This document defines ecocriticism as the study of the relationship between literature and the physical environment from an earth-centered perspective. It notes that William Rueckert may have been the first to use the term "ecocriticism" in 1978. Ecocriticism expands the notion of "the world" in literary analysis to include the entire ecosphere. Ecocritics ask questions about how nature is represented in a work and the role the physical setting plays, and whether the values expressed are consistent with ecological wisdom.
This document provides an overview of ecocriticism as a theory and approach to literary studies. It defines ecocriticism as the interdisciplinary study of literature and the environment. The document notes that ecocriticism emerged in the 1960s and discusses its two waves - the first in the 1980s emphasized writing about nature, while the second in the 1990s broadened the definition of environment and led to ecojustice movements. It identifies William Rueckert's 1978 essay as coining the term "ecocriticism" and discusses different types including pastoral, wilderness, and ecofeminism approaches. The concept of nature in literary works is not altogether a new phenomenon. It has been spotted in the earliest works of literature and has been a concept that poets approach, revealing how they perceive nature and what kind of relationship they might share. With every scientific discovery, however, an impact on the human mind may reframe the manner of perception. The twentieth century has witnessed a drastic increase in scientific studies that reveal the impact of humans on the natural environment, which in turn effected the way people think about the relationship between human societies and nature. With new perceptions of viewing nature, the way people narrate stories and write poetry has been changing as well. That is why the manner and aims of how nature has been approached and analyzed in poetry has drastically changed in todayโs world. One of the most common eras that witnessed a wide use of nature is Romantic Age. This presentation shall analyze and evaluate Romantic poetry according to the most recent types of literary criticism; โecocriticismโ showing thereby if it is possible to categorize the poetic productions during this era under the means of โecopoetry.โ

Treatment of Nature, Mysticism & Pantheism in William Wordsworth's PoemsNirav Amreliya
ย
William Wordsworth was a trailblazer of the Romantic movement in English poetry. He wrote about nature, mysticism, and rustic life in his poems. Nature served as a teacher for Wordsworth, and he believed people living close to nature were better suited for his poetry. His poems explored mystical revelations and pantheism, the idea that God is present in all things in the universe. Wordsworth received both praise and criticism from other poets and critics for his focus on simple, rustic themes and subjects found in nature.

This document presents a research proposal on applying ecocriticism to analyze the works of four Romantic poets - William Wordsworth, Lord Byron, Percy Bysshe Shelley, and John Keats. The proposal defines ecocriticism as studying the relationship between literature and the physical environment. It will examine how nature is represented in their works, the role of physical settings, whether the values align with environmental wisdom, and literature's impact on human relationships with nature. Analyzing these poets through an ecocritical lens could help raise environmental awareness and contribute to sustainable development and responding to current ecological issues. The methodology will use an analytical, interpretative, and comparative approach.
Ecocriticism examines the relationship between literature and the environment through an interdisciplinary lens. Ecocritics analyze how nature is portrayed in texts and how literature can help address environmental issues. They consider questions like how nature and humanity's place within it are represented, whether nature exists for human needs alone, and how literature and literary studies can contribute to ecological discussions. Ecocriticism emerged in response to environmental crises and seeks to promote ecocentric perspectives in re-examining works of literature.
This document provides an overview of ecocriticism theory. Some key points:
- Ecocriticism examines the relationship between literature and the physical environment from an earth-centered perspective.
- It emphasizes the importance of considering how human activities impact the environment and how nature influences culture.
- Ecocriticism encourages raising awareness about environmental issues and the need for sustainability through analyzing how nature is portrayed in literature.

Poetry, he wrote in the Preface, originates from โthe spontaneous overflow of powerful feelingsโ which is filtered through โemotion recollected in tranquillityโ.
William Wordsworth and Robert Frost are both considered nature poets. Wordsworth viewed nature as something that brings love and enjoyment, as depicted in poems like "Lines Written in Early Spring" and "Daffodils". Frost viewed nature as related to holiness and divinity, with many of his poems set in New England and dealing with man's relationship with nature, as seen in "Fire and Ice" and "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening". While both poets used nature in their works, Wordsworth saw it as a source of escape from human suffering, whereas Frost portrayed it as revealing the dark depths of human nature and portraying humans as doomed to their fate.
This document is an English project on the romantic philosophy in the poetry of William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge. It includes an abstract, introduction, background sections on both poets, analyses of their poetry focusing on nature themes, and a conclusion discussing key romantic tenets. The original concept of love may differ from person to person as well as society to society and culture to culture. It can be interpreted differently. Love is a remarkable thing which has bounded the society and the people always to each other. Mysticism would best be assumption of as a gathering of individual practices, sermons, scripts, institutes, societies, and familiarities aimed at human alteration, variously defined in different traditions. The person is known as William James which has tried to clear the concept of mysticism. The research will find out how the works of two different poets living in different continents and having opposite cultural backgrounds are addressing the same ideas and incorporating similar notions about mysticism and love. This study is devised out of curiosity weather William Wordsworth and Ameer Hamza Shinwariโs poetry contains the elements of mysticism and love. This study tries to see the different dimension of his work and give the proper and the required conclusion.
The poem "Neither Out Far nor In Deep" by Robert Frost depicts people's foolishness in spending all their time searching for the truth about the afterlife. The poem uses symbols like the sea and a standing gull to represent people's futile attempts to understand life's greatest mystery beyond their own lives. Through rhyme and imagery of a beach scene, the poem shows people neglecting the present to gaze endlessly at the sea in hopes of finding answers, though the view never changes. It criticizes wasting one's purpose in the world to excessively worry about things that cannot be known with certainty.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17Celine George
ย
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.
THE SACRIFICE HOW PRO-PALESTINE PROTESTS STUDENTS ARE SACRIFICING TO CHANGE T...indexPub
ย
The recent surge in pro-Palestine student activism has prompted significant responses from universities, ranging from negotiations and divestment commitments to increased transparency about investments in companies supporting the war on Gaza. This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. However, the researchers call for acknowledging the broader Impact of these sacrifices on the future global movement of FreePalestine.

3. Introduction:
William Wordsworth as the most Celebrated
and Influential Romantic English Poet and
as the greatest English Poet after
Shakespeare and Milton.
In 1798,at the age of 28,Wordsworth
claimed that he had long been a worshipper
of Nature. For many readers he became, and
for some is still, its high priest.(Kiran)
He suggests that a poem originates in a
recollection "of a splendour in the objects of
sense."(Hodges)
4. Wordsworth's images and metaphors mix natural scenery
, religious symbolism , and the relics of the poet's rustic
childhood cottages , hedgerows , orchards , and other
places where humanity intersects with nature .
Children form an intense bond with nature , so much so
that they appear to be a part of the natural world , rather
than a part of the human , social world . Their
relationship to nature is passionate . As children age and
reach maturity , they lose this connection but gain an
ability to feel emotions . Through the power of the human
mind , particularly memory, adults can recollect the
connection to their youth .(Kiran)
5. Wordsworth's attitude towards Nature can be clearly
differentiated from that of the other great poets of Nature .
Four Stages according to his Poem Tintern Abbey.
His Philosophical aspect of Spirituality.
Third stage lead Fourth stage
โ Old Age- Adopt the Spiritualism of Nature,he sees a bigger Soul
running threw all the objects of Nature awaiting single hall.
โ As a Child he enjoyed Nature with
the help of Sense of Seen,Hearing,
Taste, Touch and Smell.
โ Intellectualization helps him to Think
upon the Object of Nature.
โ At Middle age of his life He loves
Nature for the sake of Nature.
6. Elements of Nature:
โNature are divided into Internal nature and
External nature. External nature refers to the
universe that are not made by people and
it is controlled by divine power whereas Internal
nature is refers to the usual way that
a human or animal behaves or itโs part of their
character or basic qualities of a thing.โ
(Safdarian)

10. Wordsworth had his passion of Nature fixed in
his blood. It was a necessity of his being, like
that of a mulberry leaf to the silkworm and
through his commerce with Nature did he live
and breathe.
(DEVLIN)
Wordsworth's passion for Nature is well known as
De Quincey Puts it:
11. Ecocriticism:
โEcocriticism is the study of the relationship between
literature and the physical environment. It takes an
earth centered approach to literary studies.โ(Glotfelty
and Fromm) - Cheryll Glotfelty
The central premise of an
ecocritical perspective is that
human culture is connected to
the physical world , and
humans inevitably affect and
are affected by the natural
world.
12. Ecocriticism, ultimately a form of environmental
advocacy, is primarily a critical and literary tool, a kind
of reading designed to expose and facilitate analysis of
a text's orientation both to the world it imagines and to
the world in which it takes shape, along with the
conditions and contexts that affect that orientation,
whatever it might be.(KERN)
The nature of representation is one of
the chief concerns of literary theory,
but the preponderance of theory is
something else ecocritics dislike
about current literary studies.
(Phillips)
13. We are considered Land as our mother. Land is
able to produce crop and mother of nature.
Land is owned by man.
14. The Chipko Movement was a non-violent
agitation in 1973 that was aimed at protection
and conservation of trees, but, perhaps, it is best
remembered for the collective mobilisation of
women for the cause of preserving forests, which
also brought about a change in attitude
regarding their own status in society. The
uprising against the felling of trees and
maintaining the ecological balance originated in
Uttar Pradeshโs Chamoli district (now
Uttarakhand) in 1973 and in no time spilled onto
other states in north India. The name of the
movement โChipkoโ comes from the word
โembraceโ, as the villagers hugged the trees and
encirled them to prevent being hacked.
16. However, not many people know that the
original Chipko Movement dates back to
the 18th century and was started by
Rajasthanโs Bishnoi community. The
incident has been etched in the annals of
history for the sacrifice of a group of
villagers, who led by a lady named Amrita
Devi, laid down their lives while
protecting trees from being felled on the
orders of the King of Jodhpur. After this
incident, the king, in a royal decree,
banned cutting of trees in all Bishnoi
villages.
