How Did You attract/address the audience?
PropsThe clothing of the characters we used to attract the young crowd, and to identify the characters where similar to our target audience, so the audience could relate to the characters. This was a young age representation.Other props such cigarettes, and alcohol where used to show the young people at a party socialising, whilst drinking and smoking which is a common representation of young people in the media. All these props where used so the audience could relate and signify the representations and personalities of the characters.
LocationWe identified a house party so be our main scene. This again is because a common stereotype of young people and house parties, so we believed it would be a good location in order for the audience to relate to the film and be attracted.
StorylineThe storyline in a film is vital, the audience can be interested by it. If the story line can relate and based around the target audiences stereotypes the audience will be interested. The storyline in our film is based on a stalker who is obsessed with the female character. But also our film also shows you the 21st century young peoples lives. By using such things as young relationship problems, jealously within friends, drinking and partying, most young people could relate or know the common stereotype.
FeedbackWe posted our film on many social websites for example we used face book but also YouTube. We used these social websites because our target audience which is young people commonly used these websites so we gain feedback which is reliable.Questions we asked –1-What Genre did u think our film was and why?2-Did our film appeal to you?3-Can you briefly explain what our film was about?4-would you like to watch the rest of our film? Why or why not?The feedback we gained back was most people thought our film was a horror although one person referred to it as a thriller. Our target audience was the audience which wanted to watch the rest of our film so we reached out to them. All the feedback showed that our storyline was easy to understand and everyone knew the theme of the stalker. Everyone wanted to watch the rest of our film either to find out who the stalker was or wondered what happened to the girl.
HannahLenane - I feel that the music was successful, it suits the film genre well. I also think that you have made interesting and artistic use of mise-en-scene, props and camera shots/angles. Finally, although I feel that the transition between each shot is smooth, some of the fades last a little too long between shots.. Also on occassion there is still a little sound left in where it shouldn't be? e.g. people talking in the background. But overall a successful and effective piece of work :)
EvaluationOverall our feedback was positive. The comments we received all showed we reached out to our target audience and many of them was interested to see the rest. All audience gathered the storyline of our film. Therefore i think as a group we pulled thought attracting the audience based on our feedback from the several audiences.
