incorporates several eco-friendly features and design strategies. These include:
•Passive Design: The building design maximizes the use of natural light and ventilation. Large windows and
skylights allow ample daylight into the interior spaces, reducing the need for artificial lighting. Cross-ventilation
and shading devices help maintain comfortable indoor temperatures.
•Energy Efficiency: The building incorporates energy-efficient lighting systems and equipment. Energy-saving
measures, such as the use of energy-efficient appliances and insulation, were implemented to reduce energy
consumption.
•Water Management: Rainwater harvesting systems were incorporated to capture and store rainwater for various
purposes. The facility also features efficient water fixtures and wastewater treatment systems to minimize water
wastage.
•Use of Sustainable Materials: The construction materials used in LaCONES were selected with sustainability in
mind. Whenever possible, recycled and locally sourced materials were preferred to reduce environmental impact.

7. Residential Vocational Training Centre, Sanjeevan Vidyalaya,
Panchgani
• Project-residential school/boarding school campus concept-
creating a healthy balance between free interaction and
disciplined segregation. The sloping site was the basis for the form
development which resulted in a playful built form complying with
the concept. The learning experience was enhanced by the
inclusion of landscaped interaction spaces.

because of the landscaped interaction spaces created in and
around the built form.

10. This building is located on the main Pune - Bangalore
highway where vehicles move at around 100 km. per hour.
Thus the perception of this building had to be catchy and
arresting enough to make an impact in those very few
seconds of visibility.
The multi faceted facade, looks different at different times
from different angles because of the multiple reflections.
The sales and the service sections are located on either
side of the entrance driveway with the large workshop at
the back.
On the whole, this entire spatial and functional experience
is a pleasantly attractive one for all the owners, staff,
workers, the customers and the car itself.

The site is situated on the main Pune – Bengaluru
Highway where high traffic flow is observed. The
challenge that the site imposed was to ‘bring a design that
would impart a dynamic image to an already known
brand’. The façade was designed as such that it looked
different at different times and angles.

14. • space for around 1,000 outpatients and about 500
inpatients. The design parameters gave rise to the basic shape
of the built form. To address good health with good
environment courtyards and the built spaces were arranged in
an interlacing manner which also created short circulation
linkages.

16. SDM Medical
College,

• The concept for the medical college
situated alongside a teaching hospital was to
create spaces that can enhance learning
possibilities. To implement the concept into
actuality, the building has an entrance on both
ground level as well as the first-floor level
with inviting wide steps. The inside of the
building is pierced with a beautiful circular
skylight with landscaped courtyards, which
creates a breezy ambiance as well as an
interaction space.
