INTRODUCTION OF FOUNDER“SHIV NADAR” IS THE FOUNDER-CHAIRMAN OF HCL
 HCL (Hindustan Computers Limited)
 Known as father of India’s IT industry
 Native of  MOOLAIPOZHI village in  TUTICORIN                       District (Tamil Nadu)

In 1968, he moved to Delhi where he worked as engineer  with DCM
His dream was to startup his own company to manufacture computer in IndiaHISTORYTo raise fund initially, he floated a company called “Microcomp Limited” to sell scientific calculators
 Along with five of his friends (Arjun Malhotra, Subhash Arora, Ajai Chowdhry, DS Puri & Yogesh Vaidya)
 Received support from the Uttar Pradesh government to setup their manufacturing in Noida.
Mr. Nadar founded HCL in 1976 with dream of making  personal computers.
In 1977, due to the policies of Indian industries minister George Fernandes , global giants like IBM (even Coca-Cola left India ). Which gave major opportunity of HCL. The very next year, HCL developed India’s first Micro Computer.
After expansion of business, Mr. Nadar decided to increase demand for IT education and Computer Training.
 In 1981 he setup NIIT to impart high quality education.
