1. Story-telling Reflection
My Story is called Alien Destiny.
The Planning Phase:
I chose to write a fantasy/adventure genre because it would be fun for the
audience.The most interesting thing about my main character is thatthe three
boys are the rich people.I enjoyed creating the setting because it was really fun
to make the settings,especially the places.While making my plot diagram, I
found it difficult toeidt,becausein each chapter we had to put some important
details.My best idea during planning wasto put a Indiana Jones music for the
climax.While planning this story I learned that we had to use some interesting
vocabularyand that the dialogue gives more excitement.
The Drafting Phase:
It was difficult to write my story because I wanted to make my story perfect.I
am proud of my story becausethe sound effects were good.During the Writing
Workshops, I became better atwriting.The workshops were helpful.If I wrote it
again, I would improve my story byreviewing after the workshops.
The Digital Phase:
I am proud of my movie becausethe illustrations looked great.
I found it easy to create the storyboard because I just had to think of the parts
of climaxes.My role was to be theillustrator.I worked especially hard at making
the pictures look nice.The thing I am most happy with is that I got some
partners that were such geniuses.While making the movie, I learned many new
technology skills in iMovie. I became much better at zooming because Dennis
and Krishna taught me how to use computers well.If I made the movie again, I
would try to make it more cool.
Collaboration:
Sometimes, I enjoyed group work because we had fun discussions and also
participated.Other times, I didn’t enjoy group work because others were not
agreeing on person’s idea.While working in a group, I learned not to distract my
partners.During the unit, our group became better at being friendly because we
are friends!
What else?
During this story-telling unit I especially enjoyed doing my job because I liked to
draw pictures.After this unit, I might continue to illustrate because everyone
told me that I am a good artist.
