The target audience is myowncommunity. I amgoing to aim myvideoat myown demographic of 15 – 25. From 2009 to 2017
the rates ofdepression inteens have risenfrom10 to 15%. Also, the rates from 2014 went from9% to 15% within a 3-year
period. Manyyoung peopleexperience a lot of life at anage where theyare hittingpuberty. Social media paints a picture of life
for people where theycan goto with a click of a button. As nice as this sounds, this is a leading cause inmental healthissues.
When feeling alone andnervous, people canescape to their phonesfor hours ona day. This causespeople to spendlonger
alone andlonger without humancontact. People now, can watchandenjoythemselves in their room without needing to leave
their room. This is normallydone because younger people do not know how to socialize properly, or theyfind it easier to not
talk to others.
Young people are shownpeople to idolize onmedia and this effects their bodyandlifestyle. Manypeople beginto feel
worthless and beginto feellike. Their life is boring. Byknowing what theyare missing and where theysit insocial grade can
make people feel like theyare not living a goodlife andmakes people lose motivation. Young people are pressuredbyadults to
be productive Aswell. A lot ofyoung people feel sadandunmotivated but donot know the reason. Teens are toldeverything is
fine and willbe okay. Therefore, this advertisement will be aimedat reminding students about what is available andhow to
helpothers. Sometimes it is better to tell people where there is help, sotheycanfindit intheir owntime.
Young people alsofindthemselves, due to socialmediaand other factors, wanting to be happyrather than beingpositive. This
is called Toxic positivityandis discussed further backinmyresearch. This means, andis demonstrated inmyown friends and
family, that people are seekingto be happyandfeelincomplete without it. This is alsohowa lot of people live.
People cannowget anything withease. You want clothes? Theyare a click away. You want food?It is a click away. You want a
new toy, machine, ornament... Theyare just a click away. This sense of ease can be unbelievablybad for people and links back
to toxic positivity. If people do not findjoyin'things' theybecome miserable andbelieve nothingwill make them happy.
Therefore, inthe video I will needto linkto the Target audience bysaying that seeking out happiness is not the optionbut
being positive will bringjoyto you and others. However, the constant buyingof things canbringits ownset of problems as
showninmyresearch ofretailtherapy. Mytarget audience will be used to online buying. The act ofbuying canbring people
down due to the fact the person maynot feel like theyhave workedfor what theyhave bought. The endorphins will be
exceptionallylow andshort whichmaymake them wish to buymore. Therefore, inmyvideo I couldtryto talk about how
spendingmoney, will not make. A long-term solutionto people's problems. This is called retail therapywhichis againdiscussed
in myresearch.
As shown inmyresearch, fitness is a terrific wayto relax. Fitness is an effective wayfor the youthto not onlyget fitter but has
excellent improvements in mental health. As shownin myresearch it is an effective wayto relieve the side effects ofstress. In
my video I will tryto include fitnessandits benefits.
As part of myresearch, I made a surveyof mytarget audiences mental health.
As shownhere mostpeople feel goodonanaverage day whichisa goodthingbut there are still some
people who donotfeel goodin day-to-daylife.Thisshowsthatthe targetaudience feel okaybut are not
still happy.
As alsoshownagain, 62% of the audience findithardto findmotivationandthe restsometimesfindit
hard to findmotivation. Therefore,Ineedtofind away togive my audience motivationtogetupand
out.
87% of people findthattheyhave an unhealthyobsessionwithspendingmoney.Thisisrelatingbackto
my researchintoretail therapy.Iwill aimtotry and prove topeople thatgoingoutside andgoingfora
walkwill helpwiththeirmental health. BydoingthisIcan try to make my audience more active.Thiswill
alsohelppeople tosocializemore and use less social media,whichhasitsownissues.
As shownabove,75%of my audience prioritieshappinesswhichiswrong. Thisistoxicpositivityandwill
needtobe shownin myadvert.

Target audience

  • 1. The target audience is myowncommunity. I amgoing to aim myvideoat myown demographic of 15 – 25. From 2009 to 2017 the rates ofdepression inteens have risenfrom10 to 15%. Also, the rates from 2014 went from9% to 15% within a 3-year period. Manyyoung peopleexperience a lot of life at anage where theyare hittingpuberty. Social media paints a picture of life for people where theycan goto with a click of a button. As nice as this sounds, this is a leading cause inmental healthissues. When feeling alone andnervous, people canescape to their phonesfor hours ona day. This causespeople to spendlonger alone andlonger without humancontact. People now, can watchandenjoythemselves in their room without needing to leave their room. This is normallydone because younger people do not know how to socialize properly, or theyfind it easier to not talk to others. Young people are shownpeople to idolize onmedia and this effects their bodyandlifestyle. Manypeople beginto feel worthless and beginto feellike. Their life is boring. Byknowing what theyare missing and where theysit insocial grade can make people feel like theyare not living a goodlife andmakes people lose motivation. Young people are pressuredbyadults to be productive Aswell. A lot ofyoung people feel sadandunmotivated but donot know the reason. Teens are toldeverything is fine and willbe okay. Therefore, this advertisement will be aimedat reminding students about what is available andhow to helpothers. Sometimes it is better to tell people where there is help, sotheycanfindit intheir owntime. Young people alsofindthemselves, due to socialmediaand other factors, wanting to be happyrather than beingpositive. This is called Toxic positivityandis discussed further backinmyresearch. This means, andis demonstrated inmyown friends and family, that people are seekingto be happyandfeelincomplete without it. This is alsohowa lot of people live. People cannowget anything withease. You want clothes? Theyare a click away. You want food?It is a click away. You want a new toy, machine, ornament... Theyare just a click away. This sense of ease can be unbelievablybad for people and links back to toxic positivity. If people do not findjoyin'things' theybecome miserable andbelieve nothingwill make them happy. Therefore, inthe video I will needto linkto the Target audience bysaying that seeking out happiness is not the optionbut being positive will bringjoyto you and others. However, the constant buyingof things canbringits ownset of problems as showninmyresearch ofretailtherapy. Mytarget audience will be used to online buying. The act ofbuying canbring people down due to the fact the person maynot feel like theyhave workedfor what theyhave bought. The endorphins will be exceptionallylow andshort whichmaymake them wish to buymore. Therefore, inmyvideo I couldtryto talk about how spendingmoney, will not make. A long-term solutionto people's problems. This is called retail therapywhichis againdiscussed in myresearch. As shown inmyresearch, fitness is a terrific wayto relax. Fitness is an effective wayfor the youthto not onlyget fitter but has excellent improvements in mental health. As shownin myresearch it is an effective wayto relieve the side effects ofstress. In my video I will tryto include fitnessandits benefits. As part of myresearch, I made a surveyof mytarget audiences mental health. As shownhere mostpeople feel goodonanaverage day whichisa goodthingbut there are still some people who donotfeel goodin day-to-daylife.Thisshowsthatthe targetaudience feel okaybut are not still happy.
  • 2. As alsoshownagain, 62% of the audience findithardto findmotivationandthe restsometimesfindit hard to findmotivation. Therefore,Ineedtofind away togive my audience motivationtogetupand out. 87% of people findthattheyhave an unhealthyobsessionwithspendingmoney.Thisisrelatingbackto my researchintoretail therapy.Iwill aimtotry and prove topeople thatgoingoutside andgoingfora walkwill helpwiththeirmental health. BydoingthisIcan try to make my audience more active.Thiswill alsohelppeople tosocializemore and use less social media,whichhasitsownissues.
