Management Decision Problem: The problem confronting the decision
maker . It ask what the decision maker need to do.
Marketing Research Problem: A problem that entails determining
what information is needed and how it can be obtained in the most
feasible way.
Step 2: Approach to the Problem
• Objective/Theoretical Foundations
• Analytical Model: Verbal, Graphical, Mathematical
• Research Questions
• Hypotheses
• Specification of Information Needed
Step 3: Research Design
It specifies the details of the procedures necessary for obtaining the
information needed to Structure and solve marketing research
problem.
