The first bomb exploded on Hiroshima, Japan on the 6th of August 1945. Between 1945 1980 s

In order for the bomb to occur the subcritical masses must be brought together to form a
supercritical mass, this provides enough neutrons to create and maintain a fission reaction. This is
done through a neutron generator. This is a generator containing a small pellet of beryllium and

The foil is broken when the subcritical masses combine and polonium emits alpha particles, the
alpha particles collide with beryllium 9 producing beryllium 8 and free neutrons, these neutrons

explodes. This occurs by containing the fission reaction with tamper which is a dense material
usually made of Urainium 238. The tamper gets heated and expands as the fission core expands;

Karl Lashley was born on June 7, 1890 in Davis, West Virginia and died at 68 years old on
August 7th, 1958 in France. He was raised in a middle class family as an only child. Lashley
gained the love of learning from his mother. She was a stay at home mom and often had women
from the community teach Karl various subjects. Lashley kept to himself when he was a kid. He
didn t have many friends, and spent most of his time wandering the woods collecting mice,

A good word to describe the first sound that came out of my French horn could be called a
screech. When I first looked at the instrument I originally thought the bell faced upward in the air.
You would never believe that only two years later I was able to sight read pieces of music and
preform them in a matter of an hour during a workshop at Disney world. The quick improvement
that I made in my music ability showed my natural tenacity and persistence.
Growing up I was always around musicians, and music interested me, but I was always steered
towards more academics. I finally got into music in High School. It made me rather nervous
because here I was sitting in a room with people who basically played instruments and sung
within the womb, and I was unable to even read music. So at first I asked my friends who were
all music aficionados. Every second thing that came out of my mouth was a question about
music. What was tone? How do I play a scale? What is moderato? And how on earth was I going

Thus far in the program I have had the opportunity to experience the process of group therapy.
Luckily, I have had the opportunity to run group sessions at my practicum site, so I have gained
substantial information about the group process. As I have learned in this program, group therapy is

group setting. As a therapist, I believe it is essential to experience what group process is like.

Mythology is a key part of many of Zora Neale Hurston s short stories and novels. She researched
the stories of her home town and many other areas of the world. Hurston used this knowledge of
myths and stories to help her carry them on to later generations in a form that almost everybody
could relate to. Through out all of Zora Neale Hurston s stories, mythology has been a crucial
keystone. Her novel, Their Eyes Were Watching God, has been influenced by three different ancient
myths: the myths of Ezili Freda, Osirisand Isis, and Aphrodite and Adonis.
Janie s love for nature and turbulent relationships comes from the myth of the Haitian Goddess of

and Osiris. Ishtar is a goddess associated with love and was very callous with the men that she
loved. (Pondrom 181). Ishtar fell in love with a God by the name of Tammuz and eventually
ended up being responsible for his death (Pondrom 181). She descended into the underworld and
was successful in bringing him back and she lived at peace (Pondrom 181). We see strong
parallels to this myth in Their Eyes Were Watching God. After multiple loveless relationships
Janie fell in love with Tea Cake. She eventually had to kill him because he had rabies. Later, she
was able to restore him to her memory, bringing her peace. Isis and Osiris were in love, but this
relationship did not last long once Osiris was killed (Pondrom 181). Osiris body was sent out on a
ship and Isis goes to retrieve the body and is able to partially restore him (Pondrom 181). Again, a
