Working on my own personal projects for the last four years
I have grown strong and confident with the work I can
create. However knowing my own boundaries for creativity,
university would open my eyes to new angles I have left
unseen before and help me explore my style and approach to
work.
What do you want to
do with your degree?
Why?
I wish to enter the film industry in any role possible. I am
committed to finding my way through the industry in order
to end up as an established cinematographer. Making the
image itself look pleasing while telling a story is my true
passion.
What skills have you
developed through
your college studies?
I never used to plan my own shoots, I used to dive
head first into my projects. However, college has
taught me how a project is researched, pitched,
planned and executed professionally within the
industry. Using this knowledge, I hope to continue
onto university and then refine my skills into the
filming sector, instead of the pitching and
planning.
What skills have you
developed through
work experience?
In my work experience I have worked with meash media.
Looking at how they approach a client and listen to their
needs, has shown me that some people in the real world do
not understand what they actually want sometimes and what
can be done within their budget. Therefore, sometimes work
will be compromised or an abundance of drafts will have to
be created before the final product is right.
What extra-curricular
activities have you
taken part in? What
skills have you
developed?
I was in the army cadet force for four years. Working
myself up to the rank of corporal, teaching and leading
groups of up to 20 people, taught me how to work and
communicate as a team efficiently and also take constructive
criticism effectively.

make a good student?
With my proven dedication, paired with the foundation of
industry knowledge, I believe I would make a great assist to
university and the team of people there.
