Teachers Preparation and
Knowledge
BY: ASHLEY EVANS
Teachers preparation and knowledge of
teaching and learning is what makes the
students become successful and achieve
their goals. Being a prepared teacher is an
effective strategy that I think will help
student achievement.
King Jr. (2016) explained that “On October 12,
2016, the U.S. Department of
Education released the Notice of Final
Rulemaking (NFR) for the Teacher Preparation
Regulations to help ensure that novice teachers
are ready to succeed in the classroom and that
every student is taught by a great educator.”
I think that a prepared teacher would be a
successful teacher if she plans her curriculum out in
a timeline that goes in order. You have to plan
ahead when I was in school teachers use to have
the whole week planned out of what they was
going to teach and how they was going to teach an
subject. Everything was in order on how it should
be taught. That’s why its important to plan ahead
and get to know your students.
1.Teacher preparation helps candidates develop the
knowledge and skill they need in the classroom
2.Well prepared teachers are more likely to remain in
teaching
3.Well prepared teachers produce higher student
achievement
4.Leading industrialized nations invest heavily in pre-
service teacher preparation
5.NCATE makes a difference in teacher preparation
According to,(“What Makes A Teacher Effective?”)
Teaching and learning are also skills to a student
achievements. If a prepared teacher is prepared she is willing
to teach and students are willing to learn. According to
(“Teacher Preparation: What Every Student Needs.”), Teaching
and learning are the most central activities of education; they
involve the teacher, the learner, the content, the strategies,
and the context for instruction. The mission of the
Department of Instruction and Learning (DIL) is to provide
regional, national, and international leadership in the study
and improvement of teaching and learning in diverse
educational settings.
