From the survey results, the following can be concluded about the target audience for a horror film: 1) The majority of respondents were female aged 15-27 who preferred paranormal horror films set in haunted houses with demons as the villain. 2) Respondents indicated that story line was the most important aspect for attracting them to a film. 3) To appeal to viewers, the opening sequence should immediately create a sense of tension and suspense through paranormal activity occurring in a haunted house setting. 4) Based on the preferences and viewing habits expressed, the target demographic is likely to be teenagers and young adults who enjoy keeping up with the latest popular horror films.

audience will predominantly revolve around & what the audience would like to

sequence in order to appeal to our viewers.
Main considerations which will be taken into account are what the audience
would like to see, this mainly revolves around paranormal activity during the
scene.
Some aspects about the audience which we believe to be important are the
ages, mostly ranging from 15-27+, therefore allowing us to determine an age
certificate, most probably being a ‘16’.
