One of the chief objectives of education is the development of desirable attitudes in the students. It is,
there fore, observable that the teachers must understand the various dimensions of an attitude. It is also to be kept in
view that we are required to develop several attitudes in the students like attitude towards studies, attitude towards
self, attitude towards colleagues, attitude towards certain ideals, etc. Attitude is purely a psychological concept.
From psychological point of view it is difficult to discriminate attitude from other psychological concepts like
interest, aptitude or appreciation. Still, it is defined as the readiness of mind to respond to an object, person or a
situation. It is something that is learned by an individual as he learns many other things in life. Attitude is an
orientation or disposition or a sort of readiness to react in a certain way. Which an individual carries with him in a
sort of latent form and it may become manifest in an individual’s behavior only when an occasion arises. When an
individual has to express his attitude he may react to them in a predetermined manner either favorably or
unfavorably or in different manner. Hence this study attempts to know the relationship of achievement in science
and scientific attitude among students and the found result from this study was that there is no significant
relationship in achievement in science and scientific attitude.

A Study of Anxiety in Relation to Academic Achievement among Higher Secondary...ijtsrd
Our education mainly stresses to develop cognitive aspect which deals with knowledge and to some extent develop cognitive aspect which deals with motor skills. The affective aspect which deals with emotions, feelings and sentiments of the child is totally neglected by our Education. For developing the child emotionally and socially mature, only formal education is not enough but informal education which the child gets from his family and society is also needed. In the past years, there has been extensive research on various approaches of teaching in secondary education. But no one method or approach has been found consistently superior to all. It reveals the fact that no single approach can be best suited to all the students. The most important question is to determine which students achieve more and under what conditions and also the factors which affect the achievement. An emerging area of research that holds promise in helping us to answer these questions is student's level of general mental ability in anxiety and emotional adjustment. Researchers and educationists are now attempting a thorough work in the area of general anxiety and emotional adjustment and found it a very potential one in influencing the student's academic achievement. The respective roles of teachers and students in teaching and learning science have become at present on of the most important domain of science education. Thus this study was conducted to determine the teaching competency of science and non science teachers in teaching science and how it is related to student's level of mastery of science concepts in selected public secondary school in Northern Samar. This study also tried to find out the significant relationship between the teaching competence of the respondents and the student's level of mastery of science. The significant difference between the teaching competence of science and non science majors was also determined in this study as well as the significant difference in the level of mastery of science concepts between students under a science major and those who are under non science teachers. Each geographical area of Northern Samar was represented the pacific area the central area and the balicuatro area. The respondents of the study included the science and non science teachers of the said schools, chosen randomly through fishbowl method, and the students under these teachers which were chosen through random sampling method. This study utilized the descriptive correlational research design and questionnaire as its main instrument. The level of competency of teachers was found to be “highly competent†in terms of their teaching skills, classroom management and majority indicated “competent†in terms of knowledge. On the other hand, a majority of the students were found to be “low†in terms of their level of mastery in science concepts. A significant relationship was indicated between the teaching competency of teachers and student's level of mastery. Similarly, a significant relationship was found out on the test of difference between the teaching competence of science and non science majors in teaching science subjects as well as to the level of mastery of science concepts between students under science and non science major teachers. A Study on the Relationship between Affective Learning outcome and Achievemen...QUESTJOURNAL
ABSTRACT: science, as a subject is universal and has no boundaries. Teaching of science should enable the students to enrich their Affective domain. The interest, attitude and aptitude in science help students to learn and apply scientific concepts and principles in a logical and effective way. Factors such as student motivation, attitudes, perceptions and values are included in the affective domain. It is therefore not surprising that affective domain learning outcomes are often the least considered when teachers plan or conduct their lessons. Teachers can increase their effectiveness by considering the affective domain in planning courses, delivering lectures and activities, and assessing student learning. In this paper, the investigator tried to find out whether there exists any relationship between Affective Learning Outcome and Achievement in Physics of Secondary School Students for the total sample and for the subsample based on Gender. The investigator also finds out whether exist any significant differences in the Affective Learning Outcome and Achievement in Physics among Secondary School Students based on Gender. Proper statistical techniques were used for collecting standardizing and analyzing the data.

INTRODUCTION
The future professional role would be an early childhood educator to teach both Science and English. This would educate students through lectures and hand-on learning with adherence to the curriculum. The setting would be the classroom whereby it would ensure that there is a happy environment for all students. It would be good to act as a role model and a mentor by encouraging students to learn and ensuring that they do not face challenges such as depression or discrimination which would inhibit their learning. This would ensure that interacting with students more often and learn about their families. Maintaining good relationships with their families and having frequent communication would be a good way to understand any challenges the students could be facing. The current experience is helping kindergarten students learn social studies while the previous experience in helping students complete their homework. The future goal is to help improve the performance of students in science. Comment by Juliet Krummick: perfect
The purpose of the study is to find various ways in which students could be motivated during the learning of science. The student outcomes that need influence are their knowledge and skills in science and their attitude towards learning the subject. Assessments have shown that some students lack sufficient knowledge in science. The performance of students in science is also an area of interest to be influenced because it also determines whether or not the students are engaged in learning. Students are expected to obtain a positive attitude toward science learning. They should achieve good grades to show that they understand the topics at hand.
The fact that many students lose interest in learning science as they progress to higher levels shows that they are not engaged enough during the initial years of science learning specifically in first grade. Decreased motivation leads to lower grades in science (Uhm et al, 2018). Teachers do not put much emphasis on the teaching of science because they dedicate most of their time to reading within the researcher’s school. Students, therefore, lose interest in learning science because they are not fully engaged in learning by their teachers.
Teachers should ensure that they motivate students to learn. The provision of autonomy support to students enhances their motivation in learning. Student-teacher relationships are important in optimizing student motivation. "Educators and parent ...
When children come to school, they already know a lot about measuring height, width etc. They know about near and far through games. In the game of marbles, they easily hit the marbles on the target. Apart from this, there are many examples of games in which children use the concepts of measurement. They measure in their environment. These children do all these things unintentionally. That is why it is necessary to bring the attention of children to the concepts they use. In the beginning, this can be done with non standard units and later they be introduced to standard units of measurements. It is important that all this work should be done by taking the examples of the childrens environment. 2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Abstract: One of the chief objectives of education is the development of desirable attitudes in the students. It is,
there fore, observable that the teachers must understand the various dimensions of an attitude.
Keywords: Science Attitude, Science Achievement, Secondary School Students, Government Schools, and Private
Schools.
I. Introduction
Scientific Attitude is the most important outcome of science teaching, through some educationalist view
that scientific attitude as a byproduct of teaching science, yet a majority of educationalists consider it to be major
product or the aim of science teaching.Thurston has used the concept of attitude as the sum total of man’s
inclinations and feelings, prejudice or bias, pre-conceived notions, ideas threats and convictions about any specific
topic.
Attitudes are developed, they are not inborn. They can be changed or modified over the time. These
modifications of attitudes are based on some of the determinants like culture, tensions, needs, emotions, experiences,
provisions etc,. Such an attitude is also noticed in the field of science, which we consider as Scientific attitude, Here
the scientific attitude means ones inclination or readiness of mind towards the pursuit of scientific knowledge. This
scientific attitude sometimes interchanged with scientific temper. This temperament is a tendency of an individual
who is very much inclined to learn scientific concepts.
Scientific attitude is the part of the attitude. And this is the second value monopolized by science, which is
transferable. These attitudes of a scientist involve critical observation, open-mindedness, suspended judgments, free
from superstition and false belief etc., which will be discussed in detail later on. The attitude once developed in the
students proves useful in later life of the child.Apart from this the teaching of science is based on sound
psychological footing. The principle of activity is the main basis of the teaching of science and satisfies the instincts
of curiosity, creativeness, self-assertion, and self-expression etc. of the pupils.
Scientific attitude refers to an individual’s outlook towards life. It means a willingness to adopt scientific
approaches and procedures for resolving issues, condition, and a stabilized mental set, which expresses itself in a
tendency to react to any member of a class of stimuli in the same general way. Scientific attitude predisposes a
person to engage in responsible action after weighing the possible consequences of alternative options, using
rational arguments based on evidence.
