Cluster Based Web Search Using Support Vector MachineCSCJournals
Now days, searches for the web pages of a person with a given name constitute a notable fraction of queries to Web search engines. This method exploits a variety of semantic information extracted from web pages. The rapid growth of the Internet has made the Web a popular place for collecting information. Today, Internet user access billions of web pages online using search engines. Information in the Web comes from many sources, including websites of companies, organizations, communications and personal homepages, etc. Effective representation of Web search results remains an open problem in the Information Retrieval community. For ambiguous queries, a traditional approach is to organize search results into groups (clusters), one for each meaning of the query. These groups are usually constructed according to the topical similarity of the retrieved documents, but it is possible for documents to be totally dissimilar and still correspond to the same meaning of the query. To overcome this problem, the relevant Web pages are often located close to each other in the Web graph of hyperlinks. It presents a graphical approach for entity resolution & complements the traditional methodology with the analysis of the entity-relationship (ER) graph constructed for the dataset being analyzed. It also demonstrates a technique that measures the degree of interconnectedness between various pairs of nodes in the graph. It can significantly improve the quality of entity resolution. Using Support vector machines (SVMs) which are a set of related Supervised learning methods used for classification of load of user queries to the sever machine to different client machines so that system will be stable. clusters web pages based on their capacities stores whole database on server machine. Keywords: SVM, cluster; ER.

This paper presents a method based on principle of content based image retrieval for online shopping based on color, HSV aiming at efficient retrieval of images from the large database for online shopping specially for fashion shopping. Here, HSV modeling is used for creating our application with a huge image database, which compares image source with the destination components. In this paper, a technique is used for finding items by image search, which is convenient for buyers in order to allow them to see the products. The reason for using image search for items instead of text searches is that item searching by keywords or text has some issues such as errors in search items, expansion in search and inaccuracy in search results. This paper is an attempt to help users to choose the best options among many products and decide exactly what they want with the fast and easy search by image retrieval. This technology is providing a new search mode, searching by image, which will help buyers for finding the same or similar image retrieval in the database store. The image searching results have been made customers buy products quickly. This feature is implemented to identify and extract features of prominent object present in an image. Using different statistical measures, similarity measures are calculated and evaluated. Image retrieval based on color is a trivial task. Identifying objects of prominence in an image and retrieving image with similar features is a complex task. Finding prominent object in an image is difficult in a background image and is the challenging task in retrieving images. We calculated and change the region of interest in order to increase speed of operation as well as accuracy by masking the background content. The Implementation results proved that proposed method is effective in recalling the images of same pattern or texture.
FIND MY VENUE: Content & Review Based Location Recommendation SystemIJTET Journal
Abstract—Recommender system is a software application agent that presents the culls, interest and predilections of individual persons/ users and makes recommendation accordingly. During the online search they provide more facile method for users to make decisions predicated on their recommendations. Collaborative filtering (CF) technique is utilized, which is predicated on past group community opinions for utilizer and item and correlates them to provide results to the utilizer queries. Here the LARS is a location cognizant recommender system to engender location recommendation by utilizing location predicated ratings within a single framework. The system suggests k items personalized for a querying utilizer u. For traditional system which could not fortify spatial properties of users, community opinion can be expressed through triple explicit ratings that are (utilizer, rating, item) which represents a utilizer providing numeric ratings for an item. LARS engenders recommendation through taxonomy of three types of location predicated ratings. Namely spatial ratings for non-spatial items, non-spatial ratings for spatial items, spatial ratings for spatial items. Through this LARS can apply with the Content & Review Predicated Location Recommendation System. Which gives a culled utilizer a group of venues or ads by giving thought to each personal interest and native predilection. This system deals with offline modeling and on-line recommendation. To get the instant results, a ascendable question process technique is developed by elongating each the edge rule with Threshold Algorithm.

While transferring a file from one point to another through Intranet and Internet we need more file secure concepts. Ordinary, file Encryption-Decryption Concepts, which are readily available in java examples are easily captured by middle way itself. So we need more security combination. This project helps to send a file from one place to another in a secured manner. Firstly the target file is encrypted and it is embedded into an audio or video or any media file. The resultant file will be protected by a password. This resultant media file is not changed in its original format and it can be run in the player, we can’t find any encrypted data inside it. This format will be sent through net. In the destination point it will be retrieved only by our software and giving the relevant password. So it is highly secured.

Nowadays Social Media focus on users to billions of images, famous e commerce web sites such as Flipkart, Amazon etc. Tag-primarily based definitely image are seeking for is an essential method to find photos shared with the aid of manner of clients in social networks. But, a manner to make the top ranked result applicable and with range is difficult. In this paper, we advocate a topic diverse ranking method for tag-primarily based photo retrieval with the eye of selling the situation insurance overall performance. First, we bring together a tag graph based totally absolutely at the similarity among every tag. Then network detection approach is accomplished to mine the subject community of every tag. After that, inter-community and intra-network ranking are added to gather the very last retrieved results. Inside the inter-network rating way, an adaptive random stroll model is employed to rank the network primarily based at the multi-information of every topic community D. Dhayalan | M. AN INTEGRATED RANKING ALGORITHM FOR EFFICIENT INFORMATION COMPUTING IN SOCIAL...ijwscjournal
Social networks have ensured the expanding disproportion between the face of WWW stored traditionally in search engine repositories and the actual ever changing face of Web. Exponential growth of web users and the ease with which they can upload contents on web highlights the need of content controls on material published on the web. As definition of search is changing, socially-enhanced interactive search methodologies are the need of the hour. Ranking is pivotal for efficient web search as the search performance mainly depends upon the ranking results. In this paper new integrated ranking model based on fused rank of web object based on popularity factor earned over only valid interlinks from multiple social forums is proposed. This model identifies relationships between web objects in separate social networks based on the object inheritance graph. Experimental study indicates the effectiveness of proposed Fusion based ranking algorithm in terms of better search results.
Multi-Mode Conceptual Clustering Algorithm Based Social Group Identification ...inventionjournals
The problem of web search time complexity and accuracy has been visited in many research papers, and the authors discussed many approaches to improve the search performance. Still the approaches does not produce any noticeable improvement and struggles with more time complexity as well. To overcome the issues identified, an efficient multi mode conceptual clustering algorithm has been discussed in this paper, which identifies the similar interested user groups by clustering their search context according to different conceptual queries. Identified user groups are shared with the related conceptual queries and their results to reduce the time complexity. The multi mode conceptual clustering, performs grouping of search queries and users according to number of users and their search pattern. The concept of search is identified by using Natural language processing methods and the web logs produced by the default web search engines. The author designed a dedicated web interface to collect the web log about the user search and the same data has been used to cluster the social groups according to number of conceptual queries. The search results has been shared between the users of identified social groups which reduces the search time complexity and improves the efficiency of web search in better manner

A COMPREHENSIVE STUDY ON DATA EXTRACTION IN SINA WEIBOijaia
With the rapid growth of users in social networking services, data is generated in thousands of terabytes
every day. Practical frameworks for data extraction from social networking sites have not been well
investigated yet. In this paper, a methodology for data extraction with respect to Sina Weibo is discussed.
In order to design a proper method for data extraction, the properties of complex networks and the
challenges when extracting data from complex networks are discussed first. Then, the reason for choosing
Sina Weibo as the data source is given. After that, the methods for data gathering are introduced and the
techniques for data sampling and data clean-up are discussed. Over 1 million users and hundreds of
millions of social relations between them were extracted from Sina Weibo using the methods proposed in
this paper.

One key question we set out to answer was “how can visual mediation help users navigate the rich semantic data that represent the scholarship data recorded in VIVO knowledge-base?” Can visualizations be used to make the content more consumable and answer the questions that cannot easily be answered by browsing list views.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

TAG BASED IMAGE SEARCH BY SOCIAL RE-RANKING
1. TAG BASED IMAGE SEARCH BY SOCIAL RE-RANKING
ABSTRACT:
Social media sharing websites like Flickr allow users to annotate images with
free tags, which significantly contribute to the development of the web image
retrieval and organization. Tag-based image search is an important method to
find images contributed by social users in such social websites. However, how
to make the top ranked result relevant and with diversity is challenging. In this
paper, we propose a social re-ranking system for tag-based image retrieval
with the consideration of image’s relevance and diversity. We aim at re-
ranking images according to their visual information, semantic information and
social clues. The initial results include images contributed by different social
users. Usually each user contributes several images. First we sort these images
by inter-user re-ranking. Users thathavehigher contribution to the given query
rank higher. Then we sequentially implement intra-user re-ranking on the
ranked user’s image set, and only the most relevant image from each user’s
image set is selected. These selected images compose the final retrieved
results. We build an inverted index structure for the social image dataset to
accelerate the searching process. Experimental results on Flickr dataset show
that our social re-ranking method is effective and efficient.
CONCLUSION
In this paper, we propose a social re-ranking method for tag-based image
retrieval. In this social re-ranking method, inter-user re-ranking and intra-user
2. re-ranking are carried out to obtain the retrieved results. In order to enhance
the diversity performance, user information is firstly introduced into our
proposed approach and obtains satisfactory results. Besides, views of social
image is also firstly fused into a traditional regularization framework to
enhance the relevance performance of retrieved results. Discussions and
experiments have demonstrated that our proposed method is effective and
time-saving. However, in the inter-user ranking process only user’s
contribution is considered and the similarity among users is ignored. In
addition to this, many information in Flickr dataset are still ignored, such as
title information, time stamp and so on. For future work, we will investigate
the similarity among user groups in Flickr dataset. Therefore, we can fusethese
relationships to enhance the diversity performance of image ranking system.
