This document discusses solar power, including its functions and existing and future locations in Pakistan. Solar power generates electricity from sunlight, which contains photons that can transform electrons into charge carriers. The electricity from solar panels is used to power appliances, heat water, and extract water for irrigation. Certain areas in northern and central Balochistan, southern Sindh, and northern Sindh receive high sunlight and have proven suitable for current and future solar panel installations.

2. Introduction
Solar power is electricity generated from
the levels of natural energy contained
within the suns rays (solar radiation). The
suns rays contain photons. These photons
are capable of transforming electrons into
conduction electrons, which means they are
able to carry an electrical charge.

6. Functions
The electricity produced by solar panels is used:
 To power certain home appliances e.g fans, lights
ovens, TVs etc.
 To heat water and keep homes warm during cold
weather.
 To extract water from sub-soil for irrigation
purposes.

7. Existing & Future Locations
Certain areas in
Pakistan have
proved as great
spots for solar
panels in present
time as well as for
the future. They are
directly exposed to
sun and receive high
amount of rays.
These areas are
Northern and
Central Balochistan,
Southern Sindh and
