The Box and the Old toys
Once, there was an empty box in the corner of the store. He has brown
color and has big space to put on. Later on, an old man glued a paper
on the box. The box couldn't see what was written but he just said to
himself, "Thanks God, my existence has still a purpose even just a trash." He
was once a box for alcoholic drink.
Many days have passed, an adult woman have placed a doll that has
dirty face and a golden hair with uneven cut. The box became happy
that finally he got filled with a garbage doll.
"Hi Doll! How you doing?" the box approached. "In your case, I can see
that you were hardly played by your owner." "Hey box! Good thing I'm
here inside you." Doll replied. "If you just to know my story, surely you will
feel pity on me." "Since we have together, I'm willing to listen if you don't
mind?" the Box smiled.
"Sure. Uhm – at the beginning, I was so very pretty. I had this golden hair
like the color of a corn and had this very scentful red dress. Lots of children
adored me but I ended up with a rich young girl, I didn't expect that she
was so violent. Her toys, including me were not taken care of and tortured
most of the time. Imagine how hell I experienced on her; she dumped me
on the mud and even cut my golden hair intentionally. Phew, my beauty
was gone because of a wicked kid who didn't give worth for toys." "That's
was very awful. Don't worry you'll be safe here." That was the only thing
the box said to his first visitor.
Other days passed, a father put a blue Robot in the box.
"Hello Robot! How are you?" the Doll and the Box welcomed. "Oh—well,
not fine. I feel ashamed of myself because I got a broken arm and even if
a new battery replace on m, I'm never useful anymore. In short, I'm a
trash!" the robot said in dismay.
"We are willing to listen; at least we have the three of us." The Box said.
"Alright this is how it goes—I'm a Robot who was once a product of a
popular brand on television. I was bought by a nice father for his younger
son. The younger son was very glad to have me; however, the elder kid
envied him. Some time when the younger son played, his brother asked
him if he could borrow me, but he refused. His brother was pissed off so he
forced to get me on him. They pulled me side by side until my arms were
broken into parts." "Phew, children must learn to be discipline." The Doll
insisted.
"Yeah right, so what happened was… I fell down, my arms were broken
and also the battery area. When the father knew about their fight, he
punished his sons and decided to throw me instead. He added that he
won't buy a new one until they would learn their lesson and know the true
meaning of sharing." the Robot aforesaid. "Definitely true, people must
learn how to share especially in their family." The Doll and the Box talked
to each other.
On the other day, one lad put a very expensive and very shiny race car in
the box.
"Hello fella! What's up?" the Doll and the Robot greeted. "Welcome to the
junk!"
"Not good." the Race car said in melancholy.
"Why? What's wrong? You have recently come here fresh and new, what's
your story? We are here to listen." the Box aforementioned.
"Ok. The owner of me was not a kid, you saw that boy? He used to collect
race cars. He would display us inside the cabinet. I just wished I could ask
him that my purpose was to give joy and not to be flaunted."
"But why you were brought here?" the Doll asked.
"That boy was going to live in other country. He chose those race cars he
would bring in. Unfortunately, I wasn't his favorites, so I'm doomed here."
"Not to be played by children was the worst thing for us toys ever!" Robot
exclaimed.
The next day, a pretty lady placed a Teddy Bear inside the box.
"Welcome aboard!" the toys inside the box welcomed the Teddy Bear in
chorus.
"Wow! We're so many here, thanks God I won't be alone anymore." The
colored brown Teddy Bear replied.
"We were four here who've been exchanging stories for a while. How
about you? Could you share us your story?" the Box insisted.
"No problem! Well, I'm a fluffy bear who've been a friend of a young girl.
She cuddled me, kissed me and she even told many secrets to me. She
took care of me indeed. We've been friends for so many years, but …"
Teddy Bear paused with a doubt on his face.
"And then? I thought you had a nice experience with her?" Robot said
with curiosity.
"I'm just wondering why she put me here. She said to me that she was
bigger now that she needed to let go of me. She also added that she
hoped someone would found and treat me like a friend just as much as
she did."
"At least for some reason she left you with an overwhelmed farewell." The
Race car explained.
As time goes by, the box that was so empty before, was almost filled with
different toys vary in shapes and colors like balls, animals, airplane,
soldiers, dinosaurs and others carrying their own stories.
Finally, the old man who owned the store was the last one to put a piece
of junk inside the box. He placed a bar of clay with rainbow colors.
"Hey guys! Take a look! A unique junk just arrived." The Doll said with
excitement.
"Hi! We were once a toy—but now wasted. What are you?" Robot
corrected himself and asked directly to the last visitor.
"Are you guys a soap that didn't bubble?" the Race car uttered.
"Maybe they're candies that didn't purchase?" Teddy Bear enunciated.
"Or chocolate that has already expired?" the other toys assumed.
"Fellas! I and my company may be considered also as a toy." The orange
clay spoke. "We are called—Clay."
"Clay? What's that?" the Box eagerly asked.
"Actually, we are just a simple toy. We are soft and sticky to hold but you
can create any figures or objects you wanted to do. You can mold us
whatever you want to make." the violet clay answered.
"That's awesome! Could you share us a story?" the Teddy Bear asked with
an inquisitive look.
"We were owned by a blind kid, he went blind when he got a car
accident. He lost his self-esteem since that day, he felt worthless and
lonely which leaded him to become uncheerful and not sociable." The
green clay started.
"Good thing we were given to him by his grandfather. They spent most of
the time with each other making different figures and colors. Even we
were amazed on what they made to us." Blue clay pronounced happily.
"Somehow we had helped to nurture the capabilities of that blind kid.
Though he lost his sight, he used his imagination to create amazing
objects based on what he touched. Thus, he regained his self-esteem and
became a great artist. Did you know he was one of those legendary
artists in arts?" the yellow clay proudly said.
"Arts? What is Arts?" the Box asked in confusion.
"Arts refer to any exercises which people could express their feelings and
the beauty of his surroundings based on his senses and what he
experienced. Did you know that the blind kid became famous on
sculpture and literary?" the red clay smiled.
"Wow! That was something really to be proud of! Hope we could find
children who will enjoy playing and will be able to learn with us too." The
toys daydreamed.
They were in the midst of nice conversation when the old man finally
closed the box. The toys went scared because for all they knew, they
would be thrown away in the mountain of trash. Suddenly, they prayed.
"God, we pray somebody would get to see us, hoping it is children. So
that we could offer them the enjoyment and the happiness they deserve.
Please be an instrument to us for them to learn the essence of giving and
friendship. Likewise, widen their imagination to nourish their talents. Hope
we find children that would consider us toys as a part of their childhood."
The Box travelled so far. Hence, inside him has a pandemonium, the toys
were bumping, rolling, tumbling and bouncing upwards and downwards.
The toys forgot their anxiety about the mountain of garbage they thought
they're destined to.
At last, the box was put inside a big truck together with the other boxes.
The box read the paper glued on his fellow boxes.
"Box of Happiness. Season for Giving."
The box just smiled. He imagined the children's faces eager for toys and
toys inside him who were longing for the love of the children.

"Are you guys a soap that didn't bubble?" the Race car uttered. "Maybe they're candies that didn't purchase?" Teddy Bear enunciated. "Or chocolate that has already expired?" the other toys assumed. "Fellas! I and my company may be considered also as a toy." The orange clay spoke. "We are called—Clay." "Clay? What's that?" the Box eagerly asked. "Actually, we are just a simple toy. We are soft and sticky to hold but you can create any figures or objects you wanted to do. You can mold us whatever you want to make." the violet clay answered. "That's awesome! Could you share us a story?" the Teddy Bear asked with an inquisitive look. "We were owned by a blind kid, he went blind when he got a car accident. He lost his self-esteem since that day, he felt worthless and lonely which leaded him to become uncheerful and not sociable." The green clay started. "Good thing we were given to him by his grandfather. They spent most of the time with each other making different figures and colors. Even we were amazed on what they made to us." Blue clay pronounced happily. "Somehow we had helped to nurture the capabilities of that blind kid. Though he lost his sight, he used his imagination to create amazing objects based on what he touched. Thus, he regained his self-esteem and became a great artist. Did you know he was one of those legendary artists in arts?" the yellow clay proudly said. "Arts? What is Arts?" the Box asked in confusion.
  • 4. "Arts refer to any exercises which people could express their feelings and the beauty of his surroundings based on his senses and what he experienced. Did you know that the blind kid became famous on sculpture and literary?" the red clay smiled. "Wow! That was something really to be proud of! Hope we could find children who will enjoy playing and will be able to learn with us too." The toys daydreamed. They were in the midst of nice conversation when the old man finally closed the box. The toys went scared because for all they knew, they would be thrown away in the mountain of trash. Suddenly, they prayed. "God, we pray somebody would get to see us, hoping it is children. So that we could offer them the enjoyment and the happiness they deserve. Please be an instrument to us for them to learn the essence of giving and friendship. Likewise, widen their imagination to nourish their talents. Hope we find children that would consider us toys as a part of their childhood." The Box travelled so far. Hence, inside him has a pandemonium, the toys were bumping, rolling, tumbling and bouncing upwards and downwards. The toys forgot their anxiety about the mountain of garbage they thought they're destined to. At last, the box was put inside a big truck together with the other boxes. The box read the paper glued on his fellow boxes. "Box of Happiness. Season for Giving." The box just smiled. He imagined the children's faces eager for toys and toys inside him who were longing for the love of the children.
