club and First Blood
involve violence in unique and fluctuating forms, all the books and movies use it as a
means for change.
Then, there is Fight Club. The narrator starts off as a uniform white collared
business worker who is a consumer in every means. His apartment full of the most
updated furnishings, all very materialistic items. He lives a disgruntled yet content
life. He hates his boss, but chooses to deal with it in order to keep his job and earn
salary. He lives a very normal life of an American citizen. But the second violence
appears in his life, his whole world changes. Violence broke the narrator out of the
continuous, repetitive lifestyle he was living. Violence was the golden door the
narrator was craving for in order to break himself free of the complacent life he lived.
The absolute destruction of his apartment created a domino

The Harsh Reality Of Deforestation
The Harsh Reality of Deforestation If you ask a random individual to describe a
landscape to you, any landscape that they can imagine from anywhere in the world,
the odds are that they will mention an environment with trees. This is almost
inevitable as every type of biome harbors some kind of tree, except for one: the
arctic. Through new forms of science, researchers were even able to calculate just
how many trees were on the earth. According to this recent study the answer is
somewhere around 3.04 trillion. That s about 400 trees for every person. (Netburn 1).

By cutting down forests there is not only the loss of precious resources, but also the
risk of extinction for numerous, tropical species. However, the impacts of
deforestation on animals are not seen immediately since many of the side effects
occur over time. As stated by Ian Sample, Though few species are killed off
directly in forest clearances, many face a slower death sentence as their breeding
rates fall and competition for food becomes more intense (Sample 1).
Deforestation can attribute to a lack of resources, which in turn creates a battle of
the fittest scenario for most species. Only the smartest and strongest breeds are
able to survive in these circumstances, leaving the weaker ones to starve and
eventually die off. A decrease in food and shelter, along with an increase in
competition, is a deadly combination for many animal genera. Another detrimental
side effect of deforestation is poaching. When these forests are cleared, animals are
left in the open without a source of protection or camouflage, making them much
easier for poachers to reach. If the loss of their habitat does not kill them, it is likely
that illegal hunting will. Deforestation plays a prime role in climate change as well.
When trees are cut down or burned, carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere.
This is incredibly dangerous, as global warming by definition is the result of too
much carbon dioxide in

Body Jumping-Body Experiences In Sherman Alexie s Flight
At some point of our lives, we ve all wondered who our ancestors are, and what
might happen if we hop into the bodies of our ancestors. In Sherman Alexie s novel
Flight, the protagonist Zits complained his life as a half breed of Irish and Native
American; he found it difficult to make any connections with either heritage. Without
any guidance in his life, he started to judge people by their physical appearance,
including their skins, hair color, body sizes etc.
Eventually, Zits chose to live the life of an delinquent; after committing an heinous
violence at the local bank, he was shot in the back of the head the life of Zits was
over. However, the story finally begins here as Zits mysteriously traveled back in
time into another person s body. In this series of jumping body experiences after he
was killed, Zits witnessed many heart moving moments in the American history.
These moments have changed Zits attitude toward both others and himself; slowly
but surely, Zits was finding the value of his life.
One important lesson that Zits learned in his body jumping experience was about
revenge. In the beginning of the story, Zits professed that he despised white people;
knowing
Zits weak point, Justice asked Zits if he wanted to seek for revenge, Zits blindly
answered yes without any considerations on its consequences. With Justice s
encouragement, Zits committed crime at a local bank; he was then shot at the back
of his head, he died without knowing what revenge really means.

Consumers have the ability to change the companies verdicts and ideas, as the
customers are the vital aspect to sales. Topshop have to continuously research the
customers desires and progress their products to best suit their needs throughout the
future. Topshops organisation have to monitor five different key markets to adapt
their products and services for the consumers. Topshop have to study: Consumer

As the consumers needs and wants are changing endlessly, the demand for Topshops

Topshops performance is evidently heavily impacted by the actions of the suppliers,
whether this is a strength or weakness for the company. The organisation has to
repeatedly monitor the actions of the suppliers, thus will enable them to be prepared
for any surprises coming their way. Topshops suppliers have an effect on their

The Role Of Rivers In America
Rivers are very important as they drive the economy of the country in America.
Almost any activity is undertaken in America; rivers play a role. Rivers offers
habitat to aquatic animals and plants, the source of water for irrigation and drinking,

is a worrying situation, especially in the current society. What is more interesting in

problem of diminishing rivers. Most of the causes of the problems experienced in the
riverboundaries are caused by encroachment of humans engaging in various

Essay on Mountaintop Removal Mining
Appalachia, a vast, beautiful panoply of lush green mountains. At least, most of the
thin line of peaks that make up the Appalachian Mountains used to be that way.
Currently, the continued spread of a method of coal extraction known as mountaintop
removal mining has plagued areas of the eastern United States, mainly including the
state of West Virginia. Throughout its increasing stages of implementation,
mountaintop removal mininghas caused numerous hampering effects, including
causing serious harm to nearby residents, and polluting a once pure environment.
Because of this, mountaintop removal mining needs to be limited in order to preserve

Additionally, the damage has already been done to the mountain and nearby streams,
and thereby the reclamation process is only performed in an attempt to make the
mountain look slightly nicer, but still a far cry from the peak s original grandeur.
Valleys aren t the only natural landscaping to be affected though; streams that had
once been clean have now been polluted with waste, or have been buried completely
by mountain rock. And when water becomes corrupt, nearby life begins to suffer as
well. Take the people living near mountain removal sites as an example. As the nearby
water becomes dirtied, humans must watch as their clean, flowing tap water turns to
a murky brown or even black substitute (Burning the Future: Coal in America). And
think about it, this is the water they use every single day to bathe, drink, clean
dishes, wash surfaces, sanitize hands, and cook with. When the water is this
unclean, is it really doing its job? Is this really the water a living being deserves to be
using?
Regardless of the negative affects mountaintop removal mining is causing, what kind
of people are the perpetrators behind this method? As one example, there is a coal
mining company called Massey Energy based in Central Appalachia which provides a
fair sum of the nation s coal reserves ( About Us ). Through their mountaintop mining
exploits, they cause widespread damage to the environment around them. Evidence of

An Example Of Heroism
Heroism
What makes someone a hero? Is it the way they look, the way they walk, or what
they wear? A hero isn t any of those. A hero is a simple person who when faced
with difficult choices, makes a difference with their decision. He/She leads by
example, has moral courage, and makes good decisions which they act on
immediately. All heroes lead by example. Abraham Lincolnwas a hero to many
people because he freed the African Americans from slavery. Although the majority
of the southern states did not want the slaves to be freed, Lincoln stayed strong in
his fight to give every man their freedom. Another example of a man who led by
example was Booker T. Washington. He wrote an autobiography, Up From
Slavery. After slavery was abolished, he opened up a school for blacks in order to
educate them. He taught them to how to work for their own food and to read and
write. He also taught them how to keep good hygiene, the importance of dressing
your best, having good manners, and most of all, speaking clearly and politely to
everyone. Washington did not earned any money from the school. Instead, he
solicited to affluent whites around the country. He faced many rejections, but
remained persistent. Without funding, his school could not operate. Over time, his
school grew and his students were able to contribute more. He soon became a hero in
the eyes of his students as well as many people all over the world. A hero that leads
by example is Elon Musk. He is providing solar power

patient education. During the clinical rotation at Jackson South the group identified
a need in wound care especially for patients with other underlying health issues such
as diabetes. A large percentage of patients had wounds that would require patients to
properly care for them once discharged. The group identified a lack of patient
knowledge on how to care for these wounds and decided to develop a patient
education pamphlet to teach patients how to care for wounds while not in a hospital
setting. The group identified one particular patient that had insufficient knowledge in
self care.

As well as explain to J.G. other health behaviors that will contribute to the healing
process. It is important for J.G. to have the proper nutrition because it will aid
healing as well as managing his blood sugar since he s diabetic. Since he is
diabetic and is susceptible to loss of sensation and circulation, it is important that
he wears loose shoes and shoes that protect the toes from friction and hitting
objects. Mobility is also a significant factor (Heller, 2014). If J.G. cannot get out of
bed and walk a round, it is important for his daughter to turn him ever 2 hours to
avoid pressure ulcers from forming. J.G. has a history of wound infection. If there is
any presence of pus or bleeding, excessive pain, or odor, the wound may be infected.
It is essential that J.G. and his daughter know what signs may indicate infection and
that they call their health care provider if infection is suspected. If infection develops
it can have a great impact on the wound healing process and can lead to
hospitalization (Grothie amp; Ousey, 2014). This can lead to chronic wounds.
Chronic wounds are slow to heal and take over 6 weeks. Chronic wounds might
need a referral to a wound clinic. A wound clinic will help the patient develop a
healing plan and monitor the size and progress of the wound. In part of patient
education it is important to refer to additional resources outside of the hospital setting
(Heller, 2014). The ultimate goal for J.G. and his daughter is
The Medical Experiments By The Ss ( Nazi )
The Medical Experiments By The SS (Nazi) Have you ever heard of the Nazi Party
led by Adolf Hitler, the Holocaust, or even the medical experiments of the SS?
Well, get ready to learn about it. Adolf Hitler was an anticommunist that fought for
Germany in WWI. He was the leader of the Nazi s. The Holocaust was a genocide in
which Adolf Hitlers Nazi Germanyand its collaborators killed about six million Jews.
The medical experiments of the SS were experiments performed by doctors on
prisoners. During World War II, a number of German physicians conducted painful
and often deadly experiments on thousands of concentration camp prisoners without
their consent. Unethical medical experimentation carried out during the Third Reich
may be divided into three categories. The three categories consisted of experiments
aimed at facilitating the survival of Axis military personnel. The second category of
experimentation aimed at developing and testing pharmaceuticals and treatment
methods for injuries and illnesses which German military and occupation personnel
encountered in the field. While the third category of medical experimentation sought
to advance the racial and ideological tenets of the Nazi worldview (https:/
/www.ushmm.org). Doctors have always been thought of as the saviors of mankind,
the healers, and caretakers of our utter existence. Even ancient civilizations revered
the medicine men as having special power to protect life. The trust of a physician is
sacred. This is why
First Opium War Research Paper
Good morning class and Mrs Bennett. The Hypothesis for this topic is that the First
Opium War caused problems in society because the criminal rate increased, as well
as the local consumption of the drug. This presentation will be discussing mainly
what opium is, what the first opium war was, and why it started. The Opium War was
a battle in Chinathat occurred during the mid 19th century. This war was between
western countries, such as Britain, and the Qing Dynasty, which ruled China between
1644 and 1911.
The First Opium War was conducted from 1839 to 1842, and was between China and
Britain. The reasoning for the war occurring was caused by China s attempts to
withhold the Opium trade. It was over diplomatic relations, trade, and the
administration of foreign nationals in China. Opium was illegally being imported into
China, through India, by the British. They grew the opium on their plantations in
India. At first, the British were addicted to stimulating Chinese tea. Trade imbalance
occurred due to the Chinese buying few European products and demanding Gold or
Silver in return. The reverse flow of Silver and the increasing number of opium
addicts alarmed Chinese officials, and resulted in over 20,000 chests of opium to be
confiscated. As opium was being imported into china, it caused unrest in society, the
local consumption to increase, and the decrease in the price of the drug. Being a
stimulant drug, Opium spread throughout the country, badly affecting its nation. ...

  • 1. The Tragedy Of Julius Caesar Essay Writing an essay on "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar" is no simple task. It requires a comprehensive understanding of Shakespearean literature, historical context, and the intricacies of the characters and their motivations. The play itself is rich in symbolism, themes, and complex character dynamics, making it a challenging subject to dissect and analyze. To begin with, delving into the historical background of Julius Caesar and the Roman Republic is necessary to provide a solid foundation for the essay. Understanding the political landscape, the rise of Caesar, and the conspiracies against him are critical elements that must be explored. This demands extensive research and a keen eye for historical accuracy. The characters in the play, each with their own motivations and conflicts, add another layer of complexity. Analyzing the tragic flaw in characters like Brutus or the political ambitions of Cassius requires a deep dive into their dialogues, actions, and relationships. Interpreting the nuances of Shakespearean language and poetry further complicates the writing process. Moreover, crafting a thesis that captures the essence of the tragedy and successfully weaving it throughout the essay is a challenge. The essay should not merely summarize the plot but offer insightful interpretations, connecting the dots between the characters, themes, and historical context. Maintaining a coherent and compelling argument while addressing the various facets of the play can be daunting. It's crucial to strike a balance between analysis and interpretation, ensuring that each paragraph contributes meaningfully to the overall narrative. Angela wasn t certain what she was expecting, but this certainly wasn t it. She treks up the steps to the large mansion, uncertain of what would come next. Angela takes a deep breath, and sounds the large lion head knocker, and the door swings open. Hello? Angela calls out, but there is no response. She decides to search for the headmistress s office so that she might become more acquainted with the building. As she turns a corner she collides with a petite woman. Pardon me, darling. She says, picking up her pocketbook from the ground. As she returns to standing, she sees Angela clasping on to her suitcase for dear life. This must be the new student, Miss Liddel. The woman murmurs to herself. Her chestnut brown eyes smile fondly down at the student. Yes, it s Angela Liddel. The girl says uncertainly, Who might you be? Pleased to make acquaintances Miss Liddel, darling, I am Headmistress Ariadne LeFoux, but you may simply call me Madame. I am the headmistress. If you d like to follow me, let s begin by giving you a tour of these grounds. The woman s grin is startling, as she doesn t seem the type to smile very often. The headmistress leads Angela to the dining hall, and as they approach the room, Madame pauses before throwing the double doors open. The dining hall is vast, with long wooden benches and identical long tables fill the room. It s a grand room, and ornate in style. What sort of classes are available? Angela asks, even more disappointed. This school intends to teach stuffy rich girls how to embroider and keep house. A highly unusual education is in store for you, Miss Liddel, darling. We specialize in more... investigative skills and covert operations. Madame LeFoux replies, eying Angela s reaction cautiously. Pardon, Madame. I don t understand... This is spy school? • 13. The Importance of Being Earnest, by Oscar Wilde The play, The Importance of Being Earnest, by Oscar Wilde was written in the Victorian Age of England. During this time morality was connected with sexual restraint and strict codes of conduct in public. This play hilariously critiques Victorian moral and social values while the characters in the play try to figure out the meaning of earnestness . Wilde uses humor and irony to publicly ridicule the self aggrandizing attitude of the Victorian upper classes, as well as to expose their duplicity and hypocrisy in regards to their social behaviors. The characters in the play are the primary source of the humor and irony. In Otto Reinert s Satiric Strategy in the Importance of Being Earnest he points out that, Wilde s basic formula for satire is their (the characters) assumption of a code of behavior that represents the reality that Victorian convention pretends to ignore (Reinert 15). The main character, Jack Worthing, is a prime example of this. To function in society he creates an alter ego named Ernest. This way, he can be Ernest in town and Jack in the country (Wilde 1737). Jack represents his conventional Victorian side he has responsibility as a guardian in the country, where it is his duty to adopt a very high moral tone on all subjects (Wilde 1738). Ernest, however, enables Jack to throw away his real life troubles and act carelessly, something he could never do as Jack. Workplace dilemmas can occur at any time and can appear as minor situations, or they can be a more serious situation. In individual settings, ethical dilemmas may seem more prominent and harder to determine what the right action to take would actually be, because no one else is present to say whether something is right or wrong. This is the situation in my case. I work at the Yorktown Gym for Robert Morris University as one of the health club monitors, and during my shift, I work alone. Because of the situation that other employees and I are in, we face multiple dilemmas every time we work. While I would never actually give in to any of these dilemmas, I face the dilemmas of lying about my hours, working out on the job, and leaving work whenever I want. All of these situations go along with ethical theories that explain why these dilemmas are right or wrong the reasoning behind them. The first ethical dilemma that employees and myself face at work is lying about our hours. To clock in, employees sign into a website and enter their start and end times. At the end of the pay period, the times are checked off and sent in to determine our paycheck. However, people switch shifts all the time so employee s times are always changing. Guillermo Coma of Aragon, who went on Columbus Second Voyage, wrote to his friend in Sicily, Nicolo Syllacio who translated his letters to Latin and distributed them to the Duke of Milan, Lodovico Maria Sforza about the people they encountered. Coma writes of Peter Margarita, a Spaniard whose word cannot be impugned . . . saw here a large number of Indians fixed on spits and roasted . . . . The cannibals do not deny this but openly affirm that they eat human flesh. More recent scholars dispute these accounts, citing a lack of credible accounts and no consumed Spaniards. Coma later gives contradictory statements about the TaГno, first writing, They are a savage race and capable of the greatest endurance. This statement attempts to establish both a paternalistic and physical justification for subjugation. He later describes them quite differently, Being intelligent, sharp witted and shrewd, they could easily be led to adopt our laws and manner of life, when they realize that our manners are more mild and out way

The transition from innocence to experience may also be seen in the poem My Last Duchess by Robert Browning. It starts off with the innocence of a young child most likely riding on a subway who makes eye contact with another young boy on the same car. Though neither is described to be older or smaller than the other boy. Cullen goes on to say that from May until December of all the things that had happened, this incident was the only thing he could remember. The tone in the poem quickly goes from a highly optimistic attitude of the boy towards the city then turns to a depressing tone a because of that one word. The poet clearly explains that racismis painful and no matter at what age you may have to face it, it leaves a scar in their minds for a lifetime. When the word which is quoted is uttered by the other boy a separation is brought upon that people of that time couldn t look past. Their first judgments of another person came from their first look and the impression they are able to conceive at that moment. This impression in most cases during the time was very prejudiced. By cutting down forests there is not only the loss of precious resources, but also the risk of extinction for numerous, tropical species. However, the impacts of deforestation on animals are not seen immediately since many of the side effects occur over time. As stated by Ian Sample, Though few species are killed off directly in forest clearances, many face a slower death sentence as their breeding rates fall and competition for food becomes more intense (Sample 1). Deforestation can attribute to a lack of resources, which in turn creates a battle of the fittest scenario for most species. Only the smartest and strongest breeds are able to survive in these circumstances, leaving the weaker ones to starve and eventually die off. A decrease in food and shelter, along with an increase in competition, is a deadly combination for many animal genera. Another detrimental side effect of deforestation is poaching. When these forests are cleared, animals are left in the open without a source of protection or camouflage, making them much easier for poachers to reach. If the loss of their habitat does not kill them, it is likely that illegal hunting will. Deforestation plays a prime role in climate change as well. When trees are cut down or burned, carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere. This is incredibly dangerous, as global warming by definition is the result of too much carbon dioxide in

A hero is a simple person who when faced with difficult choices, makes a difference with their decision. He/She leads by example, has moral courage, and makes good decisions which they act on immediately. All heroes lead by example. Abraham Lincolnwas a hero to many people because he freed the African Americans from slavery. Although the majority of the southern states did not want the slaves to be freed, Lincoln stayed strong in his fight to give every man their freedom. Another example of a man who led by example was Booker T. Washington. He wrote an autobiography, Up From Slavery. After slavery was abolished, he opened up a school for blacks in order to educate them. He taught them to how to work for their own food and to read and write. He also taught them how to keep good hygiene, the importance of dressing your best, having good manners, and most of all, speaking clearly and politely to everyone. Washington did not earned any money from the school. Instead, he solicited to affluent whites around the country. He faced many rejections, but remained persistent. Without funding, his school could not operate. Over time, his school grew and his students were able to contribute more. He soon became a hero in the eyes of his students as well as many people all over the world. A hero that leads by example is Elon Musk. He is providing solar power
