Industrialization was a period that brought about many changes. One of the changes
that happened during this period was the change of working atmospheres from farms
and homes to factories. Industrialization in both England and China had a massive
impact on the working conditions in both countries. In England, the percentage of

It s a new year to be back on campus to see friends. A new year to look forward to
events and classes, and another year of wading through library walk in the sea of
new faces. Over 5,000 new freshmen faces and over 2,000 transfer faces to be exact.
With many new students on campus, there are concerns about the universitys ability
to accommodate these new students with current resources.
The entering freshmen class had 84,222 applicants and 30,264 (35.9 percent) of those
applicants were admitted as stated on the University of California s website; a jump
from last year s 34 percent admittance rate. Although the number of students that will
attend remains unknown, we can expect over 5,000 new first year students based on
the number of the registered incoming students from UCSD s First Time Freshmen
Statistics in the fall of 2015, which was 5,292 students.
At the same time, 18,487 transfer students applied and 9,809 of those students were
admitted (53 percent) for the fall of 2016 as stated on the University of California s
website, a three percent increase from the previous year s admittance rate, and at

One fact that investors will likely consider, is the debate over the effect of wind
inconsistency, as well as wind speed on the effectiveness and overall power
generation by a wind farm. This is a significant consideration that many may not
think of upon first learning of wind power as a potential resource. Research on the
effect of wind speed on wind powergeneration was performed by Eric Wright who
states that wind speed had little effect on power generation on South African wind
turbines (Wright 2017). In fact, although climate change has led to an overall
decrease in wind speeds globally, the power generation was affected, at most 3.8
percent, and at the least 0.9 percent, which overall does not account for a large
enough percentage to cause concern over when considering investment (Wright

The use of fossil fuels has led to global warming and climate change due to the
carbon dioxide emitted when they are burned as fuel. Fossil fuels are created over
thousands of years, and once they are used, they are gone forever. Due to this and
their continued use over hundreds of years, they are becoming short in supply. They
are becoming more expensive as they become rarer and it no longer makes economic

Memory Chunking Research Paper
Abstract
The aim of the present study was to examine the effects (positive negative) of
chunking on memory recall. The participants, 648 undergraduate students, were
asked to recall as many words as possible from two conditions: a chunked list and a
non chunked list. The results were consistent with previous findings, supporting the
chunking hypothesis chunked lists of words would be significantly better in being
recalled by participants than non chunked lists of words. The results indicated that
chunking can increase memory recall performance in immediate free recall tasks and
on a broad scale, working memory in the real world. Future studies should examine
the effect of chunking by controlling the types of words used, investigating optimal
levels of words in each chunk and optimal number of chunks.
