Work Experience
MEMBERSHIP SALES REPRESENTATIVE- Hilltop Family YMCA (9/2015- PRESENT)
Enthusiastically and effectively promote the YMCA to current and prospective members and sell
memberships. Timely and accurately completion of all paperwork and data entry for interview tours,
membership and program sales. Handle all monetary transactions according to protocols to ensure “bat
ches” balance with transactions. Attend trainings and bi-monthly staff meetings to increase job perform

SUMMER CAMP DIRECTOR: Hilltop YMCA, 6/2012-8/2014 (Summer Employment) Coordinate
and supervise the planning of the summer camp staff and activities. Supervise 12 Camp Leaders
and 80 plus campers. Used experience as Camp leader to prepare daily activities. Schedule and
budget weekly fieldtrips. Create weekly Y Camp newsletters for parents and Y Staff. Delegate
duties to staff. Oversee timesheet completion.
AFTER SCHOOL LEADER: Aspiranet, Roots International Academy, Oakland, CA. 11/6/2012-
6/9/2013) Conduct after school activities to middle school aged students. Supervise academic
hour. Distribute snacks, lesson plans, and readings. Teach a choir and theatre class to a class of
10-20 students daily. Supervise sign in/out, as well as drop offs. Attend staff pre/post day
meetings.
RECREATIONAL LEADER- Albany YMCA, 8/22/2011- 3/2/2012- Create monthly activities for
students K-2, supervise groups of 15-20 children daily. Conduct pick-up and drop-off walks to
schools. Plan and organize a family reunion monthly with other staff. Attend weekly staff meetings,
and quarterly staff trainings.
YEOP SPECIALIST- Employment Development Department (EDD) Concord, West Contra Costa
County, 6/18/07-8/20/2010 -Responsible for a caseload of 25 “at risk youth” (included homeless, g
ang members & incarcerated youth) ages 16-24 to overcome barriers that prevented them from re
aching their educational/occupational goals. Conducted assessment, identified barriers to employ
ment & developed Individual Development Plans (IDP). Facilitated employer outreach and establis
hed business contacts marketing program and partner services and to determine employer need.
Developed & conducted job preparation workshops, resume workshops, skills assessments and as
sisted youth in connecting with other One-Stop services.
2. CASEWORKER ASSISTANT - (Summer Employment), Richmond Workforce One-Stop, YouthWO
RKS, 5/1/08-09/18/08- Assisted Director of the YouthWORKs Program. Visit current work sites, co
nducted assessments of youth placements, evaluated progress and challenges; made adjustment
to assignment plan when needed. Visited and marketed services to potentially new work sites, pro
vided informational packets regarding the program and discussed the benefits and opportunities. A
cted as liaison between director and case workers. Processed program applications and registered
them in the accounting system. Organized and participated in the Orientation for youth accepted i
nto the program. Assigned work sites to youth approved for the program. Scheduled introduction o
f employers and youth assigned to employer work site and posted activity on Director and case wo
rker calendars.
