1. Story-telling Reflection
My Story is calledUnderwater Adventure
The Planning Process:
I chose to write a fantasy &adventure genre because a fantasy & adventure
story is fun to read and is fun to write in many different ways.The most
interesting thing about my main character is that she is a dolphin and she is
brave, kind and likes adventure.We chose to the set the story at a magical
land to show a funny and different culture.While making my plot diagram, I
found it difficult to put the ideas of the plot onto paper because is too hard.
My best idea during planning was that Dolline’s three best friendwould get
caught by an evil octopus. While planning this story I learned how to take
team ideas to the story.
The Drafting & Revising Processes:
It was enjoyable to write my story draft because I learned how to draft.
I am proud of my story because I like it. During the Writing Workshops, I
learned how to use dialogue and flash backs andIbecame better at writing
using sizzling starts.While talking to MrCrawforwd, I learned how to write a
story that make sense.If I wrote it again, I would try to improve my story by
using thinking and a sizzling start.
Digital Production and Editing:
I am proud of my movie becauseme and my group people created it.I found it
difficult to create the storyboard because our group sometimes fought.My
role was to be the soundtrack engineer.I worked especially hard atfinding the
right sound for the right part.The thing I am most happy with is our group
didn’t fight during this part.While making the movie, I learned many new
technology skills in iMovie. I became much better at using IMovie.
If I made the movie again, I would try to use iMovie and GarageBand again.
Collaboration:
Sometimes, I enjoyed group work because I can hear my group talk very well.
Other times, I didn’t enjoy group work becauseit is to hard to hear my group
talking.While working in a group, I learned how to communicate.During the
unit, our group became better at talking kindly.
What else?
During this story-telling unit I especially enjoyed creating the digital story.
After this unit, I will continue to wirte more stories to improve my writing.
