What is Microteaching
?
Allen and Eve defined “
Microteaching as a system of
controlled practice that makes it
possible to concentrate on specific
teaching skills and to practice
teaching under controlled
conditions”.
What are Teaching
Skills ??
• SKILL OF WRITING OBJECTIVES : Involves identifying and analysing the
task and write objectives in behavioural
terms.
• SKILL OF INTRODUCING A LESSON : Teacher asks questions related to
previous knowledge and draw the
attention of the student to lesson and
motivate them to emotionally ready for
the lesson
• SKILL OF EXPLAINING : Teacher use her knowledge and related
statements to produce a meaningful
whole in development of new concept
• SKILL OF ILLUSTRATING WITH : Teacher uses simple and real life
EXAMPLES examples to make subject clear .
• SKILL OF BLACKBOARD WRITING: Teacher use BB systematically to
point out points and for illustrations
and diagrams .
• SKILL OF USING AUDIO-VISUAL AIDS : Teacher select relevant equipments an
present them in proper manner .
•SKILL OF REINFORCEMENT : Teacher recognize and accept student
responses and encourage the student

order to reinforce and helps to
