1. Story-telling Reflection
My Story is called THENINJA FIGHT.
The Planning Phase:
I chose to write a fantasy/adventure genre because fantasy has cool magic and
adventures can be in jungles. The most interesting thing about my main
character isthat Kazukiis the most powerful andhe savesBISS.I enjoyed
creating the setting becauseit was cool to work on the story and to do drawing
and to write this.
While making my plot diagram, I found it difficult to make the plot diagram
because I don’t know what events to put in.My best idea during planning
wasthat one ninja has to be more powerful. While planning this story I learned
the ninjas are very good.
The Drafting Phase:
It was enjoyable to write my story because we worked very hard on our story. I
am proud of my story because I workedvery hard.During the Writing
Workshops, I became better at writing sentences. If I wrote it again, I would
improve my story by having no teacher help.
The Digital Phase:
I am proud of my movie because it was fun to do it and it was fun to work with
the group.I found it easy to create the storyboard because we had already
written the story so it was no problem.
My role was to be the soundtrack engineer and to find the most powerful
sound in the world. I worked especially hard atwriting the story.The thing I am
most happy with is our movie making in this UOI. While making the movie, I
learned many new technology skills in iMovie. If I made the movie again, I
would try tomake the movie more cool and good.
Collaboration:
Sometimes, I enjoyed group work because we all worked very hard on our
movie.Other times, I didn’t enjoy group work because they all worked on the
computer.While working in a group, I learned how to make a good work with
other people. During the unit, our group became better atfinding soundsand
editing the story.
What else?
During this story-telling unit I especially enjoyed the story writing.
After this unit, I might continue to write stories at home.
