Store Manager & Buyer

SALES
 Help create and achieve targeted sales goals
 Provide sales support for the team
 Incentives – review and assess the requirement for incentives to help
support sales goals
 Assist with store events to help support sales targets
MANAGING STAFF
 Train, manage and support sales team
 Ensure communication of product knowledge to selling team ie: fit, fabric,
care, designer, etc.
 Create/manage staff schedule
 Maintain open and honest communication with the team, always with a
positive attitude
 Loss prevention – ensure staff is equipped to address the possibility of
theft
DAILY OPERATIONS
 Ensure proper opening and closing procedures as well as accurate reports
 Track budget expenses vs financial objectives and initiate corrective
actions if/when required
 Manage stock level of store supplies (including online requirements)
INVENTORY CONTROL
 Ensure availability of merchandise
 Manage accurate inventory including creating PO’s, receiving and regular
stock counts and update both Lightspeed and Shopify when there is a
discrepancy
 Place weekly/monthly restocks
 Analyze profitability of inventory monthly/seasonally
 Assess slow moving items and request exchanges/discounts with vendors
 Report and manage product damages and returns to vendor (RA’s)
CLIENT EXPERIENCE
 Maintaining product presentation and store cleanliness
 Adhere to and encourage ‘Drop and Go’ with team
 Continue to share the Shop Your Shape message/philosophy
 Encourage a fun attitude and easy going attitude when developing
relationships with clientele
 Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by always setting a good
example
ONLINE STORE
 Point of contact for all communication with online customers including
assisting online customers with purchases/questions
 Manage shipping and returns for all online orders
BUYING
 Review historical performance of categories and assist in creating a
budget/ forecast
 Book buying appointments
 Assist owner with buying inventory for the store
 Input orders into a buying template that is compatible with Lightspeed and
send off orders to respective vendors
