HOW SOLAR SYSTEM WORK
LARGEST SOLAR
SYSTEMS IN THE
WORLD
• The largest solar power plant
in the world is located in
China. It covers an area of 27
square kilometers and can
generate up to 850 MW of
electricity.
SOLAR ADVANCEMENT IN
PAKISTAN
• Government encouraging this sector by giving
exemption of sales tax
• In 2012, the Pakistani government launched the
Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) to
promote renewable energy, including solar power.
The AEDB has set a goal of generating 5,000 MW of
electricity from renewable energy sources by 2030,
with a significant portion coming from solar power.
• Pakistan has also been working on large-scale solar
projects, including the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park in
Bahawalpur, which is one of the largest solar power
plants in the world. The plant has a capacity of
1,000 MW and is expected to generate more than 2
billion kWh of electricity per year.
SOLAR AVAILABLE IN
PAKISTAN
Monocrystalline
solar panels are
best for areas
where space is
limited since they
produce more
electricity on a
smaller scale than
poly panels.
SOLAR AVAILABLE
IN PAKISTAN
Half-cut solar plate
The panel is then
divided in half so
that the top runs
independently of
the bottom,
generating more
energy even if one
part is shaded.
SOLAR AVAILABLE
IN PAKISTAN
• In the BIFACIAL SOLAR plate
both sides of the cell, front
and rear, can absorb solar
radiation. This occurs when
the nearby ground or other
artificial surfaces are highly
reflective.
CALCULATION OF ELECTRICITY UNIT THAT
MIGHT BE SAVED BY SOLAR PANEL
• 233.3 millions/3=77.8 millions fans
• 77.8 millions fans *(150/1000)*24 hours=280 millions kw per day.
• Saving 280*(8/24)=93.7 millions kw per day
Consumption 280*(16/24)=183.63 millions kw per day.
• Savings per week 93.7 millions kw per day *7=655.9 millions kw
per week
• Savings per month 93.7 millions kw per day*30=2811millions kw
per month
• Savings per year 93.7 millions kw per day*365=34200.5 millions kw
per year
ADVANTAGES
• Solar energy is a renewable energy source and reduces carbon
emissions.
• Solar energy can reduce your electricity bill.
• Solar power can get you money back through Solar Renewable
Energy Credits (SRECs).
• Homes with solar panels installed may improve home value.
• Make you independent
• Useful life is up to 25 years.
• Increase the life of your battery
DISADVANTAGES
• The high initial costs of installing solar panels.
• Solar energy storage is expensive.
• Hybrid solar system is to expensive
• Solar doesn't work for every cities.
• Solar panels are dependent on sunlight.
• Solar panels required space.
CONCLUSION
• It will help reduce global warming, and thus a future green
environment with no pollution from fossil fuels, and other
conventional sources of energy.
• If you compare cost with benefit than definitely benefits are
high.
• Our school , colleges , universities , madrassas can total rely on
it.
THANK YOU
HISTORY
• . The first solar cell was invented in 1954 by Bell Labs. It was
made of silicon and had an efficiency of only 6 percent.
• In the 1970s, the oil crisis led to a renewed interest in solar
power. Governments began to invest in solar technology and
research, and the first solar-powered calculators and watches
were introduced.
• The first solar-powered airplane to fly around the world was
the Solar Impulse 2. It completed its journey in 2016, flying
over 40,000 kilometers without using any fuel.
INTRODUCTION
• A solar panel is a device that converts sunlight into electricity
by using photovoltaic cells. PV cells are made of materials that
generate electrons when exposed to light. The electrons flow
through a circuit and produce direct current electricity, which
can be used to power various devices or be stored in batteries.
