opinion articles written by American and Iranian journalists. To this end, two of the leading
newspapers in the United States and Iran, The New York Times and Tehran Times, have been
chosen. Based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of textual features and marked and
unmarked themes of 12 opinion articles (6 from each newspaper), this study aims to find out how
these two groups of professional writers organize their themes, into marked and unmarked ones and
what effects these organizations have on the audiences. The findings revealed that textual features
were present in both sets of data. The occurrences of marked and unmarked themes were not
significantly different. The findings revealed that thematization patterns can help the understanding
of the texts. The results also showed that marked themes have an impact on the audiences. The

The book The Alchemist teaches you about following your dreams no matter what the
consequences are. The book is about a kid that follows his dreams no matter what,and people
help him through out the way .In the alchemist tells to NEVER lose hope and,it teaches us that a
person desires something the whole universe will conspire to help that person realise his
dream.Santiago led a flock of sheep all among the countryside,and throughout he started to like
stuff and wanted to accomplish more stuff such as travel.One day he decided to sleep in an
abandoned church in his bag he had a book and his jacket he used his jacket as a blanket and the
book as a pillow. The very next day he woke up he noticed that the sheep were waking up the same
time that he was ,and he stayed thinking that the sheep might of known his schedule but some were
still asleep.Later on that day he took the sheep to the merchantto sell some wool,but the merchant
was busy so he passionately waited on the steps of the merchantsstore. While he was waiting on
the steps he took a book out and read and the merchant s daughter was passing by she seemed
confused and surprised because she hasn t meet anybody that knows how to read or knows
anything about education or three languages .They had a good talk and he fell in lovewith her but
