Story-telling Reflection

My Story is called The Witch’s War.

The Planning Phase:
I wrote a fantasy genre because our main characters are a wizard and a unicorn in the story
and they are not real. The most interesting thing about my main character is he is scared of
the volcano and does not rule in an angry way.I enjoyed creating the setting because we
named the things and used a bit of everyone’s art to create the planet. While making my plot
diagram, I found it difficult to get enough facts in the plot diagram. My best idea during
planning was having a volcano in the setting. While planning this story I learned how to use
dialogue and make the start a bit more interesting.

The Drafting Phase:
It was enjoyable to write my story because we had planned the plot and the setting so we
knew what to write.I am proud of my story because it took a long time. I am proud because
I put a lot of effort in making the story.During the Writing Workshops, I became better at
using dialogue and making better starts to my sentences. If I wrote it again, I would improve
my story by using more dialogues and making an even better start.

The Digital Phase:
I am proud of my movie because it was a long process and we finished it.So I am proud
that we got it finished. I found it difficult to create the storyboard because everyone wanted
it their way.
My role was to be the soundtrack engineer. I worked especially hard at getting the music
right. The thing I am most happy with is that it sounded likefantasy and I like fantasy. While
making the movie, I learned many new technology skills in iMovie. I became much better at
zooming and panning. If I made the movie again, I would try to make it longer and put in
more kinds of music.

Collaboration:
Sometimes, I enjoyed group work because you could finish the task faster.Other times, I
didn’t enjoy group work because every body was bossy and screaming and it felt out of
control .During the unit, our group became better at working together without arguing.

What else?
During this story-telling unit I enjoyed every thing. After this unit, I might continue to make
movies the way we did.
