In this paper, the system assessment theory of he concrete filled steel tubular arch bridge which is based on the theory of the reliability of system reliability is researched through the finite element analysis software ANSYS. Because the concrete filled steel tube arch bridge has the characteristics, such as the components numerous, complex forces, unable to list the of the explicit limit state equation, so use the probability design module of ANSYS (PDS) technology for the performance evaluation of the concrete filled steel tubular arch bridge with the combination of the reliability theory of monte carlo (MC) method, the response surface method (RSM) and the equivalent normal distribution method (JC method).According to the measured data and documents, selecte the random variables which have a large influence on structure reliability as the input parameters and use APDL language to write the structural response’s parameterized model of concrete filled steel tubular arch bridge. Then fit the response surface equation and get its statistical sampling parameters, and finally using Matlab program based on JC method to calculate the reliability index of the components. According to the structure characteristics of concrete filled steel tube arch bridge, the whole structure is as a series of arch rib series, derrick, floor system, selection of components of the minimum reliability index as the system's reliability index.

This paper studies the accuracy of AASHTO Standard Specifications and AASHTO LRFD design specifications girder distribution factors (GDFs) equations and their applicability to integral abutment bridges (IABs). A three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) model of the Scotch Road integral abutment bridge was developed using the finite element software ABAQUS/Cae. The bridge was subjected to vehicular live loading in single and multiple lanes in the FE model(s). The FE model was calibrated using load-displacement data obtained from field testing due to static truck loading. A comparison between the GDFs obtained from the FE models to those computed using both design codes was performed to evaluate their accuracy. A limited parametric study was conducted to evaluate crucial design parameters such as bridge deck thickness, span length, and piles lengths. The results showed that AASHTO LRFD GDFs equations are more conservative compared to those of AASHTO LFD equations in all cases. However, GDFs from the FE models compared more favorably to those calculated based on both design codes for the case single lane loading.

Software Based Traffic Separation at the Access LayerIJERA Editor
Access Network is the subscriber part of the telecommunications network or the network connecting the subscribers to the Internet Service Providers (ISP) [1]. In many countries including Tanzania access network is still predominantly made up of the copper cable based or other point to point wireless connections. This has kept the network in large proportions passive, inflexible and relatively unreliable [2]. This traditional network has long been tailored to the services generally provided i.e. voice, leased lines, Internet, corporate data and video conference, sometimes each provided by separate equipment and networks. This paper presents the study on approaches used by ISP in Tanzania to separate traffic in the access network. The paper also presents the effective way of traffic separation, whereby multiple hardware used to separate traffic currently has been replaced with single hardware. The traffic separation technique is based on creating logical links (software based) for each traffic type inside single physical link, providing a differentiated QoS support for each type of traffic according to its individual QoS requirements.

QoS Constrained H.264/SVC video streaming over Multicast Ad Hoc NetworksIJERA Editor
Support for QoS enabled multimedia transmission over multicast ad hoc network is necessary these days.
Researchers have developed various encoding/decoding schemes which can efficiently deliver the multimedia
contents over wireless networks. In case of ad hoc networks, performance of routing protocol depends upon
different factors i.e. traffic type being used for wireless transmission, dynamic network behavior, bandwidth and
computational power of nodes etc. It is essential to investigate the performance of multicast routing protocol
using various data types because they may consume huge network resources thus results in degradation of
transmission quality. In case of multicast group communication, Audio/Video data stream can cause extra
overhead on network performance and it is quite difficult to maintain Quality of Services for such type of data.
H.264 offers a rich codec library for Scalable Video Coding, to transfer SVC video traffic efficiently over
wireless networks. In this paper, we will analyze the performance of MAODV and PUMA routing protocols
using H.264/SVC video streaming traffic under the various QoS constraints such as Throughput, PDR, Delay,
Routing Load and Jitter etc.

This paper presents a Dye sensitized solar cell (DYSSC), which is called as future generation solar cell. It is a
new class of green photovoltaic cell based on photosynthesis principle in nature. DYSSCs are fabricated using
two different natural dyes as sensitizers, which extracted from the materials existing in nature and our life, such
as flowers, leaves, fruits, traditional Chinese medicines, and beverages. The use of sensitizers having a broad
absorption band in conjunction with oxide films of nanocrystalline morphology permits to harvest a large
fraction of sunlight. There are good prospects to produce these cells at lower cost and much better efficiency
than conventional semiconductor devices by introducing various chemical and natural dyes. DYSSC are
implemented with simple and new technique to overcome the energy crisis and excess cost of semiconductor
solar cells.

According to the different construction forms of PBL shear connectors in steel-concrete composite beam and steel-concrete joint section, eight finite element models in two groups of the two construction forms are conducted to study different mechanical properties of PBL shear connectors. Following conclusions can be drawn from the finite element method calculation results. The load-slip curve, mechanical properties of PBL shear connector are quite different in two construction forms. With the same construction parameter, the ultimate bearing capacity, shear stiffness and ductility factor of PBL shear connectors in steel-concrete joint section are better than that in steel-concrete composite beam. In addition, concrete strength, perforated diameter, thickness of the perforated plate, diameter of the perforated rebar and construction form are the influencing factors of the bearing capacity, shear stiffness and ductility factor of PBL shear connectors.
Concrete filled steel tubes subjected to axial compressioneSAT Journals
Abstract Concrete-filled steel tubular columns have excellent earth-quake resistant properties such as high strength and ductility and large energy absorption capacity. For concrete-filled steel tubes (CFST), local buckling commonly observed in bare steel columns is effectively prevented, giving a higher capacity. However if the concrete core and the steel tube are loaded simultaneously the steel tube expands more than the concrete core under moderate loads since Poisson’s ratio is higher for the steel section. The objective of this paper is To evaluate the accuracy of codal design approach by comparing experimental results with the analytical results obtained using EC4, ACI-318 and AISC-LRFD, for prediction of load carrying capacity of CFST columns under axial compression. Based on this the experimental programme is conducted on concrete filled steel tubes of length 300mm, thickness 1 to 3mm for circular, square and rectangular cross section with three different grades of concrete.200 T capacity Compression testing machine is used for experimental investigation.. The experimental results are compared with analytical results obtained by stated code of practices. From this it is concluded that EC4 gives conservative results. From which it is observed that EC4 gives conservative results with experimental results and it is concluded that EC4 provisions may be used for further analytical study to develop an expression to predict the section capacity CFST columns. As the grade of concrete increases the load carrying capacity is also increases. This paper presents the details of study carried out and the conclusions arrived. CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!

Abstract
In this paper, the system assessment theory of he concrete filled steel tubular arch bridge which is based on the
theory of the reliability of system reliability is researched through the finite element analysis software ANSYS.
Because the concrete filled steel tube arch bridge has the characteristics, such as the components numerous,
complex forces, unable to list the of the explicit limit state equation, so use the probability design module of
ANSYS (PDS) technology for the performance evaluation of the concrete filled steel tubular arch bridge with
the combination of the reliability theory of monte carlo (MC) method, the response surface method (RSM) and
the equivalent normal distribution method (JC method).According to the measured data and documents, selecte
the random variables which have a large influence on structure reliability as the input parameters and use APDL
language to write the structural response’s parameterized model of concrete filled steel tubular arch bridge. Then
fit the response surface equation and get its statistical sampling parameters, and finally using Matlab program
based on JC method to calculate the reliability index of the components. According to the structure
characteristics of concrete filled steel tube arch bridge, the whole structure is as a series of arch rib series,
derrick, floor system, selection of components of the minimum reliability index as the system's reliability index.

3.2finite element modeling
According to the bridge floor system structure,
the arch axis linear as well as the main arch rib
concrete strength data to modify the finite element
model, the resulting finite element model conforms
to the real bridge. on the choice of elements, the main
arch rib use double-cell: steel beam element--beam44
and concrete beam element-- beam44;derrick use bar
element--link10;tie rod, beams with beam element--
beam44;bridge panel use the plate
element--shell63.The bridge deck pavement and the
tie bar prestressed use equivalent load simulation and
the vehicle load adopts full bridge load in the most
unfavorable conditions. The whole bridge finite
element model is shown in figure 2.
3.3 Fitting the Response Surface and the Solution
of the Reliability Index
Limit state equation is the key to judge structure
failure or not and the foundation of reliability
assessment. In this paper, the limit state equation of
concrete filled steel tubular arch bridge are based on
concrete and steel tube of the allowable stress. Set up
the steel tube arch rib, tie rod, beam and arch rib
concrete and the limit state function of the
derrick. Then extract the two maximum stress
indicators of the concrete and steel tube the as the
failure criterions and establish the limit state
equations, The equation is as follows:
By the concrete material yield stress as a limit
state equation:
By the steel tube material yield stress as a limit
state equation:
Among them: Xi for the table 1 set of random
variables:
σcmaxrepresentation the maximum Mises stress
of concrete of arch bridge during the current
operation;
σsmaxrepresentation the maximum Mises stress
of steel tube of arch bridge during the current
operation;
[σc] representation the allowable stress of s
concrete;
[σs] representation the allowable stress of steel
tube.
Through the analysis, concrete and steel material
strength parameters affect the normal use of structure
system state significantly..So the response surface of
the structure can be fitted by them, respectively
based on the serviceability limit state equation of the
structure’s material strength. The response surface
equation are shown in table 2

According to the structure characteristics of the
concrete filled steel tube arc bridge, the main arch rib,
tie rod, and the structure of bridge deck structure are
as a series (Because the derricks of the bridge have
just for been replaced, which can be thought as
absolute safety status, so the tie bar for the
calculation of reliability index don’t need for
reliability analysis). Evaluated the tandem structure
characteristics, Select the structure reliability index
of the evaluation at the lowest level as the system's
reliability index. According to the front of the Matlab
program, use the JC method for the computation of
the statistical parameters of random variables. Then
obtain the results as follows: the reliable indicator of
function ZG1 (the main arch rib’s steel pipe
compression stress) is β= +∞; the reliable indicator
of function ZG2 (main arch rib concrete’s
compressive stress) is β = 35.7865; the reliable
indicator of function ZG3 (tie bar concrete
compressive stress) is β= 6.5708; the reliable
indicators of function ZG4 (beam compressive stress
of concrete) is β= 21.7993. The reliability index of
the tie bar concrete compressive stress is as bridge
upper system reliability index of concrete filled steel

IV. Conclusion
This paper introduce the performance evaluation
of concrete filled steel tube arch bridge- whose
functions are unable to list clearly- based on the
theory of the reliability using the ANSYS PDS
Technology with the combination of the monte carlo
method, the response surface method, equivalent
normal distribution method.
Evaluation results show that the bridge of the tie
bar’s reliability index is minimum, but still higher
than the lower limit of the first kind’s bridges. The
reliability indexes of the steel tube arch rib and the
concrete arch rib, concrete beams are far higher than
the lower limit of the first kind’s bridges.
Comprehensive the facts the bridge into use fixed
number of year shorter, the strength index decline not
obvious, no significant injury of actual testing results,
the bridge which is in good condition can ensure the
safety of the operation.
