Basketball today is one of the leading sports when is it comes to entertainment.
This sport is known to have an incredibly high amount of supporters. There is
something about the sport that thrills and excites its viewers. This sport is very
entertaining because it of its fast scoring and its high pace of things. However, I
am sure we have all witnessed a game of stalling were teams refuse to pass the ball
in order to prevent the opposing team from scoring. In the United States today only
eight states allow unlimited use of 30 or 35 second shot clock in high school
basketballgames. Shot clocks are designed to increase the pace of the placers and
prevent any type of stalling. It is clear that many basketball teams take advantage
of not having a shot clock. This is an issue because teams appear to purposely take
up time to prevent opposing teams from scoring. Not only does it take away from
the actual purpose and meaning of the game but it hurts the players when it comes to
transitioning to the next level of basketball. The use of shot clocks at high school
basketball games is a change that must occur. Every school in the united states should
be encouraged to use shot clocks at high school games.
The only way to prevent teams from taking advantage of the regulation time would
be to encourage all lower level basketball games to require the use of shot clocks at
each game. The use of shot clocks would encourage all teams to use their actual
abilities and talents to win

Causes And Symptoms Of Meningitis
Introduction/Background/History: Meningitis is caused by an inflammation
surrounding your spinal cord and brain. The inflammation is usually caused by fluid
surrounding your brain and spinal cord. It mostly occurs in children, teens, and young
adults. Meningitis also affects older adults who have a weaker immune systemand
people in general who have illnesses that leads to a weak immune system. This is a
serious illness but most of the time if the symptoms are diagnosed properly and
treated correctly you may make a speedy recovery. There are many different types of
meningitissuch as fungal, bacterial, viral, parasitic, and non infectious. The most
common types of meningitis are viral and bacterial meningitis. Viral meningitis is
caused by viral infections in the layers of tissues that covers the meninges. The
symptoms of viral meningitis usually are headaches, muscle aches, stiff neck, and the
general feeling of being sick. Bacterial meningitis is caused by bacteriain the
environment that enters the bloodstream and eventually travels to the brain and
spinal cord. Symptoms of bacterial meningitis includes high fever, headaches,
confusion, increased drowsiness and stiffness in neck. If bacterial meningitis is
serious and life threating you may have seizures and strokes.

Greek culture has made its own mark on our society in the United States. Before
women s suffrage, U.S. women had the same roles as Greek women did. The main
part of this play talks about the fight for who gets Helen, and the role that Iphigenia
has in this task. A lot of Greek myths and plays reference sacrifices of a daughter to a
god, in order to help a group of people or make the god happy. The main people of
this story: Helen and Menelaus, and Iphigenia, who all have their specific roles in

townspeople and people of the church. In Anglo Saxon culture, church officials

Humans are polluting our atmosphere causing the Greenhouse Effect. What s the
Greenhouse Effect? The Greenhouse Effect can be visualized as follows: imagine
that Earth has been encircled by a giant glass sphere. The heat of the sun penetrates
through the glass. Some of the heat is absorbed by the Earth, and some is radiated
back towards space. The radiated heat reaches the glass sphere and is prevented from

towards the Earth, which heats it up tremendously.

Methane (CH4). CFC s destroy ozone molecules by the thousands, causing a smaller
amount of ozone in the ozone layer. This allows more UV rays hit the Earth s surface,
causing a slight increase of the Earth s temperature. The more ozone molecules
destroyed, the more UV rays enter the Earth s atmosphere, making the temperature

The next major gas is carbon dioxide. Small amounts of carbon dioxide in the air
helps keep heat in the Earth in the vital process of the Greenhouse Effect. As car
exhausts and industries continue to shoot carbon dioxide in the air, the amount of
carbon dioxide will increase. This causes more heat to be kept, increasing the Earth s

The third gas is nitrous oxide. Nitrous oxide has pretty much the same effect on the
ozone as the chloroflourocarbons, but nitrous oxide only destroys about one forth of
what the chloroflourocarbons destroy.

carbon dioxide, but methane has a less harmful effect on

relating to travel, writing, and learning successfully to the intended audience of the
young or old adult.
The objective of Orion magazine is to not only providing valuable information to
numerous scientific related articles, but also to cultural concerns. I was able to
conclude that it is an extremely successful entertainment and educational site. The
design of the website is very bright and appealing to the eye. Its layout is inviting
and easy to navigate. When looking further into the magazine s design, one sees that
it is consistent with all the pages. There are many graphics including, photographs,
which eventually lead the reader into more personal topics. This attention grabbing
mechanism, essentially allows the audience to explore what they are interested in.
The articles are also placed in an orderly fashion and do not create a cluttered

Louis Armstrong Song Analysis
Summary: Louis Armstrong singing is remarkable. I can understand why he
inspired so many people in the music industry. What I love about this album is his
singing and his form in trumpet playing. Listening to Armstrong voice, as well as
his lyrics, flushes away my sorrow when I listen to What a Wonderful World and
Sittin in the Sun. These types of songs help me appreciate what I have. Armstrong
duet with Bing Cosby is adorable. Gone Fishin song has humor, in addition, both
man scats singing makes me smile. Armstrong and Cosby voices work well in
numerous levels together. When you Smile (The World Smile with you) is one of my
favorites. I can never get enough of this song. The way Armstrong plays his trumpet
