This document discusses the Japanese expression "ようになる" which indicates that a state changes into another state gradually over time. It can be used to express becoming able to do something or acquiring a new habit. Examples are given of responding to questions using "ようになる" as well as expressing a reversed meaning using a plain negative form. The expression "ようにする" is also discussed, which means to make efforts to do something habitually. Examples are provided of its dictionary and negative forms.
